The Public Speaking Training Program in English was conducted by mentioned lecturers) from Political Science Department and International Relations Department, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ through the reactivation of the English Club Reborn in Bekasi City. This is a community service initiative aimed at enhancing the English language skills of children, teenagers, and adults. In today's globalized world, proficiency in English is a vital skill that opens numerous opportunities in education and careers. Bekasi, as a rapidly developing city, has significant potential to serve as a buffer for the international city of DKI Jakarta. The long-term goal of this program is to create quality human resources ready to compete at both local and international levels. Methods to achieve these goals will include interactive classes, group discussions, and public speaking practice. Activities will be conducted regularly in the form of workshops, featuring experienced guest speakers. Additionally, the program will leverage digital technology to support learning through online platforms and social media. Expected outcomes of this program are enhanced English language skills among participants, the establishment of an active English Club community, and increased confidence in public speaking. Ultimately, this program aims to make a significant contribution to human resource development in Bekasi City. In addition, this program is also expected to become a model for education-based community development that can be replicated in other regions.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of storytelling and movie discussion methods in improving students' English speaking skills at SMA Negeri 12 Makassar. The background of this research departs from the low active participation and courage of students in using oral English in class. The method used is a hands-on practice-based learning approach, where students are asked to tell stories orally and discuss short films in English. The research subjects consisted of 36 students in grades XI-3 who were involved in interactive learning activities with the support of visual media and group discussions. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in several aspects of speaking skills, namely fluency in speaking, mastery of vocabulary, pronunciation, and students' confidence in conveying ideas and opinions. In addition, this method also encourages the development of critical thinking skills, creativity, and cooperation between students in a fun and participatory learning atmosphere. Storytelling activities allow students to express themselves freely and in a structured way, while movie discussions facilitate understanding of cultural context and authentic use of language. Thus, the application of storytelling and movie discussion methods has proven to be effective as an innovative learning strategy in developing students' English speaking skills at the high school level. This study recommends the integration of these methods in the English language learning curriculum to improve the overall quality of students' oral communication.

This study aims to explore the implementation of the Resource-Based Learning (RBL) model in enhancing the critical thinking skills of tenth-grade students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA Negeri 1 Sangatta Selatan. It also examines the factors that support or hinder the use of the RBL model among these students. A qualitative approach was used, with field research as the research type. Data sources included both primary and secondary materials. Informants consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers and tenth-grade students. Data collection methods involved observation, interviews, and document analysis, and the data were analyzed descriptively. The findings reveal that the RBL model enables students to analyze information critically, engage more actively and reflectively with the material, enhance their logical thinking, deepen understanding, and develop the ability to find and evaluate appropriate solutions. Supporting factors for the model’s success include the availability of diverse learning resources, engaging teaching methods, teacher support as facilitators, and effective group collaboration and discussion. On the other hand, limited active participation from some students was identified as a barrier. Overall, the application of the RBL model significantly improved students’ critical thinking skills compared to traditional teaching methods. This was evidenced by an increase in the average critical thinking test scores in the experimental group. Therefore, the RBL model proves to be an effective alternative strategy for enhancing both the quality and outcomes of Islamic Religious Education at the high school level. Moreover, students showed greater engagement, improved collaboration skills, and increased independence in accessing and utilizing learning materials. These results highlight the effectiveness of the RBL model in fostering critical thinking and meaningful learning experiences in PAI subjects.

This community service activity aims to provide outreach and training related to the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in developing engaging, interactive, and effective learning tools for teachers in TKIT, SDIT, and SMPIT Darut Tauhid in Grobogan Regency. This service was carried out on June 11, 2025, using a qualitative approach through various methods, including presentations, interactive discussions, workshops, and direct practice in the use of AI technology. This activity emphasized improving teachers' skills in integrating AI technology into the learning process so that it can support the creation of a more innovative learning atmosphere and suit the needs of students in the digital era. The results of the activity showed a significant increase, both in terms of efficiency and quality. Teachers were able to save up to 70% of time preparing learning tools, produce more varied and engaging learning media, and show higher motivation in adopting digital technology to support the teaching and learning process. The three main tools introduced, namely ChatGPT, Claude, and Canva Magic Design, have been proven to help teachers in creating materials, designing media, and managing learning more effectively. The positive response from training participants also confirmed that the use of AI has significant potential for wider implementation in Islamic educational institutions. Therefore, this activity not only contributes to improving teacher competency but also opens up opportunities for developing technology-based learning models relevant to future educational challenges.

