This study intended findout the existence of common law in national legal politics and to figure out more efforts that were done by the government and non-government so that common law and national l egal politics run in balance. This study made use of normative legal research with legislation and a comparative approach method. The results of the study indicated that common law does have different characters from national law, where national law has written characters in laws and regulations systematically and rigidly. Common law existence is recognized in national legal politics at the macro legal political level. In macro legal politics, recognition of common law community units and their traditional rights have been enshrined in the constitution, through Pasal 18B ayat (2) UUDNRI 1945. As is well known, common law communities are the bearers of common law.

Pasar tradisional sebagai entitas ekonomi dan budaya dihadapkan pada tantangan keberlanjutan, terutama di era globalisasi dan modernisasi. Artikel ini mengusulkan konsep "Pasar Rakyat Glura Srawung" sebagai inovasi desain untuk menjawab permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Pasar Keputran Selatan di Kota Surabaya. Konsep ini mengintegrasikan fleksibilitas aksesibilitas pasar, modul lapak yang fleksibel, dan penerapan nilai-nilai budaya Srawung dalam lingkungan pasar. Melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini menghasilkan desain pasar yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan vitalitas pasar, mempertahankan budaya lokal, dan memberikan kontribusi terhadap pelestarian pasar tradisional. Penelitian ini juga membahas potensi konsep Glura sebagai model untuk diterapkan pada pasar tradisional lainnya dan memberikan landasan bagi studi lanjutan dalam pengembangan desain pasar yang berkelanjutan.

Changes in the social behavior of the Kuta Traditional Village community are becoming increasingly significant along with the impact of the ongoing modernization era. Kuta Traditional Village, a community rich in traditions and cultural values, is experiencing transformation in various aspects of their daily lives. This study explores how modernization affects the social behavior patterns of the Kuta Traditional Village community, from traditions to their social interactions. Through an in-depth qualitative approach, the results of this research describe the dynamics of social change occurring in this traditional village and seek an understanding of how they adapt to the ever-evolving modern era.    

Pendidikan islam yang digagas oleh Azyumardi Azra melalui karakteristik dan modernisasi yang di lakukannya sangat berdampak pada perkembangan pendidikan islam pada era kontemporer. membentuk manusia yang taat kepada Allah akan tetapi juga mencerdaskan peserta didik, terampil, berbudi pekerti luhur, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana karakteristik dan modernisasi pendidikan Islam perspektif Azyumardi Azra dan untuk mengetahui relevansinya dengan pendidikan islam kontemporer. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini bersifat library reseach atau studi kepustakaan. Temuan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik pendidikan Azyumardi Azra meliputi: tujuan pendidikan, kurikulum pendidikan dan demokrastisasi pendidikan. Sedangkan modernisasi pendidikan islam mencakup segala aspek kehidupan masyarakat muslim sesuai perkembangan zaman. Pendidikan Islam juga perlu terus beradaptasi dengan perkembangan zaman agar tetap relevan dan efektif dalam mendidik generasi muda sesuai dengan tuntutan zaman dan kebutuhan masyarakat. Relevasinya terhadap pendidikan islam kontemporer yaitu pembaruan Madrasah dan Universitas dan kurikulum dengan memiliki peran dalam meningkatkan kualitas. Memodernisasikan pendidikan islam dari pendidikan yang sudah ada ke pendidikan modern.

Indonesia, as a developing country, faces challenges in improving people's welfare through development that is not yet optimal. Under the leadership of President Joko Widodo, the government is focusing on significant infrastructure development in an effort to encourage economic growth and modernization. Using Harrod Domar's modernization theory, this research examines how investment in infrastructure can encourage Indonesia's economic growth. The method used is literature study, with analysis of literature related to infrastructure development and modernization theory. The results show that toll road construction has a positive impact on transportation efficiency, community mobility, and economic growth, although it also faces several challenges such as environmental impacts and community involvement. The construction of toll roads, especially through collaboration between the government and the private sector, is an example of the application of Harrod Domar's theory in the context of Indonesian modernization, showing that effective investment in infrastructure can increase productivity and community welfare.

This journal discusses the influence of modernization on the management and maintenance of Minangkabau customary land. Modernization itself is a change that occurs over time. Its relationship with humans is how humans adapt to all changes to meet all their life needs. Customary land management is carried out by traditional communities by following the laws that apply in the community or often called customary law. With modernization, existing laws in the community and updated laws will adapt to each other, because laws exist for humans, not humans for the law. The main topic of discussion is how the modernization system applies to Minangkabau land management and what influence modernization has on Minangkabau land management. The existing data to answer this main problem is empirical data originating from journals, books, or applicable laws and regulations.

