This study aims to examine the influence of compensation and work discipline on employee performance at Cahaya Nikmah Bakery located in Samarinda City. More specifically, this study analyzes three main things: first, the influence of compensation on employee performance; second, the influence of work discipline on employee performance; and third, the simultaneous influence of compensation and work discipline on employee performance. This study was conducted on 40 permanent employees who work at Cahaya Nikmah Bakery as research subjects. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques to determine the relationship and influence between the variables studied. The results of the data analysis show that the calculated F value of 35.898 is greater than the F table of 2.87 at a significance level of 5%. In addition, the significance value of 0.000 is below the critical limit of 0.05. This indicates that there is a simultaneous significant influence between compensation and work discipline on employee performance at Cahaya Nikmah Bakery. In other words, the combination of the two independent variables has a real contribution in influencing the level of employee performance. In addition to the simultaneous effect, the partial test results also show that each variable, namely compensation and work discipline, has a significant influence on individual employee performance. This is evidenced by the significance value for both variables, which is 0.000, which is also less than 0.05. The conclusion of this study shows that adequate compensation and the implementation of good work discipline can significantly improve employee performance. Therefore, company management is advised to continue developing a fair compensation system and strengthening a culture of work discipline to support overall company productivity and efficiency.

Entrepreneurial management is a process that involves the ability of individuals to create, manage, and develop businesses effectively in order to survive and compete in the midst of dynamic market changes. In this context, interest, creativity, and connections are important factors that can drive the success of a business, especially in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. This study aims to analyze the influence of interest (X1), creativity (X2), and connection (X3) on business success (Y) in food MSME actors in Sumberejo Village. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The main instrument used in data collection is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The number of respondents in this study was 77 people, who were selected using purposive sampling techniques based on certain criteria such as the length of business and the type of food products produced. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression with the help of statistical software. The results of the study show that the variables of interest, creativity, and connection simultaneously or partially have a positive and significant effect on the success of MSME businesses. Thus, MSME actors who have a high interest in entrepreneurship, are able to create product innovations, and have a wide network of relationships, tend to have a greater chance of achieving business success. This research suggests the need for entrepreneurship training that not only focuses on the technical aspects of production, but also the development of soft skills and social networks. Thus, the empowerment of MSMEs in rural areas will be more optimal and sustainable. These findings are expected to be a reference for village governments, training institutions, and other related parties in formulating strategies to strengthen MSMEs in rural areas.

This study aims to empirically analyze the influence of product quality and service quality on customer satisfaction, with purchase decisions as a mediating variable, specifically among Alfamart consumers in the Singosari area, Malang Regency. The background of this research stems from the increasing competition in the modern retail sector, which requires companies to understand the key factors influencing customer satisfaction and loyalty. In this context, product quality and service quality are considered essential elements that shape customer perceptions and influence their purchasing decisions. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was used in this study. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, involving 97 respondents who had made purchases at Alfamart at least twice within the last three months. Data collection was conducted through the distribution of structured questionnaires, which included items measuring perceptions of product quality, service quality, purchase decisions, and customer satisfaction. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to examine the relationships among variables comprehensively and simultaneously. The results of the analysis show that both product quality and service quality have a significant and positive effect on purchase decisions and customer satisfaction. Moreover, purchase decisions are proven to significantly mediate the influence of both product and service quality on customer satisfaction. This indicates that the purchase decision acts as a crucial mechanism linking the effect of quality to overall satisfaction. These findings contribute theoretically to the consumer behavior literature in the modern retail context and offer practical implications for retail management, such as Alfamart. Retailers are encouraged to focus on improving both product offerings and service delivery as strategic efforts to enhance customer experience. By doing so, they can effectively increase customer satisfaction and strengthen customer loyalty in the long term.

