Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in strengthening the local economy through job creation and increasing community income. In the perspective of Islamic economics, MSME empowerment is not only profit-oriented but also emphasizes values such as justice, honesty, and transparency in business activities. However, studies on Islamic economic-based MSME empowerment strategies in the local culinary sector, particularly among micro-scale businesses in regions such as Bengkulu City, remain limited. This study aims to analyze the strategies of Islamic economic-based MSME empowerment in supporting local economic strengthening at Oishi Dimsum in Bengkulu City. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results indicate that the strategies include product innovation, the use of digital media, improvement of service quality, and strengthening of business management. The implementation of Islamic economic principles is reflected in the use of halal raw materials, price transparency, and ethical business practices. Furthermore, the business contributes to local economic strengthening by creating employment opportunities and increasing community income. This study concludes that Islamic economic-based MSME empowerment plays an important role in supporting sustainable local economic development.

This research is motivated by the complex problems of street children, vagrants, and beggars in Jambi City, which are influenced by poverty, urbanization, and weak social protection. This phenomenon not only impacts public order but also reflects the suboptimal social welfare system at the regional level. Although local governments have implemented various policies through social order and rehabilitation approaches, their effectiveness still faces various structural and cultural challenges. This study uses Bryson's Policy Implementation Mapping theoretical framework, which includes indicators of interests, resources, channels, potential participation, level of influence, implications, and actions as the main analysis. The research approach used is a qualitative case study design to understand the dynamics of policy implementation in depth. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, with informants selected using purposive sampling until data saturation was achieved. The results show that policy implementation mapping has been carried out through collaboration between the Social Service and the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) with a structured preventive, repressive, and rehabilitative approach. However, implementation has not been optimal due to limited rehabilitation facilities, lack of coordination between agencies, low community participation, and high mobility of beggars from outside the region. Furthermore, there is a gap between high administrative achievements and the reality on the ground, which still shows a high rate of returning to the streets. This study concludes that mapping policy implementation requires a more holistic, sustainable approach based on economic empowerment and strengthened cross-sectoral coordination to address this social issue more effectively and effectively.

This community service activity aims to enhance public understanding of the role of infrastructure in supporting quality of life, particularly through the utilization of the Sub PPKBD Tambakkemerakan Community Hall in Krian as a social and educational space. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which emphasizes active community involvement in every stage of the activity, from problem identification to program implementation. The activities were carried out through a series of events that combined elements of togetherness, religiosity, and education, such as communal iftar (breaking the fast), congregational prayers, and an offline webinar featuring student speakers. The results indicate an improvement in community understanding of the importance of utilizing social infrastructure not only as a gathering place but also as a medium for learning and empowerment. In addition, the activity strengthened social interaction, increased community solidarity, and encouraged active participation in utilizing available facilities more productively. Despite several challenges, such as time constraints and differences in participants’ levels of understanding, the activity overall had a positive impact in promoting the optimization of social infrastructure functions. Therefore, the continuation of similar programs is necessary to support sustainable improvements in community quality of life.

The study of power in higher education institutions is important because power dynamics influence not only formal organizational systems but also informal relationships within academic communities. This research aims to analyze patterns of power manifestation in higher education institutions, understand their influence on organizational behavior, and identify the structural and cultural aspects involved in the process. The method applied in this study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), conducted through collecting, reviewing, and synthesizing various relevant literature related to power and governance in higher education. The findings indicate that pro-social manifestations of power and structural empowerment can positively contribute to job satisfaction and create a healthier and more conducive academic climate. On the other hand, centralized authority and unequal power relations may generate various negative impacts on organizations, such as reduced participation and institutional effectiveness. Therefore, higher education institutions need to implement a more participatory and adaptive governance model to minimize the negative effects of power asymmetry while strengthening collaboration, inclusiveness, and the overall quality of the academic environment.

