Interpersonal communication is a crucial aspect of human life, both within the family and in the community, as it serves as a means of providing motivation, support, and positive guidance. One social issue of considerable concern is alcohol dependence among adolescents, which can negatively impact their physical, mental, and social development. This study was conducted to determine how interpersonal communication between parents and adolescents in Lalang Village, Rana Mese District, East Manggarai Regency, plays a role in reducing alcohol dependence. Furthermore, this study also examined the strategies parents use to overcome barriers to interpersonal communication in an effort to prevent alcohol consumption among adolescents. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of parents and adolescents in Lalang Village. Analysis was conducted by examining the communication patterns that occur, the obstacles encountered, and their impact on adolescent behavior related to alcohol consumption. The results of the study indicate that interpersonal communication between parents and adolescents in reducing alcohol dependence is still not optimal. This is evident in the lack of time spent together between parents and adolescents, the low response of adolescents to messages delivered face-to-face, and the lack of understanding on the negative impacts of alcohol on health on both parties. Cultural factors and limited knowledge also hinder the effectiveness of interpersonal communication. In conclusion, effective interpersonal communication is essential for educating and guiding adolescents to reduce alcohol consumption. Efforts should include improving parental communication skills, strengthening family interactions, and raising public awareness of the dangers of alcohol. Educators and community leaders also play a crucial role in supporting the education process and preventing alcohol dependence among adolescents.

Adolescence is the stage where a child's puberty occurs before reaching adulthood, this is a process that every child must go through between the ages of 12 and 18. At this stage, children who are growing up generally experience several changes both physically, emotionally, and emotionally, becoming more sensitive to circumstances and desires or high curiosity about their environment. In conditions like this, the role of several parties and knowledge is very necessary to control and supervise without having to restrain so as to hinder the development of the teenager, these parties include parents, family, teachers, and the community. Based on this, it is felt necessary to carry out socialization and a direct approach to convey the importance of knowledge or science to fortify adolescent behavior so that a situation that exceeds the limit does not occur such as promiscuity, free sex and other negative influences that must be directly conveyed to the teenager. From this service, a report was made as a form of steps that have been taken as an effort to protect the generation with knowledge in the digital era for the future. In addition, in facing the increasingly rapidly developing digital era, teenagers are very vulnerable to the influence of social media and the flow of information that is so fast and unlimited. Easy access to various digital platforms can have positive impacts if used wisely, but it also has the potential to lead teens to negative content if not properly supported. Therefore, digital literacy is a crucial skill for teens to master, enabling them to select information, convey critical messages, and use technology responsibly.

Individuals who do not live with their parents or do not have a nuclear family are generally placed in social care institutions such as orphanages. Living outside the family environment causes orphaned adolescents to experience limitations in building emotional bonds that are usually obtained from interactions with family. The absence of strong emotional relationships can affect various aspects of adolescent psychology, one of which is self-acceptance. Adolescents living in orphanages often perceive themselves as different from adolescents raised in intact families. This feeling can impact the formation of self-concept, self-esteem, and how they view and accept themselves. This study aims to examine the level of self-acceptance of orphaned adolescents living in orphanages, identify factors that influence self-acceptance, and understand the role of self-acceptance in relation to other psychological variables. This study was conducted using a literature review method of various relevant previous research results. Based on the results of the literature review, it was found that self-acceptance of orphaned adolescents in orphanages is generally at a moderate to high level. Several key factors contributing to this self-acceptance include social support from the surrounding environment, self-esteem, optimism, and a positive self-concept. These factors are interrelated and play a crucial role in shaping the psychological resilience and mental health of adolescents in orphanages.   Keywords: self-acceptance , orphaned teenager, orphanage

This study aims to analyse the impact of e-report card implementation within the framework of digital transformation in educational services on parental satisfaction and involvement at the elementary school level. Employing a narrative literature review, the research synthesised 47 articles published between 2019 and 2025, retrieved from international and national academic databases such as Google Scholar, DOAJ, CORE, the Garuda Portal, and institutional repositories. Thematic analysis generated five core findings. First, e-report cards are identified as a determinant of parental satisfaction, showing a strong positive correlation with improved parental trust and transparency in assessment processes. Second, digital transformation functions as a catalyst that enhances parental engagement, with evidence of up to a threefold increase in participation. Third, the quality of systems and clarity of information play mediating roles, ensuring that digital tools contribute effectively to parental outcomes. Fourth, challenges related to the digital divide and levels of digital literacy moderate the effectiveness of implementation, often influencing disparities in outcomes across different socioeconomic contexts. Finally, the process of adaptation follows a gradual four-stage evolutionary model, highlighting how parents integrate digital platforms over time. Overall, the study confirms a significant positive relationship between e-report card implementation and parental satisfaction and involvement, while also recognising the influence of contextual factors such as infrastructure readiness and socioeconomic diversity. The findings contribute theoretically through the development of the Digital Parental Engagement Model and offer practical insights for formulating educational digitalisation policies that are responsive to district-level stakeholder needs.

