This research is mainly intended to reveal the old southern pride reflected in the characteristics of Amanda, a southern lady. In conducting this research, the writer uses qualitative research, in which the data are collected in the form of words and the writer is the key instrument. The data were taken from the work itself and other relevant books supporting the data. In analyzing the data, the writer uses a mimetic approach, which considers that literary work is a reflection and imitation of aspects of the universe. The result of this research shows that in the southern part of America before the Civil War, there was a custom called "southern gentility." This is one of the aristocratic values that consists of the manner of speech, the way of wearing the clothes, and the manner of treating the caller: the way to welcome and praise the gentleman caller, his wealth, and his beauty. This southern gentility represents old southern pride or honor. These values are reflected in Amanda’s attitude as an old southerner. However, a change in period is followed by a change in values; the aristocratic values mentioned above are no longer all relevant to the new South's way of life because they faded away after the Civil War in 1861-1865. Amanda, as an old southerner, has always held these values; however, realizing that they are no longer applicable in the present, she attempts to adapt the new southern values. Yet, she is too late to adjust because her son, who possesses new southern values, refuses to accept her advice, so he runs away.

This research aims to determine the influence either together or partially between CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) to corporate image in PT. Hadji Kalla Cabang Sultan Alaudin, Makassar area, that being measured from CSR variables which is Profit, People, and Planet. Expectedly the information obtained from this research can be used by companies to increase CSR activities and quality of CSR programs so that more can enhance the company image in the future. This study uses quantitative methods with explanatory research type with primary and secondary data. Population in this study is the customer PT. Hadji Kalla Cabang Sultan Alauddin, in Makassar and from the population the researcher take 100 adult people as research sample. As for the data analysis technique the researcher uses linear multiple regression and partial with SPSS 17 software. The result of this study found that variables within CSR concept which is Profit (Xi), People (X2), Planet (X3) simultaneously have a significant influence to the corporate image (Y). People (X2) became the most dominant variables that influence the corporate image with regression coefficient values 0,342.

This study aims to analyze the optimality of a quadratic program model using the penalty function. The analysis is carried out in each case that has been made so that in each case optimal results are obtained. There are many methods that can be used to solve the quadratic program problem but in terms of the number of iterations, this research uses the penalty function and then implements it into the Matlab programming language. The results obtained in this study indicate that by using the penalty function as a parameter, the optimal value of a function can be obtained. The results of the analysis will also be more optimal by using the lagrange method depending on the parameter values obtained.

Based on initial observations made by researchers in Pematang Serai Village, some children had difficulty speaking because they were still used to the language used in the family environment, and it was difficult to listen to what other people were saying other than using their mother tongue. For example, some children still use their mother tongue or are carried away by the language used at home when they want to ask others for help, which is sometimes difficult to understand. Another problem faced by the people of Pematang Serai Village is moral degradation. Low levels of education and interest in reading are suspected to be the cause of the decline in the character values of the millennial generation. Data analysis was adjusted to the problem formulation questions to be investigated using a quantitative descriptive method that processes numerical data into words, then changes recorded data from interviews. This study aims to analyze the influence of online customer reviews and online customer ratings on purchasing decisions on the Lazada marketplace. In this study using a descriptive verification approach with quantitative methods. The sample used in this study was 400 respondents. Sampling using the Nonprobability Sampling method. The test stages used were validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis technique and hypothesis testing using t test, f test and coefficient of determination using SPSS 26 tools. The results of this study were obtained by Online Customer Reviews and Online Customers Ratings have a positive and significant partial effect on purchasing decisions on the Lazada marketplace with variable values of 20.8% and 91.0% respectively. While Online Customer Reviews and Online Customer Ratings simultaneously influence purchasing decisions on the Lazada marketplace, they contribute 39.2% to purchasing decisions, while the remaining 60.8% is contributed by other factors not examined that influence purchasing decisions (Y ).

Character education has been rolled out since 2010 and is still valid today. In character education there are several values, one of which is responsibility. The character of responsibility is very important so that the school becomes a self-development institution to achieve success. Depletion of awareness and even loss of the character of responsibility in students which hinders learning activities so that this should not happen (Kamila, 2013). This study focuses on definitions, benefits, and strategies in learning to improve the character of student responsibility in schools. The results of this study include: 1) character refers to a series of attitudes, behaviors, motivations, and skills, while the character of responsibility is the attitude and behavior of a person to carry out the duties and obligations that he should do to yourself, society, environment (natural, social, and cultural), the State and God Almighty; 2) the benefits of the character of responsibility are that it can improve the quality of learning in the classroom and can improve school quality standards; 3) the character of responsibility can be done with a mind mapping strategy, inquiring mind what to know, CRH, NHT, and Quiz Team. This study concludes that the character of responsibility and learning must be carried out as one of the character education in schools through several strategies.

The importance of the role of contemporary da’wah institutions in Indonesia is a challenge for the government. This research aims to describe the role and problems of contemporary da’wah empowerment institutions in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach which originates primarily from journals and books related to contemporary da’wah institutions in Indonesia. The results of this study found that the formation of da’wah institutions in Indonesia departed from individual awareness to carry out tabligh which developed into a collective awareness to carry out da’wah within a certain system within the da’wah institution. The concept of da’wah is not only synonymous with tabligh but covers all aspects of life and tabligh is only part of Islamic da’wah. An activity can be called da’wah if it includes a system of joint efforts of believers in the context of realizing Islamic teachings in terms of socio-cultural life. The role of da’wah institutions in Indonesia can act as a motivator because basically this approach strategy is basically an effort to raise public awareness so that they can develop the existing resources of the Indonesian people, the environment and the natural surroundings to get better results. This is where the socio-religious potential of preachers and da’wah institutions can carry out their role as Indonesian non-governmental organizations, especially through religious values ​​such as independence, justice, cooperation and so on.