This research was conducted to describe the condition of displaced communities who experience limitations in meeting basic needs, such as decent housing, access to education, and health services. Socio-economic inequality is the main factor that affects the quality of life of vulnerable groups, including children, adults, and the elderly. The Rumah Asa program is designed as an effort to provide protection, psychological support, and economic empowerment through skills training and health services according to needs. The research used a qualitative approach through interviews, field observations, and questionnaire dissemination to gain an in-depth understanding of the respondents' living situation. The research population consisted of displaced individuals who had the potential to become beneficiaries of the program. The data obtained were analyzed to identify patterns of vulnerability and intervention needs. The results showed that each respondent faced unstable socio-economic conditions, with limited income, lack of family support, and high health risks. The discussion showed that neglect is multidimensional and requires comprehensive interventions that include material, emotional, social, and health aspects. The conclusion of the study confirms that the Rumah Asa Program has great potential as a model of effective social intervention in improving the quality of life of vulnerable groups, as long as it is supported by the collaboration of the community, government, and social institutions.

This study aims to examine the service performance of the Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Agency (DPPPA) of Gorontalo Regency in handling cases of violence against children. The study focuses on addressing the service performance from several aspects; (a) productivity, (b) service quality, (c) responsiveness, (d) responsibility, and € accountability. This study was conducted based on the persistently high number of cases of violence against children, which require effective, responsive, and accountable public service handling from the local government. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that service productivity is fairly good, as reflected in a clear case-handling flow, though it remains constrained by limited human resources and cross-sector coordination. Service quality is considered positive in terms of empathetic attitudes and the availability of private service spaces; however, the quality of physical facilities and the availability of professional personnel still need improvement. Officers’ responsiveness is relatively quick at the initial stage, but follow-up information on cases is not consistently provided. Responsibility for implementing procedures is in accordance with standard operating procedures, although completion times are often lengthy. Meanwhile, administrative accountability functions well, but the transparency of information to victims still needs to be strengthened.

Village institutions play an important role in supporting participatory and sustainable rural development. The Village Law No. 6 of 2014 recognizes village autonomy and emphasizes the importance of community participation through Village Community Institutions (Lembaga Kemasyarakatan Desa/LKD). However, the implementation of these institutions in practice has not always functioned effectively. This study aims to analyze the role of village community institutions in supporting village development and to identify the factors that influence their effectiveness in Oematamboli Village, Lobalain District, Rote Ndao Regency. This research employs an empirical legal research method with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through interviews and field observations involving village government officials, community institution administrators, and community leaders, while secondary data were obtained from documents and relevant regulations. The results indicate that the functions of LKD, including the Community Empowerment Institution (LPM), Neighborhood Associations (RT), and Community Associations (RW), have not been implemented optimally in supporting village development. This condition is reflected in the limited participation of LKD in development planning, weak absorption of community aspirations, and low community participation in development activities. Several factors influencing this condition include limited human resource capacity, inadequate infrastructure, low community participation, and limited development funding. Therefore, strengthening institutional capacity, improving coordination, and increasing community participation are necessary to enhance the effectiveness of village development.

Sumbersari Village is one of the few places where child marriage is still a problem. Children's mental health, education, and future prospects are all negatively impacted by this practice. The KKN (Community Service Program) group organizes community service projects that teach fifth and sixth graders about the dangers of child marriage and give them the opportunity to socialize. One of the strategies used is a question and answer session with incentives to increase student engagement, as well as presenting material in simple language and facilitating interactive conversations. The results show that students' interest and knowledge about child marriage risks increases. This activity has limitations due to its limited reach, especially for elementary school children, and the relatively basic nature of the subject matter. Therefore, for initiatives to combat child marriage to be more successful and sustainable, follow-up programs involving parents, adolescents, and community leaders are essential. Collaboration with relevant parties is needed to create deeper policies, as well as increase awareness of the importance of women's education and empowerment in preventing child marriage.