This study focuses on analyzing the factors influencing auditor switching in telecommunications companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2021–2024 period, by examining the variables of management turnover, audit committee, financial distress, auditor reputation, and audit fees. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach utilizing secondary data in the form of annual financial reports. The sample size was determined using a purposive sampling technique for 55 companies. Auditor switching served as the dependent variable, measured by a dummy variable, while the other five variables served as independent variables. The analysis results indicate that none of the independent variables significantly influenced auditor switching decisions. This suggests that auditor switching decisions in companies are more influenced by strategic factors, such as the company's need to obtain audit services that better align with its business vision and auditor competency, which is considered capable of maintaining the credibility of financial reports. These findings emphasize the importance of a continuous relationship between auditors and clients as part of efforts to maintain the quality, consistency, and independence of the resulting audit. The practical implication of this study is that companies need to prioritize professionalism, audit quality, and long-term partnerships with auditors, rather than solely considering internal factors such as management structure or financial pressure. From a regulatory perspective, this research provides important input for strengthening regulations and oversight regarding audit quality and auditor independence, rather than solely focusing on auditor switching frequency. Thus, this study expands the literature on auditor switching dynamics and confirms that audit success is determined more by the quality of relationships and competence than by internal technical factors alone.

Slums are one of the biggest challenges in sustainable urban development. In the midst of the government's efforts to run a program to handle slum organizations, the issue of miscarriage after physical intervention often goes unnoticed. This study aims to stop the slum management program in Tegal Sari Mandala II Village, with a Mixed Methods approach that combines linear multiple quantitative regression analysis and a qualitative descriptive approach. The results show that community participation has a significant effect on poverty programs, while infra-structure quality has not shown a statistically strong relationship. Qualitative findings support these results, where residents feel more attached to the programs they have followed in the past. Meanwhile, a number of infrastructures that are not in accordance with needs are considered less effective in supporting sustainability. This study concludes that the desire of the program is not only determined by technical aspects, but also by social, institutional, and cultural factors that are intertwined. Strategic recommendations include strengthening participation, improving design based on local needs, and integration with spatial policies.

This study aims to analyze the role of mental health as a moderation variable in the relationship between work facilities and employee job satisfaction. Adequate work facilities are generally thought to be able to increase job satisfaction, but these effects can vary depending on the individual's psychological condition, particularly mental health. This research is motivated by the importance of a holistic approach in human resource management, which includes both physical and psychological aspects of the work environment. The research method used was a quantitative approach with survey techniques to 150 respondents working in the public service sector in urban areas. The data collection instrument was in the form of a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale, and hypothesis testing was carried out through moderation regression analysis using the help of SPSS software. The results of the study show that work facilities have a positive and significant influence on employee job satisfaction. In addition, it was found that mental health played a significant role as a significant moderation variable in the relationship. This means that the influence of work facilities on job satisfaction becomes stronger or weaker depending on the level of mental health possessed by employees. These findings underscore the importance of organizations not only focusing on improving physical work facilities, but also paying attention to and managing employees' mental health as an integral part of strategies to improve well-being and work productivity. Interventions such as counseling programs, work-life balance, and stress management training need to be considered as part of the organization's policies. This research makes a theoretical contribution in enriching the understanding of the role of psychological variables in job satisfaction dynamics, as well as a practical contribution to management in designing a healthier and more productive work environment.

This study aims to analyze the influence of the lifestyle of credit relationship managers (RMs) and the potential for fraud on the occurrence of non-performing loans in the banking sector. Relationship managers are the spearheads of credit distribution, interacting directly with customers, so their behavior, lifestyle, and integrity have a significant impact on the quality of a bank's credit portfolio. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a systematic literature review approach, reviewing various recent studies related to bank employee lifestyles, factors driving fraud, and their correlation with non-performing loans. The results indicate that a consumptive lifestyle disproportionate to income can increase the risk of fraudulent behavior, such as manipulation of credit analysis or collusion with customers, which ultimately results in an increase in non-performing loans. Furthermore, weak internal control systems, pressure to achieve credit targets, and moral hazard exacerbate this risk. A lifestyle that prioritizes social symbols and self-image can also encourage employees to engage in deviant behavior to maintain this lifestyle. Several studies have shown that RMs trapped in a hedonistic lifestyle are more vulnerable to conflicts of interest and violations of professional ethics. Meanwhile, the potential for fraud in banking practices is also influenced by employees' weak personal financial literacy, as well as limited training in risk management and ongoing work ethics. In an organizational context, a work culture oriented toward achieving targets without regard for the quality of credit analysis has the potential to create a work climate that is permissive of irregularities. This study recommends strengthening a culture of integrity through the establishment of a firm code of ethics, technology-based supervision (such as an AI-based fraud detection system), and regular training on a healthy financial lifestyle and risk management for RMs.

