English, as an international language, plays a significant role in education, especially in preparing students to face global challenges. However, the teaching of English in rural schools still faces several obstacles that affect the effectiveness of learning. This study aims to identify and analyze the challenges faced by English teachers at MTs Rubath Naqsyabandiyah, a school in a rural area. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is collected through classroom observation and in-depth interviews with English teachers. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show several main challenges in teaching English, including low student interest in the subject, lack of support from parents and the surrounding community, teachers' perceived low quality, and high administrative and curriculum burdens. Students in rural areas often fail to see the relevance of English learning to their everyday lives, which reduces their motivation to learn. Additionally, the lack of support from parents worsens the challenges that teachers face in teaching English in these schools. To address these challenges, the study provides several recommendations aimed at improving the effectiveness of English teaching in rural schools. First, increasing student interest by developing fun and relevant teaching methods that connect English to daily activities, local culture, and regional potential. Second, involving parents in supporting their children's English language learning.

Adolescence is often regarded as a vulnerable and critical period, marked by the transition from childhood to adulthood. In today’s context, this phase is frequently described as a time of crisis due to the lack of proper guidance during personality formation. Teenagers require support and direction, particularly from their parents, to help navigate this stage. The family plays a crucial role in shaping behavior and is considered the primary institution responsible for preventing and addressing juvenile delinquency. A harmonious family life often reflects in the child’s behavior and interaction with the environment. When parents are actively involved in guiding and mentoring their children, adolescents are more likely to become positive role models. Deviant behavior among teenagers has become a pressing issue, especially considering that the youth are regarded as future assets for the nation, state, and religion. This study aims to: (1) Identify the factors that cause deviant behavior among teenagers in Kendayakan Village, Serang District; and (2) Explore the efforts made by parents to address such behavior. A qualitative research method with a case study approach was employed. Data were collected using three techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive methods. The findings reveal that deviant behavior among teenagers in Kendayakan Village is influenced by two main factors: (a) environmental factors, such as peer influence and lack of positive role models, and (b) individual factors, including emotional instability and lack of self-control. Meanwhile, the efforts made by parents include providing supervision, instilling discipline, offering advice and religious education, and collaborating with schools and community leaders. These efforts highlight the critical role of parental intervention in preventing and addressing adolescent deviance.

Intensive social media use has become an ingrained phenomenon in the daily lives of college students. Technological developments and high accessibility to digital platforms cause students to spend a significant amount of time interacting virtually. This condition has various psychological implications, one of which is increased anxiety levels. This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of social media use and anxiety levels in college students. The method used was a quantitative approach with a correlational design through a survey distributed to a number of student respondents from various study programs. The research instruments included a questionnaire regarding the frequency of social media use and a validated anxiety scale. The results showed a significant relationship between the intensity of social media use and students' anxiety levels. The higher the frequency of social media use, the greater the tendency for students to experience anxiety. Several factors that trigger anxiety include social comparison with other users, the need for validation through the number of "likes" and comments, and the pressure to project an ideal self-image online. Furthermore, most students expressed feelings of anxiety or restlessness when not accessing social media for a certain period of time, indicating psychological dependence. These findings indicate that social media has a significant influence on students' psychological conditions, particularly in triggering anxiety. Therefore, it is crucial for higher education institutions, educators, and parents to provide education on healthy and balanced social media use. Preventive and promotive interventions to support student mental health are essential to mitigate the negative impacts of social media and foster wiser digital behavior in today's technological era.

Early marriage remains a social issue occurring in various regions, including Golo Kondeng Village, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. This study aims to examine the form of legal protection afforded to the status of children born from early marriages conducted based on local customary law. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, collecting data through in-depth interviews with community leaders, parents, and relevant village authorities. The findings indicate that early marriage practices in Golo Kondeng Village are influenced by several factors, including cultural values, family economic conditions, and the community’s level of education. Although existing laws—such as Law Number 16 of 2019, which amends Law Number 1 of 1974 on Marriage by establishing the minimum marriage age at 19 for both men and women, and Law Number 35 of 2014 on Child Protection—clearly regulate the legal age for marriage, the reality shows that early marriages continue to occur, often neglecting the fulfillment of children’s rights. The current legal protections are not yet fully effective in securing the legal status of these children, both in terms of civil and social rights. Based on these findings, this study recommends enhancing legal education and outreach to the community regarding marriage laws and children's rights. In addition, the active involvement of traditional leaders and local government is considered essential in addressing the issue of early marriage. It is hoped that through these efforts, children born from early marriages can receive adequate legal protection and have their rights fully fulfilled.

