Tarakan City, as the largest city in North Kalimantan Province, plays a strategic role as a center for economics, trade, and tourism. Good accessibility through its international airport and seaport makes Tarakan a major gateway to various destinations in North Kalimantan. This potential is supported by its rich natural resources and cultural heritage, as well as its position as a distribution hub for goods and services. However, the development of the tourism sector remains hampered by the limited availability of premium accommodation facilities that meet international standards, particularly for domestic and international tourists, as well as business travelers. This final project proposes the design of a four-star hotel in Tarakan City as a solution to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of the tourism sector. The concept used is Neo-Vernacular Architecture, a design approach that combines traditional architectural values with modern needs and technology. This concept aims to maintain local identity, enrich the building's aesthetic qualities, and create comfortable spaces suited to the local tropical climate. During the design process, a thorough analysis of site conditions, climate characteristics, local cultural potential, and four-star hotel operational standards was conducted. The traditional architecture of the Baloy Mayo traditional house served as the primary inspiration, both in terms of form, decorative elements, and spatial philosophy, resulting in a design that is contextual and representative of Tidung culture as one of Tarakan's identities. The resulting design is expected to provide quality accommodation facilities that not only support the needs of tourists and business people, but also become a modern architectural icon that respects and preserves local culture. The presence of this hotel is expected to contribute to the development of the tourism industry and strengthen the image of Tarakan City as a leading destination in North Kalimantan.

Indonesia, as the world's largest archipelagic nation, holds a strategic position while simultaneously facing significant challenges in maintaining the sovereignty and security of its maritime territory. Increasingly complex maritime threats, such as illegal fishing, smuggling, and potential geopolitical conflicts, demand a transformation in maritime defense strategies to be more efficient and sustainable. In an era of increasing global awareness of the climate crisis, the maritime sector, including the defense sector, is being encouraged to decarbonize through the implementation of environmentally friendly ship technology. This research uses a literature review approach by examining various findings related to sustainable propulsion technology innovations relevant to the development of Indonesia's maritime defense fleet. The study results show that a hydrogen- and battery-based hybrid propulsion system can reduce carbon emissions by up to 73% and increase energy efficiency by 35%. In addition, wind-assisted propulsion sistem (WAPS) technology such as Flettner rotors and wing-sails contributes significantly to reducing fuel consumption by up to 30%, while extending ship cruising range without the need for intensive refueling. Meanwhile, the application of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)-based propeller design optimization has been proven to reduce energy consumption by 13.2% and reduce noise levels by up to 15 dB, which greatly supports the needs of stealth operations in military missions. This study concludes that the implementation of environmentally friendly ship technology not only provides benefits in terms of energy efficiency and emission reduction, but also strengthens the operational resilience and strategic competitiveness of the Indonesian naval fleet amidst the dynamics of global maritime security. Thus, the Green Navy concept can be seen as a relevant and urgently needed sustainable defense strategy.

Material handling is a term for transportation or transport activities carried out by industrial companies, which involve moving raw materials, semi-finished goods or finished goods from one location to another predetermined location. Apart from that, material handling is also important in quality control, where 3-5% of damaged goods are caused by material handling. The aim of this research is to identify and redesign the layout conditions of concrete production facilities at PT. XYZ. The method of this research is the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC), Activity Relationship Daigram (ARD) and Total Closeness Rating (TCR) methods. In the current layout conditions, the sand warehouse and crushed stone warehouse work stations should be close to the two hoppers, namely the batching plant hopper and the asphalt mixing plant hopper, but in the actual conditions these two work stations are not close to each other. In the new facility layout there are changes and relocation of work stations based on the degree of proximity. Future research is expected to consider the amount of time generated during the material handling process and also consider cost aspects during the process of designing changes to the facility layout.

Phishing is an evolving form of cybercrime that targets users' sensitive information through URL manipulation. Conventional detection methods such as blacklists and signature-based approaches have become increasingly inadequate in addressing the dynamic variations of modern phishing attacks. This study evaluates the effectiveness of Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) variants, such Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Bidirectional LSTM (Bi-LSTM), and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), in detecting phishing threats based on URL data. The methodology involves a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of scholarly publications from the past ten years, complemented by experimental implementation of the models using a public dataset from Kaggle. Literature findings show that Bi-LSTM consistently achieves the highest accuracy, up to 99%, while GRU stands out for its computational efficiency. Experimental results support these findings, with Bi-LSTM achieving an accuracy of 96.22%, GRU 96.29%, and LSTM 95.43%. Classification metrics indicate that RNN-based models perform very well in detecting benign and defacement URLs, although their performance on phishing URLs remains challenged, particularly in terms of recall. These results confirm that RNNs remain a promising approach for phishing detection systems, especially when integrated into hybrid models with complementary architectures. This study is expected to provide a foundation for developing precise and adaptive AI systems to combat increasingly sophisticated phishing threats.

This study examines how colonial power is articulated through the form, spatial layout, and symbolism of Bogor Palace, and how post-independence transformations in function and discourse shape its new identity. As a colonial architectural legacy, Bogor Palace holds historical significance and reflects power dynamics, cultural representation, and spatial acculturation in both colonial and postcolonial contexts. The research highlights the importance of reassessing colonial architecture as a medium for representing power and ideology, especially in buildings that remain national symbols. Using a qualitative approach with literature review and visual analysis, the study applies Michel Foucault’s theory of power and discourse to reveal embedded power structures, and Erwin Panofsky’s iconography and iconology to decode visual symbols and meanings. Findings show that the neoclassical European style of the palace reflects colonial dominance, yet its adaptation through local materials, construction techniques, and climate-responsive elements indicates a complex process of acculturation. Initially marginal, local culture becomes integrated into the building’s design. After independence, the palace was resemanticized from a colonial icon to a national emblem, illustrating a shift in identity and power narratives. Today, restoration efforts not only preserve its historical value but also reaffirm role as a dynamic cultural space shaping Indonesia’s collective memory.
