Indonesia faces various nutritional problems, one of which is central obesity. This condition occurs due to excessive energy intake that surpasses the amount of energy used for metabolism and daily activities. The excess energy is stored as fat tissue, which eventually leads to weight gain and increases the risk of various metabolic diseases. This study aims to examine the risk factors for central obesity in the community at Mon Geudong Public Health Center, Lhokseumawe City. This study employs a descriptive observational method with a cross-sectional survey design. The population consists of 1,121 individuals, and the sample was obtained using a non-probability sampling technique with accidental sampling, resulting in a total of 100 respondents. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and waist circumference measurements using a measuring tape. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis to examine the distribution of respondent characteristics. The results indicate that the most affected age group is 56–65 years (49.0%). Based on gender, more women (80.0%) experience central obesity compared to men (20.0%). The majority of respondents are unemployed, possess good knowledge levels, and 69.0% have a family history of central obesity. The study concludes that the primary risk factors for central obesity include age, gender, occupation, and family history. However, knowledge level is not considered a risk factor for central obesity. This research is expected to serve as a basis for central obesity prevention efforts through education and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle in the community.

This study aims to discuss the implementation of a democratic system within the presidential institution using a literature study approach. The findings and discussions in this research explain an event analyzed by the researcher based on previous literature studies that have been examined by earlier scholars. The results of this study indicate that Indonesia, as a constitutional state, implements a clear division of power among state institutions to ensure stability in governance. This principle of the rule of law is not only applied in Indonesia but is also a widely accepted concept in many countries worldwide. The establishment of state institutions is based on legitimate authority as stipulated by law, with the President holding a strategic role as the head of state, as regulated in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. This study concludes that to maintain a democratic system of governance, a well-structured administrative framework is necessary, emphasizing government accountability. This ensures that every policy and action taken is always based on legal principles and carried out transparently and responsibly.

This study aims to examine the use of formal and informal language in communication in the Islamic Student Association (HMI) FIS Unimed, as well as the factors that influence and its impact. With a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained through in-depth interviews with active members. The findings of the study indicate that formal language is chosen in meetings and official events to create a professional atmosphere, while informal language is more often used in daily interactions to strengthen relationships between members. The choice of language type is influenced by the context of the situation, relationships between individuals, and communication goals. However, there are challenges for some members who have difficulty distinguishing when to use formal language in official events and when to use informal language in casual situations. The use of balanced formal and informal language is very important to achieve effective communication and strengthen solidarity among members. Therefore, it is recommended that there be further socialization and mentoring so that members can better understand and apply the communication norms that apply in the organization.     Keywords:

This study investigates the interplay between linguistic relativity and cultural schemata, examining how language encodes culturally salient concepts and shapes cognitive frameworks across diverse communities. Through ethnographic and psycholinguistic approaches, the study collects data from 12 different language communities with varied cultural backgrounds. Cross-linguistic and cross-cultural analyses reveal significant correlations between linguistic structures—such as grammatical categories, lexical distinctions, and metaphorical expressions—and culturally specific schemata in spatial, temporal, and social domains. Perception and cognitive reasoning experiments were conducted with 450 participants to test linguistic relativity hypotheses in cultural contexts. Quantitative and qualitative findings demonstrate that linguistic patterns both reflect and reinforce cultural norms, influencing perception and cognitive strategies. Analysis of cultural text corpora shows how linguistic categories serve as vehicles for internalizing cultural values and worldviews. Specifically, the study finds systematic variations in spatial information processing, time conceptualization, and social event interpretation that correlate with language features of respective communities. These results underscore the co-constitutive relationship between language and culture in shaping human thought, providing important implications for cross-cultural education, intercultural communication, and cognitive theory.

Land purchase transactions in Indonesia, which often involve customary practices and are governed by law, require a written agreement, such as a Sale and Purchase Agreement (PPJB), to prevent conflicts. The PPJB binds both parties and is subject to civil law. In case of a breach of contract, the agreement may be canceled through the court. A breach of contract accompanied by fraud can result in criminal liability, and the affected party may file a civil lawsuit to annul the transaction. This study aims to (1) examine the legal consequences for the parties following the cancellation of a sale and purchase agreement for land rights by the court due to breach of contract; and (2) explore the legal protection available in the cancellation of such agreements in Indonesia. The research method employs a normative legal approach with a literature review, analyzing relevant laws, theories, and court decisions through primary and secondary legal materials. The analysis is qualitative, linking court decisions to the issues addressed in the study. The findings indicate that, in contract law, particularly in land sales, certain principles and conditions govern the validity of agreements. In the event of a breach of contract, the injured party may seek to annul the agreement in court if subjective (agreement, capacity) or objective (valid object and cause) requirements are not met. Cancellation of the agreement restores the parties to their original positions, allowing for the return of any goods exchanged. A breach of contract, where one party fails to fulfill its obligations, may lead to cancellation and compensation. Contract law provides legal protection to the injured party, including the right to demand performance, annulment, and compensation as outlined in the Civil Code.

