This study examines the influence of Organizational Support and Work Engagement on Lecturer Performance in higher education institutions. Using a quantitative descriptive approach and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the research analyzes data from 190 respondents, comprising lecturers from various universities in Medan. The results show that Organizational Support has a significant positive effect on Lecturer Performance with a path coefficient of 0.265, a T statistic of 5.87, and a P value of 0.000, indicating a strong and highly significant impact. On the other hand, Work Engagement also positively affects Lecturer Performance, with a path coefficient of 0.107, a T statistic of 2.977, and a P value of 0.001, which is significant but with a smaller effect compared to Organizational Support. The R-squared value for Organizational Support is 0.656, indicating that 65.6% of the variance in Organizational Support is explained by the model. The findings highlight the importance of organizational support in fostering a productive academic environment, leading to improved lecturer performance. This research provides practical insights for higher education institutions aiming to enhance teaching quality and academic outcomes.

Abstract: Lesson Study is a collaborative process where teachers identify learning problems, plan improvements, implement instruction with one teacher teaching and others observing, evaluate, revise, re-teach, re-evaluate, and disseminate results. This method serves as a reference for HOTS-based classroom instruction aimed at enhancing learning motivation, student achievement, and critical thinking. The community service was conducted at the Tadris Social Sciences Study Program, FTIK, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah, and MI Podorejo, Sumber Gempol, Tulungagung, through planning, implementation, and reflection stages. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a sequential design covering preparation, micro-teaching training, school mentoring, Lesson Study implementation, and comprehensive final evaluation. Observations from this Lesson Study revealed that students demonstrated critical thinking and active participation in learning. This activity is expected to foster synergy among lecturers, teachers, and pre-service teachers in designing, implementing, and evaluating teaching-learning activities, making instructional methods more creative, innovative, and adaptive to technological advancements.

This study seeks to investigate the direct impact of digital transformational leadership on employee engagement and to analyze the mediating function of work-life balance within higher education institutions in Medan. A quantitative methodology was utilized, employing a survey technique with a structured questionnaire disseminated to professors at higher education institutions in North Sumatra Province. The study's population and sample consisted of 120 permanent academics in North Sumatra Province. We utilized a questionnaire to collect data and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze it. The findings indicated that digital transformative leadership exerted a favorable and significant impact on lecturer engagement. Nonetheless, work-life balance was not demonstrated to be a significant mediator or moderator in this relationship. This study demonstrates that within the framework of digital transformation, professor engagement is more significantly affected by leadership practices than by perceptions of work-life balance. Digital leadership that works can give teachers more power and make them more interested, but problems that come with the digital invasion need to be handled carefully. This study suggests that companies, particularly higher education institutions, should prioritize the enhancement of digital leadership capacity to sustain and elevate employee engagement in the digital age.

However, many university students still face challenges in adapting to digital examination environments due to limited technical experience and digital literacy. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to enhance students’ academic readiness and digital competence through the implementation of a Moodle-based LMS at Universitas Murni Teguh. The activity was conducted in the form of an interactive workshop, including system introduction, simulation of CBT, guided practice, and discussion sessions involving university students and lecturers. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding of LMS features, confidence in using CBT systems, and ability to manage digital-based examinations effectively. Active participation and engagement during the sessions reflected high enthusiasm and adaptability toward digital learning transformation. This activity demonstrates that the implementation of LMS Moodle is effective in improving academic preparedness and digital literacy among students, and can serve as a sustainable model for strengthening technology-based learning in higher education institutions.

The rapid growth of digital marketing has increased the demand for a competent workforce, while many vocational school teachers still face limitations in both theoretical understanding and practical implementation of digital marketing practices. This community service program aimed to strengthen the digital marketing competencies of 15 teachers at SMKN 1 Purwokerto through workshops facilitated by certified lecturers and industry practitioners. The program applied a participatory and collaborative approach consisting of needs analysis, workshop sessions, curriculum realignment, industry-based module development, and continuous mentoring over six months. The findings showed significant improvements in teachers’ competencies, with an 82.6% increase in digital marketing comprehension scores, rising from 45.3 to 82.6. In addition, all participating teachers successfully mastered innovative lesson planning and the implementation of digital marketing tools in classroom learning. The program also produced eight validated industry-based learning modules, exceeding the initial target. Furthermore, 87% of teachers who were interested in professional certification successfully obtained certification. The results indicate that collaboration between academics and industry practitioners effectively enhances vocational teachers’ competencies and provides a replicable model for improving the quality and industry relevance of vocational education in the digital era.

