Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are an essential pillar of the Indonesian economy, contributing significantly to employment creation, poverty reduction, and income distribution. However, despite their substantial role, MSMEs continue to face a number of persistent challenges, including limited access to capital, low levels of financial literacy, and inadequate utilization of technology. These barriers hinder their ability to grow, compete, and adapt to rapid economic changes. This study aims to explore and analyze the role of Islamic Financial Institutions (IFIs) in empowering MSMEs within the framework of Sharia principles. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research is based on a comprehensive literature review of scholarly articles, official reports, and other relevant academic sources. The findings reveal that IFIs provide both financial and social contributions to MSMEs. Financially, IFIs channel funds through Sharia-compliant contracts such as mudharabah and murabahah, which allow entrepreneurs to access financing without relying on conventional interest-based systems. Socially, IFIs carry out a redistributive role by managing and disbursing zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf (ZISWAF), while also offering entrepreneurship training, mentoring, and technical assistance. These functions collectively enhance MSMEs’ access to capital, strengthen their managerial and operational capacities, and increase competitiveness in both domestic and global markets. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including the uneven geographical distribution of IFI services, slow adoption of digital technology, and the need for more supportive regulatory frameworks. Strengthening IFIs’ role through policy integration, technological innovation, and collaboration with government and private sectors is essential for maximizing their impact on MSME empowerment. Thus, IFIs not only act as financial intermediaries but also as socio-economic catalysts that support sustainable and inclusive economic development in Indonesia.

The Unnoni Weaving Center is a community-led, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) development center for traditional weaving. Despite its significant potential, many entrepreneurs in this center face challenges in determining appropriate product prices. They typically rely solely on intuition or follow market prices without considering all production cost components, resulting in very small profit margins and even the risk of incurring losses. In response to these challenges, this community service program was designed to improve the ability of SMEs to determine more rational, measurable, and profitable selling prices through comprehensive and applicable training in production cost calculations. The methods employed included outreach, workshops, intensive mentoring, and hands-on simulations on pricing based on real costs and reasonable margins. The program was conducted in two sessions at the Unnoni Weaving Center Hall, involving 25 local weaving entrepreneurs. The results showed significant improvement, with participants' understanding of identifying production cost components increasing by 76%, while approximately 80% successfully conducted simulations for determining selling prices, taking into account raw materials, labor, overhead costs, and profit margins. The tangible impact of this activity is seen in increased business literacy, more systematic calculation skills, and the confidence of SMEs in determining prices and negotiating with consumers and business partners. Furthermore, this activity is expected to be a starting point for the implementation of a simple financial recording system, increased operational efficiency, and the development of a branding strategy for Unnoni woven products so they can compete more professionally, sustainably, and with high competitiveness in both local and global markets.

Banking is a key pillar of the financial system, playing a crucial role as an intermediary between those with excess funds and those in need of financing. In the context of post-pandemic economic recovery in the 2022–2024 period, bank sustainability and resilience, particularly in terms of profit-generating ability, are crucial aspects to consider. This study was conducted to analyze the extent to which capital structure and intermediation efficiency influence the profitability of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Capital structure in this study is proxied by the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), while intermediation efficiency is measured by the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR). The profitability indicator used is Return on Assets (ROA), which reflects a bank's effectiveness in utilizing its assets to generate profits. This research methodology uses a quantitative approach through multiple linear regression analysis with secondary data in the form of annual financial reports from 111 banks for the 2022–2024 period. The analysis results show that simultaneously, CAR and LDR variables have a significant effect on ROA. Furthermore, both variables have been shown to contribute positively to increasing bank profitability. In other words, maintaining adequate capital and efficient credit management can strengthen overall financial performance. This finding offers strategic implications for bank management in formulating capital and liquidity management policies. Optimizing these two aspects not only impacts short-term profit achievement but also contributes to the stability and sustainability of banking profitability in the long term. Therefore, banks need to ensure a strong capital strategy coupled with efficient intermediation to be more resilient in facing future economic dynamics.