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Nutritious Meal Program as a public service policy in enhancing the academic achievement of elementary school students in Wonopringgo District. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation across 19 educational institutions participating in the program. Findings reveal that the program has a significant positive impact on students’ nutritional status, learning motivation, and overall academic performance. Improvements were observed in student concentration, attendance, and classroom participation, indicating a direct link between adequate nutrition and cognitive development. Despite these positive outcomes, several challenges were identified. Issues such as delayed meal distribution, inconsistency in the quality and variety of menus, and limited coordination among stakeholders hinder the program’s optimal implementation. Furthermore, the engagement of parents and community members, while beneficial, was found to be uneven across schools, highlighting the need for stronger collaboration mechanisms. The study identifies three key factors that determine the success of the program: the quality of services provided, the managerial capacity of schools to coordinate and monitor implementation, and active participation from both parents and school committees. To address existing barriers, the research recommends enhancing cross-sectoral collaboration among government agencies, improving managerial competence at the school level, and establishing participatory evaluation systems. These measures would ensure program sustainability, responsiveness to local needs, and greater accountability. Overall, the Nutritious Meal Program demonstrates the potential of inclusive and collaborative public service policies in fostering both student well-being and academic achievement. It reflects a practical example of how government-community partnerships can contribute to creating a healthy, equitable, and sustainable educational ecosystem.

A parenting seminar on maternal and child mental health organized by KPM UI Bunga Bangsa Cirebon students in Pegagan Village is a form of community service aimed at raising awareness and understanding of the importance of mental health in parenting. The limited knowledge of mental health issues in rural communities, coupled with high levels of stress experienced by parents, often negatively impacts parenting practices. This has the potential to hinder optimal child development, both physically, psychologically, and socially. Therefore, this activity was designed with a participatory approach, where the community is not merely an object but is also involved from the beginning of the planning process. This process includes coordination with village officials, seminars, and monitoring and evaluation stages, so that the community feels ownership and plays an active role in the program. The seminar featured speakers from psychology and legal academics who explained the relationship between parental mental health and fulfilling legal obligations to protect children's rights. The material presented emphasized how parental stress and emotions can affect child development, as well as the importance of parents' ability to manage the pressures of everyday life. Participants gained an understanding of strategies for maintaining mental health, including good time management, building open communication within the family environment, and strengthening social support as an emotional support system. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' awareness of the importance of mental health not only as an individual need, but also as a moral, social, and legal responsibility in creating a healthy, safe, and resilient family environment. Therefore, this parenting seminar can be seen as an effective educational strategy, not only strengthening parents' capacity to raise children but also building sustainable local support networks for the well-being of families and communities.

This study aims to analyze the role of digital communication between parents and schools in improving the effectiveness of student attendance administration and scholarship management at SMA XYZ, and to identify factors influencing its implementation within a sustainable educational ecosystem. The research employed a narrative literature review approach with a comprehensive literature analysis from major academic databases, including Google Scholar and ProQuest Education Database, covering publications from 2010 to 2024. Data were collected through systematic searches using keyword combinations of digital communication, parent-school communication, educational technology, student attendance, scholarship administration, and family engagement, followed by thematic analysis to identify patterns and research gaps. Digital communication demonstrated high intensity (4.2/5 score) with WhatsApp as the dominant platform (65%). While 70% of parents increased their academic involvement, only 45% provided appropriate emotional support. Significant barriers included digital divide (30% infrastructure constraints), digital literacy gaps (25%), and boundary management issues (40% of teachers contacted outside working hours). Digital communication improved administrative transparency and real-time monitoring, though communication patterns remained predominantly unidirectional, with only 35% of parents providing active feedback. The study contributes to Digital Education Communication Theory by identifying paradoxes in digital parental engagement and confirming Digital Divide Theory in educational contexts. Findings expand Family Engagement Theory by revealing how real-time information access can create surveillance parenting behaviors that may be counterproductive to student well-being. Results indicate an urgent need for comprehensive digital communication policies, parent digital literacy programs, and infrastructure support to create an equitable and sustainable digital educational ecosystem that balances accessibility with professional boundaries.

The custom of sitting on the parent-parents is discussed in this journal by the residents of Ujung Gading Village, a mixed-ethnic community that includes both Mandailing and Minangkabau residents. This duduk induk-induk custom, which is typically referred to as markumpul hepeng (money collection), is a mutually supportive attitude and a custom that is practiced by community organizations to aid the host in paying for the wedding. This publication looks at or investigates ways to comprehend and research Minang culture in Ujung Gading overall. Particularly in the duduk induk-induk procedures, it can also serve as a source of information and research for the advancement of linguistic science in the study of the duduk induk-induk tradition and comprehend it from an Islamic standpoint. Using qualitative data analysis methods, information was gathered via literature reviews, interviews, and documentation. The study's findings demonstrate that the coaching provided by traditional leaders—namely, putir, ninik mamak, and datuk kinayah—took the form of discussion.