Partners in this PPM activity are Village Apparatus and several community representatives of Sumur Gedang Village, Sungai Full City, Kerinci. Based on the analysis of the situation, the main problem faced by partners today lies in the phenomenon of waste which continues to increase in volume which causes environmental pollution, especially related to cleanliness and health. The increasing population and community activities greatly affect the increasing volume of waste in rural areas. Various kinds of pollution that occur due to piles of garbage so that the impacts caused include environmental damage, changes in health conditions. Support, participation and awareness from various parties, especially waste management drivers, is one of the keys to the success of good waste management. Based on these problems, through this activity, several solutions to solve problems will be provided. The method of implementing activities uses a participatory approach through training and mentoring activities, with measurable achievement targets. The results of PPM activities that have been carried out are obtained as a result of the PPM team has carried out all forms of training and simple practices to partners including in making natural compost by utilizing leftover vegetable pieces from households that can be used as natural fertilizer to fertilize the soil. In addition, the team practiced processing plastic waste to be used as handicrafts and other products which are expected to be attractive and can be resold in the future.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) need to compete effectively in the market in terms of increased capacity to adapt to the dynamic business environment. MSMEs need to respond promptly to evolving market trends, technological advances, and changing consumer preferences. However, not all MSMEs have made the necessary adaptations in order to thrive in a dynamic business environment. This community service focuses on Mie Ayam Mas Nok, an MSME that faces specific challenges, especially the lack of social media utilization and the absence of a distinctive business logo. To overcome these problems, community service activities were carried out by providing targeted assistance to MSMEs Mie Ayam Mas Nok. This service activity aims to empower them through effective utilization of social media platforms and the creation of unique business logos, thereby increasing their competitiveness in a dynamic business environment. Using a combination of observation, interviews, and surveys, this community service initiative yielded positive results. MSMEs Mie Ayam Mas Nok successfully integrated social media into their business strategy and obtained a distinctive business logo. These improvements have significantly increased the competitiveness of their businesses, equipping them to thrive in an ever-changing and competitive business environment.

Implementing Real Work Lectures (KKN) is a course that every student in higher education must take to provide understanding through the education, training and guidance process in order to be able to develop capacity and capability in managing the potential to develop the community environment. KKN activities will be carried out on July 4 – August 22 2023 in stages starting from the formation of environmental observation groups, debriefing and release. The programs that have been implemented are an indication of the success of all parties involved in the KKN group. The implementation of the KKN program is carried out by students in collaboration with NNB Dusun Rondaman, both of whom have a role in bringing about change for the better. The group 33 KKN team carries out service by providing education as a form of applying the knowledge they have gained to improve human resources in Rondaman Hamlet.

Karo Batak customary inheritance law is based on a patrilineal system which determines that the main heir is the eldest son. However, it should be noted that women also have the right to inheritance in some cases, especially if there are no sons in the family. In general, inherited assets are divided equally between the children and surviving spouse of the deceased, but certain properties such as land or inherited property in particular are more likely to be passed patrilineally to the eldest male child to maintain the continuity of the bloodline. This system also recognizes the important role of ancestors in determining inheritance distribution and has strong customary mechanisms to resolve conflicts that may arise regarding inheritance distribution. Even though it is still recognized and implemented, Karo Batak customary inheritance law has faced several challenges and adaptations with the advent of the modern era. Changing living patterns, urbanization, greater education, and the influence of national laws often influence the way heritage is managed and shared. In many cases, inheritance arrangements may combine elements of customary law with national law to adapt to social changes and the practical needs of modern families. This could have the impact of a more equal distribution between children, without necessarily taking into account gender or birth order, as well as paying more attention to the economic and social needs of family members. Despite this, customary inheritance law practices are still respected and maintained in many Karo Batak communities, often as part of their cultural identity and traditions.

Modernization isa process of changing societies and cultures with all its aspects from traditional to modern. Modernization, while having a positive effect, can also have a negative impact that one of them is having on the behavior of elementary school students. These effects can happen if we cannot strain that modernization. Therefore as teachers we should be able to minimize the emergence of harmful negative effects on the creation of student character. The results of this study suggest that modernization has hada significant impact on the behavior of elementary school students. This is demonstrated by such oft viewed negative behaviors as brawling, social strife, social promiscuity, misuse of the Internet and cell phones that cause students to become irritable and socially impaired. The research method used was the literacy study of several accredited journals according to the research discussion. This study is intended to enable readers to know the impact that modernization of students' behavior in elementary schools and teachers can minimize the negative effects that will happen in students.