In the current digital era, managing sales transactions manually is inefficient and prone to recording errors. This research aims to develop a web-based Point of Sale (POS) application for the Phi Phi Thai business using the Extreme Programming (XP) software development methodology. XP was chosen for its support of rapid iteration, adaptability to changing user requirements, and strong collaboration between developers and stakeholders. The developed application includes key features such as user registration and login, product ordering, menu and customer management, expense tracking, and financial and sales reporting. Testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to ensure that all functionalities performed according to specifications. The implementation results indicate that the application improves operational efficiency, reduces transaction errors, and provides real-time information for business owners to support better decision-making. Furthermore, the application of Extreme Programming (XP) methodology in the development process allows time for regular evaluation and refinement of the application based on feedback from end users. Each iteration produces a version of the software that can be immediately tested and used, minimizing the risk of system failure during final implementation. This approach also encourages lightweight yet relevant documentation and open communication between the technical team and business owners. Thus, the developed Point of Sale application not only meets current functional requirements but also has a high degree of flexibility for further development as Phi Phi Thai's business grows in the future.

This study discusses the implementation of consumer law in the context of gold investment through PT X's digital application and the consumer protection guarantee mechanisms presented in the system. The research method used is normative juridical, namely a method that emphasizes the study of applicable positive legal norms, legal doctrine, and the application of relevant legal principles. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of consumer law in digital-based gold investment has been carried out in accordance with contractual principles as stipulated in civil law and in line with the provisions of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. In practice, gold investment transactions through the X application are carried out with a mixed agreement containing elements of sale and purchase, deposit, and pawn. This is an important basis because the legal relationship between consumers and companies is not only a single transaction, but a combination that requires guaranteed protection of consumer rights. The legal basis for this mechanism is reflected in the X Digital Application Operational Guidelines Number 28 of 2024, which detailed administrative procedures, application usage requirements, and the implementation of consumer protection principles as stipulated in Articles 4, 7, 18, and 45 of the Consumer Protection Law. Thus, the implemented system not only emphasizes commercial aspects but also ensures a balance between the rights and obligations of consumers and businesses. This study highlights how digital transformation in financial services requires a robust legal framework to protect consumers from potential risks. Therefore, internal company regulations and guidelines play a strategic role in ensuring fairness and providing a sense of security for people investing in gold through digital applications.

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of PT ABC Tbk during the period 2019–2023 using the Du Pont System as the primary analytical tool. The Du Pont System is widely recognized as a comprehensive method to evaluate a company’s overall performance by breaking down profitability into several key components: net profit margin, total asset turnover, return on investment (ROI), equity multiplier, and return on equity (ROE). The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach, with data sourced from secondary materials in the form of official financial statements published by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). A purposive sampling technique was applied to ensure the relevance and accuracy of the data analyzed. The findings reveal that the company’s financial performance throughout the five-year observation period has been less than optimal. Each of the main components of the Du Pont System showed average ratios that fell below the industry benchmark, indicating structural weaknesses in both profitability and efficiency. Specifically, the net profit margin and total asset turnover were constrained by high operational costs, while ROI and ROE were further pressured by volatility in foreign exchange rates. These inefficiencies highlight the vulnerability of the company’s financial structure to both internal management challenges and external macroeconomic factors. Based on the results, the study provides several strategic recommendations to improve financial performance. First, optimization of cost management is necessary to reduce operational inefficiencies that directly affect profit margins. Second, the implementation of foreign exchange risk mitigation strategies, such as hedging, is suggested to minimize the negative impacts of currency fluctuations. Finally, to strengthen revenue growth, the company is encouraged to adopt and expand digital marketing initiatives as a means of improving sales performance and market penetration. Overall, this study emphasizes the importance of integrating financial control with strategic innovation to ensure long-term sustainability and competitiveness in the pharmaceutical industry.