Pharmacist professionalism is a key component in ensuring the quality of pharmaceutical services, encompassing not only compliance with technical and scientific standards but also a deep commitment to moral and ethical principles. In the Indonesian cultural context, the concept of "medicine as a trust" (obat sebagai amanah) reflects a profound sense of responsibility, where medicine is viewed not merely as a commodity, but as a mandate that must be preserved with integrity and accountability in health care practices. This article conceptually explores the relationship between pharmacist professionalism and the moral value of trust within the framework of the Nusantara constitutional theory. This theory emphasizes the integration of legal, cultural, and moral dimensions in shaping professional conduct in Indonesia. Using a descriptive-critical approach through literature review, this study investigates how trust functions as both a legal expectation and a cultural imperative in the practice of pharmacy. The findings highlight that trust must be internalized as a core value in pharmaceutical services—manifested through ethical decision-making, transparency in drug management, and a commitment to prioritizing patient welfare. Pharmacists are not only required to uphold professional standards, but also to carry out their duties as custodians of public trust. To realize this vision, the integration of the value of trust into pharmacy education, legal regulations, and clinical practice is essential. Educational institutions, professional organizations, and regulatory bodies must work collaboratively to instill this value as part of a pharmacist’s identity. In doing so, the profession can contribute more effectively to building a health care system that is just, culturally grounded, and centered on the well-being of the people.

This study examines the effectiveness of implementing a democratic classroom management model in enhancing student learning motivation at Jambu Public Elementary School 3. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through direct classroom observations and interviews involving teachers and students. The aim was to understand how democratic principles applied in classroom settings could influence students’ motivation, behavior, and engagement in learning activities. The findings reveal that adopting democratic leadership in classroom management creates an inclusive, respectful, and participatory learning environment. Students are encouraged to express opinions, collaborate in decision-making, and take ownership of their learning process. This approach significantly enhances intrinsic motivation, responsibility, and student independence. It also helps reduce passive behavior and fosters a sense of belonging and self-worth among students. The results are in line with several prominent educational theories. According to Self-Determination Theory (Deci & Ryan), autonomy and relatedness are key drivers of motivation, which are facilitated through democratic practices. Vygotsky’s Social Development Theory emphasizes the role of social interaction in learning, which is actively promoted in this model. Carl Rogers’ humanistic approach also supports the creation of a learning climate centered on empathy and student potential, while Rudolf Dreikurs’ Adlerian classroom model advocates for respectful teacher-student relationships and cooperative behavior. Overall, the implementation of a democratic classroom management model is considered effective in promoting both academic achievement and character development at the elementary level. The study recommends broader application of this model in primary education settings to support holistic student growth and to foster a learning culture rooted in mutual respect, responsibility, and student agency.

This study aims to examine the relationship between a company's value (firm value) and three key variables: environmental performance, capital structure, and management ownership. The research focuses on companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period from 2022 to 2024. The objective is to understand how these internal and external factors contribute to shaping a company’s market valuation and overall financial health. Using a panel data regression analysis with a fixed effect model, the study provides empirical evidence based on secondary data drawn from company financial reports and sustainability disclosures. The results indicate that capital structure, measured by the proportion of debt to equity, has a significant negative impact on firm value. In contrast, both environmental performance and the proportion of shares owned by management have a positive and significant effect on firm value. These findings suggest that while excessive debt may erode investor confidence and reduce a firm's valuation, strong environmental commitments and management ownership foster positive perceptions in the eyes of stakeholders, including investors and customers. Theoretically, this research supports stakeholder and agency theories by highlighting how internal governance and ethical responsibility play a role in corporate success. Pragmatically, the results offer important insights for companies, especially in emerging markets like Indonesia, to align sustainability and ownership strategies with financial management to boost firm value. Companies are encouraged to optimize their capital structures, strengthen their environmental reporting practices, and promote management ownership as a way to align interests and enhance long-term performance. Overall, this study contributes to the literature on corporate governance and sustainability by providing current, context-specific evidence relevant to stakeholders in the Indonesian capital market.

