The development of tourism villages is an effective strategy to improve community welfare and support the realization of sustainable development at the local level. This study aims to analyze strategies for developing a tourism village through the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN), with a particular focus on creating a healthy, clean, and educational village in Ambarawa, Pringsewu Regency. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with village officials, community leaders, and local entrepreneurs, as well as documentation of program activities. The findings reveal that the implementation of the KKN program involved three main strategies. First, environmental hygiene and health education were carried out through socialization, mentoring, and community-based clean-up initiatives. Second, digital-based tourism promotion was developed using social media and online platforms, which increased destination visibility and enhanced tourist appeal. Third, local economic empowerment was strengthened by providing training and mentoring for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), along with the introduction of non-cash transactions using QRIS to facilitate modern and efficient payments. These efforts successfully fostered community participation, raised environmental awareness, and stimulated innovative approaches to tourism promotion. Nevertheless, several challenges were identified, such as limited program duration, low levels of digital literacy among some residents, and the absence of comprehensive regulations governing tourism management. Recommendations include establishing a formal tourism management institution (Pokdarwis), enhancing capacity through digital literacy training, and fostering sustainable collaboration among government, academia, and the community to ensure that tourism village development can progress consistently, innovatively, and sustainably.

The digital era has significantly influenced the economic system, and one of the innovations arising is the development of smart ponds based on IoT technology. In Ujungwatu Village, the development of Tambak Bandeng Kalingga has become an innovative solution to optimize local potential, while also introducing advanced technology that is not widely known by the local community. The main goal of this development is to introduce the concept of IoT technology in pond management, which can enhance efficiency and the competitiveness of the bandeng pond products. The method used in this Community Service (PkM) project is branding and socialization, with a focus on introducing IoT technology and its benefits to the local community. This socialization and branding activity aims to enable the community to learn and apply IoT technology in their activities, particularly in pond management. The results of this PkM activity show that the use of the Tambak Bandeng Kalingga sector is growing, with Ujungwatu Village now recognized as a village that manages ponds based on IoT. In the month following the branding, 40 visitors were recorded, and the reels video created was watched 1,620 times, which is a positive outcome. Visitors who came were also able to understand how the IoT technology system works at Tambak Bandeng Kalingga, further supporting the sustainability and advancement of the village in managing modern, technology-based ponds.

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan membantu masyarakat merancang masterplan kawasan wisata melalui pendekatan co-design, sehingga masyarakat terlibat aktif sejak perencanaan hingga penyusunan rancangan akhir.

Tourism plays a crucial role in regional development, not only in terms of the economy but also in enhancing the social and cultural quality of the community. Mojokerto Regency, particularly Pacet District, has significant natural tourism potential, one of which is Camping Outdoor Dolanan (COD) Tegal Klopo. This study aims to examine the role of the Village Government in community development through the utilization of this tourism potential. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants in this study include the village head, BUMDes managers, tourism site managers, and local residents. The results of the study show that the Village Government plays a strategic role in designing and implementing tourism development programs in the village. The Village Government not only plays a role in building synergy between BUMDes and the community but also actively plans promotional strategies that can attract tourists to visit COD Tegal Klopo. Additionally, the Village Government also plays a role in raising community awareness about the importance of maintaining the sustainability of the environment and local culture so that this tourism can provide long-term benefits for the village. However, this tourism development faces several challenges, such as limited facilities and a lack of trained human resources to professionally manage the tourism destination. Despite these challenges, the development of COD Tegal Klopo tourism has shown positive impacts on the local economy, with an increase in income from the tourism sector. Moreover, this tourism also helps preserve local culture and encourages active community participation in the village development process. With continued support from the Village Government, it is expected that this tourism development will continue to grow, provide greater economic benefits, and preserve local culture and the environment for a better future.