This paper explores the transformative influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on the accounting profession, particularly within the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF). The research investigates how AI-driven innovations are reshaping traditional accounting practices and redefining the role of accountants. By conducting a systematic literature review, this study identifies three primary dimensions of AI’s impact: the automation of repetitive tasks such as data entry, transaction processing, and reconciliation; enhanced data analytics capabilities, which include predictive modeling and real-time decision support; and the evolution of accountants' roles toward more strategic and value-added activities, such as financial advisory and risk management. The automation of routine processes through AI allows accountants to focus on higher-level tasks that require judgment, creativity, and expertise, ultimately enhancing the overall efficiency of the accounting function. Furthermore, AI’s advanced data analytics tools provide more accurate insights, enabling accountants to offer more effective financial guidance and make more informed decisions. As AI reduces the time spent on manual processes, accounting professionals can improve their role in advising on business strategy, improving risk management, and identifying new growth opportunities. The study’s findings underscore the importance of embracing AI in the accounting profession, not only to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and scale operations but also to enable accountants to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. The paper concludes by emphasizing that adopting AI is essential for accountants to remain relevant and continue providing valuable contributions to their organizations. Future research should focus on the long-term implications of AI on accounting ethics and the development of necessary skills for accounting professionals to thrive in the age of AI.

Digital transformation in the public sector has become a strategic agenda to improve the efficiency, transparency, and quality of government services, including in regional revenue management. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital transformation in the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda: Badan Pendapatan Daerah) of East Java Province, especially in the Gresik Technical Implementation Unit (UPT: Unit Pelaksana Teknis), as well as its impact on administrative efficiency, transparency, and increasing Regional Original Revenue (PAD: Pendapatan Asli Daerah). This study uses a non-empirical qualitative approach with a literature study method, which involves the analysis of secondary data from scientific journals, policy documents, government performance reports, and community digitalization indicators such as the Indonesian Digital Society Index (IMDI: Indeks Masyarakat Digital Indonesia). The results show that digital transformation through e-payment systems and web-based administration has significantly accelerated the service process, improved taxpayer compliance, and reduced revenue leakage. The receipt of PAD through digital channels increased by 60% in one year, while service efficiency increased by reducing administrative process time from three days to one day. The implementation of this digital transformation is also influenced by the readiness of infrastructure, apparatus competence, and community digital literacy, as described in the theoretical framework of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Dynamic Capabilities, and TOE Framework. Despite positive achievements, challenges such as digital skills gaps, resistance to change, and system security issues are still obstacles in optimizing digital transformation. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the development  of e-governance literature  and digital public policy practices at the local level. These findings also provide concrete recommendations for other regions to replicate good practices of digital transformation that have succeeded in improving regional financial performance. Thus, digital transformation is not only a technological instrument, but also a governance strategy that requires synergy between technology, organizations, and society

This study aims to examine the influence of perceptions of security and lifestyle on the interest of Sriwijaya State Polytechnic students in using mobile banking services. The rapid development of digital technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including the banking sector. Mobile banking is now one of the main choices for people because it offers convenience, flexibility, and time efficiency in conducting financial transactions. However, the level of adoption of this service is not solely determined by the availability of technology, but also by the extent to which users feel the system is secure and fits their lifestyle. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected from 100 respondents who were students of Sriwijaya State Polytechnic through an incidental sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 26.0. The independent variables in this study were perceptions of security and lifestyle, while the dependent variable was interest in using mobile banking. The results showed that both perceptions of security and lifestyle have a significant influence on students' interest in using mobile banking, both partially and simultaneously. Together, these two variables contributed 63.3% to the variation in interest in using mobile banking. This indicates that the higher students' perceptions of service security and the more relevant the service is to their lifestyle, the greater their tendency to actively use mobile banking. This finding is important for banks in formulating strategies to increase mobile banking adoption, especially among students, a potential digital generation.

