Mr. Ujang Cracker Factory, located in Pakiskembar Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency, is one of the UMKM that produces crackers. Most of the machines used in cracker processing at Mr. Ujang Cracker Factory still use a simple mechanical system. One of these machines is a cracker molding machine, where the speed is still adjusted manually by replacing the pulley. This study aims to recondition the cracker molding machine by adding a control panel in the form of a VSD inverter with the aim of facilitating the speed control process in operating the cracker molding machine. This study was conducted by analyzing the consistency of the influence of frequency and pulley diameter variations on the speed of the electric motor and mechanical movements in the cracker molding machine. The results of the study show that the frequency of the VSD inverter and the pulley diameter have a significant effect on the entire mechanism of the cracker printing machine. Based on the standard deviation value, the consistency of the pressing movement speed was obtained at a frequency of 40 Hz with a pulley diameter of 2 inches. From this study, it can be concluded that the overall frequency of the VSD inverter is the main parameter in determining the speed and stability of the cracker printing machine. Meanwhile, the variation in pulley diameter only serves as an additional mechanical adjustment to increase or decrease the output speed from the electric motor to the mechanical movement of the cracker printing machine.

The advancement of automotive technology has accelerated the adoption of renewable‑energy‑based electric vehicles, including the integration of solar panels on electric scooters. Indonesia’s tropical climate provides abundant solar energy potential; however, the limited surface area of scooters often restricts panel placement to the footrest section. This study aims to evaluate the impact of using a 10 mm clear acrylic cover on the performance of a 50 Wp monocrystalline solar panel in an electric scooter battery‑charging system. An experimental method was employed by comparing the panel’s performance under two conditions: without a cover and with the acrylic cover installed. Key parameters observed included voltage, current, and charging power, recorded using a data logger. Tests were conducted for 30 minutes under varying solar radiation intensities. The results indicate that the acrylic cover reduces the panel’s output power, from 55 W to 45 W at a solar radiation intensity of approximately 1100 W/m². These findings suggest that the use of an acrylic cover must be carefully considered to maintain optimal charging system performance.

Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) contains various bioactive compounds such as caffeine, polyphenols, flavonoids, and alkaloids that have the potential to produce diverse pharmacological effects on both the autonomic and central nervous systems. The variation in its chemical composition is influenced by factors such as cultivar, post-harvest processing, and preparation methods, resulting in biological responses that are dose-dependent and not always linear. This study aimed to evaluate the pharmacological activity of arabica coffee simplicia powder at three concentrations (1%, 2%, and 4%) by observing parasympathomimetic, parasympatholytic, sympathomimetic, sympatholytic, analeptic, central nervous system stimulation and depression, as well as muscle relaxation parameters. The research was conducted using a laboratory experimental design with test animals administered orally according to the designated concentrations. The results showed that some parameters increased at higher concentrations, such as parasympathomimetic activity (51.85%) and central nervous system stimulation (63.74%), while other parameters demonstrated decreasing or biphasic patterns, such as sympatholytic activity, which was high at 1% and 4% but low at 2%, and analeptic activity, which dropped sharply at 2% and increased again at 4%. These response patterns align with literature indicating that caffeine and polyphenols such as chlorogenic acid may interact synergistically or antagonistically, generating complex pharmacological effects through mechanisms involving adenosine modulation, excitatory neurotransmitters, the enteric nervous system, as well as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory pathways. Overall, this study demonstrates that arabica coffee simplicia exhibits multipotential pharmacological activity, with responses strongly influenced by concentration and the composition of its bioactive compounds, thereby providing a basis for further research on the phytopharmaceutical potential of arabica coffee.