Children's education and development are crucial aspects and a primary concern for parents, especially in the field of sports. In this context, the Science Swimming Team (SST) Sidoarjo swimming club plays a strategic role in providing quality swimming training for children. This study aims to evaluate the level of parental satisfaction with the quality of services provided by the club's coaches. Using a quantitative approach and descriptive design, this study collected data through a closed-ended questionnaire distributed to 15 respondents who were parents of students at SST. The research instrument was structured based on five dimensions of service quality: tangibles, empathy, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively quantitatively by calculating frequency distributions and percentages to obtain a clear picture of the level of parental satisfaction. The results showed that the majority of respondents, namely 53.33%, felt quite satisfied with the services provided by the coaches, while 26.67% felt satisfied, 13.33% were less satisfied, and 6.67% were dissatisfied. The reliability and responsiveness dimensions scored highest, indicating that coaches were able to provide reliable and responsive services to parents' needs. However, the tangible and empathy dimensions still need to be improved to achieve optimal satisfaction. The implications of these findings suggest that coaches and club management need to strengthen the quality of existing facilities and infrastructure and develop a more empathetic communication approach with parents. This is crucial for creating a better relationship between coaches and parents, thereby increasing their trust and satisfaction with the services provided. Future research is recommended to expand the number of respondents and identify specific factors influencing satisfaction, so that the results obtained are more comprehensive and applicable in the context of service development in swimming clubs.

This study investigates the monetary transmission mechanisms influencing inflation and exchange rates across seven Southeast Asian countries (Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) over the period 2010–2023, with special focus on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The research addresses the problem of macroeconomic instability, particularly the volatility in inflation and currency values during crisis periods, and aims to identify the dominant monetary factors affecting these indicators. The study employs a mixed quantitative approach using Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR), Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL), and Paired Sample t-Test to analyze the short-term and long-term relationships among key variables: Gross Domestic Product (GDP), investment, money supply (M2), interest rates, inflation, and exchange rates. Findings reveal that GDP is the most influential factor impacting both inflation and exchange rates, followed by money supply and interest rates. The variance decomposition analysis confirms that these monetary variables significantly explain macroeconomic fluctuations in both pre- and post-pandemic contexts. The t-Test further indicates statistically significant changes in inflation and exchange rates before and after the pandemic, highlighting the disruptive effect of COVID-19 on economic stability. The results demonstrate that inflation declined significantly in most countries during the pandemic, while exchange rate behavior varied depending on economic resilience and policy responsiveness. The study concludes that maintaining macroeconomic stability requires not only monetary policy coordination but also effective public health crisis management. This research contributes to the regional policy discourse by offering empirical insights and evidence-based recommendations to strengthen economic resilience in Southeast Asia.

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and work environment on employee performance at Home Industry Ice Cream El Fariz. The background of this research highlights the importance of adaptive human resource management in small business environments, where interpersonal relationships and informal organizational structures significantly impact work effectiveness. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method, in which data were collected through questionnaires from 30 employees as respondents. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine both partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on employee performance. The findings indicate that neither leadership style nor work environment has a statistically significant effect on employee performance, as both variables showed p-values greater than 0.05. Simultaneously, the model was also found to be insignificant, with the F-statistic falling below the critical value. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.199, suggesting that only 19.9% of the variation in employee performance could be explained by the model, while the remaining 80.1% is influenced by other factors outside the study. These results imply that in the context of a home industry, informal factors such as intrinsic motivation, social bonds, and organizational culture play a more dominant role in shaping employee performance than the formal variables examined. This research provides practical insights for small business owners to adopt more contextual and relationship-based managerial approaches in enhancing workforce productivity.

