Injectable contraception remains one of the most widely used family planning methods among couples of reproductive age. However, the success of this method is strongly influenced by the level of knowledge and attitudes of acceptors, which in practice are often still inadequate. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of injectable contraceptive educational videos in improving the knowledge and attitudes of injectable contraceptive acceptors at TPMB Siti Juhariyah. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. A total of 30 injectable contraceptive acceptors were selected as samples using purposive sampling techniques. The intervention consisted of providing an educational video on injectable contraception, followed by the assessment of participants’ knowledge and attitudes before and after the intervention using structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed using statistical tests to determine differences between pretest and posttest scores. The results showed a significant increase in acceptors’ knowledge, which shifted from moderate and low categories to a good category after the educational video intervention. In addition, the acceptors’ attitudes toward the use of injectable contraception also demonstrated a significant positive change. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that injectable contraceptive educational videos are effective in improving the knowledge and attitudes of acceptors. Therefore, educational videos can be utilized as a supportive counseling medium in family planning services to enhance the quality of contraceptive care in independent midwifery practices.

Floods are one of the most frequent hydrometeorological disasters in Indonesia and cause various social, economic, and environmental impacts on communities. In disaster situations, women often face greater vulnerability than men due to limited access to resources, high domestic responsibilities, and minimal protection in disaster policies. Although the government has adopted a gender mainstreaming policy in development, its implementation in disaster management policies remains suboptimal. This study aims to analyze how flood management policies integrate gender perspectives and identify the impacts of floods on women. The study used a qualitative approach using literature study methods and media content analysis to understand the dynamics of policies and women's experiences in disaster situations. The results show that disaster management policies still tend to focus on technical and infrastructure aspects, while women's specific needs are often overlooked, particularly regarding security in refugee camps, access to reproductive health services, and increased domestic burdens during crises. This condition indicates that the integration of a gender perspective in disaster policies still faces various structural and institutional barriers. Therefore, efforts are needed to strengthen the implementation of gender-responsive policies so that disaster management does not only focus on physical mitigation, but is also able to provide fairer and more inclusive protection for all community groups.

Adolescence is a crucial transition phase from childhood to adulthood, characterized by significant development of the reproductive system and psychosocial changes. In this phase, adolescents are prone to deviant behavior, including premarital sexual behavior, especially if environmental factors and self-control are not properly managed. This study aims to identify the picture of premarital sexual behavior in adolescents through a case study at Pattimura High School Jakarta. The research method uses a quantitative approach with random sampling techniques based on Lemenshow calculations. Data analysis was carried out descriptively to obtain an overview of respondents' behavior. The results showed that there were 22 students (32.35%) who had risky premarital sexual behavior. These findings indicate an urgent need for comprehensive interventions. Preventive efforts can be carried out through reproductive health education, strengthening moral values, and improving communication between parents and children. Meanwhile, repressive efforts are needed to enforce school rules and provide educational sanctions. This research emphasizes the importance of collaboration between schools, families, and communities in tackling adolescents' premarital sexual behavior, so as to minimize risks that have an impact on their physical, psychological, and social health.

This study examines the experience of access to health services and resilience strategies in adolescents with unplanned pregnancies in Makassar, Indonesia. Access to quality reproductive health services is important for adolescents' well-being, but they often face systemic barriers that affect access to health services and outcomes. The study used an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach on seventeen adolescent girls aged 15–19 years who had an unplanned pregnancy between June–November 2023. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews, recorded, verbatim transcribed, and analyzed by a six-stage science process. Two main themes were found: Navigating Closed Doors: Systematic Barriers to Care and Finding Light in Darkness: Resilience and Agency. Participants faced a variety of layered barriers, including a lack of information about health services and rights, geographical and economic constraints, age-based discrimination, parental notification obligations, fear of legal consequences especially related to abortion, family control over decisions, and limitations in adolescent-friendly services. Nonetheless, adolescents show resilience through seeking strategic help, resistance to pressure, spiritual and religious coping, peer support, gradual acceptance of maternal identity, educational sustainability, and positive meaningfulness of difficult experiences. These findings point to the need for a transformation of the health system that not only improves attitudes of health workers, but also addresses structural barriers such as confidentiality, age discrimination, and service availability, while strengthening agency and adolescent coping strategies.
