This study investigates the complexity of contextual meaning in political texts posted by public figures on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Grounded in Halliday and Hasan’s theory of situational context and Searle’s speech act theory, the research analyzes how political utterances function through locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary acts. The data, drawn from tweets during the 2024 Indonesian presidential election period, were collected using documentation and structured observation methods. The findings indicate that political texts on X are highly layered, combining explicit facts with implicit criticism, ideological stance, and persuasive strategies. Through representative, expressive, and directive speech acts, public figures construct meaning that influences public perception, evokes emotional responses, and fosters political alignment. This study contributes to the understanding of digital political discourse by highlighting how pragmatic strategies shape the interpretation of meaning in online political communication.

Social media has become one of the main channels for disseminating information, including local news relevant to people’s daily lives. This study aims to analyze the reception of followers of the Instagram account @radarbogor.id in consuming local news. The research used a qualitative approach with a reception analysis method based on Stuart Hall’s theory, which classifies audience responses into dominant-hegemonic, negotiated, and oppositional positions. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with three informants who actively follow the account. The results show that the followers tend to interpret the content from dominant-hegemonic and negotiated positions. They consider the @radarbogor.id account to be a reliable and up-to-date news source, though some still independently verify the information. Factors that influence positive reception include the informative nature of the content, visually appealing design, and simple language. However, criticism was noted regarding the poor audio quality in video uploads, which can affect audience engagement. This study concludes that social media followers are not passive consumers but active interpreters of media messages who critically evaluate the information they receive.

Christian religious education plays an important role in shaping the faith and character of students so that they grow like Christ. However, an approach that overemphasizes the cognitive aspect often prevents students from experiencing faith in its entirety in everyday life. Theological reflection is present as an approach that can bridge the gap between life experiences and understanding of Christian faith. Killen and de Beer offer a practical method of theological reflection, emphasizing awareness of experience, the meaning of values, and interpretation based on sources of faith. Meanwhile, Whitehead emphasizes the dynamics between tradition, personal experience, and culture in shaping theological understanding. Both approaches make significant contributions to Christian religious education because they encourage students to not only know the teachings of faith, but also to live them in the context of real life. Thus, theological reflection can be a transformative method in Christian religious education, strengthening students' involvement in a meaningful and relevant faith learning process.

The Constitutional Court of Indonesia is a judicial institution with the authority to review laws against the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, resolve disputes between state institutions, decide on the dissolution of political parties, and adjudicate election result disputes. In exercising its authority, the Constitutional Court functions not only as the guardian of the constitution but also as a protector of human rights. This article aims to analyze how the procedural law of the Constitutional Court, as regulated under Law Number 24 of 2003 and its amendments, serves as a crucial instrument to ensure fair, transparent, and accountable proceedings in cases involving constitutional rights. This study adopts a normative juridical approach by examining legislation, legal doctrines, and Constitutional Court decisions that have had a significant impact on the protection of human rights. The analysis reveals that several rulings of the Court have expanded interpretations of human rights, although challenges remain regarding the consistency of procedural application and the effectiveness of decision enforcement. Therefore, strengthening the procedural law of the Constitutional Court is essential for ensuring the substantive and sustainable protection of human rights in Indonesia.

This study critically examines the implementation of Article 20 of Law No. 31/1999, as amended by Law No. 20/2001, concerning the eradication of corruption (UU Tipikor), with a focus on corporate accountability in corruption offenses. It aims to address three primary concerns: (1) the practical application of corporate liability mechanisms, (2) the effectiveness of sanctions imposed on corporations, and (3) the legal obstacles that impede the full enforcement of corporate criminal responsibility. Employing a normative legal approach, this research integrates statutory analysis, case law evaluation, and theoretical exploration. The findings highlight considerable challenges in proving corporate liability, as well as the limited scope and effectiveness of current penalties. These difficulties stem from ambiguities in distinguishing between the responsibilities of individuals and the corporation, and the lack of consistent legal interpretation by law enforcement authorities. The study proposes a set of recommendations, including the formulation of clear technical guidelines, the continuous professional development of legal practitioners, the enhancement of sanctions against corporations, and the establishment of a centralized database of judicial decisions involving corporate criminal liability. These measures are essential to ensure more effective corporate accountability and the prevention of systemic corruption in Indonesia.

This study discusses a legal analysis of the differences between criticism and defamation in Indonesian law, especially in the Criminal Code (KUHP) and Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE). The research method used is normative legal with a regulatory and contextual approach. The results of the study show that the Criminal Code and the ITE Law both provide protection for individual honor, but differ in the scope of application. The Criminal Code focuses more on conventional interactions, while the ITE Law regulates the electronic realm. Although it aims to protect the name well, the provisions in the ITE Law are considered to have weaknesses due to the potential for multiple interpretations that can threaten freedom of expression. Therefore, a proportional legal interpretation is needed to maintain a balance between protection of personal honor and respect for freedom.

This article analyzes the depiction of Jesus Christ from various scriptural perspectives and examines the impact of the diversity of Christological experiences on Christian faith. Research shows that the Bible presents a varied picture of Jesus: Mark's Gospel presents Him as the Suffering but Powerful Servant; Matthew as the Messianic King and Great Teacher; John as the eternal Logos (Word); and Revelation depicts Him through symbols of glory as King, Judge, and Redeemer. The diversity of Christological experiences produces positive impacts in the form of deeper understanding, theological enrichment, and facilitation of interfaith dialogue. However, this diversity also has the potential to cause misunderstandings, theological conflicts, and identity crises if not properly understood. This article also explores how cultural and historical backgrounds significantly influence interpretations of Jesus, from the first-century Jewish context to contemporary interpretations in various global cultural contexts. In conclusion, although understandings of Jesus continue to evolve according to context, it is important for people to maintain their theological identity while remaining open to various enriching perspectives.