The design of Lecturer Housing for Campus 4 Gorontalo State University is a strategic necessity in line with the expansion of educational institutions and the increasing number of educators requiring adequate and proximate housing. The primary objective of this research is to produce a lecturer housing design that is not only adaptive and sustainable, but also harmonized with the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) of Bone Bolango Regency. The research methodology encompasses a comprehensive site analysis, examining aspects such as climate conditions, topography, vegetation patterns, infrastructure and utility networks, ambient noise levels, and site accessibility. Furthermore, a zoning and spatial relationship study was conducted to determine effective space allocation based on the principles of tropical architecture and green building practices. The findings of the study highlight that a north-south building orientation significantly reduces heat absorption, while the integration of cross-ventilation strategies enhances natural airflow and thermal comfort. Spatial zoning into public, semi-public, private, and service areas allows for organized layouts and promotes social interaction among residents. Sustainability is reinforced through the application of green architectural technologies, including the use of green concrete, lightweight steel frameworks, solar energy panels, as well as integrated waste-water management systems that separate black water and grey water. Landscaping elements, both softscape and hardscape, are utilized to enhance aesthetics while supporting ecological balance and rainwater absorption. This design proposal contributes to the broader discourse of sustainable tropical housing and may serve as a replicable model for future lecturer housing projects in similar regional contexts. It emphasizes the importance of environmentally responsive, cost-efficient, and socially supportive residential architecture.

This study aims to determine the influence of factors in the fraud hexagon theory on the potential for fraud, which is described through the variables of compensation suitability, competence, organizational culture, effectiveness of internal control systems, and leadership style. Fraud hexagon theory is a development of the fraud triangle and fraud diamond theories, which emphasize six main elements that cause fraud, namely pressure, opportunity, rationalization, capability, arrogance, and collusion. This theory is relevant to describe various internal factors that can encourage fraudulent behavior, especially in the public sector. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis methods and is processed using SPSS software version 30. The population in this study are apparatus or village employees who work throughout the Mojoroto District, Kediri City. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling method, with predetermined criteria. The selection process resulted in 42 respondents, consisting of the Village Head, Village Secretary, and Village Treasurer, who play important roles in administrative and financial management at the village level. Data were collected through closed-ended questionnaires distributed directly to respondents and analyzed to determine the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The analysis results showed that partially, only the effectiveness of the internal control system and leadership style significantly influenced the potential for fraud. This indicates that strengthening the internal control system and transparent and accountable leadership can minimize fraudulent activities. Meanwhile, the variables of compensation suitability, competence, organizational culture, and unethical behavior did not show significant effects individually. However, simultaneously, all of these variables were proven to significantly influence the potential for fraud. Thus, fraud prevention must be carried out holistically by considering all aspects contained in the fraud hexagon theory.

This study aims to analyze the influence of capital structure, company size, and liquidity on the financial performance of manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period. The food and beverage industry is one of the sectors that has a significant contribution to national economic growth, so understanding the factors that affect its financial performance is crucial. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques to test the relationships between variables. The data used comes from the annual financial statements of companies that are included in the sub-sector for the past five years. The results of the study show that partially, the capital structure has a significant influence on the company's financial performance, which is shown by a calculated t-value of 6.414 and a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). These findings indicate that the more optimal the capital structure managed by the company, the better its financial performance. On the other hand, company size and liquidity do not show a significant influence on financial performance. The company size has a t-value of -1.493 with a significance of 0.140 (> 0.05), while liquidity has a t-value of 0.765 with a significance of 0.447 (> 0.05). However, simultaneously, these three independent variables together have a significant effect on financial performance, as shown by a calculated F-value of 19,527 and a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). The results of this study provide important implications for company management to pay more attention to the management of capital structure, as it is the dominant factor in influencing financial performance. Optimizing capital structure can be used as a strategy to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of the company in the midst of the dynamics of the food and beverage industry.