The moral crisis and low religious understanding among the younger generation pose a major challenge in shaping national character based on Islamic values. This phenomenon is increasingly complex amidst the rapid flow of globalization and technological advances that have led to individualistic, materialistic lifestyles far from the principles of Islamic law. In this context, religious education plays a central role as a moral and spiritual bulwark. This study aims to determine the role of Madrasah Diniyah (Islamic religious schools) in improving the mastery of Islamic religious knowledge and shaping the Islamic personality (syakhsiyah Islamiyyah) of students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation at one of the Madrasah diniyah. The focus of the study is directed at the learning process covering the Qur'an, aqidah, fiqh, and morals, and how this process contributes to the formation of Islamic character in students. The results show that Madrasah Diniyah plays a strategic and significant role in shaping a generation that not only understands religious knowledge but is also able to implement Islamic values in everyday life. This success is supported by several factors, including the quality of competent and exemplary teachers, a structured and contextual curriculum, and good interpersonal relationships between teachers and students. Furthermore, support from parents and the surrounding community is also crucial in strengthening the internalization of Islamic values. Thus, Islamic schools (madrasah diniyah) can function as a vital partner in the Islamic education system, developing a generation with character, noble morals, and a commitment to Islamic teachings from an early age. These findings reinforce the urgency of strengthening religious educational institutions amidst the challenges of the times.

Divorce has a significant impact on a child's psychological and social development, particularly in the aspect of determining custody rights, which should prioritize the principle of the child's best interests. This study aims to analyze the balance between Islamic legal norms as stipulated in the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) and positive law in Indonesia, in cases where children under the age of 12 express a desire to live with their father after the divorce. The research approach used is a juridical-normative with a qualitative analysis method that focuses on a literature review of laws and regulations such as the KHI, the Marriage Law, the Child Protection Law, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as relevant legal and jurisprudential literature. The results of the study indicate that although normatively the KHI prioritizes the mother as the caregiver of children under 12 years old, there is room for flexibility that allows the court to consider the child's wishes if it better ensures the child's welfare and safety. This approach is supported by the principle of maslahah mursalah in Islamic law, which allows adjustments for the benefit of the child. The main challenges in its implementation include the minimal involvement of professionals such as child psychologists in the evaluation process, the existence of gender stereotypes that influence judges' decisions, and emotional conflicts between parents that often override the interests of the child. Therefore, this study recommends that judicial institutions actively involve psychologists and mediators in custody proceedings, improve training for judges in understanding the psychosocial dynamics of children, and update legal guidelines so that children's wishes can be assessed objectively. Furthermore, education to the wider public about the importance of gender non-discrimination in child care is also needed so that custody decisions truly reflect the principles of comprehensive child protection and welfare.

Hypertension is a chronic condition characterized by blood pressure exceeding the normal range, specifically 140/90 mmHg. One of the primary contributors to hypertension is insufficient potassium intake. Studies suggest that foods rich in potassium, such as pumpkin, can help regulate blood pressure. Pumpkin is an excellent source of potassium and dietary fiber, which are beneficial in managing hypertension. This health education program aimed to provide the Cot Paya community with knowledge about how pumpkin pudding can be used as a natural remedy to lower blood pressure. The method employed in this activity included a lecture followed by a question-and-answer session, allowing for an interactive exchange of information. The intervention focused on educating families and elderly individuals about the causes of hypertension, its impact on health, and the potential benefits of incorporating pumpkin pudding into their diet. The response from the Cot Paya community was positive, with many participants showing keen interest in the topic. Several parents and elderly residents actively engaged by asking questions related to hypertension and its management. The educational session not only improved awareness about hypertension but also provided practical knowledge on using pumpkin pudding as a dietary tool for managing high blood pressure. By the end of the session, participants demonstrated a better understanding of hypertension, its prevention, and the role of potassium-rich foods like pumpkin in reducing blood pressure. The activity was well-received and laid the foundation for continued health education within the community, particularly in promoting natural dietary interventions to prevent and manage hypertension.

