This study examines legal protection for child victims of sexual crimes from a criminal law perspective. Using a normative approach and literature review, this study aims to determine the legal protection for child victims of sexual violence, factors that influence the occurrence of sexual violence against children, and efforts to prevent sexual violence against children. The results of this study indicate that Indonesia has a responsibility to protect child victims of crime. Law Number 23 of 2002 in conjunction with Law Number 35 of 2024 in conjunction with Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection provides a basis for protection that includes children's rights, protection from violent crimes and discrimination, and fulfillment of their dignity and honor. Special protection is given to child victims of sexual violence through rehabilitation, protection of victim identity, guarantee of safety for victim witnesses, and accessibility to case developments. Criminal sanctions for perpetrators of sexual violence against children are regulated in the Law and the Criminal Code. In handling cases of sexual violence, the role of forensic medicine is crucial in terms of collecting the necessary evidence. The principle of diversion is also applied in handling cases of sexual violence involving minors. Serious coordination between the police, prosecutors, and judges is needed to eradicate sexual violence against children. In closing, this study presents a general overview of legal protection for child victims of sexual crimes from a criminal law perspective. Efforts continue to be made to strengthen the protection and prevention of these crimes through coordination between institutions and effective law enforcement.

Law enforcement against theft cases not only reviews the position of the perpetrator but also the victim, because the victim has the right to receive protection both materially and immaterially; it is important for law enforcement officers to help victims obtain legal certainty and justice. The purpose of the author's research is to determine the obstacles experienced by victims of motorcycle theft in an effort to obtain their rights as victims and effective strategic efforts to ensure that the rights of victims of motorcycle theft can be fulfilled. Research iThis uses qualitative methods and empirical normative juridical methods. The author conducted interviews as primary data in this article, followed by secondary data in the form of literature from the law (primary source material), books (secondary source material), and scientific journals (tertiary source material). The data obtained shows that there are still quite a lot of obstacles experienced by victims in seeking their rights as victims of motorcycle theft. Victims experience bureaucratic difficulties where the process is complicated; victims also find unprofessional service from law enforcement officers; and victims do not get further information regarding the investigation or get SP2HP. However, there are also effective strategic steps to fulfill the rights of victims of motorcycle theft, namely by increasing access to the legal process through online complaint services and increasing professionalism and responsiveness from law enforcement officers through routine training on handling victims. It can also be done regarding the recovery of victim losses by providing compensation mechanisms and strengthening supervision and prevention by collaborating between the community and the police in the form of environmental security. This shows that there is still a lack of concern from law enforcement officers themselves for victims of motorcycle theft and there is still much that needs to be developed further by the government to improve the welfare of victims of motorcycle theft and government efforts to protect the community from criminal acts of theft.

Child marriage remains a serious issue in many regions of Indonesia, including Sampang Regency, Madura. Despite the implementation of laws that set the minimum legal age for marriage, early marriages are still widespread and bring various negative impacts, including educational dropout, reproductive health risks, and socio-economic problems. This study aims to analyze the impact of child marriage using the Street-Level Bureaucracy approach developed by Michael Lipsky (2010). This approach focuses on how front-line policy implementers-such as officials from the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), Religious Court judges, social service officers, and community leaders-interpret and enforce child marriage prevention policies at the local level. This research employs a qualitative method with data collected through in-depth interviews with policy implementers and affected community members. The findings indicate that policy implementation is heavily influenced by the discretion of street-level bureaucrats and is shaped by local cultural values and social pressures. Variations in how policies are applied lead to inconsistent outcomes in child marriage prevention. The study also highlights that child marriage often results in school dropout, emotional and financial unpreparedness, and reproductive health risks.

This study discusses law enforcement against corruption crimes that occur in the process of providing People's Business Credit (KUR) facilities at the BRI Bone Pantai Unit as well as the form of criminal responsibility from the management of the banks involved. Through a normative-empirical approach, this study illustrates the weak internal supervision system of banks and the inefficiency of coordination between law enforcement that causes state losses of billions of rupiah. The findings show that the modus operandi in the form of data engineering and abuse of authority is carried out by bank employees in collaboration with external parties. The law enforcement carried out has not touched the structural roots of the weaknesses of the banking system and business ethics in the distribution of KUR. In the context of Lawrence M. Friedman's theory of legal systems, aspects of the structure, substance, and culture of the law show a failure to guarantee accountability and prevention. Therefore, the reconstruction of law enforcement needs to involve systemic improvements, the strengthening of management's criminal responsibility, and the strengthening of the capacity of the bank's internal supervisory institutions so that public trust in the KUR program can be restored.