This study aims to analyze the influence of Product Ingredients and Halal Certification on Consumer Purchase Intention toward udon products in Medan City. The research background is grounded in the increasing concern of Muslim consumers regarding the clarity of product composition and the legality of halal certification, particularly for foreign food products such as Japanese udon. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative design, involving respondents who had purchased udon products. Primary data were collected through questionnaire distribution, and the analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that Product Ingredients have a positive and significant effect on Purchase Intention, with ingredient information emerging as the most dominant indicator because it provides certainty regarding product safety, quality, and halal compliance. Halal Certification was also found to significantly influence Purchase Intention, with the legality of the certifying institution being the most emphasized indicator, while detailed certification information received relatively lower attention. Simultaneously, both variables explained 68% of the variation in purchase intention, with referential intention being the highest indicator, demonstrating consumers’ tendency to recommend the product to others. These results highlight that transparency of ingredients and credible halal certification are crucial factors in shaping consumer purchase intention toward udon products. The study recommends that producers improve clarity of ingredient information, display official halal certification details, and offer product innovations to increase consumers’ exploratory intentions.

Educational inequality persists across ASEAN despite improvements in enrollment and literacy, reflecting structural rather than merely access-related challenges. This study examines how governance structures, financing mechanisms, institutional capacity, and socio-economic stratification interact to produce disparities in educational access, participation, and progression. Using a qualitative-dominant mixed-methods design with cross-national comparative policy analysis, the research integrates macro-level quantitative indicators with in-depth qualitative evaluation of policy frameworks across ASEAN member states. Findings reveal that while primary enrollment approaches universality, secondary and tertiary education exhibit pronounced attrition, particularly among rural, low-income, and minority populations. Centralized governance, equitable public financing, and targeted support correlate with higher retention and reduced disparities, as evidenced in high-performing systems such as Singapore, whereas decentralized or under-resourced systems exacerbate structural inequities. Moreover, digital access and institutional capacity emerge as critical factors influencing educational trajectories. The study underscores that addressing inequality requires systemic reforms integrating governance coordination, progressive financing, institutional strengthening, and equity-focused interventions. By foregrounding structural determinants and cross-national variation, this research contributes to theoretical and policy debates on educational equity, providing evidence-based guidance for ASEAN strategies aimed at achieving inclusive, high-quality education across diverse socio-economic and geographic contexts.

Abstract. The development of digital media, especially YouTube, has made this platform not only a means of entertainment, but also a source of information, education, and self-reflection for students. Viewer satisfaction in consuming YouTube content is influenced by the quality of content presented by creators. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the quality of Nadia Omara's YouTube channel content on viewer satisfaction among students at Muhammadiyah University Kotabumi. This study applies a quantitative approach through a survey method. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale distributed to 98 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The independent variable in this study is content quality, while the dependent variable is viewer satisfaction. Data analysis was conducted through validity testing, reliability testing, linearity testing, and simple linear regression analysis. Hypothesis testing was performed using the t-test (partial test) with the help of SPSS version 26 software. The results showed that the quality of Nadia Omara's YouTube channel content had a positive and significant effect on viewer satisfaction. This is evidenced by a regression coefficient value of 0.865 and a t-value of 11.937 with a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). These findings support the Uses and Gratifications Theory and Expectation Confirmation Theory, which emphasize the active role of the audience in evaluating media based on the fulfillment of needs and conformity with expectations empirically among college students.

The prohibition of proposing to a woman during her ‘iddah period constitutes an Islamic legal provision that is firmly grounded in the normative foundations of the Qur’an and fiqh. This provision aims to preserve the clarity of lineage, protect women’s dignity, and maintain order within the legal framework of marriage. This article examines, from a normative perspective, the prohibition of proposing to a woman during her ‘iddah according to the Shāfi‘ī school of law. The study employs a normative legal research method with a qualitative approach through library research, drawing upon the Qur’an, hadith, and authoritative (mu‘tabar) Shāfi‘ī fiqh texts. The findings indicate that the Shāfi‘ī school strictly prohibits explicit proposals to women during all types of ‘iddah, including ‘iddah resulting from revocable divorce (ṭalāq raj‘ī), irrevocable divorce (ṭalāq bā’in), annulment (fasakh), and death. As for indirect proposals (ta‘rīḍ), they are permitted only for women whose ‘iddah is not accompanied by a right of reconciliation, such as ‘iddah due to death and ‘iddah of ṭalāq bā’in, while remaining prohibited during ‘iddah raj‘ī. This legal ruling reflects the prudence of the Shāfi‘ī school in preventing the occurrence of invalid marriage contracts and affirms the function of ‘iddah as an instrument of Islamic legal regulation rather than merely a biological waiting period.