Finding out about the attempts to conserve Gong Sibunguik in Kebun Durian Village, Gunung Sahilan District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, is the aim of the author's research.  The three components of preservation are (1) protection, (2) development, and (3) exploitation, according to Sedyawati (2008: 152).  Descriptive analysis using a qualitative approach is the strategy employed in this study.  In this study, observational data collecting, interviews, and documentation were employed as data gathering methods. The study's findings indicate that measures to prevent the loss or destruction of cultural objects are part of its protection efforts.  This can take the shape of records that serve as inspiration and a source of reference while digesting the performing arts.  Increasing the number of musical instruments and Gong Sibunguik musician groups is one way to quantify this development endeavor.  Efforts to improve the quality of Gong Sibunguik art are made by producing new music while preserving the traditional aspects of the art form. The purpose of this invention is to support traditional arts.  Efforts to use it, namely Gong Sibunguik, are still made today, which is the same as modern arts, since Gong Sibunguik is an art form that is required for this event; without it, the event cannot take place as it does not adhere to local cultural standards.  Furthermore, in Kebun Durian Village, Gong Sibunguik is typically present for circumcision ceremonies, marriages, greeting niniak mamak, and ba inai-inai.  Gong sibunguik is typically done before the party's preparation (pre-party) at wedding celebrations.

As a literary genre with its own appeal, short stories (qishshah qashirah) and poetry (shi'r) offer a unique and beneficial reading experience for students. However, learning to read Arabic literary texts often presents various challenges. This study aims to analyze in depth the reading skills of Arabic literary texts, specifically short stories and poetry, at Madrasah Aliyah. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, which aims to observe and describe events, phenomena, attitudes, social activities, perceptions, beliefs, and thoughts of individuals or groups. Data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique follows the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that students' ability to read Arabic literary texts, both short stories and poetry, remains relatively low. Several internal and external factors influence this ability, including limited vocabulary (mufradat), which causes students to struggle in understanding texts, frequently pause, guess word meanings, or even give up entirely. Additionally, weak proficiency in Arabic grammar (nahwu and sharaf) further hinders their comprehension of sentence structures in literary texts. To address these challenges, three strategies can be implemented by educators to enhance students' reading skills: utilizing diverse learning media, selecting engaging and relevant themes, and providing a variety of reading resources.

As the 2024 presidential election approaches, mass media widely disseminate information about presidential and vice-presidential candidates. The registration period, from October 19 to 25, 2023, became a major political event that attracted extensive media attention. Ideally, media outlets should report political events independently, without external influence. However, Sindonews.com shows signs of organizational influence in its coverage of the candidate registration process. This study examines the factors shaping news coverage using the Media Content Hierarchy Theory by Shoemaker & Reese (1996), which identifies five levels of influence: individual, media routines, organizational, extramedia, and ideological. Through a qualitative case study method, employing in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation, the findings reveal that organizational influence is the dominant factor affecting Sindonews.com's reporting. This is largely due to its affiliation with Harry Tanoesoedibjo, who owns Sindonews.com and leads Partai Perindo, a party that supported Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD in the 2024 election. Consequently, the media coverage reflected this political alignment, underscoring how ownership and political affiliations impact journalistic objectivity in Indonesia’s digital news landscape.

This study aims to assess how financial performance influences stock returns amid political uncertainty, specifically during the 2024 general election in Indonesia. The focus is on understanding the impact of various financial performance indicators on the stock returns of property and real estate firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. A sample of 64 companies was observed during two critical periods: the pre-election period in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the post-election period in the second quarter of 2024. To analyze the data, the study employed an event study approach, utilizing multiple regression analysis to identify the relationship between financial performance and stock returns, and paired sample t-tests to compare pre- and post-election performance. The findings revealed that prior to the election, the variables Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Revenue Growth did not significantly affect the stock returns of property and real estate companies. However, after the election, only ROA was found to have a significant impact on stock returns, while DER and Revenue Growth continued to show no effect. A comparative analysis of the two periods indicated no significant differences in the financial performance variables (ROA, DER, and Revenue Growth) between the pre- and post-election periods, yet a clear shift in stock returns was observed. This study contributes to the literature by offering a fresh perspective on how political uncertainty affects stock returns, using the framework of signaling theory, trade-off theory, and market efficiency theory to interpret the results.