Smoking behavior is a modifiable risk factor for hypertension, with hypertension prevalence generally increasing alongside higher cigarette consumption and longer smoking duration. Research on hypertension prevalence among productive-age smokers in Indonesia using national-scale data remains scarce in Indonesian publications. This study aims to analyze factors influencing hypertension among productive-age smokers in Indonesia in 2015, utilizing data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) 2015. The research employs a quantitative design with an analytical observational approach using a cross-sectional study. The sample comprises 10,677 productive-age smokers in Indonesia, selected via multi-stage random sampling across 32 provinces in 2015. Independent variables include age, gender, employment status, work region, cigarettes smoked, smoking duration, and daily cigarette consumption, while the dependent variable is hypertension. Hypertension prevalence among productive-age smokers in Indonesia in 2015 reached 8.53%, with significant predictors including age ≥36 years, female gender, employment status, smoking intensity of 21–30 or >31 cigarettes/day, and smoking duration >16 years—reflecting multifactorial interactions of biological, behavioral, and socioeconomic factors. Accordingly, recommendations include routine screening at primary health centers for at-risk groups, tobacco control programs based on dose-duration, economic empowerment for the unemployed, intensive screening with lifestyle counseling by healthcare providers, and longitudinal designs for future causal studies.

This research aims to analyze the protection of state forest areas against unauthorized forest product collection in Pasangkayu Regency, specifically from the perspective of preventive and repressive legal protection. The research method used is normative juridical with a descriptive-analytical nature, utilizing secondary data collected through literature studies. The results indicate that forest area protection in Pasangkayu Regency is currently still dominated by a repressive approach, namely legal actions taken after violations occur, such as enforcement operations and criminal proceedings. However, this approach has proven ineffective in providing a maximum deterrent effect due to the high rate of violations triggered by low legal awareness and the community's economic dependence on forest products. Meanwhile, preventive efforts such as monitoring and legal counseling have not operated optimally due to limitations in human resources and budget. Therefore, a balance between preventive and repressive approaches is required, along with strengthening community participation through economic empowerment to enhance the effectiveness of forest protection.

This community service program aims to empower students. The lack of digital business literacy and knowledge about Islamic entrepreneurship in Islamic-based schools, as well as the application of sharia business principles, are the main drivers of this program. The activity implementation technique uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology. Problem identification, needs analysis, preparation of materials and instruments, pre-testing, training in Islamic business ethics and entrepreneurship theory, digital business practices, mentoring, post-testing, and program evaluation are some of the steps included in the activity. A total of 60 12th-grade students and ten instructors participated in this activity. The results showed that students' knowledge of sharia-based digital business, digital marketing skills, and entrepreneurial drive all increased. Student interest in starting a business increased by 78%, and participants' understanding of digital literacy increased by 85%. Furthermore, the program successfully instilled the ideals of Islamic entrepreneurship, such as accountability, honesty, and trustworthiness, as well as the prohibition of usury in digital business operations. In addition to encouraging the development of an Islamic digital business community within the educational environment, this community service program helps students develop personalities with noble morals, creativity, and adaptability.

The Labor-Intensive Housing Program is one of the Surabaya City Government’s policies aimed at reducing poverty and unemployment through labor-intensive community empowerment. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Labor-Intensive Housing Program (RPK) at the Pitstop business unit in Lidah Kulon Village, Lakarsantri Subdistrict, Surabaya City. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, utilizing Van Meter and Van’s policy implementation theory. Primary data were collected through interviews and observations, while secondary data were derived from official documents and relevant publications. The results showed that the implementation of the Pitstop Labor Intensive Housing Program has not yet been optimal. In terms of policy standards and objectives, the program’s goals have been clearly defined but have not yet been fully achieved. Regarding resources, the availability of facilities and funding is adequate, but there are still limitations in human resources, particularly skilled technicians in the automotive repair field. Inter organizational communication has taken place but has not been intensive enough to support business sustainability. Characteristics of the implementing agents indicate that the structure of the Labor-Intensive Housing team has been clearly defined; however, implementation in the field has not been optimal due to weak coordination and communication. Economic, social, and political conditions-such as a less-than-strategic business location and high competition from similar businesses-have also contributed to the low number of customers. Meanwhile, the disposition of the implementers demonstrates a positive attitude in supporting the Labor-Intensive Housing program. The Labor-Intensive Housing Program must be supported by professional mechanics through education, certification, and collaboration with the private sector and training institutions to ensure the quality of services. In addition, building public trust, coordination among stakeholders, and intensive support through monitoring and evaluation are key to the success and sustainability of the Labor-Intensive Housing Program.