This study aims to identify and analyze the challenges of Islamic education in the era of globalization and modernization. The discussion focuses on what is meant by globalization and modernization? What are the Issues of Islamic Education in the Era of Globalization and Modernization? And what are the challenges of Islamic education in the era of globalization and modernization. Data was obtained through literature study and then analyzed for its relevance to actual facts occurring today. There are three main challenges currently faced by Islamic education, namely advances in science and technology, democratization, and the cultural sector. In essence, Islamic education institutions must reform their curriculum so that they can prepare superior human resources and have competitiveness in facing global competition and Islamic education must continue to make improvements and innovate and work hard to improve existing weaknesses.    

Wayang thengul merupakan salah satu kesenian tradisional dari Kabupaten Bojonegoro yang sudah diakui oleh Hak Kekayaan Intelektual dan diperkenalkan oleh pemerintah sebagai seni pertunjukan khas Bojonegoro. Akibat pengaruh modernisasi, kesenian ini sudah mulai luntur dan dilupakan karena berkurangnya minat dan motivasi generasi muda untuk melestarikannya. Apalagi di Bojonegoro sendiri sangat minim akan fasilitas yang mampu mewadahi seluruh aktivitas yang berkaitan dengan kesenian wayang thengul baik sebagai pelatihan hingga pertunjukan. Kebanyakan fasilitasnya hanya sebatas rumah sang dalang yang digunakan juga sebagai sanggar pelatihan. Untuk mempertahankan nilai-nilai dari kearifan lokal tersebut diperlukan upaya sebuah fasilitas yang berperan sebagai wadah wisata edukasi budaya kepada masyarakat dengan menerapkan tema Extending Tradition sebagai pendekatan arsitekturnya. Tema ini diterapkan agar masyarakat dapat mempelajari ilmu budaya yang ada sehingga tertanam suatu kebanggaan terhadap budaya di daerahnya. Metode pendekatan desain ini menggunakan tradisi lokal sebagai ide dasar desain dan memodifikasinya agar sesuai dengan masyarakat modern. Konsep desainnya meliputi pada bagian pertapakan, perangkaan, peratapan, persungkupan dan persolekan.

    This study seeks to provide argumentative information regarding the reality of obstacles, challenges, strategies, and efforts in shaping the character of bureaucrats who have good morals, as well as to rationalize the importance of using technology, information, and communication in public services. This research was carried out through a qualitative approach with literature study methods, data analysis, namely, reduction, display, and verification or conclusion. The results of the research are: 1) dynamic and complex obstacles and challenges, leading to the reality of bureaucratic competence, mental distortion of serving , the Industrial Revolution 4.0, as well as legal certainty, 2) strategies and efforts in shaping the character of moral, capable bureaucrats through education and training, increasing technology literacy, supervision programs, and policies on welfare, 3) in the modern era, the bureaucracy needs to optimize technological progress , information and communication, to be effective and efficient, to be agile and professional. So that the formation of bureaucrats with character is an alternative solution in overcoming the stigma and stereotypes about the world of bureaucracy which is seen as rigid, conventional, procedural and pragmatic, so that it turns into world-class governance and public services.

Kalirungkut Village is an area that has various potentials. One of the superior potentials of the village located in Rungkut District, Surabaya is Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Many MSME actors have joined the Kalirungkut MSME Association. Association member products are dominated by food and beverages. In addition, there are several MSMEs selling crafts. On the other hand, running a business is not an easy thing. Many MSME actors are constrained, both internal and external constraints. Based on surveys and observations, the main problem faced by members of the Kalirungkut MSME Association is marketing which is still simple and traditional so that it affects the slow, even stagnant, development of MSMEs. Therefore, the East Java MBKM "Veteran" UPN "Veteran" KKNT Group of 85 took the initiative to organize digital marketing socialization which aims to provide knowledge and skills to market products digitally. This socialization had a positive impact in the form of increasing the awareness of MSME actors to start engaging in digital marketing.