Mahkamah : Jurnal Riset Ilmu Hukum 2026 Asosiasi Peneliti dan Pengajar Ilmu Hukum Indonesia

This article examines in depth the concept of protecting human dignity through the regulation of gaze and physical contact among mahram according to the Shafi‘i School of Islamic law. From an Islamic perspective, the preservation of dignity (ḥifẓ al-‘irḍ) occupies a highly fundamental position as part of the objectives of Islamic law, particularly in regulating social relations and family interactions. Although mahram relationships legally allow closer interaction, Islam continues to establish ethical boundaries to safeguard purity and moral values. This study is a normative legal research employing conceptual and normative-fiqh approaches, relying on primary sources such as the Qur’an, the Prophetic traditions (hadith), and classical as well as contemporary Shafi‘i jurisprudential literature. The findings indicate that the Shafi‘i School does not regard mahram relations as a sphere of absolute and unrestricted freedom, but instead provides clear regulations concerning gaze and physical contact. Visual interaction is permitted in a limited manner, restricted to certain parts of the body and subject to the condition that it does not provoke desire or potential moral temptation (fitnah). Meanwhile, physical contact is regulated more strictly and, in principle, is only permitted in situations of legitimate shar‘i necessity, such as medical treatment or emergency circumstances. Therefore, the regulation of gaze and physical contact among mahram in the Shafi‘i School functions as an instrument for protecting human dignity, preserving the sanctity of family relationships, and preventing behavioral deviations from an early stage.

Modern retail expansion in Situbondo Regency has intensified competitive interaction with traditional markets, making it important to map differences in market structure, firm conduct, and performance outcomes. This study compares (i) market structure using concentration indicators (CR4 and the Herfindahl–Hirschman Index/HHI), (ii) competitive conduct (pricing practices, promotional intensity, service attributes, and relationship patterns), and (iii) performance proxies (sales turnover and selected price efficiency measures) within the SCP framework. The analysis applies a descriptive quantitative approach supported by targeted primary observations and questionnaire-based information, and complemented by official statistics and regulatory documents. Traditional-market samples include Panji, Besuki, and Panarukan markets, while modern-retail samples include local outlets of Indomaret, Alfamart, and Basmalah. Results indicate that traditional markets are relatively unconcentrated (CR4 = 38.0%; HHI = 744), consistent with a competitive structure dominated by many small vendors. Modern retail is more concentrated (CR4 = 77.0%; HHI = 1,644), suggesting moderate concentration and a tendency toward local oligopoly. Average monthly turnover per unit is higher for modern retail (IDR 36.36 million) than for traditional vendors (IDR 15.63 million). Price efficiency varies across commodities: some items show near parity, while several fresh commodities remain cheaper in traditional markets. Policy implications point to balanced local governance: zoning and permitting for modern stores, continuous revitalization of traditional markets, and strengthened MSME partnership schemes to ensure healthy and inclusive competition.

Video steganography faces fundamental challenges in balancing embedding capacity, imperceptibility, and robustness, where conventional Least Significant Bit (LSB) methods often produce visual artifacts such as flickering. To address this, this research proposes an advanced method named Adaptive Multi-layer LSB, which dynamically adjusts the number of embedded bits in each pixel based on a multi-factor analysis of the video's spatial and temporal characteristics. This adaptation mechanism is evaluated through three primary criteria: brightness level, local texture complexity, and inter-frame motion stability. Quantitative evaluation using Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity Index (SSIM), and Frame Difference Stability Index (FDSI) metrics demonstrates that the proposed method achieves high visual quality, with an average PSNR of 42.15 dB and SSIM of 0.985. These results significantly outperform the non-adaptive approach, which only recorded a PSNR of 38.5 dB. More importantly, the FDSI value of this method (1.25) is much lower compared to the non-adaptive approach (3.40), demonstrating its superiority in maintaining temporal stability. Thus, this approach provides a significant contribution to enhancing security and quality in video steganography practices.
