Immunization is one of the most effective and efficient public health efforts in preventing diseases and reducing mortality rates in children such as smallpox, polio, tuberculosis, hepatitis B, diphtheria, measles, rubella, congenital rubella syndrome (CRS), tetanus, pneumonia (lung inflammation) and meningitis (inflammation of the brain membrane) (Nandi & Shet, 2020). Data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2020 showed that vaccination coverage in the 3rd and 4th months was months. However, efforts can be made to increase child vaccination coverage to 80% and that does not include DT, MR2, and HPV vaccinations. As, measles data is only 45%, diphtheria-tetanus (DT) is around 40% (Indonesian Ministry of Health, 2021). To determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and the completeness of basic immunization in children at the Raden Omas Posyandu. This study uses a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional method. The population in this study consisted of mothers who had children aged 12 to 18 months at Posyandu Raden Omas, totaling 36 mothers. The statistical results showed a relationship between maternal knowledge and the completeness of basic immunization in children p-value (0.048). Most respondents had good knowledge, as many as 13 respondents (36.1%). Sufficient knowledge, as many as 13 respondents (36.1%). Insufficient knowledge, as many as 10 respondents or 27.8%. Most respondents had incomplete immunization, namely 18 respondents (50%).

Undernutrition is a severe nutritional deficiency condition caused by inadequate daily intake of energy and protein, which occurs over a considerable period of time. Malnutrition generally affects children under five years old and is influenced by various factors. According to the National Basic Health Research Report (Riskesdas) in 2018, the national proportion of children aged 6–24 months with undernutrition and severe malnutrition was recorded at 17.7%. This study is a case report of a 23-month-old boy living in a village in 2025. The case was observed over a three-week period using a home visit approach. The diagnosis of undernutrition was established based on national guidelines, specifically the Regulation of the Indonesian Minister of Health No. 2 of 2020 concerning child anthropometric standards. Anthropometric measurements showed the child had a height of 81 cm and a weight of 8.12 kg. The child’s nutritional status was classified as underweight based on the Weight-for-Age (W/A) Z-score. Following diagnosis, the patient received nutritional education, supplementary food, appetite-stimulating vitamins, and growth monitoring. The study concluded that several determinants contributed to the underweight condition in this 23-month-old patient, including behavioral factors, incomplete immunization, and recurrent infections.

This study aims to assess the implementation of specific nutrition interventions in an effort to accelerate stunting reduction in Naitae Village, West Fatuleu Sub-district, Kupang Regency in 2023, as well as identify barriers and opportunities for improvement. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants such as the Head of Puskesmas, program managers, Village Head, Posyandu cadres, pregnant women, and mothers of stunted toddlers and those who have completed the intervention. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques through a process of categorization and source triangulation. The results showed that specific nutrition interventions in Naitae Village include the provision of Blood Addition Tablets (TTD), antenatal examinations, complete basic immunization, deworming, macronutrient supplements (PMT). The implementation of these interventions is generally in accordance with national guidelines, but there are still various barriers, such as unreachability of adolescent girls who are not in school, low compliance of pregnant women in consuming TTD, and limited access to services due to distance and local culture. In conclusion, although the intervention was implemented according to procedures, the success of the program was still constrained by individual, geographical, and socio-cultural factors. Efforts to increase education and cross-sector collaboration are needed to accelerate stunting reduction in the region.

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem in toddlers caused by a lack of nutritional intake for a long time so that the child becomes too short for his age. Based on the results of the Indonesian Nutrition Standards Survey (SSGI) in 2022 in Riau province, it reached 17.0%. The prevalence rate of stunting in Pekanbaru reached around 16.8% in 2022. According to the Health Office in 2022, Lima Puluh Health Center recorded the highest prevalence of stunting at 4.47% or 60 cases. One of the risk factors that contributes to stunting is the low coverage of complete basic immunization, which can prevent infectious diseases that can interfere with children's growth and development. However, the lack of public knowledge and awareness of the importance of complete basic immunization increases the risk of infection. The long-term impacts of stunting include cognitive impairment, developmental delays, and low productivity in the future. Knowing the relationship between the completeness of basic immunization and the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 24-36 months in the Lima Puluh Health Center work area, Pekanbaru City. to determine the relationship between the completeness of basic immunization and the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 24-36 months in the Lima Puluh Health Center work area, Pekanbaru City. From the results of data analysis, a relationship has been found between the completeness of immunization and the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 24-36 months in the Lima Puluh Health Center work area (p-value = 0.03; OR of 11.66; (95% CI = 1.22-110.95). Completeness of basic immunization is related and is a risk factor for stunting in toddlers aged 24-36 months in the Limapuluh Health Center work area.

