Fixed asset management is a crucial component in supporting the performance of local governments. However, the Polewali Mandar Regency Government still faces obstacles in managing assets conventionally, such as the risk of recording errors, duplicate data, and difficulties in field data verification which is time-consuming. This study aims to design and build a Web-Based Fixed Asset Management Information System integrated with Quick Response Code (QR Code) technology as a digital solution for real-time asset data collection, tracking, and monitoring. The approach taken for system development is known as the Waterfall approach, encompassing the phases of analyzing requirements, system design, execution, evaluation, and ongoing support. The creation of the system was carried out utilizing the PHP coding language, the MySQL database system, and Tailwind CSS to achieve a mobile-friendly interface. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and literature studies at the General Affairs Division of the Regional Secretariat of Polewali Mandar Regency. The result of this research is a fixed asset management information system featuring the generation of unique QR Code labels for each asset, category and location management, and reporting features divided into three access levels: Admin, Operator, and Verificator. Based on the system testing results, an average score of above 4.00 was obtained for indicators of ease of use (user-friendly), access speed, and information accuracy. In conclusion, the implementation of this QR Code-based system is proven to increase the efficiency of the asset identification process in the field, minimize manual input errors, and improve accountability in regional asset management in Polewali Mandar Regency.

The adoption of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) under the IMO MASS Code represents the most consequential redefinition of the Officer of the Watch (OOW) role in the history of modern seafaring. While autonomous navigation technologies progressively assume operational functions traditionally performed by human officers, the decision-making competencies, supervisory responsibilities, and COLREGs compliance challenges that arise at the human-autonomy interface remain empirically undercharacterized — particularly in the complex, high-traffic, and archipelagic shipping environments of Southeast Asia. This study investigates autonomous navigation decision-making and the evolving OOW role in the context of MASS integration within Indonesian shipping corridors. Employing a qualitative research design, data were generated through semi-structured interviews with senior deck officers, maritime education experts, and maritime regulatory practitioners, supplemented by systematic document analysis of IMO MASS Code provisions and Indonesian domestic shipping regulatory frameworks. Analysis proceeded through thematic analysis, cross-group comparison, and narrative synthesis. Findings reveal that OOW competency frameworks face four structurally unresolved challenges under MASS integration: situational awareness degradation in remote supervisory roles, COLREGs interpretive ambiguity in human-autonomy encounter scenarios, institutional unpreparedness in maritime education curricula, and regulatory gaps in Indonesian domestic MASS governance. The study argues for the urgent development of a MASS-competent OOW framework that integrates autonomous systems literacy, adaptive decision-making training, and regulatory alignment within Indonesian maritime education and policy.

The integration of Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) into modern bridge operations has fundamentally transformed maritime navigation, introducing a complex layer of multimodal technical discourse that demands sophisticated linguistic competence from seafarers. Despite its centrality to contemporary watch-keeping, the Maritime English embedded within ECDIS interfaces, alert systems, and associated technical documentation remains critically underexplored from an English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and multiliteracy perspective. This study examines the discourse features of ECDIS-based watch-keeping communication and investigates the Maritime English literacy challenges encountered by Indonesian deck cadet officers at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran (STIP) Jakarta. Drawing on qualitative data from ECDIS interface text analysis and semi-structured interviews with cadets, lecturers, and navigation experts, the study employs thematic analysis, cross-group comparison, and narrative synthesis. Findings reveal that ECDIS discourse is characterized by high terminological density, imperative-modal structures, and layered multimodal meaning-making that cadets are systematically underprepared to navigate. The study argues for the integration of a multiliteracy-informed pedagogical framework within Maritime English and ECDIS training curricula, with concrete implications for maritime educators, curriculum designers, and institutional policymakers.

Public Relations (PR) of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) is a strategic unit that manages various important documents in the institution's administrative and communication activities. However, document loan management in this unit is still done manually, making it vulnerable to data loss, late returns, and difficulty in monitoring document status. This community service research aims to design and implement an integrated web-based document loan information system in the UINSU Public Relations sector. The system was developed using the PHP programming language with a MySQL database, implementing a modern, responsive interface. The system's main features include item/document data management, loan and return recording, and real-time stock monitoring. The results of the community service show that the system is able to improve document management efficiency, reduce recording errors, and make it easier for officers to monitor loan status. This system is expected to become a document asset management model that can be adopted by other units within the UINSU environment.

