The Entangled game is designed as an interactive medium to convey the problem of ghost nets to the 19–25 age group through a visual novel format that relies on narrative and visuals as a means of communication. This medium is presented to highlight the problem of ghost nets which are a serious threat to marine ecosystems because they destroy habitats, endanger marine biota, and impact the social and economic aspects of coastal communities, but are still poorly understood by the younger generation due to the limited availability of engaging and communicative educational media. In designing this game, character design plays a key supporting element that helps convey conservation messages emotionally and narratively through character representation, dialogue, and relationships between characters in the storyline. The method used is a mixed method with data collection through interviews, literature studies, and questionnaires, which are then developed using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) approach to ensure the game design process runs systematically.

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are no longer viewed solely as religious educational institutions but also as socio-economic entities that play a strategic role in community empowerment and the development of the Islamic economy. The emergence of various pesantren business units, including Islamic cooperatives, Islamic microfinance institutions, agribusinesses, and service enterprises, reflects the transformation of pesantren into productive and economically independent institutions. However, many pesantren continue to face challenges in achieving economic sustainability, including weak governance systems, limited managerial professionalism, inadequate human resources, and excessive dependence on charismatic leadership. This study aims to develop a conceptual model of pesantren business governance based on Islamic governance principles to achieve institutional economic sustainability. Using a qualitative approach and library research method, this study analyzes relevant literature on pesantren economics, Islamic governance, sustainability, and risk management. The findings indicate that sustainable pesantren economic development requires the integration of Islamic governance values, namely amanah (trustworthiness), transparency, justice, and maslahah (public benefit), with modern management systems and comprehensive risk management practices. The study proposes a conceptual governance framework linking pesantren resources, sharia governance, professional management, and risk mitigation as key determinants of economic independence and institutional sustainability. This framework is expected to provide strategic guidance for strengthening pesantren-based economic development in a sustainable and socially beneficial manner.

This study examines Income Tax provisions under the latest tax regulations in Indonesia, explains the procedures and mechanisms for calculating Income Tax based on the Law on Harmonization of Tax Regulations (HPP Law), and evaluates the contribution of Income Tax to state revenue and equitable income distribution. This research applies library research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data were collected from relevant sources, including laws and regulations, academic books, scientific articles, research journals, and official government publications related to Income Tax policy in Indonesia. The data were analyzed systematically to identify regulatory developments, tax calculation mechanisms, and the implications of tax policy for national state revenue and fiscal justice. The findings show that the HPP Law establishes five progressive tariff layers for Individual Taxpayers, with a maximum rate of 35% imposed on taxable income exceeding IDR 5 billion per year. This provision reflects the principles of ability to pay and vertical equity in Indonesia’s tax system. Furthermore, the Corporate Income Tax rate of 22%, along with various rate-reduction incentives for eligible taxpayers, can enhance business competitiveness and reduce tax burdens. Tax administration modernization through e-Filing, e-Billing, e-Bupot, and Coretax also improves service efficiency and strengthens taxpayer compliance more effectively.

The development of digital media has transformed YouTube into one of the most influential platforms for Islamic preaching, shaping public understanding of religious issues, including religious tolerance. This study aims to analyze the representation of religious tolerance, the patterns of tolerance message delivery, and the tendency of interpreting religious tolerance in Felix Siauw’s YouTube content. The research employs a qualitative approach using content analysis of videos discussing interfaith relations and social diversity. The findings reveal that religious tolerance in Felix Siauw’s content is represented as respect for the rights of followers of other religions in social life without compromising the boundaries of Islamic creed (aqidah). Messages of tolerance are conveyed through persuasive narratives supported by Qur’anic verses, Hadith, and scholars’ perspectives, emphasizing the importance of maintaining Islamic identity within a pluralistic society. The study also indicates that the interpretation of tolerance promoted in the content tends to emphasize social tolerance rather than theological tolerance, namely respecting diversity and fostering peaceful coexistence without equating religious beliefs. Therefore, digital Islamic preaching functions not only as a medium for disseminating religious teachings but also as a platform for shaping public understanding of religious tolerance.

The Rumah Padat Karya Program in Surabaya City is one of the local government policies to reduce poverty through job creation and empowerment of low-income communities (MBR). This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Rumah Padat Karya Program in reducing poverty rates in Surabaya and to assess its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). The study employs a formal evaluation approach with a formative evaluation type, given that the program is still ongoing. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed qualitatively. The evaluation was conducted using William N. Dunn’s (2003) criteria, comprising effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and appropriateness. The results indicate that the program is fairly effective in reducing poverty and unemployment through local workforce absorption and the productive utilization of previously idle government assets. However, limitations remain, including budget constraints, inter-district facility disparities, weak inter-agency coordination, and suboptimal business mentoring and market access. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the mentoring system, equalize facilities, and enhance cross-sector collaboration so that the program can run more optimally and sustainably.

