The Independent Entrepreneurship Program is one of the strategic efforts of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of students through direct experiential learning. This program is present as a forum for students to not only understand entrepreneurship theory, but also to practice in real life the process of building and managing a business. In its implementation, the program involves active collaboration between universities, industry mentors, and field supervisors who play a role in providing direction, guidance, and evaluation of student business development. Through Independent Entrepreneurship, students are given the opportunity to design creative business ideas, run a business on a real scale, and solve various entrepreneurial challenges they face. This activity not only trains managerial, communication, and innovation skills, but also improves critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In addition, students gain valuable experience in terms of teamwork, financial management, marketing strategies, building business networks, and the use of digital technology to support business sustainability. The results of the program implementation show positive impacts, including increased confidence, independence, and students' understanding of the real business world. Furthermore, this program encourages the creation of an entrepreneurial ecosystem in a sustainable campus environment and is able to be the forerunner of the birth of a young generation of Indonesian entrepreneurs who are resilient, innovative, creative, adaptive to changing times, and have high competitiveness. Thus, Independent Entrepreneurship not only plays a role as a skill development program, but also becomes one of the important foundations in preparing students to face the world of work and becoming independent business actors who are professional, visionary, sustainability-oriented, and make a real contribution to the nation's economic development.

This study examines the impact of the Thematic Community Service Program (KKN Tematik) on rural development, particularly focusing on two main initiatives: the creation of social signage and the renovation of the village security post. The KKN Tematik program serves as a platform for students to contribute to local development through scientific knowledge and participatory approaches. The first initiative involved designing and installing various social signage, such as warnings for “Damaged Road,” “Detour,” and notices for “Obituary,” which played a significant role in improving public awareness about road safety and other community issues. The second initiative focused on renovating the village security post, thereby enhancing local safety infrastructure and encouraging a sense of collective responsibility for the community’s security. The methodology used was participatory, which involved engaging local residents in every phase of the project, from planning to implementation and evaluation. This ensured that the initiatives were not only relevant to the community but also received strong support from local stakeholders. The results highlighted several positive outcomes: a marked improvement in visual communication awareness, increased collective participation in village security, and a better understanding of the role of infrastructure in community well-being. Additionally, the program also contributed to the local economy by employing village workers and sourcing materials locally, which stimulated the regional economy. The success of these initiatives demonstrates that community-based interventions, even on a small scale, can have substantial social and economic impacts, and it also shows that such projects can encourage sustainable rural development by fostering collaboration, strengthening local infrastructure, and promoting community engagement.

To improve public health, especially for elementary school-aged children, one of the most important prevention methods is Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). The purpose of this study was to improve the understanding and utilization of PHBS among students at Bayak Public Elementary School in Siremen Village, Tanara District through counseling and live demonstrations. This activity was carried out by the KKM Group 95 team from Bina Bangsa University for 83 second- and fourth-grade students at Bayak Public Elementary School. The method used was a participatory educational approach, namely by providing counseling related to PHBS and continued with live demonstrations of handwashing, tooth brushing, and maintaining personal hygiene. The material was delivered interactively to make it easier for children to understand, including the use of visual media such as posters and pictures. The students were also given direct practice tools such as soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste so they could directly practice proper hygiene practices. The results of the activity showed that students had a better understanding of PHBS and made positive changes in their daily lives at school. It appeared that students were better trained in maintaining personal and environmental hygiene. They also began to get used to washing their hands before eating, maintaining dental hygiene, and disposing of trash properly. Teachers and homeroom teachers also actively supported this initiative by participating in outreach activities and monitoring changes in student behavior. This initiative not only raised students' awareness of the importance of health but also encouraged active school participation in creating a healthy learning environment. It is hoped that this initiative will serve as a reference for schools in teaching students how to live a healthy and clean lifestyle in a sustainable manner.

Pancasila, as the national ideology of Indonesia, plays a crucial role in shaping the character and behavior of society. However, in recent decades, the implementation of Pancasila's values has faced significant challenges due to social inequalities and the impacts of globalization. Social and cultural changes brought about by globalization, such as individualism and hedonism, threaten the core principles of Pancasila, such as mutual cooperation, tolerance, and social justice. As the next generation, students are expected to become agents of change by implementing the values of Pancasila in society. However, despite the principles of Pancasila being outlined in various policies, many practices still contradict these values. Therefore, there is a need for greater efforts to instill a deeper and more practical understanding of Pancasila in order to create a harmonious, just society in accordance with the guidelines of Pancasila. Conflict is a common dynamic within student groups, often arising from differences in background, perspectives, and communication styles. This study aims to analyze the role of communication in resolving group conflicts among students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, 36 active students with group work experience were selected as respondents through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that comfort in expressing opinions (61.1%) and willingness to listen (72.2%) are key indicators of effective communication. Nevertheless, 69.4% of respondents reported experiencing conflicts, mostly due to misunderstandings and ineffective communication (77.8%). Open communication, group discussions, and the active role of group leaders were found to significantly facilitate conflict resolution. However, satisfaction with conflict resolution was relatively low, with only 55.6% expressing satisfaction, indicating a need to enhance interpersonal communication skills and leadership roles. This study recommends strengthening a culture of open, honest, and participatory communication as a key to fostering harmonious and productive student group dynamics.

This study aims to examine the role of Self-Determination in improving students' learning persistence in the digital era. Self-Determination Theory explains that long-lasting learning motivation arises from within the individual, which is influenced by the fulfillment of three basic psychological needs: autonomy, competence, and relatedness. Amidst the challenges of the digital era, such as social media distractions, students are required to have internal motivation to remain diligent in learning. Through a qualitative approach, the researcher interviewed five students in depth. The results showed that students were able to maintain learning persistence because of personal goals, parental support, and previous academic success experiences. The three aspects of Self-Determination have been shown to play an important role in shaping students' learning persistence despite facing digital disruptions. This study shows the importance of strengthening internal motivation to support learning success in the digital era.

In the current era of globalization, ease of access to information and the expansion of scholarship opportunities have facilitated greater mobility among Indonesian students seeking higher education abroad. This phenomenon has contributed to the rise of Indonesian intellectual diasporas, who, while pursuing academic excellence, also serve as cultural ambassadors representing Indonesia on the global stage. Their presence abroad extends beyond academic engagement, encompassing efforts to promote national identity and foster cultural understanding. This study examines the dual role of Indonesian students overseas, focusing on their pursuit of education as well as their contributions to the preservation and promotion of Indonesian cultural identity in international contexts. Expressions of patriotism are frequently demonstrated through the performance and dissemination of traditional arts and cultural practices. By doing so, these students not only maintain a connection to their homeland but also enhance Indonesia’s cultural visibility in diverse academic and social environments.