This study aims to evaluate the level of user satisfaction with the user interface of the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) at Esa Unggul University using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method. This method assesses user satisfaction based on five key dimensions: content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach by distributing questionnaires to active Esa Unggul University students as primary system users. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software to test validity, reliability, and the relationships between variables that influence user satisfaction with the SIAKAD interface. The results show that, in general, users are quite satisfied with the SIAKAD interface, particularly in the ease of use and accuracy dimensions, which obtained the highest scores. This indicates that usability and information accuracy are the dominant factors in creating a positive user experience. However, the timeliness and content dimensions still require further improvement, as they were rated as less optimal in providing fast and comprehensive information. These findings highlight the importance of an intuitive, efficient, and informative interface design in enhancing user satisfaction. This research is expected to serve as a reference for Esa Unggul University in developing and improving its Academic Information System to become more effective, efficient, and user-friendly. Evaluating user satisfaction through the EUCS approach provides valuable insights for system developers to refine the interface, improve information quality, and enhance system responsiveness. Thus, the results of this study are expected to contribute to improving academic service quality and supporting the digitalization of education at Esa Unggul University.

The main goal of developing a Website-Based Employee Attendance System with the integration of geolocation and selfies at the Central Papua Provincial Bapperida Office is to improve the accuracy and efficiency of recording employee attendance. This system is designed to verify the identity and location of employees in real-time, thereby reducing the potential for fraud while increasing the transparency of attendance data. The website developed has a simple and easy-to-use interface, allowing each employee to make a presence quickly and practically. This study reviews the latest attendance management technology with a focus on security, reliability, and ease of use. The results of the study show that a web-based attendance system with geolocation and selfie support can optimize time and resources, as well as support more accurate and integrated attendance data management. Thus, this system is expected to be a strategic solution in improving the quality of employee attendance management at the Central Papua Provincial Bapperida Office, as well as strengthening transparency and accountability in government administration governance.

This article discusses the design and development of a website for the Central Papua Provincial Social Service, Women's Empowerment, and Child Protection. This website is designed as a means of complete, accurate, and easily accessible information to the public. The main goal of development is to increase transparency, accountability, and strengthen communication between the service and the community. The design process includes needs analysis, user-friendly interface design, and the development of responsive web technology-based systems. The main features implemented include the presentation of program and service information, news and activity publications, and interactive channels for complaints and consultations. The results of the development show that the website is able to facilitate public access to official information, improve the efficiency of data dissemination, and support openness in public services. Thus, this website is expected to be a strategic medium in strengthening the role of the Central Papua Provincial Social Service, Women's Empowerment, and Child Protection in providing transparent, accountable, and community-oriented services.

This research is motivated by the problem of inefficient manual recording of employee attendance at the Central Papua Provincial Bawaslu, which often causes errors and inaccurate attendance data. The main goal of the research is to develop a PHP and MySQL-based digital attendance system that is able to record attendance automatically, real-time, and integrated. The research methods include needs analysis, database and interface design, program code implementation, and system testing. The results of the study show that the digital attendance system developed has succeeded in facilitating the recording of entry times, exit times, and recapitulation of employee attendance with a higher level of accuracy than manual methods. The implications of the implementation of this system are increased administrative efficiency, ease of monitoring, and the provision of more valid attendance data to support fast and appropriate decision-making within the Central Papua Provincial Bawaslu. Thus, this digital attendance system can be a practical solution in improving the quality of human resource management in government agencies.

Learning to read the Al-Qur'an at TPA Al-Amin Brahu Ponorogo still relies on conventional methods, which lead to low motivation and boredom among students. This study aims to design and develop interactive learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR) through the AR-Iqro' Jilid 5 application on the Android platform. The development method employed is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using the Waterfall model, which encompasses the stages of planning, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.The results of the study indicate that the application performs exceptionally well, with material validation reaching 96%, media design at 96%, and user testing at 97%. These findings prove that the AR-Iqro' Jilid 5 application is highly feasible for use due to its ease of navigation and intuitive visual interface. The implication of this research is the availability of an innovative alternative learning medium capable of increasing students' interest in learning the Al-Qur'an, with the potential for broader implementation in technology-based Islamic educational institutions.

