Code switching and code mixing are various variations of language by a person or certain community groups, for example in schools, offices, housing and traditional markets. Traditional markets themselves can be said to be centers of interaction and transactions that allow speakers and speech partners to come from various regions with different backgrounds, statuses and mastery of languages. Differences in social backgrounds in speech communities in traditional market environments result in greater opportunities for the emergence of code-switching and code-mixing phenomena, and are interesting to study in more depth in terms of form, type and factors that influence the emergence of these phenomena. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative to examine data by explaining or describing the data contained in the remarks. The phenomenon of code mixing is the use of two or more languages in a speech. Code mixing can occur if a language speaker, when using Indonesian, then inserts regional language elements into Indonesian speech. In other words, someone who speaks using the main Indonesian language code has an autonomous function, while the regional language codes involved in the main code are just fragments without function or autonomy as a code. Meanwhile, the Code Switching Phenomenon is a speech event with a change in language use. or dialect.

One of the reasons for the cancellation of the agreement is the occurrence of a mixture of debts. Debt mixing is a mix of positions (quality) of the parties entering into an agreement so that the quality as a creditor becomes one with the quality of the debtor so that the agreement between the two parties is null and void. Mixing of debts is regulated in Article 1436 of the Civil Code to Article 1437 of the Civil Code. Debt mixing can occur because the positions of creditors and debtors become one. For example, a creditor marries a debtor, which results in a mix of debts and the agreement that previously existed is erased. Problems can arise when it relates to debts owned by creditors and debtors who eventually marry. If the creditor does not want the debt owned by the debtor to be erased even though they are both married. Even though there are clear rules emphasized that debts can be written off by law, one of which is if there is a mix-up of debts.

This research aims to investigate whether code-mixing poses a threat to the Indonesian language as the national identity and the efforts that can be done as a prevention of identity crisis. It is because society is beginning to forget its national language. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research data were obtained from the general public who mix languages in their daily communication. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to respondents through Google Forms. The data obtained will then go through several stages, including data tabulation, description, and analysis. From the results obtained from this study, approximately 68.3% of the respondents mix their local and foreign languages with the Indonesian language. This frequent code-mixing can pose a threat to national identity, as people tend to forget their language and feel proud when using foreign languages. However, it was also found that code-mixing positively impacts social and cultural aspects, as it can be used to communicate more effectively and as a means of learning new languages. Code-mixing can become a threat if the speaker consciously prefers to use a foreign language in a conversation.