This study aims to analyze the extent to which Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) 109 on Zakat Accounting has been implemented in the financial reporting of Amil Zakat Institutions. PSAK 109 is designed as a guideline to ensure that the management of zakat, infaq, and alms funds is carried out in an accountable, transparent, and Sharia-compliant manner. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques, allowing for a comprehensive exploration of zakat accounting practices applied by the institution. The findings indicate that the Amil Zakat Institution has implemented most aspects of PSAK 109, particularly in the recognition, measurement, and presentation of zakat funds, which are clearly separated from non-zakat funds. This practice demonstrates a positive effort by the institution to maintain accountability and transparency in managing public funds. However, the study also reveals weaknesses in the disclosure aspect, especially in the Notes to Financial Statements (CALK), where the information provided remains limited and has not fully met the requirements of PSAK 109. Such limitations reduce the overall quality and transparency of financial reporting. The main challenges in implementing PSAK 109 include the limited number of human resources with sufficient technical knowledge of zakat accounting, the inadequacy of the existing accounting information system, and the lack of intensive technical training. These issues hinder the optimal application of PSAK 109 and may lead to inconsistent interpretations in practice. Therefore, strategic improvements are required through internal capacity building, the development of integrated accounting information systems, and continuous assistance from relevant authorities. These efforts are expected to enhance the quality of zakat financial reporting, making it more transparent, accountable, and Sharia-compliant, while also strengthening public trust in Amil Zakat Institutions as trustworthy managers of public funds.

Human resources (HR) are a crucial component of any organization, playing a vital role in determining its development and success. One key aspect of HR management is employee performance, which reflects the quality and quantity of employee output in meeting company targets. This study focuses on PT REX Denpasar, a logistics company that experienced fluctuations in monthly revenue throughout 2023. This phenomenon indicates performance issues related to work quantity, delivery accuracy, and time efficiency. Several operational issues identified included variability in staff productivity, delays in delivery schedules, and inaccuracies in shipping data processing. To explore solutions to these challenges, the study examined the role of managerial leadership and financial incentives in improving employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. This study covered all 40 employees of PT REX Denpasar, using a comprehensive enumeration sampling method. Data were collected through structured questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and a review of organizational records. Analysis was conducted using a structural path modeling approach to examine the relationships between variables. The results showed that managerial leadership had a significant effect on job satisfaction, as did the financial incentives provided by the company. Furthermore, leadership quality and compensation systems have been shown to have a positive correlation with improved employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction was found to act as a substantial mediator, strengthening the influence of leadership and compensation on performance. Thus, improving leadership quality and improving compensation mechanisms not only have a direct impact but also an indirect impact through increased job satisfaction.

This study aims to analyze the effect of liquidity and credit risk on the profitability of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2018–2022. Profitability is measured by Return on Assets (ROA), liquidity is proxied by the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), while credit risk is measured using the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio. The research employs a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis to test the partial and simultaneous influence of the independent variables on profitability. Data were obtained from the annual financial reports of banks published on the IDX, covering a five-year observation period. The results of the analysis show that credit risk, as measured by NPL, has a significant negative effect on bank profitability. This finding reflects that the higher the NPL ratio, the lower the bank’s ability to generate returns on assets, emphasizing the importance of effective credit quality management. In contrast, the liquidity level measured by LDR demonstrates a positive but statistically insignificant effect on ROA. This suggests that although liquidity plays a role in supporting banking operations, its direct impact on profitability is relatively weak when considered independently. However, when examined simultaneously, both credit risk and liquidity significantly affect bank profitability. These findings imply that effective credit risk management is a crucial determinant of financial performance in the banking sector. High levels of non-performing loans can erode bank profits, while optimal liquidity management supports operational efficiency, even if its impact is not strongly significant in isolation. From a managerial perspective, banks need to strengthen monitoring of loan quality, implement more prudent credit policies, and adopt sustainable liquidity strategies to enhance profitability. For regulators, the results highlight the importance of supervising asset quality and ensuring adequate liquidity management in the banking system. This study contributes to the literature on banking performance by providing empirical evidence on the interaction between credit risk, liquidity, and profitability in the Indonesian banking sector.