The coverage of complete basic immunization in Indonesia in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic had not yet reached the expected target. The province with the lowest coverage was Aceh, with only 41.8%, indicating a significant gap from the national target. This study aims to determine the relationship between parental roles and the coverage of complete basic immunization for infants during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Banda Sakti area. This research used a cross-sectional design with a cluster sampling technique. The univariate analysis showed that most of the children were male, totaling 48 (51.6%). The age of the fathers was mostly between 26–35 years (52 respondents or 55.9%), and the mothers’ age was also mostly between 26–35 years (63 respondents or 67.7%). The majority of both fathers and mothers had a senior high school education, with 49 (52.7%) and 39 (41.9%) respectively. Most of the basic immunization coverage in the Banda Sakti area was incomplete, amounting to 74 infants (79.6%), and the parental role was categorized as poor. The bivariate analysis using the Chi-square test and its alternatives showed a p value < 0.05, indicating a significant relationship between the roles of fathers, mothers, and parents in general, and the coverage of complete basic immunization. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between parental roles and the coverage of complete basic immunization for infants during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Banda Sakti area.

Immunisation is the stage of prevention of infectious diseases such as ‘hepatitis, tuberculosis, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and measles’ Knowledge of parents, especially mothers, plays an important role in the success of immunisation programmes, where education level affects knowledge about the importance of immunisation. The following study aimed to analyse the correlation between parents' education level and knowledge in providing complete basic immunisation to children. The following quantitative approach uses a Cross Sectional design, on 88 respondents selected through Purposive Proportional Random Sampling using a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire and obesrvasion. Data were collected through questionnaires and analysed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant relationship between education level and parental knowledge in providing complete basic immunisation at Bangetayu Health Centre, Semarang City (p-value <0.05). Thus, the higher the level of education of parents, the better their knowledge in providing complete basic immunisation to children. This study highlights the importance of complete basic immunisation to prevent disease. Health offices and health centres need to improve education through counselling and information distribution. Parents' awareness plays an important role in ensuring children are fully immunised. This study is useful for parents in increasing knowledge, health centres in improving services, and researchers as a reference for further studies.

Backround: Basic immunization is a crucial step in preventing communicable diseases that can be controlled through vaccination in infants. However, the coverage of basic immunization in Indonesia has not yet reached the desired target. One of the factors influencing immunization coverage is the low level of maternal knowledge about immunization. This issue was identified in a preliminary study conducted at PMB Suratni. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of health education using audio-visual media in improving mothers' knowledge about basic immunization at PMB Suratni. Methods: This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a control group. A total of 50 mothers with infants aged 0–12 months at PMB Suratni were selected as respondents. The intervention group received health education using audio-visual media, while the control group was given conventional lecture-based education. Data were collected through pretest and posttest questionnaires and analyzed using the Wilcoxon test and N-Gain score. Results: Expert evaluations of the material and media categorized them as appropriate. The study results from both interventions indicated a significant improvement in maternal knowledge in the group that received audio-visual education compared to the control group. The average N-Gain score in the intervention group was 0.72 (high category), whereas the control group scored 0.45 (moderate category). The Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of <0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion: Health education using audio-visual media is proven to be more effective in enhancing mothers' knowledge about basic immunization compared to the lecture method. Audio-visual health education can serve as an interactive and informative alternative in health education programs to improve basic immunization coverage in infants.

Immunization via injection can cause immediate pain in children. Pain that occurs as a result of immunization injections, if not managed properly, can have a negative impact on the child's emotional aspects such as crying and fear. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design approach. The sample involved in this research was 64 respondents, selected using Probability Sampling techniques. The research results show that based on the Paired T-Test statistical test, the p-Value value for the influence of the 5S Method (Swaddling, Side-Stomach, Shushing, Swinging, Sucking) is 0.000. Because p < 0.05, the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the Null Hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the 5S Method (Swaddling, Side-Stomach, Shushing, Swinging, Sucking) has a significant influence on the Infant's Pain Response After Basic Immunization at the Dahlia Makassar Community Health Center. The suggestion is that the 5s method be an alternative for treating pain experienced by babies as an effort to minimize pharmacological therapy.
