The coastal area in Aeng Batu-Batu Village, Galesong, Takalar Regency is one of the areas whose lives depend on marine products, especially on seaweed cultivation as their main livelihood. However, due to the sea mining activities that began in the area since 2017 to meet the needs of infrastructure projects on the Center Point of Indonesia (CPI) reclamation island, it has had a significant impact on the social life of the local community, a change in income that has decreased from seaweed cultivation which has finally made fishermen switch to looking for other marine biota such as crabs and squid. In the context of social dynamics that occur as a result of mining, it has made changes in the daily activities of the local community, especially in the search for income. In this case, the solidarity of the local community is also an important factor in changing habits that occur after sand mining occurs. Sand mining also triggers coastal abrasion which causes houses in coastal areas to be exposed to abrasion. This research uses qualitative methods that focus on interview techniques, observation and literature review which are used to analyze the effects of sand mining on the coastal communities of Aeng Batu-Batu Village. The results of this study show that coastal sand mining has brought changes to the social dynamics and interaction patterns that exist in the community, especially in the management of marine resources and their place of residence. These results are expected to be material for further attention regarding coastal environmental management policies related to the utilization of natural resources, especially for reclamation needs in order to prevent negative impacts that arise in coastal communities.

More specifically, the objectives of this service activity are: 1. Increasing community knowledge in utilizing yellow corn so that it can increase community income. 2. Creating an application that can be used to help increase yellow corn production;; 3 Provide assistance to start-up businesses in the field of yellow corn cultivation; 4. Provide assistance in the use of the Yellow Corn marketing market place via Android Applications and E-Marketing; 5. Diversification of Processed Yellow Corn Products into other processed products and designs. ; and 6. Creation of interactive media and training modules for processing yellow corn has been completed. This service activity received a very good response from the Biralle Kunyi farmer group, as well as North Polongbangkeng State Middle School 4 as the target group. Rural economic transformation is a strategic step in improving the welfare of rural communities, especially in the era of globalization that drives intense market competition. One important aspect of this transformation is education and the implementation of halal production labeling. The application of halal labels not only increases consumer trust but also opens up opportunities for local products to be exported to global markets that increasingly emphasize product halalness. Education about the importance of halal certification at the village level becomes crucial in enhancing the quality and competitiveness of local products. Moreover, empowering communities through training and mentoring in the halal certification process can accelerate economic transformation. This research aims to analyze the impact of education and the implementation of halal certification on rural economic growth and identify the challenges faced in the process. The findings reveal that villages that have implemented halal certification experienced increased income, wider market access, and improved product quality. However, obstacles such as a lack of knowledge and high certification costs need to be addressed through more inclusive policies and government support.

Fear of crime is closely linked to various factors such as education, income, race, age, and especially gender. Many studies have shown that women tend to experience higher levels of anxiety than men, thus limiting their participation in utilizing urban outdoor spaces. This condition emphasizes the need for crime prevention efforts to be integrated into urban planning, emphasizing the fulfillment of a sense of security not only physically but also psychologically. If the city fails to provide an adequate sense of security, it will lead to increased anxiety, discomfort, and ultimately limit community involvement in the use of public spaces. This study aims to identify design factors that influence women's sense of security and psychological safety in downtown areas. The research paradigm used is post-positivism with a quantitative approach, reinforced by walkthrough analysis techniques to produce more accurate findings. The results show that control factors are the most dominant aspect in influencing women's psychological security and safety, while sub-factors such as lighting, diversity of activities, availability of open spaces, and road conditions have also been shown to play a significant role in reducing women's anxiety when accessing public spaces. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of city center design that is not only oriented towards physical function alone, but also pays attention to psychological aspects in order to create a safe, inclusive, and gender-friendly urban environment so that women can feel more protected and free to participate in urban life.