This research investigates intelligent cooling system design for main ship engines operating in tropical waters, integrating advanced machinery engineering with human factors to address thermal management challenges affecting engine performance, reliability, and crew operational effectiveness. Tropical maritime environments impose severe cooling demands through elevated seawater temperatures (28-32°C), high ambient conditions (28-35°C), and accelerated biofouling, reducing conventional cooling system effectiveness by 15-25% while increasing maintenance burdens and operational risks. Through qualitative analysis involving marine engineers, chief engineers with tropical operational experience, cooling system manufacturers, naval architects, automation specialists, and maritime training institutions, this study examines how intelligent cooling systems incorporating variable-speed pumps, adaptive control algorithms, predictive maintenance, and crew-centered interfaces can optimize thermal management while supporting effective human-machine collaboration. Results demonstrate that intelligent systems can reduce cooling energy consumption by 20-35%, improve temperature stability by 50-65%, extend maintenance intervals by 40-80%, and enhance crew situational awareness through intuitive monitoring interfaces, while requiring comprehensive training programs developing technical understanding and operational competencies. Key implementation challenges include control system complexity, sensor reliability in harsh marine environments, integration with existing engine management platforms, crew competency development requirements, and lifecycle cost justification. Findings reveal that successful intelligent cooling system implementation requires holistic sociotechnical approach addressing machinery engineering optimization, automation technology deployment, and human capability development through coordinated design and training strategies. This research contributes to marine engineering literature by providing integrated frameworks for intelligent system design incorporating machinery performance, automation capabilities, and human factors supporting operational excellence in tropical maritime operations.

In today's digital landscape, rapid and accurate access to information has become a fundamental requirement for educational institutions. Previously, SMP Swasta Karya Bhakti Medan relied heavily on conventional methods for disseminating information, such as verbal communication or limited printed media. This situation frequently resulted in delays in delivering news to guardians and limited the promotional reach to the broader community. Addressing these issues, this internship project focuses on the design and development of a school profile website as a solution for information digitalization. The system development process involved several stages, including field data collection, user-friendly interface design, and the coding implementation phase. The website is designed to host essential information, ranging from the institutional profile, vision and mission, and facilities, to student activity documentation. To ensure optimal accessibility, the site is hosted using the Netlify service, allowing for continuous online access. The final outcome of this project is a responsive and easily accessible digital information portal. The presence of this website is expected to enhance the school's image and facilitate parents and prospective students in obtaining valid information regarding SMP Swasta Karya Bhakti Medan without distance or time constraints.

This study aims to analyze the performance of Android-based attendance applications used at PT PLN ULP West Sumba by integrating two evaluation methods, namely WebQual 4.0 and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). This attendance application functions to monitor employee attendance digitally so that it is expected to be able to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data recording. Evaluations are conducted to assess the extent to which the application meets the needs of users as well as the expected performance. WebQual 4.0 is used to measure the quality of user experience in terms of ease of access, interactivity, trust, and satisfaction, while IPA is used to compare the level of user interest with application performance based on four main attributes: system quality, information quality, service quality, and usage quality. The research data was collected through a survey with questionnaires compiled according to WebQual 4.0 and IPA indicators, involving application users at PT PLN ULP West Sumba. The results show that the majority of users are satisfied with the ease of use and performance of the application, but there are aspects that need to be improved, especially the speed of the system and a more user-friendly interface design. The science analysis emphasizes that the quality of systems and information is a crucial factor that must be a priority for development. This research provides strategic recommendations for PT PLN ULP West Sumba to improve the performance of the attendance application and support the company's operational needs in a sustainable manner.