. The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes in various fields, including education and church life. This study aims to examine the dynamics of the formation of prospective catechists in facing the challenges of AI use at the IPI Malang Pastoral College. This study used a qualitative, descriptive approach, through observation and interviews with students as research subjects. The results show that the use of AI has become an integral part of the learning process, helping students understand material, develop academic skills, and enhance creativity in the pastoral field. However, the use of AI also poses challenges in the form of a tendency towards instantaneous attitudes and potential dependency that can hinder critical thinking skills and deep reflection on faith. In the context of pastoral education, the formation of prospective catechists emphasizes not only intellectual aspects but also spirituality, personality, and pastoral sensitivity. Therefore, the wise and proportional use of AI is necessary, while still positioning it as a supporting tool, not a substitute for human roles. The role of lecturers and educational institutions is crucial in guiding students to be able to use technology critically, reflectively, and responsibly. Thus, the integration of technology and faith values ​​is expected to produce prospective catechists who are able to respond to the challenges of the times in a relevant and meaningful manner.

Learning motivation is one of the important factors that determine whether a student can succeed in college, especially for students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program who must balance academic learning and religious values. This study aims to understand the learning motivation of third-semester students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at STAI Al-Gazali Soppeng, as well as the factors that influence this motivation. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of students selected purposively. Data analysis was carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that student learning motivation is influenced by internal factors such as learning interests, ideals, and religious awareness, as well as external factors such as the teaching methods of lecturers, the learning environment, and support from surrounding communities. These findings indicate that student learning motivation is in the fairly good category, but still needs to be improved. This study emphasizes the importance of innovation in teaching methods and guidance that combine academic and spiritual to continuously strengthen student learning motivation.

The "Educating Social Awareness Creativity Through Craft Skills and Social Service Programs at the Karya Kasih Nursing Home" activity is part of a community service program implemented by lecturers and students at Budi Luhur University. This activity aims to provide moral and social support to the elderly through educational and social activities. The program includes craft skills training, providing basic food assistance, and entertainment activities involving lecturers, students, and nursing home residents. The activity implementation method uses a participatory approach, where students interact directly with the elderly for two weeks. This approach is designed to create positive social relationships, increase emotional engagement, and provide contextual learning experiences for students. The results of the activity indicate that this program has a positive impact on the elderly, particularly in increasing happiness, social interaction, and creative activities. In addition, this activity also contributes to the development of students' soft skills, especially in terms of social empathy, intergenerational communication, and social awareness. Thus, this community service program not only provides benefits for the elderly as recipients of the program

Globalization have encouraged higher education institutions to undertake internationalization. However, its implementation still faces challenges at the academic, governance, and facilities and infrastructure levels. This study aims to investigate internationalization at the State-owned Islamic Higher Education Institution (PTKIN), specifically at the Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, this study analyzes the relationship between internationalisation strategy and dimensions to internationalisation programs and activities in the university studied. Data were collected through a survey to university and faculty leaders, study program managers, and educational staff. The results show a positive and significant relationship between internationalization strategies and dimensions with internationalization. Other findings demonstrate the consistency of internationalization efforts at UIN Sunan Kalijaga in terms of HEIs governance, academics, research, and student affairs. In addition, this study identified three challenges faced by UIN Sunan Kalijaga as a consequence of changes in internationalization priorities at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, namely budget availability, staff/lecturer competence, and facilities/infrastructure supporting internationalization.This study suggests four recommendations, namely collaboration between institutions, establishment of international classes, provision of supporting facilities and infrastructure, enhancement of the number and amount of budgets for international publication/research, and improvement capacity for lecturers/staff.

The campus atmosphere significantly affects students' motivation for learning, influencing their academic experiences, mental health, and social relationships. This study explores how the campus environment impacts students' learning motivation through a literature review approach. The campus atmosphere is a multifaceted concept that includes physical, educational, and social aspects. A conducive physical environment, with well-maintained facilities and adequate learning spaces, enhances students' comfort and focus. The educational environment, particularly the interaction between lecturers and students, teaching methods, and institutional support, plays a key role in students' motivation and involvement. Additionally, the social environment, which includes friendships and a sense of belonging to the campus community, fosters intrinsic motivation and positive learning attitudes. Using a literature review approach, this study analyzes academic sources such as peer-reviewed journals, theses, and scholarly articles on the campus environment and student motivation. The findings indicate that a supportive campus atmosphere enhances students' motivation to learn, while a negative atmosphere can lead to decreased motivation and poor academic involvement. Universities should focus on creating and maintaining a supportive campus atmosphere to improve students' learning motivation and academic success.

This research aims to analyze the structure and identify various forms of linguistic errors found in students’ research reports. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was employed, using documentation studies on three different students’ research reports as the primary data. The findings indicate discrepancies in the text structure, such as unsystematic composition of the introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion sections. Furthermore, various linguistic errors were identified, including spelling, punctuation, diction, ineffective sentence construction, and inconsistencies in citations and references. Other identified issues include content duplication, technical errors in word processing features, and lack of relevance in the theoretical review. The implications of this research emphasize the necessity of improving the quality of research report writing through strengthened academic writing curricula, structured mentoring, the use of reference management technology, and a disciplined scientific literacy culture. This study is expected to serve as an evaluation tool for students, lecturers, and study programs to enhance the standards of scientific writing in higher education.