The main objective is to shape students' belief, understanding, and practice of Islamic teachings through planned learning activities, training, and guidance. Islamic religious education is an endeavor by educators to shape students' beliefs and practices via structured instruction, training, and guidance. This study explores the features of Islamic education resources across various educational levels, examining the types of instruction designed to identify these materials and evaluate their pros and cons. The study discovered that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials from different grade levels and educational types exhibit distinct characteristics. These differences include variations in content, weight, depth, as well as psychological, philosophical, sociological, and technological aspects. This study aims to improve the inspirational story writing skills of ninth grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Paliyan, Gunungkidul Regency, through the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) approach. The background of this research is the students’ low ability to express ideas coherently, meaningfully, and attractively in the form of inspirational stories. The SAVI approach is expected to make the learning process more enjoyable, active, and meaningful by involving various student learning styles. This research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the research were 32 ninth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and writing skill tests. The data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods to assess the improvement in students’ writing skills. The results of the study indicate that the SAVI approach effectively enhances students’ inspirational story writing skills. In the first cycle, students showed initial improvements, though they had not yet reached the success criteria. After revisions in the second cycle, students' writing skills significantly improved and met the expected indicators. The improvements were evident in aspects such as text structure, language use, and idea development. Therefore, the SAVI approach is effective in teaching inspirational story writing.

Elementary education is the fundamental stage in shaping students’ character, attitudes, and learning motivation. Learning interest plays a vital role in determining students’ success in understanding and mastering the lessons. However, differences in background, abilities, and learning styles often cause significant variations in students’ interest. Therefore, it is necessary to apply an analytical method that can group students based on their level of learning interest so that teachers can provide appropriate learning strategies. This study aims to implement the K-Means Clustering algorithm to identify the learning interest of students at Sekolah Dasar Negeri Puu Naga. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires consisting of several indicators of learning interest, such as perseverance in completing assignments, enthusiasm during lessons, attention to teacher explanations, and participation in class activities. The collected data were then analyzed using the K-Means algorithm to form several clusters of learning interest. The data processing stages included determining the number of clusters, selecting the initial centroid, calculating the distance of data to the centroid, grouping data, and iterating until a stable clustering result was achieved. The results of the study show that the K-Means algorithm successfully grouped students into three main categories, namely high, medium, and low learning interest. Students in the high-interest group consistently demonstrated active learning behavior and strong intrinsic motivation, while those in the medium group showed fluctuating interest influenced by external factors such as the learning environment and teaching methods. Meanwhile, students in the low-interest group displayed a lack of attention and motivation, thus requiring special interventions. These findings provide valuable insights for the school, especially teachers, in designing adaptive and personalized teaching strategies. In conclusion, the application of the K-Means algorithm is proven effective as an analytical tool to identify students’ learning interest.

Physics learning in high schools is often facing challenges due to lack of laboratory facilities, especially for abstract topics such as electron deflection. Limited equipment often results in a theoretical learning process without real-world practical experience. This community service activity aims to address this gap by assisting with electron deflection experiments at a high school in Surabaya. The methods applied included preparation and coordination, provision of equipment, inquiry-based learning design, classroom experiment implementation, and activity evaluation. During the program, the team brought the electron deflection experiment equipment to the school. Students were divided into small groups, and each group took turns interacting closely with the equipment brought by the team. Students were encouraged to propose hypotheses, observe carefully, and engage in discussions. A total of 58 students participated in this activity and had the opportunity to directly observe electron path in a cathode ray tube. The evaluation showed an excellent response from students with an average score of 3.48 (scale 1–4), where they felt this activity helped them learn theory with practice and increased their enthusiasm for learning. This program demonstrates that collaboration between universities and schools can be an efficient solution to overcome the lack of laboratory facilities and improve the quality of more meaningful physics learning.