The ability to understand denotative and connotative meanings is important in supporting the development of students' literacy and critical thinking skills in elementary schools. However, in practice, students still have difficulty in distinguishing the two types of meanings, especially in the context of connotative sentences that are figurative and require contextual interpretation. This study aims to analyze the ability of sixth grade elementary school students to identify and understand denotative and connotative meanings through various forms of questions, namely multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, and descriptive, with a qualitative approach using the case study method. The steps of the case study include determining the focus of the study, literature review, case selection, data collection, data processing, data analysis, negotiation of results, and conclusions. The subjects of the study consisted of five sixth grade elementary school students who were analyzed based on their answers to the instruments that had been prepared. The results of the study showed that students had a good basic understanding of denotative and connotative meanings in explicit form. However, they still had difficulty in interpreting connotative meanings contextually and figuratively. The novelty of this study lies in the use of a contextual learning approach that is relevant to students' social and cultural lives, which has been proven to improve students' ability to understand meaning reflectively and critically.

Moral education in Indonesia today faces serious challenges, particularly as many educators place greater emphasis on conceptual aspects rather than real-life exemplification. In fact, moral education plays a central role in shaping students’ character, as taught in Islam and exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This study aims to emphasize the importance of the teacher's role not only as a transmitter of knowledge but also as uswah hasanah (a good role model) for students. Through a literature review of the thoughts of figures such as Imam Al-Ghazali, Ki Hajar Dewantara, KH. Ahmad Dahlan, and the interpretation of Surah Ali-Imran verse 164, it is found that exemplification holds a strategic position in the process of character education. These figures stress the importance of integrating knowledge, attitudes, and behavior in moral education. The interpretation of the Qur'anic verse also shows that the Prophet's mission included not only conceptual teaching but also practical application through exemplary conduct. Therefore, the success of moral education depends heavily on the teacher’s ability to integrate cognitive, affective, and psychomotor approaches in a balanced manner. Real-life role modeling by teachers serves as an effective means of transmitting moral values to students in a holistic and sustainable way.

The revitalization of urban heritage areas in Indonesia, exemplified by Panggung Street in Surabaya, faces multifaceted challenges encompassing the preservation of historical character, socio-economic enhancement, and the creation of inclusive public spaces. Current revitalization efforts often misalign with the area’s authentic features such as inappropriate facade treatments while neglecting accessibility for vulnerable groups and failing to foster effective collaboration among stakeholders. This study employs a descriptive qualitative case study approach, synthesizing field observations, in-depth interviews with local actors, comprehensive literature reviews, and precedent analyses of Braga Street in Bandung and heritage zones in Malacca. Data were analyzed using SWOT and root cause analysis to identify systemic barriers and leverage opportunities, while comparative-historical interpretation contextualized Surabaya’s urban identity. Triangulation ensured methodological rigor and validity. The research culminates in a holistic revitalization framework emphasizing three key strategies: restoration of authentic architectural features, including original colors and ornamentation, enhancement of inclusive infrastructure, such as accessible pedestrian pathways and universal signage and active community participation through workshops and cultural initiatives like the Kya-Kya night market. This integrated approach not only preserves the area’s historical integrity but also fosters social cohesion, economic vitality, and collective pride. The study demonstrates that combining heritage conservation with inclusive design principles can transform urban spaces into dynamic, accessible, and sustainable environments. The findings offer valuable insights for other Southeast Asian cities facing similar heritage revitalization challenges.

The loading and unloading process involves moving goods from one place to another, often requiring specialized equipment such as a wire crane. In maritime operations, unexpected incidents like wire crane breakage can occur. Wire crane breakage refers to damage in the sling wire of a ship's crane, reducing its lifting capacity and causing the wire fibres to unravel. During sea-based fieldwork on the MV. Pacific Bulk, researchers observed a wire crane failure during loading and unloading operations, which caused delays and financial losses. This study aims to identify the causes of wire crane breakage on the MV. Pacific Bulk and examine its technical and operational impacts. Using a qualitative descriptive method and fishbone analysis for data interpretation, the study found several contributing factors: wire corrosion, crane age, lack of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for crane maintenance, insufficient crew, inadequate maintenance, lack of routine inspections, and challenging environmental conditions. The research also highlights the technical and operational consequences of such failures, including delays and economic loss. To address the issue, the study suggests implementing scheduled periodic inspections following SOPs, applying regular lubrication, and maintaining data records of the wire crane’s lifespan. These preventative measures aim to improve operational efficiency and avoid future wire crane failures.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) has a strategic role in Indonesia's economic development. However, the realization of foreign investment is not free from challenges related to legal certainty and protection. This study aims to analyze legal protection for foreign investors in Indonesia, both in terms of applicable legal norms and from the aspect of implementation in the field. Through a literature review, information was collected from various sources in the form of journals, articles, and relevant laws and regulations to gain a broad understanding of legal protection for foreign investors at the normative and implementation levels in Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that Indonesian laws and regulations, especially Law No. 25/2007 concerning Investment, various Bilateral Investment Treaties (BITs), and FTAs provide a comprehensive legal protection framework for foreign investors. In the field, legal uncertainty still arises due to overlapping regulations, frequent policy changes, and different interpretations between institutions. Slow and less transparent licensing bureaucracy, as well as the risk of extortion practices, reduce the attractiveness of investment. Reform efforts such as simplifying licensing through OSS, establishing BKPM as a one-stop shop, and ratifying the Omnibus Law on Job Creation have shown progress in increasing certainty and ease of investment.
