In the era of free markets, Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) must fulfill specific conditions in order to compete. In order to help business actors—particularly craftspeople and MSME actors—better expand their enterprises, community service activities are necessary because many of them still lack business legitimacy. The purpose of this activity is to introduce the company Identification Number (NIB), which may be obtained online, and to raise awareness of the need of maintaining company licenses. The Indonesian government wants to make business actor registration easier by using the Online Single Submission (OSS) to submit NIBs. The provision of business legality theory and practice is part of this support. The purpose of this study is to arm business actors with information and expertise about creating NIB so they may grow their enterprises. The findings demonstrated that the community's comprehension of creating NIB, which each and every business actor must own, had improved. Because the NIB has granted legal status to the firm, it has made doing business simpler. MSME participants in Seberang Sanglar Village also benefit from protection from the government, easy access to financing, government empowerment, and support for their business growth.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sraten Village are not yet aware of the importance of business legality due to a lack of knowledge about business permits that are useful for expanding the market for MSMEs in Sraten Village. This activity aims to raise awareness among MSME actors in Sraten Village about the importance of business legality, such as the Business Identification Number (NIB) and halal certification, in order to expand the market and enhance competitiveness.  Based on observations, it was found that many MSME actors in the village still do not understand the importance of business legality.  To address this issue, socialization and assistance were provided in the registration of NIB using the OSS system. As a result, 28 business actors in the culinary field successfully registered and obtained their NIB. Additionally, halal certification was introduced to enhance consumer trust and expand access to the global halal market.  Through this education, MSME actors are expected to better understand and utilize business legality for the development of their businesses.  This activity concluded with a seminar featuring speakers to deepen the understanding of business actors regarding legality and halal certification.

Business legality is a crucial element in the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Karangsari Village, as one of the MSME centers, is facing challenges in adopting Business Identification Numbers (NIB) and implementing digital marketing. This research aims to identify the impact of implementing NIB on MSMEs in Karangsari Village and explore the obstacles and opportunities in its implementation. The methods used are case studies and field surveys. The research results show that although NIB can improve legality and market access, low digital literacy is a major obstacle. It is hoped that the socialization and training carried out in Karangsari Village can increase understanding and adoption of NIB and digital marketing by MSMEs, so as to strengthen their competitiveness in the market.

This article discusses the importance of business legality, especially in obtaining Business Identification Numbers (NIB) and Halal Certificates for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Gentong Village, Pasuruan. Gentong District has many MSMEs that play an important role in the local economy, but face challenges in understanding and managing business legality, which results in limited access to wider markets. This article highlights the mentoring program carried out using the Service Learning method, which involves direct interaction between academics, students and MSME actors. This program aims to increase the understanding and skills of MSME players in managing NIB and Halal Certificates, as well as overcoming bureaucratic obstacles which often become obstacles in managing business legality. Through this approach, MSME players are expected to be able to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of their businesses. This article also examines relevant theories, such as Legitimacy Theory, Social Capital Theory, and Market Access Theory, which support the importance of business legality in building reputation, expanding markets, and reducing legal risks. The results of this mentoring program show that with adequate business legality, MSMEs in Gentong Village are able to expand business networks, increase credibility, and access larger market opportunities, both at the local and international levels. Thus, business legality is not only an administrative fulfillment, but also an important business strategy for the growth and sustainability of MSME businesses amidst increasingly tight market competition.

The objective of this community service activity is to enhance the knowledge of residents in Menur Pumpungan Village, Surabaya, regarding business financing, financial management, and business legality. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMES) play a crucial role in the national economy. However, challenges faced by MSMEs, such as limited capital, low financial literacy, and legal issues, often hinder business growth and sustainability. Many MSMES do not yet have a Business Identification Number (NIB) for their operations, and some are even unaware of what an NIB is and its benefits. The methods used include socialization, training, and mentoring. The results of this activity show that 81% of residents understand how to improve the management and legality of their businesses to enhance their market value. The community in Menur Pumpungan Village is able to conduct field surveys to assess conditions and gather data and information related to business issues after consulting with the socialization team. The socialization and mentoring team provided appropriate solutions to partners. However, during the evaluation, 19% of residents/business owners still do not understand the KUR program, and some believe that access to KUR is difficult due to its complex procedures.