This study aims to analyze sustainable tourism development strategies in Simamora Tourism Village, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This village has significant potential in the natural and cultural tourism sector, such as Sisingamangaraja Palace, Aek Silang whitewater rafting, and Batu Nganga. However, the management of this potential has not been optimally implemented. Several challenges remain, such as low community participation, limited infrastructure, and residents' limited understanding of the concept of sustainable tourism. This study used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and field observations. Informants in the study included village officials, local communities, and managers of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). The data obtained were analyzed using the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) approach to identify strengths, opportunities, aspirations, and expected outcomes in sustainable tourism development. The results show that although the tourism potential in Simamora Village is quite high, the lack of coordination between stakeholders and the absence of an integrated development strategy are the main obstacles. Therefore, this study recommends several strategic steps, including improving the quality of human resources in the tourism sector, strengthening supporting infrastructure, and developing tourism products based on local wisdom that can foster active community involvement. Community participation in every stage of planning and management is crucial for achieving sustainable and competitive tourism. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference in formulating policies for sustainable village tourism development.

Waste management is a major challenge in sustainable development, particularly in areas with tourism potential. Paya Jeget Village, Pegasing District, Central Aceh Regency, a developing tourist destination, is addressing waste management issues that require serious attention. The increasing number of tourists visiting the village has the potential to significantly increase the volume of waste generated. Without proper management, this condition can threaten environmental sustainability and public health. Therefore, a community-based waste management approach is needed that involves the active participation of all stakeholders, from village government, community leaders, tourism operators, and the general public. The objectives of this community service activity are to increase public knowledge and awareness about sustainable waste management, develop an integrated community-based waste management system, and establish independent community waste management groups to realize a clean and healthy tourist destination. This research is motivated by the importance of implementing sustainable tourism management principles in the management of Citumang Nature Tourism, Bojong Village, Parigi District, Pangandaran Regency. This management not only emphasizes the utilization of economic value, but must also pay attention to the preservation of the natural environment, socio-cultural values and aspects, and the active involvement of the local community. This aims to ensure that the benefits of Citumang's existence can be felt by all levels of society. The purpose of this study is to determine the form and effectiveness of collaboration between the village government, stakeholders, and the community in managing this nature tourism. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through literature studies and field studies. Data analysis is carried out in three stages, namely data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. The results of the study indicate that the collaboration between the village government, stakeholders, and the community still faces several obstacles. Problems identified include the lack of official licenses or professional guide certificates for tour guides, an unclear organizational structure resulting in weak coordination between the village government and tour guide groups, limited proactive leadership, which reduces community motivation and participation in tourism development, low community involvement in the planning and implementation of tourism activities, and a lack of effective promotion to attract visitors. These conditions have resulted in the suboptimal development of Citumang's tourism potential as a leading regional destination. This study recommends the establishment of a clear organizational structure, increased human resource capacity through guide training and certification, strengthening the role of visionary and inclusive leadership, increasing community participation in all stages of tourism management, and implementing creative and targeted promotional strategies. This will enable Citumang's nature tourism management to be more effective, sustainable, and provide optimal benefits for all stakeholders.

This study identifies the role of shamans in local wisdom-based wellness tourism in Belumbang Tourism Village, Kerambitan Sub-district, Tabanan Regency. Shamans as traditional spiritual figures play an important role in wellness practices that combine physical healing, spiritual rituals and local ecological understanding. Using observation and interview methods, this research was analyzed based on the six dimensions of wellness in the Extended Wellness Model (Mueller & Kaufmann, 2001), and supported by data from the Global Wellness Institute (Yeung & Johnston, 2018) and the authors' perceptions of shamans. The results show that shaman practices support all dimensions of wellness, especially the spiritual, physical and environmental aspects. Travelers gain benefits such as traditional massages, herbal concoctions, and inner peace through rituals that touch on emotional and mental aspects. Shamans also play a role in educating tourists about the harmony of humans and nature through the responsible use of resources. Thus, shamans not only function as healers, but also as guardians of local culture and tourist attractions that strengthen village identity and support sustainable health and culture-based tourism.