Law Number 5 of 1960 concerning the Basic Agrarian Principles Article 5 states that customary law in the context of land sale and purchase adheres to the principles of clarity and cash payment. Therefore, the drafting of a land sale and purchase deed is not mandatory to require full payment as long as both parties agree. However, this often leads to legal issues later, including cases where the seller commits a breach of contract (default). For this reason, the author conducted this study with the following research questions: 1. What are the legal consequences of the sale and purchase deed concerning default in land sale and purchase transactions carried out by the buyer? 2. How is the legal protection for the seller in the event of a default in a land sale and purchase transaction? The theories used to address these research questions are, first, the theory of agreements, and second, the theory of legal protection. This study employs normative legal research. The research approaches used include a legislative approach and a case approach. The legal material collection technique involves identifying and inventorying positive legal regulations, books, journals, and other legal material sources. Legal material analysis techniques are conducted through grammatical interpretation and legal construction methods. The research findings indicate that land sale and purchase transactions under the principles of clarity and cash payment allow for the drafting of sale and purchase deeds even though the transaction has not been fully paid by the buyer. This creates an opportunity for the seller to commit a breach of contract in such transactions, revealing a lack of preventive legal protection for the buyer. The legal consequence of the sale and purchase deed is that it lacks legal force if it can be proven that a breach of contract occurred during its drafting.

Preoperative anxiety is a common issue that can affect both the physical and psychological condition of patients before undergoing surgery. One non-pharmacological intervention that can be applied to reduce anxiety is the five-finger hypnosis therapy.Evaluating the effectiveness of five-finger hypnosis therapy in reducing anxiety levels in preoperative patients at Siloam Silampari Hospital, Lubuklinggau.Using a case study approach with the application of evidence-based nursing practice in nursing care for three preoperative patients experiencing anxiety. Data were collected through nursing assessments and measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) to determine anxiety levels. The intervention was carried out over three days following standard operating procedures (SOP).The study results indicate that five-finger hypnosis therapy is effective in reducing anxiety levels in preoperative patients. The HARS scores gradually decreased, with all patients improving from severe anxiety to mild anxiety and eventually showing no clinically significant anxiety by the third day of the intervention. A more significant impact was observed after the second and third days of intervention, suggesting that this therapy is more effective when applied repeatedly and consistently.

This community service was carried out in Pattongko Village, Central Sinjai District, by considering the location's vulnerability to natural disasters such as landslides and tornadoes. The high rainfall in the area is one of the leading causes of frequent natural disasters, compounded by the mountainous and hilly topography. These factors make the community highly susceptible to disasters that result in significant material and immaterial losses. The primary aim of this service activity was to build awareness and strengthen the community's disaster response capabilities, enabling the creation of a disaster-resilient village. The activity was conducted through socialization efforts involving various stakeholders, including the Pattongko village community, the village government, local youth groups, and the Sinjai Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), which served as the lead agency in disaster response in the region. Despite being a one-day event, the activity was expected to provide essential disaster education and training for the local population, enhancing their knowledge of disaster preparedness and response. By doing so, the initiative aimed to minimize the potential victims and the scale of losses caused by natural disasters in the future. This activity also supported broader government programs aimed at forming Disaster Resilient Villages. In the future, the program will be extended with further activities, such as establishing community disaster response teams, organizing disaster simulations, and strengthening disaster management protocols within the village. This long-term plan will ensure that the community remains well-prepared for any potential disaster events

MotoGP is an international motorcycle racing event that attracts global attention and impacts various sectors, including the logistics sector. One important aspect of the MotoGP event is temporary imports, such as motorcycles, spare parts, and supporting equipment. This study aims to explore how to handle temporary imports using ATA Carnet in MotoGP cargo imports and identify challenges and solutions during the MotoGP cargo handling process. The method used is qualitative, with primary data obtained through observations and interviews, and secondary data from written sources, films, images, and monumental works. The data analysis techniques applied include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, with data validity tested using triangulation techniques and sources. The study results show that handling MotoGP cargo with temporary import status differs from general cargo, as it involves customs procedures and requires special documents such as ATA Carnet, Customs Notification of Special Economic Zones (PPKEK), and Temporary Import Permits for exemption from entry fees. The handling process must be performed quickly to save time, given the limited period for temporary imports before re-export. However, Customs personnel still face challenges related to the attachment of customs seals, so the company needs to evaluate the recruitment and training processes of workers. The solution is coordination between PT. Angkasa Pura Logistics and Customs for the addition of officers.

History often repeats itself in different contexts, as seen in the political dynamics of Indonesia in 2024, which are similar to the events of 1998. Although it has not yet reached the escalation of reforms, political tensions, polarization of society, and dissatisfaction with the government are the main issues. The fall in the Democracy Index reflects a weakening of freedom of opinion, human rights, and political participation. The wave of massive demonstrations against the revision of the 2024 Pilkada law showed resistance from various elements of society, including students, workers, artists, and public figures. Demonstrators demanded that the DPR comply with Constitutional Court decision Number 60/PUU-XXII/2024 regarding the threshold for the nomination of regional heads and Constitutional Court decision Number 70/PUU-XXII / 2024 regarding the age limit for candidates for regional heads. This research is a literature study with qualitative methods and a normative legal approach, including statutory, case, and conceptual analysis. The Data was obtained through the analysis of relevant legal and regulatory documents, as well as public opinion published in online media. This study provides an overview of the current challenges of Indonesian democracy as well as the implications of legal decisions on national political dynamics.