Maneuvering operations represent the most dynamically complex and operationally hazardous phase of a vessel's voyage, demanding precise real-time coordination between deck officers at the bridge and engineer officers in the engine room. Communication breakdowns at this critical interdepartmental interface have been consistently implicated in propulsion-related maritime accidents, yet the collaborative decision-making processes that govern bridge-engine room interaction during maneuvering remain insufficiently examined in the research literature. This study investigates collaborative decision-making patterns between deck and engineer officers during main engine telegraph operations, employing a qualitative observational design grounded in human factors engineering and Crew Resource Management theory. Through 72 hours of structured simulation observation across two maritime training centers and 36 semi-structured officer interviews, the study documents communication pattern frequencies, decision latency behaviors, information-sharing strategies, and CRM competency profiles across both officer categories and experience levels. Findings reveal persistent asymmetries in situational awareness, authority gradient distortions under time pressure, and a systematic underutilization of standardized communication protocols during non-routine maneuvering events. The study contributes a dual-department collaborative framework for bridge-engine room operations and offers evidence-based recommendations for integrated officer training design and propulsion safety protocol development.

This study examines the seismic performance of slender Air Traffic Control (ATC) towers in high‑hazard regions (PGA > 0.4g), where vertical taper, torsional eccentricity, and top‑heavy cab mass can significantly increase drift, base shear, and collapse risk relative to conventional buildings. Existing studies often rely on linear procedures and outdated provisions, leading to underestimation of nonlinear behaviour and limited guidance for ATC towers designed to SNI 1726:2019. The research aims to quantify these irregularity effects and formulate design recommendations that satisfy Immediate Occupancy, Life Safety, and Collapse Prevention performance targets. The methodology couples response spectrum analysis, using a site‑specific Padang spectrum consistent with SNI 1726:2019 and ASCE 7‑16, with nonlinear pushover analysis interpreted through FEMA/ATC performance‑based criteria. A parametric study is performed on three cab configurations small, medium, and large modelled as 5%, 15%, and 25% mass ratios at the tower head, while keeping a 10 m × 10 m hybrid core–frame shaft constant. Results indicate that larger cab mass produces systematic but moderate increases in global displacement, story drift, and base shear, while plastic hinges localize primarily in the upper stories and cab‑support region, yielding performance levels from Immediate Occupancy to Collapse Prevention. Overall, the tower meets code drift limits and acceptable performance if local strengthening is provided around the shaft–cab interface, offering a calibrated reference for top‑heavy ATC tower design in Indonesian high‑seismic settings and identifying priorities for future time‑history and soil–structure interaction studies.

This study examines the interaction between word order, focus, and prosody in Indonesian and English within the framework of the syntax–prosody interface. While previous studies have largely focused on Indo-European languages, limited attention has been given to how these components interact in typologically distinct languages such as Indonesian. To address this gap, the study employs a mixed-method design combining corpus-based analysis and experimental approaches, including production and perception tasks. The corpus data reveal that English predominantly relies on prosodic marking to signal focus, whereas Indonesian demonstrates greater flexibility in word order, using syntactic fronting alongside prosodic cues. Experimental results further show that pitch (F0) is a stronger predictor of focus interpretation in English, whereas in Indonesian, a more distributed system involving both syntactic and prosodic features is observed. Statistical analyses, including linear mixed-effects models, confirm that language type, focus position, and prosodic parameters significantly influence focus interpretation. The findings contribute to the theoretical development of the syntax–prosody interface by demonstrating that focus realization is shaped by language-specific constraints while still reflecting universal principles of information structure. Methodologically, the study highlights the effectiveness of integrating corpus and experimental data in cross-linguistic research. These results provide new insights into typological variation in focus marking and offer a more comprehensive understanding of how syntax and prosody interact in natural language.