The transition of children from early childhood education to elementary school (SD) is a critical phase in their psychological and academic development. During this phase, children face significant challenges, including changes to a more structured learning environment and increasing academic demands. At SDN 055991 in Langkat Regency, this phenomenon is reflected in the difficulties experienced by some students, particularly with basic skills such as reading, writing, and arithmetic, as well as with socializing with peers. These difficulties can impact children's long-term academic and social development. This study aims to identify the key factors influencing children's learning readiness during this transition period, utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Specifically, this study uses Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and Decision Trees as tools to analyze the data obtained. The use of this data-driven approach allows for a more in-depth analysis of the complex patterns and relationships between various variables that influence children's learning readiness, such as family factors, social environment, and students' basic skills. This study also references various previous studies demonstrating the effectiveness of backpropagation and Deep Learning algorithms in the context of education and student performance prediction. This approach is expected to provide more precise solutions for understanding children's learning readiness and provide a more accurate picture of the factors contributing to difficulties experienced by students in the transition to elementary school. A 23-month-old female patient presented with red, itchy bumps, accompanied by intense itching, which caused the skin to peel from scratching. These symptoms began less than a month before the visit and worsened one week before seeking treatment. The fluid-filled bumps burst due to scratching, causing sores and peeling skin. The itching was constant and tended to worsen at night. The use of moisturizer by the patient's mother provided little relief. The onset of these symptoms coincided with a visit from the patient's mother's younger brother, a student at the Islamic boarding school (Santri), who was staying at the patient's home during the holidays. Less than a month later, similar symptoms began to be felt by the patient, her siblings, and both parents. The diagnosis was based on primary data obtained through a history taking with the patient's mother, a direct physical examination during a home visit, and completion of the family file and the patient's medical records. The patient, suspected of having scabies, was treated with 5% permethrin cream, applied as directed, and cetirizine to reduce the itching. Case assessments are conducted holistically, assessing the initial condition, process, and final outcome of each visit both quantitatively and qualitatively. Interventions include not only treatment but also comprehensive family education. This education includes an explanation of the etiology and transmission of scabies, the importance of maintaining personal and environmental hygiene, and potential complications such as secondary skin infections due to scratching. The goal of this education is to improve patient and family compliance with therapy, prevent reinfection, and break the chain of disease transmission in the home environment. This approach is expected to not only reassure the patient but also raise family awareness of the importance of clean and healthy living practices as a long-term preventative measure.

Growth and development disorders in children can have a significant impact on their overall well-being, manifesting in various forms such as delays in fine and gross motor development, speech and hearing impairments, and even intellectual disabilities. Early detection of these issues is crucial for initiating timely interventions that can improve the child's quality of life. With technological advancements, various applications have emerged, providing an accessible means for parents to independently monitor their children's growth and development. One such tool is the PrimaKu application, which enables parents to track and assess their children's growth and developmental milestones at home. The aim of this service is to empower parents by enhancing their understanding and knowledge regarding the monitoring of their children's development, thereby promoting early detection of potential growth issues. The approach utilized in this service involves providing counseling on child growth and development, alongside demonstrations on how to use the PrimaKu application effectively. A survey conducted during the service activities revealed that the majority of participants (70%) had limited knowledge about child development, while 20% demonstrated adequate knowledge, and only 10% exhibited good knowledge. These findings indicate a significant gap in parents' awareness of child development. As a result, it is recommended that ongoing educational efforts be made at posyandu centers to further educate parents about child development. Introducing the PrimaKu application at these centers could also facilitate better tracking of children's growth and developmental progress, as the app serves as a useful tool for both parents and healthcare providers in ensuring that children meet important developmental milestones. The continuous integration of technology, such as the PrimaKu app, into child healthcare services could significantly contribute to improving early intervention practices and overall child development outcomes.

