Hypertension is often referred to as "The Silent Killer" because generally sufferers are not aware that they have high blood pressure, and only find out about it after complications occur. The aim of this research is to find out what risk factors influence increased blood pressure in the elderly at UPTmPSTW Banyuwangi.. This research was conducted using a quantitative research approach through surveys and primary data collection. The sample population consists of elderly people aged 60 years and over.. The results of the Chi Square analysis test for the three factors obtained a p-value for each factor, namely the BMI factor (nBody Mass Index) with a value of p=n0.018, the family history factor with a value of p=n0.008, the physical activity factor with a value of p=n0.014. it can be concluded that all three factors have a relationship with hypertension and the most dominant factor is BMI (Body Mass Index) with a value (nb/regression coefficient) of 0.153. The BMI factor (nBody Mass Index) appears as the most dominant factor contributing to the incidence of hypertension in the elderly. Therefore, special attention must be given to weight management and diet in the elderly as an effective preventive measure.

Old age is said to be the final stage of development in the human life cycle which experiences various health problems and is at high risk of dangerous diseases. Health problems that occur in the elderly in general are a decrease in organ function, changes in lifestyle, diet and physical activity which are often the main factors in degenerative diseases including hypertension which disrupts blood flow. This hypertension often occurs in the elderly where the blood pressure is at the upper limit ( Systole) is more than 140 mmHg and lower limit blood pressure (diastole) is more than 90 mmHg. One non-pharmacological treatment that can improve the flow of oxygen in the blood is laughter therapy. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of laughter therapy using comedy videos on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension at the Tiban Baru Community Health Center, Batam City. The Batam City Health Service noted that hypertension occurs more frequently in elderly people aged 60-70 years and over with the highest number being 9,282 people at the Tiban Baru Community Health Center, Batam City. Hypertension, often called the "silent killer," is a leading non-communicable disease contributing to high mortality and morbidity, particularly in the elderly. As individuals age, peripheral blood vessel elasticity decreases, increasing vascular resistance and leading to systolic hypertension, commonly seen in older adults. Hypertension requires long-term treatment, which can result in non-compliance among elderly patients. Family support plays a crucial role in assisting and encouraging adherence to treatment regimens. This quantitative correlation study, with a cross-sectional approach, aimed to examine the relationship between emotional family support and treatment compliance in elderly hypertensive patients. The study was conducted at the Sei Agul Health Center, with a sample size of 65 elderly individuals selected using the Slovin formula and purposive sampling technique in October 2023. The Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8) was used to measure treatment compliance, while the emotional support instrument was developed by the researcher. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test, showing a significant relationship between emotional family support and treatment compliance (p-value < 0.05). The findings conclude that emotional support from family positively influences the compliance of elderly patients undergoing hypertension treatment at the Sei Agul Health Center. Health workers are encouraged to involve families in supporting hypertensive patients to enhance treatment outcomes.

Papilloedema is a disease that refers to swelling of the optic disc due to increased intracranial pressure (ICP). The etiology of papilledema is things that increase intracranial pressure. Idiopathic intracranial hypertension can cause increased intracranial pressure. Increased intracranial pressure can be seen in clinical and radiological manifestations such as headaches and decreased cerebral blood flow. Management for papilledema is aimed at addressing the causes of increased ICP. In cases of masses, surgical management may be indicated. the term idiopathic intracranial hypertension was used, and management of the patient's symptoms was with acetazolamide and weight loss. Surgical procedures such as optic nerve sheath fenestration are considered when vision is considered to be seriously compromised. Ventriculoperitoneal and lumboperitoneal shunts are other surgical interventions that can reduce ICP by draining CSF.