The development of the sharia financial system is marked by the establishment of various sharia institutions and the issuance of various sharia-based financial instruments. One of the most prominent institutions is sharia banks, which not only serve as financial intermediaries that collect and distribute funds to the community but also provide various services, including pawning. Bank Syariah Indonesia is one of the leading banks offering a gold pawn product, which has been considered successful due to its continuous growth every year. Sharia gold pawn financing is a product that channels funds in the form of loans, based on the qard principle, where gold serves as collateral for the customer’s money. The process involves several stages that must be followed by both the bank and the customer. Bank Syariah Indonesia has managed to set relatively low rental fees for its gold pawn products compared to other financial institutions, making it an attractive option for customers in need of short-term financing. In this community service activity, the aim is to provide a detailed explanation of the mechanism behind the gold pawning product at Bank Syariah Indonesia. By doing so, the public is expected to become more familiar with the services, operations, and benefits offered by sharia banks, particularly in the context of gold pawn financing. This initiative aims to increase the understanding and awareness of the public about the advantages of using sharia-based financial products, as well as highlight the role of such services in supporting the financial needs of individuals while adhering to Islamic principles. Through this outreach, it is hoped that more people will consider utilizing these financial services, thus contributing to the broader development of sharia finance

This study aims to analyze cash management practices in Batik MSMEs in Cirebon Regency using a qualitative approach that combines direct observation and in-depth interviews with business owners. The study found that most Batik MSMEs still rely on manual cash management systems, which ultimately poses various challenges, particularly in terms of unstructured financial recording and minimal cash flow planning. This condition makes it difficult to communicate receipts and expenditures in real time, potentially leading to errors in fund management and disrupting business financial stability. Furthermore, the study revealed variations in cash receipt recording methods, such as daily or weekly recording, which are inconsistent across MSMEs. This impacts transparency and effective financial control. The lack of thorough cash flow planning also makes it difficult for business owners to deal with insufficient liquidity, especially when there is a surge in sales or sudden needs. As a result, some MSMEs experience problems meeting their payment obligations on time, including to suppliers and employees. The findings of this study highlight the importance of financial literacy education for Batik MSMEs so they can understand the basic concepts of cash management well. Furthermore, the use of digital technology, such as simple financial recording applications, is highly recommended to improve efficiency and accuracy in cash flow management. This technology implementation is expected to assist MSMEs in making more informed financial decisions and supporting the long-term sustainability of their businesses. Therefore, this study provides strategic recommendations for local governments and MSME support institutions to provide adequate training and technological facilities to strengthen financial management capacity in the batik MSME sector in Cirebon Regency.

Sharia financing is a key instrument that Islamic banks must promote in channeling third-party funds. This aligns with the basic principles of Islamic banking, which emphasize fairness, partnership, and business sustainability. Therefore, it is crucial to examine how various Islamic financing schemes impact Islamic bank profitability. This study focuses on Bank Mega Syariah, using secondary data sourced from quarterly financial reports for the period 2017 to 2024. The financing variables analyzed include musyarakah, mudharabah, murabahah, and ijarah, while profitability is measured using relevant financial performance indicators. The analysis method used is a quantitative approach using regression techniques to examine the effect of each type of financing on bank profitability. The results show that musyarakah, mudharabah, and murabahah-based financing have a positive and significant impact on profitability, meaning that the higher the distribution of these three types of financing, the greater their contribution to increasing bank profits. These findings indicate that the business partnership model, profit-sharing system, and profit margin stipulated in the murabahah contract significantly contribute to maintaining profit growth. Conversely, ijarah financing did not significantly impact profitability. This may be due to the characteristics of ijarah, which tends to be oriented towards fixed assets or leases, resulting in a relatively limited contribution to increasing short-term profits. Overall, this study provides important implications for Islamic bank management to further optimize the proportion of musyarakah, mudharabah, and murabahah financing as a strategy to boost financial performance and maintain business continuity amidst the competitive Islamic banking industry.