Exports as a component of international trade contribute significantly to the development and growth of a country’s economy. In Indonesia, export activities are considered one of the key drivers in increasing national economic performance. This research seeks to evaluate the role of Indonesia’s exports to the United States within the Harmonized System (HS) Code 71 commodity classification, encompassing pearls, gemstones, precious metals, and jewelry products, in influencing Indonesia’s economic growth as reflected by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at constant prices. The analysis focuses on three specific commodity groups: Pearls and Precious Stones (HS 71.01–71.05), Precious Metals and Metals Clad with Precious Metals (HS 71.06–71.12), and Jewelry and Related Articles (HS 71.13–71.18). A descriptive quantitative research design was employed, utilizing secondary time-series data collected for the 2015–2024 period. Data sources included the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and Trade Map. To assess the relationship between variables, this study adopted multiple linear regression analysis accompanied by classical assumption testing and hypothesis testing using both t-test and F-test procedures. The empirical findings demonstrate that export performance within the HS Code 71 category underwent considerable fluctuations throughout the observation period, reaching its peak in 2024.Furthermore, the statistical results indicate that each commodity sub-category contributes differently and exerts varying effects on Indonesia’s real GDP, both individually and collectively. The outcomes of this research are expected to provide useful references for government institutions in developing trade cooperation strategies and policy decisions, while also supporting business actors in strengthening the international competitiveness of Indonesian products.

The achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia continues to face various challenges, particularly those related to poverty, social inequality, and increasing environmental degradation caused by climate change. These conditions highlight the need for an instrument capable of integrating social welfare objectives with environmental sustainability. This article aims to analyze the role of green zakat as an Islamic social finance instrument in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a library research method through the collection and analysis of various sources, including academic journals, books, official reports, and other relevant documents related to zakat, Islamic social finance, green economy, and sustainable development. The findings indicate that green zakat has significant potential to support the achievement of the SDGs through environmentally based economic empowerment programs, such as sustainable agriculture, reforestation, waste management, and the development of eco-friendly businesses for vulnerable communities. In addition to contributing to poverty alleviation, green zakat can support climate change mitigation efforts and environmental conservation in line with the principles of maqashid sharia. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including limited public literacy, inadequate regulatory support, and suboptimal governance of environmental-based programs. Therefore, stronger collaboration among government institutions, zakat management organizations, and society is needed to develop a more effective green zakat model. Future studies are recommended to conduct empirical research to measure the impact of green zakat implementation on specific and measurable SDG indicators.

This study aims to analyze the influence of fundamental and technical factors on stock price movements in the Indonesian capital market. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing secondary data obtained from various scientific literature sources as well as stock price data from the Investing platform. The results indicate that there are significant variations in stock prices among companies, reflecting differences in fundamental performance such as profitability, capital structure, and company prospects. In addition, from a technical perspective, stock price movements exhibit dynamic fluctuations, including both increases and decreases, influenced by market sentiment and investor responses to available information. The varying levels of stock volatility also indicate differences in investment risk. Trading volume plays an important role as a key indicator in technical analysis, where high volume reflects strong liquidity and investor interest, while low volume indicates limited market activity. Overall, the findings suggest that fundamental and technical factors have a complementary influence in determining stock price movements. Therefore, investors are advised to integrate both approaches in making investment decisions in order to achieve optimal returns while minimizing risk. This study is expected to contribute to the development of capital market research and serve as a reference for investors and academics.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Land and Building Tax (Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan or PBB) collection and its significant impact on local revenue generation. Land and building tax is a crucial component of local government revenue in Indonesia, especially following the implementation of regional autonomy and fiscal decentralization policies. Despite its critical role in funding local infrastructure and public services, the realization of PBB often falls short of its potential targets. This research utilizes a qualitative descriptive approach, employing secondary data collected from local revenue agencies and extensive literature reviews of previous academic publications. The objectives are to evaluate the effectiveness of current collection mechanisms, identify the primary obstacles hindering taxpayer compliance, and assess the overall contribution of PBB to regional financial independence. The findings reveal that while the administrative framework for PBB collection is generally well-established, practical implementation faces numerous challenges, including outdated land value assessments, low taxpayer awareness, suboptimal database management, and limited human resources within the tax apparatus. Furthermore, the study indicates that targeted digitalization of tax services and proactive public socialization campaigns can significantly enhance compliance rates. Practically, the results provide valuable recommendations for local policymakers to reform their tax collection strategies, optimize revenue streams, and ensure sustainable regional development.