This study explores the alignment between science learning practices and children’s cognitive development stages based on Jean Piaget’s theory. Ten academic publications were systematically reviewed to examine how Piaget’s framework can be applied in science education. The findings highlight that integrating cognitive development theory is highly relevant for improving the quality of teaching and learning in schools. At the concrete operational stage (approximately 7–11 years), children learn best through direct experiences, manipulation of real objects, contextual media, and experiments that connect concepts with daily life. These methods help foster curiosity and reinforce conceptual understanding. As learners progress to the formal operational stage (around 11 years and above), they begin to think abstractly, reason logically, and analyze critically. At this level, student-centered approaches, inquiry-based methods, and constructivist learning become more effective in enhancing problem-solving, creativity, and higher-order thinking skills. The review also indicates that adapting instruction to developmental stages supports more meaningful and sustainable learning outcomes. In the Indonesian educational context, this approach can address challenges such as limited classroom facilities, diverse student learning styles, and a curriculum that is often overloaded. By applying Piaget’s insights, teachers can design learning strategies that bridge abstract concepts with concrete understanding, thus increasing student motivation and engagement. In conclusion, aligning science education with Piaget’s cognitive stages is an effective way to improve student performance and ensure long-term academic growth. The study provides valuable input for teachers, researchers, and policymakers in developing innovative, student-centered science and mathematics education.

E-learning has become a vital pillar in higher education, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic forced a sudden shift towards digital learning methods. This article examines the effectiveness of e-learning platforms through a comparative literature review (2020–2025), focusing on Moodle, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and CIDOS 4.0 as the local platform. The study evaluates aspects of student engagement, accessibility, assessment, and technological innovation. Findings reveal that although e-learning enhances flexibility, challenges remain in terms of the digital divide, system usability, and reliability of assessment. This review highlights that Moodle provides strong interactive and assessment features, while Google Classroom offers simplicity and accessibility but lacks advanced analytics. Microsoft Teams supports collaboration and integration with Office 365, yet requires stable internet. Zoom is highly effective for synchronous interaction but less suitable for task management. CIDOS 4.0 addresses Malaysia’s TVET context but continues to face issues with server stability and user interface design. Beyond platform-specific strengths and weaknesses, the analysis emphasizes that student engagement, fair access, and reliable evaluation methods are central to e-learning effectiveness. Hybrid approaches that combine face-to-face and online learning are identified as the most effective strategy within the Malaysian higher education context. The study concludes that institutions must not only choose appropriate platforms but also enhance digital literacy, invest in infrastructure, and explore innovations such as AI and gamification. These measures can maximize e-learning’s potential to improve teaching, learning quality, and the broader digital transformation of higher education.

The Children’s Reading and Learning Corner program is a community service activity implemented by Group 7 of the Community Service Program (KKN) from Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Jakarta in Kalibaru Subdistrict, North Jakarta. This program was designed to address the challenge of low reading interest and the limited access to learning facilities among children in the local community. The main target of the activity was children aged 5–8 years, with the objective of increasing reading interest, strengthening basic cognitive skills, and fostering positive learning habits from an early age. The program was carried out through interactive learning methods with a thematic approach, combined with group discussions, question-and-answer sessions, shared reading, and simple practices that encouraged active participation. The learning materials covered Basic Mathematics, Indonesian Language, and General Knowledge, all adjusted to the children’s comprehension levels. In addition, a coloring competition was held to foster creativity, train fine motor skills, and create a fun and engaging learning atmosphere. Evaluation results indicated a significant improvement in children’s enthusiasm for learning, better understanding of the provided materials, and more active involvement during the sessions. The children also demonstrated increased self-confidence, particularly when asked to read aloud or answer questions in front of their peers. Furthermore, the provision of a bookshelf in the community hall became a strategic step to establish a sustainable reading space that could be used outside of program hours. Overall, the program successfully achieved its intended goals and is considered feasible to be expanded to other areas. Additional support in the form of a wider collection of books, more creative learning media, and consistent community involvement will be key factors in ensuring the sustainability and long-term impact of the program.

