Nausea and vomiting are symptoms that a reasonable and often happen in the first trimester of pregnancy. It usually occurs in the morning, but can occurs at any time including at night. This condition can cause dehydration or lack of fluid and electrolyte inbalance, hence the condition of pregnant mother's get worse. Lemon aromatherapy is one of alternative method to decrease nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. It provides relaxation and sedative by stimulating the limbic system. This study was conducted to find the effect of lemon aromatherapy to decrease nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. Design used in this study was pre-experiment (one-group pretest-posttest designed). The population were all pregnant women that have nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. The samples were 12 respondent taken by purposive sampling according to the inclusion criteria. The independent variable was lemon aromatherapy. While the dependent variables were nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. Data were collected using structured questionnaire and observation. Data were then analyzed using statistic test (wilcoxon signed rank test) with level of significance ??0.05. The result showed that giving lemon aromatherapy had an effect to decrease nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy (p=0.002). There were differences of nausea and vomiting between pre-treatment lemon aromatherapy (x=8.50) and post-treatment lemon aromatherapy (x=4.25). It can be concluded that giving lemon aromatherapy could decreased nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. Lemon aromatherapy is useful to breathe when experiencing morning sickness, for relief, encouraging, refreshing, and improving mood, giving a relaxed feeling, comfortable and quiet. Recommendation for the nurse and other health profession to use lemon aromatherapy as alternative medication of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women.

Pregnancy affects the body of pregnant women by causing physiological changes that occur throughout the organ system, most of the changes in the body of pregnant women are caused by hormonal work. These changes occur due to the imbalance of progestrogen and estrogen hormones in the body of pregnant women. As many as 50% of pregnant women experience emesis gravidarum, known as morning sickness. Emesis gravidarum causes a decrease in appetite, so there is a change in electrolyte balance with potassium, calcium, and sodium which causes changes in body metabolism. Ginger Warming in Reducing the Frequency of Nausea and Vomiting in Trimester I Pregnant Women, said that before being given the intervention, the average respondent experienced the frequency of nausea and vomiting as much as 13 times a day, after being given a warm ginger drink intervention, the average frequency of nausea and vomiting decreased to 3.18 times a day. Ginger is efficacious as anti-vomiting and can be used by pregnant women to reduce morning sickness.Research shows that ginger is very effective in reducing metoclopamid, a compound that induces nausea and vomiting (Hasanah, 2014).The first advantage of ginger is the content of essential oils that have a refreshing effect and block the gag reflex, while gingerol can launch blood and nerves work well. As a result, tension can be melted, the head becomes fresh, and nausea and vomiting are suppressed. The fragrant aroma of ginger is produced by volatile oil. Ginger can prevent nausea and vomiting because ginger can be a barrier to serotonin. Ginger is effective in reducing nausea and vomiting during first trimester pregnancy.

Backgroud: There are various causes of nausea and vomiting, including hormonal changes in the body, psychology, and lifestyle. Poor diet before or in the early weeks of pregnancy, lack of sleep or rest and stress can exacerbate nausea and vomiting. Some things that can be done to reduce nausea even though they cannot be completely eliminated, are to consume a balanced diet, get enough movement and get enough rest.

Background : The number of artificial gravidarum events in Indonesia obtained from 2,203 pregnancies which can be fully observed is 543 pregnant women exposed to gravidarum. In Indonesia about 10% of pregnant women get emesis from gravidarum. In east Java, emesis an gravidarum accounts for 10% - 15% of the number of pregnant mothers as much as 182,815 in 2015 (NHS, 2015). According to the initial survey carried out by researchers of 10 pregnant mothers in the girlfriend medical center, there are 8 people (80%) of pregnant mothers who emesis the gravidarum of the trimester I pregnancy and 2 (20%) who are not emesis by the gravidarum. A gravidarum emesis of this pregnancy can be attributed to external levels and a progesterone within the body (wiknjosastro, 2012).Management of nausea and vomiting can be done by non-pharmacological methods. Non-pharmacological therapies such as drinking boiled red ginger and coconut water. Red ginger contains zingiberol, zingiberene essential oil, curcumin, bisabillene, flandrene, gingerol, vitamin A which can reduce nausea and vomiting. Coconut water also contains minerals, namely magnesium, potassium and calcium. It turns out that drinking coconut water can relieve symptoms of nausea and vomiting. objective : It is known that theeffectivenessof giving coconut water and red gingerin the pregnant mother to drop in emesis gravidarum. Methods : Quasi experimental with a pretest protest design with a two experimental design. The samples in this study were all pregnant women at TBPM Rahmayanti in October – December 2022 as many as 30 people, the sampling technique was total sampling. Results : There is an effectiveness of giving coconut water and red ginger to pregnant women in reducing emesis gravidarum (p.value 0.000). Conclusions and Suggestions : Coconut water and red ginger decoction are both effective in reducing emesis gravidarum. Midwives are expected to provide counseling to pregnant women, how to make red ginger stew and drink coconut water to reduce emesis gravidarum.Reading Lists: 36 readings (2015-2021).

Nausea, vomiting is a normal symptom experienced by most pregnant women. This condition is common in early pregnancy, especially in the first week to the third month of pregnancy. Nausea and vomiting in pregnant women is often called morning sickness or can be called emesis gravidarum, but there are some pregnant women who experience nausea and vomiting anytime and anywhere, whether in the morning, afternoon or evening. This research uses a quasi-experimental research design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of slow deep breathing therapy for pregnant women with emesis gravidarum. From the research results, the results showed that before slow deep breathing therapy was carried out, there was a mild level of nausea and vomiting, namely 16 respondents (53.30%). Meanwhile, those who had moderate levels of nausea and vomiting were 14 respondents (46.70%). Then, after being given slow deep breathing therapy, the majority of respondents had mild nausea and vomiting, namely 30 (100%). The pre-test and post-test show a significant relationship with the criteria for nausea and vomiting in pregnant women with a p value = 0 <0.05 N = 30, so it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of effectiveness between slow deep breathing therapy on nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in BPM. Backgroud: Nausea and vomiting (emesis gravidarum) are symptoms that often occur in 60-80% Primigravida and 40-60% Multigravida. The causes of nausea and vomiting vary, among others, due to hormonal changes in the body, psychological, to lifestyle. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of knowledge of trimester 1 pregnant women about emesis gravidarum. Methods: This research design uses descriptive research type. The sample of this study was the first semester pregnant women who came to have their pregnancy examined at the Rasoki Labuhan Public Health Center in August 2018, amounting to 30 people. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. The research instrument was in the form of questionnaire sheets and mother's MCH handbook. Results: Data processing techniques starts from editing, coding, tabulation and finally data analysis. From the total of 30 respondents, 7 (23.3%) data have good knowledge, 16 (53.4%) respondents have sufficient knowledge and 7 (23.3%) respondents who have less knowledge about emesis gravidarum. It is expected that first trimester pregnant women will seek more complete information on emesis gravidarum.