The existence of micro businesses for a country is important and is an indicator for assessing societal civilization. In reality, the current conditions in society are that there are still many micro business actors who do not know and have not registered a business permit, one of which is the residents of Kilasah Village, Kasemen District, Serang City. This can happen because of the lack of literacy regarding business legality and the benefits of NIB. So under these conditions, tum PkM provides assistance in making NIBs to MSMEs in Kilasah Village as a solution to the problem of not developing their businesses. The implementation of PkM goes through four stages, namely the observation stage of partner problems, the preparation stage, the implementation stage which contains providing education and motivation for registering business legality, as well as filling out the NIB form directly to the MUI. The result of this activity is that through the mentoring program for making NIB business legality, MSME actors in Kilasah Village understand NIB and understand the benefits of legality of their business. Through the mentoring program for making NIB business legality, MSME actors in Kilasah Village understand and can practice the steps and flow, as well as procedures for making NIB. The results obtained prove the success of the PkM team in helping assist MSMEs residents of Kilasah Village in creating Business Identification Numbers (NIB) that can develop their businesses with standardized products.

In carrying out MSMEs activities, it is important for business actors to carry out legality and product branding in the business they are running. In Karanganyar village, there are several MSMEs that have not yet carried out legality and product branding, so the solution provided is to provide counseling and assistance to carry out legality and product branding. The purpose of legality and product branding in MSMEs is to provide a strong foundation for the sustainability of a legally protected business, increase trust and competitiveness in entrepreneurship, market access will be wider, and increase added value and loyalty. The result of the assistance activities in managing the legality and branding of MSMEs products in Karanganyar village is that MSMEs get a Business Identification Number (BIN), and receive assistance in making product photos and designing banners.

The focus of this activity is the UMKM Semen Tape Bu Suwarti, a tape producer in Semen Hamlet, Musir Kidul Village. This MSME assistance work program is carried out using several methods including surveys, observations, interviews and discussions, as well as mentoring. The stages in this activity begin with socialization regarding the importance of NIB ownership for business legality and assistance in making NIB. The existence of NIB can help to increase transparency in the business world by making it easier for the government to monitor and enforce laws related to business licensing and regulations. In this way, NIB not only simplifies the business process, but is also an important step in supporting the growth of MSMEs as a sector of the Indonesian economy.

The MSME assistance work program is carried out using several methods including surveys, observations, interviews and discussions, as well as mentoring. This assistance is carried out in two stages, namely assistance in creating a Business Identification Number which starts from the registration process to processing the NIB so that the legality of the business is recognized by the government. Next, the second stage is assistance with MSME branding through creating a visual identity which aims to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of this tape product on the market.

This research explores the vital role of business legality in supporting the growth and sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Through a combination of interview and direct observation approaches, we investigate the challenges faced by MSMEs in obtaining appropriate business legality and its impact on market access and financing. The findings indicate that a lack of understanding of the importance of business legality, complex licensing processes, and the need for specific requirements are major obstacles for MSMEs, especially those operating at the micro and small levels. Furthermore, we conclude that complete and legally valid business legality forms a solid foundation for the growth of MSMEs, enabling broader access to formal markets and financial resources. The approach of mentoring in obtaining the Business Identification Number (NIB) emerges as an effective solution in assisting MSMEs in overcoming challenges related to business legality. Comprehensive mentoring programs, ranging from education about the registration process to practical assistance in gathering required documents, provide much-needed support for MSMEs like Bu Siti in navigating complex registration processes. Evaluation and feedback, as well as effective information dissemination, also prove crucial in increasing MSMEs' awareness and understanding of licensing procedures and the benefits of having complete business legality. Thus, collaborative efforts from various parties can help create a more conducive environment for the growth of MSMEs in Indonesia.

The mentoring model used is the PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) approach, where service providers and the community are directly involved in optimizing all existing potential. This service activity uses two stages, namely: the process of repairing building floors and workshops to obtain a class B industrial CPKB permit. The results of the service carried out show progress in fulfilling the submission requirements documents such as the issuance of plan approval from BPOM RI and completeness of production documents for the CPKB permit such as raw material documents, product packaging documents and industrial waste management. Palangka Raya, as a city that has plant biodiversity, has the opportunity to make herbal cosmetics a regional superior product.

The importance of business licensing as a matter of legality is a manifestation of legally valid permits given by the government to business actors to carry out their business officially. The birth of the Job Creation Law gave birth to a business licensing system which previously contained the Online Single Submission system version 1.1 which was later developed into a risk-based approach/RBA or based on the level of risk of the business to be carried out. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of business licensing for Surakarta City MSMEs through the Online Single Submission Risk Bassed Approach. This research method is empirical juridical legal research and uses a qualitative approach. This research uses primary data and secondary data. The primary data obtained came from interviews conducted at the Surakarta City Investment and One Stop Integrated Services Service. Then supported by secondary data obtained from library materials. Due to the convenience of the OSS-RBA system, system errors often occur or the server goes down, thus hampering the goal of facilitating business licensing, becoming a barrier for business actors to issue their business permits quickly. These obstacles make it difficult for business actors to log in or register on the OSS page, which means that the NIB is not immediately published. And many business people are still confused about the process flow for using OSS-RBA and are still blind to internet technology. However, despite these obstacles, the Surakarta City DPMPTSP has made various efforts to improve the quality of business licensing services in the City of Surakarta.

