The integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) into the Web of Things (WoT) offers cross-platform interoperability but presents significant security challenges for constrained devices. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of security mechanisms in three major WoT protocols: HTTP, CoAP, and MQTT. The research methodology employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following PRISMA guidelines, reviewing 22 selected articles published between 2020 and 2025. The analysis utilizes PICOC criteria to compare communication overhead, computational consumption, and security mechanisms such as DTLS, OSCORE, and TLS integration. The results indicate that CoAP, combined with OSCORE and EDHOC mechanisms, provides the optimal balance between energy efficiency and end-to-end security for resource-constrained devices. MQTT demonstrates superiority in throughput and data transmission speed but requires additional security layers to ensure data confidentiality. Meanwhile, HTTP dominates in terms of Web service integration and access control, despite having the highest overhead burden. In conclusion, no single protocol is superior for all scenarios; the choice of protocol in WoT architecture must be based on the trade-offs between latency, resource efficiency, and system security requirements

Energy efficiency in water heaters is a crucial factor in ship operational environments due to limited electricity resources that rely on generators. This study aims to design and build an IoT-based water heater monitoring system with an innovative heat storage medium in the form of a mixture of silica sand and paraffin wax to improve thermal efficiency. Although previous studies have developed temperature monitoring and control systems in IoT-based water heaters, this study specifically fills this gap by analyzing the performance of adding silica sand to overcome the low thermal conductivity of paraffin wax. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method, this system was built with an ESP32 microcontroller as the control center, a DS18B20 temperature sensor for accurate measurements, and the Blynk and Google Sheets platforms for real-time monitoring and data recording. Performance testing was conducted by comparing the water heating rate between pure paraffin wax media and the mixed media. The results showed that the monitoring system functioned reliably, and the main finding proved that the addition of silica sand to paraffin wax significantly increased heating efficiency. This was clearly seen from the reduction in time required to raise the water temperature to 40°C, from 2.5 hours to only 1 hour in the second heating cycle. The results of this study indicate that the integration of silica sand and paraffin wax media with IoT technology can increase the efficiency of water heaters and provide an innovative solution for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly temperature control.

Breakups often trigger psychological conflict ranging from stress, anxiety, depression, to risky behavior that have an impact on individual well-being and the social environment. This study explores the role of law in preventing, responding to, and recovering such psychological impacts through an interdisciplinary approach. The methodology used is a normative-juridical study combined with a literature review of clinical psychology and mental health policy. The findings show that the legal framework can function on three levels: (1) preventive, through the guarantee of the right to mental health, digital literacy, and platform governance to prevent post-breakup online harassment; (2) protective, through victim protection mechanisms against psychological violence, stalking, doxing, and the dissemination of non-consensual intimate content; and (3) curative, with a referral scheme for counseling services, the provision of legal aid, data confidentiality guarantees, and restorative justice instruments centered on victim recovery. However, there are implementation gaps, including the lack of standardization of psychological assessments in the legal process, limited access to services at the grassroots level, and coordination between institutions that are not optimal. This article recommends the integration of mental health protocols in the law enforcement process, evidentiary guidelines for psychological violence, as well as cross-sectoral collaboration with psychological service providers and digital platforms. The main contribution of this study is the mapping of a comprehensive legal intervention framework for post-breakup psychological conflicts.

This literature review synthesizes a wide range of research findings that examine the role of auxin distribution direction in regulating leaf primordium patterning, known as phyllotaxis, in Arabidopsis thaliana. The reviewed studies consistently indicate that phyllotaxis represents a highly coordinated growth regulation mechanism that is primarily governed by Polar Auxin Transport (PAT), which is mediated by Pin-Formed (PIN) auxin efflux proteins. The polarity and spatial localization of PIN proteins generate dynamic auxin gradients within the shoot apical meristem, and these gradients function as key positional signals that determine the precise sites where new leaf primordia are initiated. Furthermore, auxin distribution is not regulated solely by PAT but is tightly integrated with genetic, cellular, and mechanical cues. Several studies highlight the role of transcription factors such as TMO5 in influencing PIN1 convergence and reinforcing auxin maxima at primordium initiation sites. In addition, the interaction between PIN polarity and the orientation of cortical microtubules suggests that mechanical stress and cytoskeletal organization contribute to the stability and directionality of auxin flow. Comparative analysis of the literature demonstrates that PAT and PIN proteins operate through interconnected mechanisms to control auxin distribution direction, which ultimately shapes the spatial arrangement and regularity of leaf primordium patterns. Overall, this review emphasizes the complexity and integration of hormonal, genetic, and mechanical signals in controlling phyllotaxis in plants.

Equal access to health services is a fundamental right of citizens. However, vulnerable groups such as beggars are often neglected because they do not have valid residence documents. The Medan City Government launched the Medan Berkah Health Insurance Program (JKMB) to support universal Health Coverage, allowing free health services only with a Medan ID card. This study aims to assess the implementation of JKMB on beggars in Medan City by using the implementation suitability model from David C. Korten, which emphasizes the relationship between programs, organizations, and beneficiaries. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Informants consisted of beggars without identity who had been disciplined by Social Services, program Implementation officers, and academics in the field of social welfare. The results showed that JKMB can only be accessed by beggars while under the supervision of Social Services, through temporary identities such as "Mr. X". After being repatriated (reunification), access to health services cannot be continued due to the absence of An ID. The Program has not been able to reach marginalized groups on an ongoing basis, and there has been no integration of cross-sector data systems. The findings expose the discrepancy between program design and Target conditions, highlighting the importance of more inclusive policy reformulation, facilitation of identity ownership, and inter-agency coordination to create equitable and sustainable health access for all citizens

Drug abuse in Indonesia is a form of social deviance influenced by psychological pressure, structural conditions, and weak social ties. This phenomenon is not only related to legal aspects but also arises as a response to stress, anxiety, and negative emotional experiences. Theories such as self-medication, escapism, Durkheim and Merton's Anomie, and Agnew's General Strain Theory suggest that drug abuse behavior can develop due to imbalanced norms, social tension, and an individual's inability to cope with life's pressures. In inmates, these factors are exacerbated by challenging social and economic experiences prior to their incarceration, increasing the risk of involvement in drug use and trafficking. This study emphasizes the need for a multidimensional approach to understanding this deviance and supporting rehabilitation and social reintegration efforts. Strengthening the roles of families, communities, and educational institutions in preventing drug abuse is crucial for providing ongoing support. A deeper understanding of the patterns of individual involvement in drug abuse is key to designing more effective prevention programs, based on psychological, social, and structural approaches to reduce the long-term impact of drug abuse on society.
