The emergence of Large-Format Printing (LFP) technology has transformed global visual communication by enabling the production of large-scale, high-quality printed materials, significantly influencing Nigeria’s graphic design industry. This study aims to examine the impact of LFP on graphic design practice (GDP) in 21st-century Nigeria and propose strategies for sustainable development while addressing emerging challenges. A mixed-method approach was employed, with a primary qualitative focus through interviews and participant observation, supported by quantitative data collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire to assess designers’ perceptions of LFP’s influence. The findings reveal a dual impact. On the positive side, LFP has enhanced design scale, print quality, creative flexibility, and production efficiency, effectively overcoming the limitations of earlier methods such as letterpress printing, manual clamp offset printing, and hand-painted signboards. However, several challenges persist, including the oversaturation of practitioners, increased design piracy, and issues of color inconsistency, which undermine quality outcomes. These challenges highlight gaps in professional standards and regulation within the industry. The study concludes that while LFP has driven innovation and growth in Nigeria’s graphic design sector, its optimal benefits are constrained by the proliferation of unaccredited freelance designers. Therefore, the study recommends the implementation of targeted training programs and stricter professional accreditation systems through relevant regulatory bodies to ensure sustainable development and maximize the transformative potential of LFP technology.

This study examines the integration of Sound Governance principles within the sustainable tourism policy cycle to address institutional fragmentation and evaluation inefficiencies in developing economies. Using a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design, the research develops a multidimensional evaluation framework aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), analyzing policy performance across five strategic domains: Economy, Social-Welfare, Culture-Education, Environment, and Governance. The quantitative phase utilizes 17 adapted SDG indicators to measure policy efficacy, while the qualitative phase employs semi-structured interviews and stakeholder mapping to deconstruct power dynamics in multi-actor co-management structures. The findings reveal that Sound Governance—specifically transparency and accountability—serves as a critical catalyst for policy effectiveness, significantly influencing destination sustainability through an input-process-output-outcome-impact pathway. Empirical evidence from the case of Penglipuran Village, Bali, corroborates these results, demonstrating that indigenous institutional legitimacy enhances social responsiveness but remains vulnerable to overtourism-driven economic dependency. Notably, the study demonstrates that integrating SDGs into the policy evaluation cycle transforms assessments from mere administrative formalities into strategic instruments for long-term demand stability and ecosystem preservation. These findings position Sound Governance as a strategic intangible asset, offering theoretical contributions to development administration and practical guidance for policy-makers navigating the complexities of sustainable destination management in competitive global markets

This study explores the dynamics of children’s character formation within Christian families in the digital era from the perspective of church parents. Employing a descriptive light mixed-methods design, the study integrates survey data and semi-structured interviews to obtain both quantitative and qualitative insights. The findings indicate that digital media has become an integral and unavoidable part of family life, making children’s character formation highly dependent on parental guidance, reflective communication, and consistent faith-based education at home. Parents face various challenges related to time constraints, limited digital literacy, and the increasing exposure of children to external values that may not align with Christian teachings. At the same time, many parents actively utilize technology as a supportive and accessible tool for spiritual learning and moral development. The study concludes that character formation is shaped not merely by technology itself but more significantly by the quality of family relationships and parental role modeling grounded in Christian values. Therefore, the findings recommend strengthening faith-based digital literacy among parents and enhancing church–family collaboration to foster more holistic, balanced, and sustainable character development in children.

Healthcare institutions worldwide are undergoing digital transformation to improve efficiency and patient experiences. While many studies focus on clinical applications of information technology (IT), its impact on administrative service quality remains limited, even though administrative services are patients’ primary point of contact. This study examines how IT adoption influences administrative service quality in Indonesian healthcare institutions, focusing on relationships between IT implementation levels and service quality dimensions, as well as mediating and moderating factors. Using a mixed-methods sequential explanatory design, quantitative data were collected from 385 patients and 127 administrative staff across 24 hospitals, supported by 32 in-depth interviews. Service quality was measured using SERVQUAL dimensions: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The findings show significant positive relationships between IT adoption and all service quality dimensions, with the strongest effects on reliability and responsiveness. Staff digital competency and system usability partially mediate these relationships, while implementation quality acts as a key moderating factor. Well-implemented systems yield substantially higher service improvements than poorly implemented ones. Most patients prefer digital services when functioning properly, although many report frustration when systems fail or staff lack competency. This study highlights the importance of effective IT implementation to enhance administrative service quality and offers practical insights for healthcare management.

Leadership constitutes a critical determinant of organizational efficiency, yet the relationship between leadership styles and administrative effectiveness remains incompletely understood, particularly across different institutional contexts. This comparative study examines how transformational, transactional, and laissez-faire leadership styles influence administrative efficiency in public and private sector institutions in Indonesia. Using a mixed-methods approach, quantitative data were collected from 428 employees across 28 public institutions and 24 private organizations through validated survey instruments; qualitative data were gathered through 36 semi-structured interviews with organizational leaders and managers. Results reveal significant positive relationships between transformational leadership and administrative efficiency in both sectors (β = 0.54, p < 0.001 for public; β = 0.48, p < 0.001 for private), with transactional leadership showing moderate positive effects (β = 0.32 public; β = 0.38 private) and laissez-faire leadership demonstrating negative relationships (β = −0.28 public; β = −0.24 private). Leadership styles collectively explain 52% of efficiency variance. Mediation analysis reveals that organizational culture (28%), employee engagement (35%), and trust in leadership (22%) partially mediate transformational leadership's effects, together accounting for 62% of total indirect effects. Sector differences emerged qualitatively: transformational leadership leverages public service motivation in public institutions, while transactional leadership's performance accountability resonates more strongly in private organizations. The study contributes theoretical understanding of leadership effectiveness across institutional contexts and provides practical guidance for developing contextually appropriate leadership development programs.
