The waste problem in Tamanan village is an issue that needs serious attention because of its impact on environmental pollution and public health. One of the main challenges is the low awareness of residents, especially elementary school children, in terms of good and correct waste management. A lot of waste is thrown carelessly without sorting, which results in a decrease in the quality of cleanliness and health of the village environment. This community service program aims to improve students' understanding and skills in waste management through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach for 40 days. This program involves students of MI Nurur Rahman and SDN Tamanan 1 as the main subjects. The activities carried out include socialization about the importance of waste management, the delivery of material on types of waste, as well as the practice of sorting organic, inorganic, and B3 waste. In addition, the installation of educational media in the school environment and evaluation monitoring were also carried out. The results of the evaluation showed that 73% of students were able to answer the quiz questions correctly ≥70%, which indicates their good understanding of waste management. Some students also began to implement the habit of separating waste at home and inviting families to participate. Support from village officials and the existence of educational media are expected to strengthen the sustainability of this program. Participatory approaches have proven to be effective in raising environmental awareness and can be implemented sustainably through collaboration between schools, communities, and village governments.

The results show that the village government has implemented various efforts to encourage community participation, including through village deliberations, mutual cooperation activities, and community service. Community involvement was encouraged through collective decision-making and shared responsibilities in development programs. These efforts have generally had a positive impact on community involvement. However, the study also found inhibiting factors, particularly the community's economic limitations that affect their ability to participate in development. Furthermore, some residents still face challenges in terms of awareness and understanding of the importance of active participation. Therefore, more inclusive strategies oriented towards the socio-economic conditions of the local community are needed. Inclusive policies and adaptive strategies are essential to fostering sustainable rural development.

Village development is the main focus of Indonesia's national policy, especially after the enactment of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages. In its implementation, the role of the Ministry of Villages (Kemendesa) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) is very important, however, disharmony of authority often occurs which hampers the effectiveness of these policies. This research aims to analyze the disharmonization of authority between the two ministries and formulate a harmonization solution from a legal perspective to increase more efficient and sustainable village development. The method used is a normative approach with comparative juridical analysis of existing regulations, which include related laws and policies. The research results show that there are overlapping regulations and roles between the Ministry of Villages and the Ministry of Home Affairs in aspects of preparing the RPJMDes, managing village funds, as well as coaching and supervising village heads. This research suggests the need for clear legal reconstruction and better coordinating mechanisms between the two ministries to avoid conflicts of authority that could hinder the achievement of village development goals. In conclusion, harmonization of authority normatively, institutionally and technically is very necessary to increase the effectiveness of village development and provide better legal certainty.

Village infrastructure is an important foundation for local economic development and improving the welfare of the community in the area. However, the obstacles often encountered include ineffective budget planning, lack of community participation, and weak supervision in budget implementation. Nevertheless, there is potential for improvement through the implementation of an integrated village financial information system and active community involvement in the village development planning deliberation process (Musrenbangdes). This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing primary data obtained through interviews and secondary data from journal sources and previous research. The results of this study indicate that village infrastructure development through the APBDes begins with the participatory preparation of the RKP, involving RT, RW, and BPD. Funding comes from the APBDes, PAD, and community self-help. The focus of development has now shifted to community empowerment, especially women, through skills training. APBDes management faces challenges in meeting sudden needs and relies on deliberation for solutions. Transparency is maintained through budget publication, and project implementation considers environmental aspects. Evaluations are conducted by the Inspectorate and District Office, while the community also monitors and critiques implementation. Regarding the food security program, there will be a shift in management to BUMDes starting in 2025, pending new regulations. The APBDes covers revenue, expenditures, and financing, with village deliberations as the highest forum for approval. Village funds are considered insufficient, so assistance from the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) also plays an important role.

Village development is an important pillar in national development, where community participation is a key factor in achieving success. The Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMDes) serves as a strategic document that guides development policies and programs at the village level, with community involvement crucial to ensure that their needs and expectations are met. This study identified three important aspects of community participation: as a tool to obtain information, to increase trust in development programs, and as a democratic right. Despite challenges in involving the community, such as a lack of understanding of planning mechanisms and time constraints, the hope for increasing participation remains. Qualitative research methods were used to explore the most effective methods in increasing community involvement. The results showed that active community participation in the preparation of the RPJMDes in Tembung Village can increase transparency, accountability, and relevance of development programs, thus creating inclusive and sustainable development. Cooperation between residents and the village government is the key to achieving optimal development results that are felt by all levels of society.

Mosques have an important role in the lives of Muslims, not only as places of worship, but also as centers of social, cultural, and educational activities. This research reveals the history of the establishment of the Taqwa Mosque in Seri Tanjung Village, Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir Regency, as well as the important role of Manda Haji Bun Yamin as a local figure in the process of building the mosque. Using historical and sociological approaches, this study shows that the mosque not only reflects the spiritual development of the community, but also symbolizes unity and independence in building religious facilities independently. The results found that Manda Haji Bun Yamin had a strong religious and social vision, reflected in his initiative to build a permanent two-story mosque that would later become the center of community activities. The Taqwa Mosque is not only a place of worship, but also plays a role in religious education, distribution of social assistance, preservation of traditions, and strengthening the value of tolerance between religious communities. The Community-Based Drinking Water and Sanitation Provision Program (PAMSIMAS) aims to increase access to clean water and proper sanitation in rural areas. However, the implementation of this program in several villages, including in Lubuk Ulak Village, Muara Pinang District, Empat Lawang Regency, still faces various challenges. This research aims to evaluate the PAMSIMAS development policy in the village, focusing on the effectiveness of implementation, the challenges faced, and its impact on the local community.