The application of Large Language Models (LLM) in public services encourages government agencies to adopt Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)-based chatbots as interfaces for regulatory knowledge and official documents. Although RAG is designed to increase the supportability of answers to authoritative sources, various studies show that this system is still vulnerable to hallucinations, which have the potential to reduce public trust and pose legal risks. This article presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on the use of RAG in government chatbots with a focus on the definition, mitigation strategies, and evaluation of groundedness. The literature search was conducted in the period 2021–2025 through the SpringerLink, Scopus, and Taylor & Francis databases, resulting in 7,947 articles filtered using the PRISMA framework to obtain 100 articles Q1–Q2. Based on eight research questions, this study maps publication trends, document domains, RAG architecture, retrieval strategies, definitions of groundedness, and evaluation metrics used. The SLR results indicate conceptual fragmentation in the definition and measurement of groundedness, with the dominance of text-similarity-based metrics that are inadequate for regulatory contexts. As a conceptual contribution, this article formulates the Semantic Alignment Score (SAS) as a groundedness metric based on semantic alignment, evidence coverage, and entailment relationships, positioned to support the evaluation and auditing of government document chatbots.

The development of bioinformatics has led to the availability of large amounts of genetic data through public databases such as NCBI Gene, OMIM, and Ensembl. However, the complexity of data presentation and the dominance of English language hinder students, novice researchers, and the general public in understanding the relationship between genes and disease. This research aims to develop a simple web-based information system to identify disease-causing genes with concise, Indonesian-language, and user-friendly information presentation. The method used is Research and Development (R&D), which includes literature study, needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The system was developed using a MySQL relational database with a web interface that displays basic gene information, chromosome location, biological function, and gene-disease relationships, complete with simple visualizations. Black Box testing results indicate that all main functions run according to user requirements. This system is expected to improve bioinformatics literacy and become an effective learning medium.

Manual management of sports field bookings is still widely practiced and often leads to scheduling conflicts, data recording errors, and low service efficiency. This study aimed to design and develop a desktop-based sports field booking application that automates the booking process and manages schedules in a structured manner. The research employed a system design and development method using an object-oriented programming (OOP) approach. Data were collected through direct observation of the booking process, interviews with field managers, and documentation of system requirements. The application was developed using the Python programming language with the PyQt5 framework for the graphical user interface and MySQL as the database management system. The results showed that the developed application is capable of managing field data, schedules, bookings, and user information in an integrated manner while reducing recording errors and minimizing scheduling conflicts. The application of OOP resulted in a modular, well-organized, and maintainable system structure. This application is expected to improve the efficiency and accuracy of sports field booking management and provide a practical solution for implementing a computerized booking system.

Administration is an activity that must be managed effectively to support public service quality, and one of the main keys to achieving a good administrative system is the utilization of information technology, which is currently developing rapidly. Administrative activities at the Wendewa Barat village hall are still carried out using conventional and ineffective methods, particularly in population data recording, which relies on manual bookkeeping. This approach is time-consuming, labor-intensive, prone to errors, and incurs higher operational costs. Therefore, an integrated system is needed to manage administrative activities more efficiently, accurately, and systematically. This research aims to develop a web-based population administration system to improve administrative performance at the Wendewa Barat village office. The system development employs the waterfall method, which consists of several stages, including requirements analysis, system design, implementation, system testing, and maintenance. The system is built using the PHP programming language with the CodeIgniter framework and utilizes a MySQL database for data management. Additionally, jQuery is applied in several system functions to enhance system interactivity, effectiveness, and user interface attractiveness.

The rapid development of digital technology highlights the importance of introducing computational thinking skills from an early age, including at the elementary school level. One effective approach to introducing basic programming concepts is through block-based coding learning media that are visual, interactive, and engaging. This community service activity aimed to improve elementary school students’ understanding and interest in basic coding through hands-on training using block-based coding media. The program was implemented with sixth-grade students at Yayasan Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Medan. The activity employed a hands-on training approach consisting of several stages, including an introduction to basic coding concepts, familiarization with the Blockly Games interface, and practical exercises involving puzzle and maze challenges designed to develop logical thinking, sequencing, and problem-solving skills. The evaluation was conducted through direct observation of student participation and assessment of students’ ability to complete the given challenges. The results demonstrated that the use of Blockly Games effectively increased students’ enthusiasm, active engagement, and understanding of basic programming logic. Students who initially perceived programming as difficult showed greater interest and confidence due to the colorful, visual block-based instructions that were easy to understand and enjoyable. This community service activity is expected to serve as an effective introductory model for coding education and to support the development of digital literacy among elementary school students.