Bullying is a recurring issue and has become a widespread concern, particularly among children and adolescents in school environments. Schools, which should ideally be safe spaces for learning, building friendships, and experiencing personal growth, often turn into places of fear and psychological distress for some students. This is largely due to the frequent violation of human rights (HR) that often goes unaddressed or is underestimated. Bullying can take many forms, including verbal, psychological, physical abuse, and increasingly, cyberbullying. Each of these forms can cause serious harm not only to the victims—who may suffer from emotional and mental trauma—but also to the perpetrators, who may experience long-term psychological consequences and develop deviant or aggressive behavior patterns. In Indonesia, bullying remains a significant issue and a major concern in the education sector. Nearly every school has faced incidents of bullying in one form or another. Cyberbullying, in particular, is harder to monitor and control since it often occurs outside the school’s jurisdiction and is carried out through social media platforms. Efforts to tackle bullying must go beyond merely protecting and supporting the victims. A comprehensive approach is necessary, one that also focuses on preventive education. Students, teachers, and parents must be consistently educated on the negative impacts of bullying, the importance of empathy, and a deeper understanding of human rights. Moreover, strict and clear sanctions must be imposed on perpetrators as a form of legal enforcement and deterrence. With a holistic strategy that involves all elements of the school and the wider community, it is hoped that educational institutions can truly become safe, inclusive, and supportive environments. Such conditions are essential for fostering not only academic growth but also the psychological well-being and character development of the nation's children.

In addition to the main aspects of teacher competency, the study also emphasizes the importance of leadership and institutional support in the effective implementation of policies. The school leadership plays a crucial role in creating a conducive environment for professional development, fostering a culture of collaboration among teachers, and ensuring the implementation of competency-based assessments. It was found that the active involvement of the principal in monitoring and providing feedback to teachers significantly contributes to the continuous improvement of teaching practices. The study also highlights the importance of aligning teacher competency development with the school's educational goals and objectives. While some teachers have demonstrated significant improvement in their teaching methods and student engagement, others still require more support to fully integrate the competencies into their daily practices. The continuous professional development of teachers is therefore vital to ensure that the competencies are not only understood but also consistently applied in the classroom. Moreover, the study recognizes the critical role of community and parental involvement in enhancing the quality of education. Collaboration between the school, parents, and the local community can create a more supportive learning environment, ensuring that students receive the necessary resources and encouragement both at school and at home. In conclusion, the research suggests that while the implementation of teacher competency policies at SDN 2 Lubuk Seberuk has shown positive results, the process should be supported with more training opportunities, resource allocation, and consistent monitoring to overcome existing challenges.

Creativity is the fundamental trait a teacher has to have.  Creative teachers can be recognized by their capacity to use several approaches and modify instructional methods to fit other learning environments.  This study intends to investigate the imaginative techniques used by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers to inspire students' enthusiasm in memorizing short surahs at the elementary school level, also to know the supporting factors of it.  To capture the lived experiences of participants, a qualitative research design using a phenomenological method was applied.  In-depth interviews with Islamic Religious Education teachers, three students, and two parents yielded primary data.  These interviews aimed to collect ideas on the teachers' inventiveness in creating interesting memorizing exercises, their strategies for inspiring pupils, and the obstacles they face. The results show that students' motivation is much improved by the regular application of the muraja'ah (revision) technique in weekly memorization exercises.  Encouraging students' desire to memorize brief surahs was the inventiveness of PAI teachers.  The study also emphasizes, therefore, that the effectiveness of these memorization exercises at SDN Gulun 3 is significantly influenced by parental support and good rivalry among students.  These elements working together produce a synergistic environment that motivates pupils to be more dedicated and eager in learning brief surahs. Keywords: Creativity, Islamic Religious Education (PAI), Muraja’ah Method.

This study aims to analyze the ability of students at SMPN 7 Cempaga to read the Qur'an. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of 10 seventh-grade students, Islamic Education teachers, the Deputy Head of Student Affairs, and the Principal. The results of the study indicate that the absence of a program to encourage Quran reading at school, limited time for religious education, and a lack of support and guidance from parents are the main factors contributing to the students' low ability to read the Quran. Additionally, limited facilities such as the availability of Quran manuscripts at home and an unsupportive social environment further exacerbate the situation. These findings emphasize the need for collaboration between schools, families, and the community in fostering sustainable Quran reading habits, through the implementation of special programs at school, enhancing parental involvement, and providing adequate learning facilities. With collective efforts, it is hoped that students' Quran reading skills will develop optimally and support character development and the quality of religious education at SMPN 7 Cempaga.
