Seventeen is a crucial age in adolescent development, marked by various psychological, social, and cognitive changes. According to Erikson, adolescents at this stage face the psychosocial crisis of “identity versus role confusion,“where they begin to form a sense of self. Piaget explains that they enter the formal operational stage, where abstract and logical thinking emerge. Monks et al. further emphasize that adolescent development is strongly influenced by social interactions with family, peers, and the school environment. This study aims to explore the  psychological  development  dynamics  of  17-year-old  adolescents  and the    influencing factors such as family environment, academic pressure, and social relationships. The research uses a qualitative case study method involving one twelfth-grade high school students. The findings reveal that adolescents at this age begin to show a more stable identity, greater independence, and reflective thinking abilities. However, some also experience anxiety, identity conflicts, and social pressure. These findings highlight the importance of emotional support from both families and schools in guiding adolescents through this transitional stage in a healthy and adaptive way.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is one of the endemic diseases that is still a public health challenge in Indonesia. Although the government has launched various programs, such as 3M Plus and fogging, the number of DHF cases still shows significant variations each year. This study aims to evaluate the community's contribution to controlling DHF by emphasizing the extent to which awareness is applied in real action. The method used is a literature study of 30 scientific articles on DHF published between 2015 and 2024. The results of the analysis show that although adolescents' knowledge of DHF is quite good, the implementation of preventive measures such as cleaning the environment, draining water reservoirs, and eradicating mosquito nests has not been carried out consistently. Several inhibiting factors include low community participation, lack of environmental supervision, and limited support from local governments. Therefore, a more comprehensive approach is needed, including ongoing education, strengthening the role of health cadres, and community-based supervision to increase the effectiveness of DHF control efforts.

The rapid growth of science and technology in the contemporary era has had a considerable impact on social life, especially among adolescents. Adolescents typically encounter difficulty in controlling their emotions and desires, which can lead to deviant behavior or juvenile delinquency. This study intends to evaluate techniques for reducing juvenile delinquency through the function of the family as the first and foremost social unit in an individual's life. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study explores numerous literature and related previous study results. The results of the study reveal that open communication, giving affection, establishing moral and religious beliefs, and regular supervision from parents have an essential role in preventing aberrant conduct in teenagers. In addition, significant family involvement in adolescent life might enhance adolescent resilience to harmful environmental impacts. From these findings, it is recommended that families improve the quality of interactions with adolescents and work together with educational institutions and the community in establishing an environment that fosters positive adolescent development.

This study examines the construction of adolescent identity in Falistiyana's novel Argantara through a sociological literary approach. Adolescent identity is the result of a process of searching for identity that takes place during the transition to adulthood and is greatly influenced by social factors, such as family, school, peers, and community norms. The Argantara novel depicts the complexity of adolescent life through its characters who experience social pressure in various forms, ranging from family expectations, social competition in the school environment, to stigma against differences in social background. This study found that social pressure is a significant factor in shaping and often limiting the expression of adolescent identity. However, the characters in the novel also show various resistance strategies, such as symbolic rebellion, selective adaptation, and the search for meaning through emotional relationships. Using Erikson's identity theory and Pierre Bourdieu's habitus concept, this study concludes that adolescent identity in Argantara is formed through the dialectic between social structure and individual agency. Literature, in this context, not only reflects the social reality of adolescents, but also becomes a medium to criticize the social pressures faced by the younger generation.

Instilling Christian values in adolescents in Indonesia is a strategic effort to form strong character, ethics, and spiritual awareness. In addition to having an impact on individuals, this also creates harmony in a pluralistic society. The family is the first place to build a foundation of faith through teaching, praying together, and being a role model. Parenting patterns greatly influence the growth of adolescent faith. Therefore, Christian families are expected to not only provide material needs, but also attention and love that comes from God to foster adolescent spiritual values. This study aims to determine the form of parenting patterns in instilling Christian values in adolescents aged 13–18 years, as well as the obstacles faced. The method used is qualitative with a naturalistic approach, involving 13 informants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed three parenting patterns, namely democratic, authoritarian, and permissive, with the authoritarian pattern being the most dominant. Mental health issues among adolescents have become an increasingly critical concern, particularly regarding the low level of mental health literacy among the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the role of Instagram as a health promotion medium in improving mental health literacy among adolescents aged 15–18 years. A descriptive quantitative method was employed using the Mental Health Literacy Questionnaire (MHLQ), which was distributed online to 70 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The results indicate a significant positive correlation between the frequency of interaction with mental health promotion content on Instagram and adolescents' mental health literacy levels (ρ = 0.449; p < 0.05). Most respondents demonstrated moderate to high levels of mental health literacy, suggesting that Instagram has the potential to be an effective tool for enhancing adolescents' understanding and awareness of mental health issues. This study provides evidence that social media can serve as a non-formal intervention tool to support efforts in increasing mental health literacy among Indonesian adolescents.

Adolescence is a complex developmental stage marked by identity exploration and intense emotional changes. Teenagers often struggle to express their feelings openly, both to others and to themselves. This difficulty is exacerbated by cultural factors, lack of emotional education, and the stigma surrounding mental health, which prevent adolescents from finding a safe space to express themselves. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the empty chair technique in building intrapersonal communication and creating a safe space for adolescent self-expression. The research method used is qualitative descriptive through a literature review. The results show that the empty chair technique from Gestalt therapy is effective in helping adolescents express inner conflicts, increase self-awareness, emotional regulation, and self-esteem, particularly among victims of bullying. This technique allows adolescents to engage in symbolic dialogue with parts of themselves in a reflective and therapeutic manner. The implications of this research suggest that the empty chair technique can be a strategic approach in school and community counseling to support the holistic psychosocial development of adolescents.

Adolescents are an age group that is vulnerable to social conflict due to emotional immaturity and the search for self-identity. Amidst the increasing cases of violence and intolerance among adolescents, Christian Religious Education (PAK) has strategic potential in forming peaceful characters and constructive conflict resolution skills. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through an in-depth literature review of various literature and scientific journals from the last five to ten years. The results of the study indicate that PAK plays a role in internalizing the values of love, forgiveness, tolerance, and justice that are relevant to building a culture of peace. In addition, PAK also contributes to forming a healthy social identity among adolescents, strengthening multicultural awareness, and providing skills in resolving conflicts non-violently. The instillation of these values is carried out through a holistic approach that includes cognitive, affective, and practical learning. Christian Religious Education not only forms religious understanding, but also plays a role as a means of social transformation amidst the complex reality of conflict. Thus, PAK can be an important element in efforts to prevent conflict and form a young generation with a peaceful personality.  These findings are expected to be the basis for developing a curriculum and practice of Christian education that is more responsive to the social challenges faced by today's youth.