This study aims to examine the role of biomechanics in preventing injuries in karate athletes through a systematic review. The research method follows the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) framework with a literature search in the Science Direct database, Google Scholar, and the use of tools such as VOSviewer and Publish or Perish. Studies that met the inclusion criteria (10 articles) were analyzed to identify injury patterns, biomechanical factors, and prevention strategies. The results showed that the most common injuries in karate athletes were contusions, calf muscle strains, and finger sprains, which were related to force distribution, extreme joint angles, and postural control. Biomechanical analysis (motion capture, EMG, force plate) proved that technique correction, proprioception training, stabilizing muscle strengthening, and balance training could reduce the risk of injury by up to 20%. Significant differences were found between novice and elite athletes in terms of movement consistency and neuromuscular control. The integration of biomechanical principles with karate philosophy (mushin, zanshin, kime) was also emphasized to maintain a balance between performance and cultural values. Limitations of the study include heterogeneity of measurement instruments and potential publication bias. Future recommendations include longitudinal studies, development of portable devices (IMUs), and personalization of training programs based on individual biomechanical profiles

Electronic money laundering has become a critical issue as a form of cybercrime. Advances in technology demonstrate that digital forensic applications, particularly those utilizing smartphones, can be employed to uncover digital traces of money laundering transactions. This study aims to analyze the relevance of existing legal frameworks, the effectiveness of smartphone forensic techniques, and the challenges faced in their implementation in Indonesia. Based on a review of the literature and regulatory analysis, it was found that legal frameworks such as UU No. 8 of 2010 on the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering (TPPU) and UU No. 19 of 2016 on Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE) provide an adequate legal foundation. However, gaps in implementation, such as limited human and technological resources, remain significant obstacles. Forensic techniques, including metadata analysis and device extraction, have shown great potential in identifying the flow of illicit funds. Nonetheless, their application is hindered by data confidentiality and the lack of uniform technical standards. Given the increasing complexity of digital crimes, an integrated approach is required, combining regulatory strengthening with technological capacity building, to enhance the effectiveness of smartphone forensics in addressing electronic money laundering.

Domestic Violence (DV) is a serious human rights violation, particularly affecting women as a vulnerable group. Gorontalo City has seen a significant rise in DV cases, reflecting weak prevention efforts and law enforcement. Although Law No. 23/2004 regulates the elimination of DV, its local implementation faces structural, cultural, and resource-related challenges. This study analyzes the effectiveness of DV law enforcement in Gorontalo and identifies key obstacles. Using an empirical juridical method with a qualitative approach, data were collected through field research, interviews with law enforcers, and document analysis. The findings reveal that despite procedural efforts, barriers such as low public legal awareness, partiality among officials, limited victim protection facilities, and patriarchal norms hinder effective enforcement. Law enforcement remains ineffective due to weak institutional synergy and victims’ reluctance to seek justice. The study recommends specialized training for law enforcers, strengthening integrated victim services, and intensive legal outreach to build a more responsive environment to DV issues.

Triglycerides are an important metabolic indicator associated with the risk of metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease. Hypertriglyceridemia often develops without symptoms but contributes to the accumulation of atherogenic lipids. This activity involved 104 adult participants who underwent triglyceride level examination using Point-of-Care Testing (POCT). Education was delivered individually using a leaflet containing information on the relationship between high-calorie food intake and increased triglyceride levels, as well as recommendations for replacing energy-dense foods with healthy foods. A total of 47.1% of participants showed triglyceride levels ≥150 mg/dL, while the other 52.9% had normal levels. The average triglyceride level of 159.1 mg/dL reflects the hidden metabolic risk in the population. Education was provided based on the results of the examination to encourage the selection of low-calorie foods and increased fiber consumption. Triglyceride level examination is useful as an early screening for hypertriglyceridemia in the community. Education about high-calorie food consumption plays an important role in reducing metabolic risk and supporting the prevention of cardiovascular disorders through a healthier diet.

Total cholesterol and HDL assessments are fundamental initial steps in evaluating the risk of cardiovascular disease. The ratio between total cholesterol and HDL is considered a sensitive indicator in predicting atherosclerotic events. Screening activities were carried out using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach in adult participants. The examination was carried out using the Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) tool to assess total cholesterol and HDL levels from blood samples. Education was provided through leaflets containing information about lipid profiles and the importance of dietary changes. A total of 62 participants took part in this activity, with an age range of 23 to 76 years and the majority were female. Most participants had total cholesterol levels in the normal category, but almost all participants had HDL levels that were classified as low or very low. This lipid profile imbalance indicates a significant potential cardiovascular risk. The screening results underscore the need for continuous education on healthy dietary habits as a primary prevention strategy. Nutritional interventions emphasizing reduced intake of saturated fats, increased fiber consumption, and controlled sugar intake can help restore lipid balance and reduce the risk of atherosclerosis and long-term cardiovascular complications.

The current criminal law system is still oriented towards the perpetrator, with minimal protection for victims. Ideally, the law should prioritize justice for victims through a criminological and victimological approach. Therefore, legal reform, officer training, and integrated services are needed so that crime prevention is more effective and just. This study aims to explore the transformation of criminological and victimological perspectives that can be the basis for developing a crime prevention strategy based on victim protection.method uses a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the transformation of criminology and victimology perspectives in crime prevention strategies based on victim protection. Data were collected through literature studies and analyzed thematically. The results are expected to provide conceptual and practical recommendations to strengthen the legal system and social policies that are responsive to victims. The results of this study show that the transformation of criminological and victimological perspectives reflects a shift from a perpetrator-centric legal approach to a more holistic and victim-centric one. This integration strengthens the legal system and social policies to better protect, restore and empower victims, and to develop effective crime prevention strategies. With a more humane and restorative justice approach, this transformation becomes an important foundation for reducing crime rates and forming responsive and sustainable public policies.