The Community Service Program (KKN) of Raja Ali Haji Maritime University in Toapaya Village has a work program that aims to encourage the advancement of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by facilitating the creation of Business Identification Numbers (NIB). This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to understand the process, challenges, and impact of business legality on MSME actors. The results of the activity show that NIB ownership provides significant benefits, including increasing business legality and credibility, expanding access to capital, and opening opportunities to participate in various government programs. The assistance process was carried out through socialization, data collection, technical assistance, and NIB distribution. Despite facing obstacles such as limited digital literacy, internet access, and resistance to change, the collaboration between KKN students, the village government, and related agencies succeeded in helping MSME actors obtain NIBs effectively. With business legality, MSMEs in Toapaya Village were able to increase their competitiveness, expand their marketing networks, and strengthen their role in village economic development. This program proves that MSME empowerment based on business legality can be an important foundation for village independence and sustainable economic growth.

Business legality is a sign or indication that a business entity has been legally recognized by the State. So business legality is very important for business actors. However, based on data collection on MSMEs in Jember Regency, of the 155 MSMEs in the data, only 50 MSMEs have business legality. From interviews with business actors, information was obtained that the reason they did not have business legality was because they lacked knowledge about the procedures for obtaining business legality and the process which was considered quite difficult. Therefore, this socialization conveyed the importance of having business legality for MSME players.

Empowering MSMEs is crucial for boosting the national economy in the contemporary industrial revolution age. The methods for fostering invention and creativity among housewives in RW 02, Rungkut Kidul Village, are covered in this study. Housewives contribute to the family's financial stability. Women labor to obtain economic stability in the face of uncertain economic situations. And MSME performers make up the bulk of the female cast. By incorporating digital marketing into their product offerings, MSME actors based in RW 02 Rungkut Kidul are attempting to raise the caliber of their output. This research aims to analyze the importance of the Business Identification Number (NIB) as the basis for the legality of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Padelengan Village, Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods and a case study approach. Research data was collected through in-depth interviews with MSME owners in Padelengan Village, as well as through documentation studies related to regulations and policies regarding the provision of NIB to MSMEs. The research results show that NIB has a very important role in providing legality and legal protection for MSMEs in Padelengan Village. By having an NIB, MSMEs can gain easier access to various facilities and assistance from the government, and can run their business more safely and securely. However, this research also found several obstacles in providing NIB to MSMEs in Padelengan Village, including a lack of understanding and awareness of MSME owners about the importance of having an NIB, as well as a lack of access and information regarding NIB processing procedures. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended that the village government and related agencies carry out outreach and assistance to MSME owners to increase understanding and awareness of the importance of having an NIB. Apart from that, it is also necessary to improve access and information related to NIB processing procedures so that the process can run more effectively and efficiently. It is hoped that this research can contribute to improving legality and legal protection for MSMEs in Padelengan Village, as well as being a reference for further research related to the role of NIB in supporting the development of MSMEs in rural areas.

This research is motivated by the lack of knowledge and ability of MSME actors to carry out product branding, especially in the Kepatihan Kulon sub-district. One of these problems is that the majority of MSMEs have not found a brand to attract customers and packaging that still does not attract buyers and there is limited information regarding product branding. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to carry out research and assistance. The aim of this research is to provide assistance and introduction to creating NIB accounts and checking business names and logos as well as assistance and creating the latest logos for selected MSMEs. The method in this research uses the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method to make it easier for researchers to define problems and provide action as a solution to the problems that have been defined. The results of this research explain that so far MSMEs in the Kepatihan Kulon sub-district have only prioritized taste without paying attention to branding and packaging, so the hopes of this assistance for MSMEs can be higher than before. Apart from that, creating an NIB account is expected to make MSMEs more concerned about the legality of their business.

This community service is located in Mulyoagung Village, Dau District, Malang Regency. The problem faced by partners is the lack of a guarantee of business legality. The next problem is product packaging and labels that are less attractive and do not meet standards, which make it difficult to market products. Solutions that can be proposed with training and assistance to obtain a business license or business legality certificate are in the form of business identification numbers (NIB), home industry food production certificates (SPP-IRT), labels and brands, and product halal guarantees. There is training and assistance in making product packaging and labels, considering that packaging is a very important factor for maintaining quality and attracting customers to buy products when they are marketed. In addition, training and assistance for entrepreneurs in using information technology to market products to a wider market online and offline.