Aceh is currently experiencing a public health crisis, with outbreaks of infectious diseases, including three cases of VDPV2 polio and a significant rise in diphtheria cases in 2023. Immunization plays a vital role in preventing and controlling diseases like polio and diphtheria. However, over the past five years, immunization coverage in Aceh has steadily declined, positioning it as the lowest in Indonesia. This study aims to explore how two local news outlets, Ajnn.net and Serambinews.com, frame news coverage regarding the low immunization rates in Aceh. Using a qualitative approach, the study applies Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis, which focuses on issue selection and salience. The findings reveal a notable difference in how the two media outlets frame the issue of low immunization coverage. Ajnn.net frames the issue by highlighting the root causes of the declining immunization rates, such as socio-economic factors and inadequate healthcare services. In contrast, Serambinews.com emphasizes the consequences of insufficient immunization, focusing on the potential health risks, outbreaks, and increased mortality rates among children. Despite their differing approaches, both outlets rely primarily on government sources for their reporting. This reliance makes their coverage less balanced and objective, as the perspectives of other stakeholders, such as local health experts, parents, and community organizations, are largely excluded. The analysis suggests that while Ajnn.net sheds light on the underlying causes of low immunization rates, Serambinews.com underscores the dire consequences. Both outlets, however, could enhance their reporting by incorporating a wider range of sources to offer a more comprehensive and investigative view of the issue.

This study aimed to determine the relationship between parental social support and career exploration with career decision-making among unemployed young adults. Early adulthood, particularly between the ages of 18 and 25, is a crucial developmental period as individuals are required to become independent, build their identity, and determine their career direction. During this phase, many individuals face challenges such as career uncertainty and unemployment, making parental social support and career exploration skills important factors that can influence the quality of career decision-making. The subjects were job seekers aged 18 and 25, categorized as young adults. The sampling technique used probability sampling. The research instrument consisted of three scales: the career decision-making scale (29 items; α = 0.903), the parental social support scale (15 items; α = 0.893), and the career exploration scale (13 items; α = 0.921). Data analysis was performed using the Pearson correlation test to test the hypothesis, and reliability was measured using the Spearman-Brown method. The results of this study indicate a significant positive relationship between parental social support and career exploration with career decision-making among unemployed young adults. This finding indicates that the higher the social support provided by parents and the more active individuals are in exploring their career options, the better their ability to make appropriate career decisions. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of parental involvement in supporting children during the transition to the workforce and emphasize the need for intervention programs that systematically encourage career exploration among unemployed young adults. This is expected to enable individuals to develop more mature career decision-making capacities and thus be able to face the challenges of job uncertainty in the modern era.

This community service activity was carried out at Muhammadiyah Tidore Elementary School with a primary focus on improving the competency of teachers and staff in managing the school website. The background to this activity stems from the school's need for information media that is fast, accurate, and easily accessible to the community. The school website not only serves as a means of publishing activities but also as a communication medium between the school, parents, and the wider community. With good website management, information about academic activities, important announcements, and the school profile can be conveyed more effectively. The activity implementation method is carried out through several structured stages. The first stage is preparation, namely identifying needs, preparing training materials, and coordinating with the school. The second stage is technical training involving teachers and staff to understand the basics of content management, from adding articles, updating information, to uploading activity documentation. The third stage is socialization, where the community, especially parents, are introduced to the functions and benefits of the school website. Next, the implementation stage is carried out by directly applying the training results in website management. The final stage is evaluation, which aims to assess the extent to which skills improvements have been achieved and the extent to which the website is utilized by the community. The results of the activity indicate a significant increase in the skills of teachers and staff. They are able to independently update website content and utilize user guides provided in the form of documents and video tutorials. Furthermore, public access to online school information has also increased. This demonstrates that the school website is truly an effective communication tool. Therefore, this community service activity is expected to become a model for information technology empowerment that can be replicated in other schools, particularly in North Maluku.

Education plays a fundamental role in shaping character, developing personality, and exploring students' potential. Schools should ideally be safe, comfortable, and conducive spaces for student growth and development. However, reality shows that the school environment is still vulnerable to negative behaviors such as bullying and sexual violence. Bullying is understood as aggressive behavior carried out repeatedly with the aim of harming the victim, whether through physical, verbal, social, or online media (cyberbullying). Meanwhile, sexual violence includes various forms of sexual acts without the victim's consent, which have serious impacts on psychological, social, and academic achievement. Sexual violence in schools not only harms the victims physically but also leaves deep psychological scars that may affect their future. To respond to this problem, KKM Group 30 Bina Bangsa University conducted a socialization activity entitled "Stop Bullying and Sexual Violence" at SMAN X, District Y. The main objective of this activity was to provide in-depth understanding, build awareness, and encourage mutual respect in the school environment. The outreach was conducted through several methods, including presentations by resource persons, educational drama performances depicting real-life cases, and interactive question-and-answer sessions involving active student participation. Interactive sessions are essential to engage students and encourage them to express their thoughts openly. The results of the activities demonstrated high student enthusiasm, increased understanding of the forms and impacts of bullying and sexual violence, and a growing awareness to report victims or witnesses. These activities emphasized that prevention is not solely the responsibility of schools but also requires collaboration between students, teachers, parents, and the wider community. This creates a safe, comfortable learning environment free from all forms of violence.