This Community Service Program aims to strengthen the basic English language skills of children aged 5-12 in RW 03 Kalibaru, Cilincing, North Jakarta. Initial observations revealed low vocabulary mastery and a lack of confidence in communication among these children. With foreign language literacy rates for primary school-aged children in coastal North Jakarta at only 27.5%, non-formal educational intervention is crucial to support their school learning. As part of a university community service program (KKN), this initiative was carried out over three meetings with 30 children. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which emphasizes active collaboration between program facilitators and the community. The program's implementation included introducing basic materials such as the alphabet, numbers, colors, and vocabulary related to animals and family members, as well as practicing simple conversations like self-introductions and greetings. The learning methods applied were highly interactive, integrating educational games, songs, visualization, and role-playing. The evaluation, using pre-test and post-test instruments, showed a significant improvement in the participants' understanding. The average initial score increased sharply from 68.5 to 85.7, representing a 17.2-point or approximately 25% increase. This improvement proves the effectiveness of the interactive methods used in strengthening material mastery. Furthermore, the program successfully fostered an inclusive and enjoyable learning environment. A social change was observed in the form of increased self-confidence among the children when using English, a willingness to speak in front of their friends, and positive interactions among participants. Overall, this program not only succeeded in enhancing basic English skills but also fostered social transformation through increased confidence and positive interaction. Although challenges such as varying levels of understanding and limited learning media were encountered.

The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata / KKN) of Universitas Tidar Group 23 in Giriwetan Village, Grabag District, Magelang Regency, was conducted for one month (July 3–August 3, 2025) with the aim of strengthening students’ interest in pursuing higher education at SD Negeri Giriwetan. This topic is important due to the low motivation of students in rural areas, influenced by economic limitations, lack of information, and insufficient environmental support. The study employed a qualitative method through observation, interviews, and documentation to describe the process and impact of the program. Activities included coloring and creating environmental-themed posters, song creation training using Artificial Intelligence (AI), and developing a “Tree of Hopes” containing students’ aspirations. The results indicate an increase in learning motivation, awareness of the importance of education, and interest in technology. The program proved effective through its creative and participatory approach, despite limitations in time and scope. These findings highlight the importance of sustaining similar structured programs to achieve broader and long-term impacts. Furthermore, the program was not only beneficial for students but also had a positive effect on teachers and the surrounding community. Teachers gained exposure to innovative teaching methods and technology-based learning media that can be adapted in future classes. Parents and community leaders became more aware of the role of family and environment in supporting children’s education. The collaboration between university students and local stakeholders created a sense of collective responsibility in shaping the younger generation. In addition, the integration of Artificial Intelligence as a learning tool sparked curiosity among students and introduced them to the relevance of technology in daily life. Although challenges such as limited facilities and short implementation time persisted, the program successfully demonstrated that creativity and participatory engagement could overcome such barriers.

This study explores the role of principal leadership style in shaping the quality of 21st-century teaching skills among elementary school teachers in Indonesia, with particular attention to leadership practices, challenges encountered, and strategies for improvement. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research was conducted at SD Negeri 90 Sampulungan, Takalar, South Sulawesi, involving the principal and teachers as participants. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation to provide a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. The findings indicate that the principal primarily employed transformational and democratic leadership styles. These approaches motivated teachers by inspiring them with clear visions, serving as role models, and encouraging active participation in decision-making processes. Such leadership practices contributed significantly to teacher engagement and the overall school climate. Teachers, in turn, demonstrated competencies aligned with 21st-century learning demands, particularly through the application of the 4Cs: critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. They also showed efforts in integrating information and communication technology (ICT) into their teaching practices and implementing interactive classroom management strategies. However, several challenges were identified, including limited availability of facilities, resistance among some teachers toward adopting innovative methods, and the heavy administrative workload that often distracted from instructional focus. To address these issues, the principal implemented various strategies such as organizing continuous professional development training, providing close supervision and mentoring, and offering motivational support to sustain teacher commitment. Overall, the study emphasizes the crucial role of transformational leadership in strengthening teachers’ 21st-century skills and offers practical implications for educational policy development, while also recommending future studies across broader school contexts in Indonesia.

This study aims to examine the effect of applying Dual Coding-based audiovisual learning methods on the learning comprehension of fifth- and sixth-grade students at SDN 2 Korowelanganyar. The research background arises from the issue of low student understanding due to monotonous teaching methods and lecture dominance. Dual Coding integrates verbal (audio) and visual (images, videos) channels, making information easier to process and retain. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, namely the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. A total of 60 students were involved, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through pretest and posttest, then analyzed using a t-test. Results indicated no significant difference between groups in the pretest. However, the posttest revealed a significant difference, with the experimental group achieving a higher mean score (94.67) compared to the control group (84.00). These findings demonstrate that audiovisual Dual Coding significantly improves students’ learning comprehension. Therefore, this method can serve as an effective and interactive learning strategy aligned with the cognitive development of elementary school students.