Kompleksitas kerapuhan atau ketidakpastian yang dialami oleh masyarakat modern ini menjadikan adanya suatu situasi maupun kondisi yang mana masyarakat dapat mengalami sebuah kerentanan, atau suatu kondisi-kondisi yang menyebabkan dan berdampak pada munculnya masyarakat berisiko. Masyarakat berisiko ini merupakan suatu kondisi dimana masyarakat menghadapi suatu ancaman dan ketidakpastian hidup yang semakin lama semakin besar. Ketidakpastian inilah yang membuat suatu masyarakat tidak dapat lagi memprediksi apa yang akan terjadi pada masa depan. Dalam arti lain, masyarakat berisiko ini adalah suatu kondisi dimana masyarakat menghadapi ancaman dan ketidakpastian hidup yang semakin besar, sehingga setiap individu dalam masyarakat berjuang untuk meminimalisirkan hingga mendapatkan suatu kepastian itu sendiri. Adapun dalam artikel ini akan membahas mengenai kompleksitas kerapuhan atau ketidakpastian yang dialami oleh masyarakat modern menurut pandangan Douglas, Beck, dan Giddens.

Modernity is one of the reasons for humans to adapt to be better than previous lives. Technology that is growing rapidly makes the development of industries. But it has not been widely seen that the industry can create social risks. Starting from the work environment is not conducive, employment is getting less, to gender inequality in work. In the industry, there is also often an imbalance in labor wages. Where workers become victims of losses from risks created in an industry. Giddens thought that in the modern era the world would be uncontrollable. It can be seen that industrialization is growing and progressing continuously. That's why the risks that will be accepted cannot be avoided by society in this modern era.    

Dimasa yang serba modern ini Perubahan terjadi dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat di seluruh penjuru yang ada di dunia ini merupakan suatu kondisi yang sangatlah normal, dampak serta pengaruh yang terjadi tersebut menyebar dengan cepat ke belahan lain dunia ini, hal tersebut juga bagian dari berkembangnya komunikasi yang kian modern. Munculnya banyak inovasi penemuan baru yang ada di bidang teknologi, terjadinya proses perubahan yang cepat atau biasa dinamakan dengan revolusi, modernisasi dan yang terjadi kedepanya dalam suatu daerah, memungkinkan kita secara cepat dan efisien dapat mengetahui berbagai informasi yang kita butuhkan. Kemajuan tersebut tentunya juga tidak luput dari peran kemajuan dalam bidang perindustrian yang menghasilkan teknologi tersebut. Berbagai kemajuan yang terjadi menyangkup berbagai aspek itu dinamakan modernisasi. Modernisasi yang muncul di bidang industri dinamakan industrialisasi. Tentu banyak efek positif yang dapat diambil dari proses industrialisasi itu. Namun, dilain sisi tentu juga menyebabkan dampak negatif ataupun meningkatnya risiko yang muncul didalam masyarakat. Risiko yang muncul didalam lingkungan masyarakat merupakan konsekuensi yang harus diterima oleh masyarakat sekitar baik yang terlibat maupun tidak sebagai bentuk dari dampak dari adanya industri. Pada kasus ini teori masyarakat risiko digunakan sebagai acuan yang digunakan didalam eb sebagai bentuk dari pencegahan dari dampak yang mungkin saja timbul. Sebab dalam suatu kegiatan atau aktivitas tentu ada yang namanya risiko walau sekecil apapun pasti terkandung unsur risiko didalamnya. Mengapa risiko sangat penting untuk diminimalisir sebab risiko merupakan suatu bentuk ketidakpastian yang muncul didalam suatu hal dan memiliki unsur bahaya didalamnya. Oleh karena itu risiko sangatlah penting untuk diminimalisir karena bahaya yang memungkinkan datang dimana saja, kapan saja dan kepada siapa saja.

In times like today, it is certain that people in their lives will experience an event called risk. This incident is bound to happen to everyone in any way. Therefore, to minimize the negative impact due to these risks, it is necessary to have a solution on the risk side to deal with these risks. Risk is a synonym of the English-speaking Risk Society, which means that in reality in social life there must be a problem or uncertainty that is experienced. In 1986 risk could be described in a structural situation, for example, industrialization, the emergence of the modernization era, and so on. Because basically the era of modernization gave rise to many technologies that are easy to use so that they can affect existing life. According to Anthony Giddens, modernization is a culture of risk. The risk community is a meaning used because something has changed towards something new in people's lives at this time. In addition, the figure who discussed the risk community was Ulrick Beck. He stated that criticism of mathematical morality from expert thinking is that public discourse about risk making is something that can be avoided from the structural conditions of society. Then the figure who also discusses the risk community is Mary Douglas, an anthropologist who discusses cultural theory.