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance leadership capacity and organizational management skills of the Islamic Student Association (HMI) Dumai Branch cadres through the strengthening of Islamic values ​​and the application of modern organizational management principles. The program was implemented during the Intermediate Training (Latihan Kader II/LK 2) using lectures, interactive discussions, and leadership simulations. A participatory approach was employed to actively engage participants throughout the program. The results indicate an improvement in participants' understanding of transformational leadership, collective–collegial leadership, and organizational planning and management skills. Furthermore, the program increased participants' awareness of the importance of integrating Islamic values ​​as an ethical foundation in student organizational leadership practices. This PKM contributes to the development of qualified HMI cadres as future leaders with integrity, adaptability, and strong commitment to community service.

Dasawisma groups have strategic potential in supporting family independence, but have not been optimally empowered. This Community Service activity aims to strengthen Dasawisma's capacity as agents of social change in enhancing family independence through the internalization of independence spirit values. The method used was a participatory and educational community organizing approach, implemented at Dasawisma Asoka RT.007, Bukit Timah Sub-district, Dumai City, on August 10, 2024. Activities included interactive material delivery, group discussions, work program preparation simulations, and reflective evaluations. The results showed increased understanding among Dasawisma members regarding their strategic roles, emergence of initiative and self-confidence, ability to formulate solutions based on local potential, and formation of more structured cooperation patterns and emergence of local mobilizer figures. The participatory approach based on independence values proved effective in driving Dasawisma's transformation from administrative implementers to subjects of independent and sustainable family and community development.

This study aims to examine how strategies strengthen student morale through school programs. In analyzing the problem, this research uses descriptive method with observation, interview and documentation techniques. Some of the findings obtained from research that the strategy of strengthening students' morale is implemented in several aspects; firstly on the school's vision and mission where the school compiles the school's vision-mission and goals which imply faith, piety and religious values ​​to strengthen student morale, second on activities both habituation activities within the school environment or activities outside the school environment related to religious activities to increase religious values, third on school facilities and infrastructure, fourth on school rules which are arranged based on the school's vision-mission and goals. The research results show that the strategy is quite successful in strengthening student morale. There are several findings that can hinder the success of applying student moral values, such as: the number of students that is not balanced with the number of classes, the lack of optimal use of facilities, the lack of commitment from school members, especially the lack of parental cooperation in efforts to strengthen student morale.

Education is defined as a form of mentoring and developing the potential of students who are directed and embedded in personality, then can be applied in everyday life. Character literally comes from the Latin character, which means, among other things: character, character, psychological traits, character, personality or morals. Someone who behaves dishonestly, is cruel, likes to steal, is said to be a person with bad character. Meanwhile, someone who likes to be honest, helpful, polite, can be said to be someone who has good character. So, the term character is more reflected in a person's personality. Religious values ​​are very important values ​​in education, especially for strengthening the character of early childhood. This study aims to describe the importance of religious values ​​in the formation of children's character, its implementation and influence in everyday life, through religious habits such as praying in congregation, and as etiquette with peers, teachers, as well as parents. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach obtained from interviews with teachers and madrasa heads, The research results obtained are the importance of instilling religious values ​​in early childhood, related to the religious culture that is applied is the habit of praying Dhuha in congregation, morning Quran, following the commemoration of Islamic holidays. Whereas regarding Islamic character education through religious habituation is to apply religious habituation which is carried out every day as a process of forming children's character to behave noble, obedient to worship, honest, tolerant, care for the environment, responsible and become the foundation of faith for children, good character will emerge if religious values ​​are getting stronger and more instilled in the child's environment, both in the family environment and the school environment.

The objective of this research is to analyze the improvement in quality values between classes that use the Cooperative Learning Method tipe TGT (Team Games Tournament) with the DirectInstruction class at Jakarta 51 High School grade XI MIPA conduct research from april until may 2019. This research method used the quantitative research methods type of quasi experimental thatfocus on the mastery of Elasticity concept in science in seeing the influence of cooperative learning models using the TGT type. The results of the study are described using a purposive sampling that compares the differences in 2 (two) classes, namely the experimental class through the Team Games Tournament learning model and the control class through the Direct Learning model in students and then measures the mastery level of Elasticity concept.

This study aims to analyze various types of learning media in shaping the character of children in RA Normal Islam Rakha. This study used a qualitative method by taking the research location at RA Normal Islam Rakha. This type of research is descriptive research. Data collection was carried out using observation, documentation and interview methods. The results of the study show that teachers have a big role in children's character education. As role models as well as mentors in building children's character, teachers provide references or tools that can foster curiosity and not get bored in learning. The concept of playing while learning that children like is very effective when using a variety of learning media. The results of the research findings at RA Normal Islam Rakha carried out the formation of children's character through various learning media through educational toys and teaching aids.

The large number of young people's interest in entrepreneurship needs to get support and facilities, one of which is through entrepreneurship education.