This study aims to analyze students’ perceptions of foreign language learning and its impact on their readiness to enter the international job market. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, collecting data through questionnaires distributed to 100 students from various study programs across multiple faculties. The study explored students’ experiences in learning foreign languages, including perceived challenges, motivations, and the effectiveness of teaching strategies applied in the classroom. The findings indicate that foreign language proficiency has a positive correlation with students’ confidence levels, especially when facing cross-border professional challenges, international collaboration, and communication with global stakeholders. Students reported that while foreign language learning at the university is generally effective, there are areas for improvement, particularly regarding the integration of real-world contexts, industry-specific vocabulary, and interactive practice opportunities. Furthermore, the study revealed that students value opportunities for cultural exposure, international internships, and collaboration with foreign peers as part of their learning experience. Based on these findings, universities are recommended to adopt strategies such as curriculum integration, practice-based teaching methods, interdisciplinary projects, and strengthening international partnerships to better prepare students for global employment. The study concludes that foreign language mastery is not only a linguistic skill but also an essential social, cultural, and professional capital that enhances graduates’ competitiveness in the global job market. Community Service (Kukerta) is a form of student community service that aims to apply knowledge, build social awareness, and encourage positive change in the surrounding environment. This article discusses the role of Kukerta Group 44 students from UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten in environmental conservation efforts and increasing educational awareness in Cibojong Village, Serang Regency. The majority of the population in Cibojong Village earn their living as farmers, but the agricultural produce obtained is generally only sufficient to meet daily needs, without guaranteeing long-term economic sustainability. Therefore, students educate the community through guidance from the BPP (Agricultural Extension Center), about learning to farm for the long term, and invite them to join the farming community. In addition, the community’s education level is relatively low, with most children only completing elementary school. Through a participatory approach and qualitative descriptive methods, students implement various programs such as planting productive trees, waste management education, and socialization of sustainable agriculture. In the field of education, students hold tutoring activities, motivational classes, and literacy for village children and adolescents. The results of the activity show that the active involvement of students has a positive impact on increasing public awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and continuing education. Kukerta is an effective means of building collaboration between universities and village communities to address local challenges sustainably.

The community service team observed that a common issue faced by students in partner schools is difficulty focusing during lessons, largely due to distractions from gadgets, particularly social media. Many students become fixated on social media applications, ignoring ongoing lessons. This concern has prompted our partner schools to organize interactive discussions and provide information on how to use social media wisely and manage time between learning and gadget use. And the goal of our community service was to raise awareness and provide training on responsible social media use, prevent the impact of social media on adolescent brain development (brain rot), and improve students' focus and thinking skills. The methods used in this community service included: (a) analyzing the needs and problems, (b) observing and understanding the policies of the partner schools in addressing these issues, and (c) conducting activities that involved socializing responsible social media use and brain development training. The community service was conducted on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at MA Bina Mulia, Pasir Putih Village, Sawangan District, Depok, West Java, from 08:00 to 10:00 WIB. The event consisted of a presentation on "Brain Rot in Productive Age Teenagers," followed by training aimed at enhancing focus and reasoning skills

Student motivation is crucial to success in learning a foreign language. This study focuses on analyzing the motivation of students studying Indonesian as a foreign language in the Bipas in-country learning program at Udayana University in Bali. Specifically, the study is aimed at investigating the motivations of foreign students learning Indonesian in the program, and whether students' learning motivation shifts by the end of the course. The study involved 38 foreign students and five Indonesian lecturers during the Spring 2024 semester as respondents, and applied an explanatory sequential mixed methods design which consists of two phases, namely a quantitative phase and a qualitative phase to collect data. The results show that, despite strong support from the Balinese community for using the Indonesian language, students' motivation shifted from instrumental to integrative at the end of the course. Integrative motivation, which is prevalent, is defined as a desire to connect with the culture and community. Instrumental motivation ,on the other hand,  such as the expectation that learning Indonesian will open up career opportunities or improve social status, remains relatively low. To increase overall motivation, the learning programme should combine the two types of motivation, strengthening the sense of social connection and emphasising the practical value and tangible benefits of learning Indonesian.