This research examines the impact of Indonesia's sugar import policy during the period 2020–2024 through the case study of Thomas Trikasih Lembong. Employing a qualitative methodology with an instrumental case study approach, the study seeks to capture the complexities of strategic commodity trade policies in Indonesia. The analysis reveals that the issuance of sugar import permits to PT Andalas Putra was conducted in violation of existing legal frameworks, particularly Presidential Regulation No. 48/2013, resulting in state financial losses estimated at Rp 400 billion. These irregularities highlight not only weak adherence to regulatory standards but also minimal coordination among relevant government agencies, reflecting the broader challenge of weak good governance implementation. The distributional consequences of this policy were also significant. While downstream industries benefited from increased sugar availability and lower input costs, domestic sugarcane farmers and the national sugar industry suffered substantial losses. The oversupply condition triggered by import policy mismanagement led to a decline in local sugar prices, producing welfare transfers that disproportionately disadvantaged rural farming communities. These findings underscore the structural vulnerability of agricultural stakeholders when state institutions fail to balance industrial and farming interests in policy formulation. Furthermore, the imposition of a 4.5-year prison sentence on the policymaker involved has sparked discourse on the criminalization of public policy, raising debates over the line between policy failure and corruption in governance. In light of these findings, the study provides several recommendations. These include strengthening inter-agency coordination mechanisms, developing early warning systems to monitor commodity market dynamics, reforming the regulatory framework governing import permits, and designing adaptive policy instruments capable of mitigating welfare risks while optimizing strategic commodity management. Overall, this study contributes to the discourse on governance, accountability, and policy reform in Indonesia’s strategic trade sector, particularly in relation to sugar as a vital commodity.

Advances in digital technology in the financial sector have encouraged Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to shift from cash payment systems to non-cash payments through QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) as an effort to increase efficiency and modernize transactions. This research is motivated by the low level of QRIS adoption among MSMEs in Junti Village, Jawilan District, Serang Regency, Banten, most of which still rely on cash-based transactions. The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of QRIS by MSMEs, identify the obstacles faced, and assess the impact of the system's implementation on daily business activities. Data were collected through field observations, interviews with MSME actors, and supporting documentation, and this research was conducted in Junti Village in July 2025. The results revealed that some MSMEs that have adopted QRIS experienced benefits in the form of ease in conducting transactions, increased efficiency, and a more professional business image. These findings also confirm that the use of QRIS contributes to the acceleration of digital transformation in the MSME sector, although not yet fully optimal. The main obstacles encountered were limited access and the quality of internet infrastructure, which is still uneven, making it difficult for some business actors to utilize QRIS optimally. Based on these results, the study recommends the importance of increasing the intensity of socialization and training on QRIS use, as well as the need for ongoing support from local governments and financial institutions so that MSMEs can adapt more quickly and comprehensively to changes in digital technology, so that MSME digital transformation can take place effectively, inclusively, and sustainably. This study recommends the need for increased socialization, training, and support from financial institutions and local governments to encourage sustainable digital transformation of MSMEs.

This study examines the philosophy of Islamic economics and the legal principles underlying the implementation of the mudharabah muqayyadah contract in Islamic financial institutions. The mudharabah muqayyadah contract is a form of partnership contract involving the shahibul maal (capital owner) and mudharib (business manager), with provisions limited to a certain scope, so that the implementation of this contract must be based on sharia principles that regulate all forms of financial transactions. This study focuses on how ethical values in Islam are integrated with the legal principles of sharia contracts, particularly in maintaining fair relations between the two parties. Through a normative qualitative approach, data were collected from classical and contemporary literature as well as regulations applicable in the Islamic financial sector. The results show that the mudharabah muqayyadah contract is a manifestation of maqashid al-shariah in economic practice, which aims to safeguard assets, uphold justice, and create balance in economic transactions. The legal principles applied in this contract include freedom of contract, good faith, and fairness, which serve to ensure transparency, accountability, and justice between the parties involved. However, the biggest challenges in implementing the mudharabah muqayyadah contract are the aspects of supervision and compliance with sharia principles, as well as technical practices that are often influenced by conventional systems. Therefore, this study recommends the need to strengthen education on sharia philosophy for practitioners in the Islamic financial sector, as well as the need for regulatory harmonization to ensure the fair implementation of the contract, in accordance with the transcendental values taught in Islam. Furthermore, harmonization of regulations governing the mudharabah muqayyadah contract is also crucial to create uniformity in practice across Islamic financial institutions. Clear and firm regulations will reduce the potential for misinterpretation that can lead to bias against the interests of one party.