Higher education management at the master's level currently faces urgent challenges, namely learning fatigue and low engagement among professional students, especially in Prior Learning Recognition (RPL) classes. Currently, lecturers still tend to apply conventional learning methods based on static presentations that fail to accommodate andragogical characteristics due to a lack of dynamic interaction. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the “Humanistic Digital Andragogy” approach through the integration of gamification (Kahoot) and visual thinking (Whimsical) in the Strategic Human Resource Management course. The researchers used a descriptive qualitative design with thematic analysis and collected data through feedback from students in the Master of Management Program (Semarang and Sorong classes). The results revealed that technology served as a double catalyst: Whimsical visualization effectively reduced the cognitive load of complex strategy material, while competition in Kahoot triggered positive adrenaline (eustress) that increased attention. These findings confirm that the success of technology is highly dependent on the role of lecturers as humanistic facilitators (high-touch). This synergy has been proven to change students' perceptions of HRM from merely administrative to strategic partners, as well as creating learning satisfaction that is relevant to the world of work.

This study investigates the role of local language integration as a pedagogical strategy in strengthening academic literacy and shaping students’ identities in multilingual higher education contexts. The study is grounded in the sociolinguistic reality that many students continue to use local languages in their daily lives, while academic learning predominantly relies on formal Indonesian, which is often abstract and normative. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, and document analysis. The findings reveal that local language integration functions as a cognitive, affective, and cultural bridge in academic learning. Local languages are employed as a medium for initial meaning-making, conceptual discussion, and cultural reflection before students develop ideas in academic Indonesian. This practice enhances student participation, strengthens academic literacy, and reinforces local identity within academic spaces. The study concludes that local languages are not obstacles but valuable pedagogical resources. Therefore, their integration should be systematically incorporated into higher education curricula to promote inclusive, contextual, and linguistically just learning environments.

This study investigates code-switching strategies between Indonesian and the Maumere local language in academic Indonesian language learning at the university level. In many higher education contexts, the dominance of standard Indonesian as the sole medium of instruction often creates cognitive, linguistic, and cultural distance for students who come from strong local language backgrounds. This qualitative study aims to describe the forms, pedagogical functions, and academic implications of Maumere–Indonesian code-switching in classroom interaction. Employing a case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, and analysis of learning documents. The findings reveal that code-switching occurs systematically at the opening of lessons, during the explanation of abstract concepts, and in small-group discussions. The Maumere language functions as a cognitive and affective bridge that facilitates comprehension, increases student participation, and strengthens academic literacy. The study concludes that pedagogically controlled code-switching supports additive bilingualism and contributes positively to inclusive, contextual, and culturally responsive academic learning in multilingual higher education settings.

Students in multilingual higher education contexts often face linguistic and identity challenges when engaging with formal and normative academic Indonesian. In such settings, translanguaging emerges as a natural and strategic practice that allows students to draw on their full linguistic repertoires, including local languages, to construct meaning and negotiate academic understanding. This study aims to examine students’ translanguaging practices and their contribution to the formation of academic identity in Indonesian language learning at the university level. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with students and lecturers, and document analysis of learning materials and students’ academic assignments. The findings reveal that translanguaging functions as both a cognitive and affective strategy that facilitates conceptual understanding, enhances participation, and strengthens students’ academic confidence. Moreover, translanguaging plays a crucial role in shaping an inclusive and hybrid academic identity, positioning local languages as legitimate pedagogical resources rather than obstacles. These findings highlight the need to recognize translanguaging within language policy and curriculum design to support equitable and context-sensitive academic learning in multilingual higher education.

Academic literacy is a crucial competence in Indonesian language learning as it supports the development of critical thinking, academic reading, and writing skills. However, Indonesian language instruction is often disconnected from students’ cultural backgrounds, resulting in less meaningful learning experiences. This study aims to describe the integration of Maumere local cultural texts in Indonesian language learning and to analyze their contribution to strengthening academic literacy based on local wisdom. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, and analysis of instructional documents. The findings reveal that Maumere local cultural texts were integrated through the use of folktales, traditional expressions, and reflective as well as argumentative writing tasks. This integration contributed to the improvement of students’ critical reading skills, academic argumentation, and reflective literacy. Moreover, local cultural texts functioned as pedagogical capital that bridged students’ cultural experiences with academic language practices. The study concludes that integrating Maumere local cultural texts strengthens academic literacy while affirming students’ cultural identity. Therefore, Indonesian language learning should adopt a contextual approach grounded in local wisdom.

Abstract: The promotion of religious moderation in society can prevent potential conflicts and build bridges of brotherhood between religious communities. Likewise, the IAKN Tarutung Postgraduate Christian religious education masters study program through Community Service activities in Doloksanggul sub-district, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. Community service activities participants consist of lecturers and students. Through this activity, the Christian religious education Masters Study Program also carried out research aimed at finding out the benefits of socializing religious moderation in Doloksanggul Village, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. The material content of religious socialization activities contains 4 indicators as follows: 1. Teaching the ability to live with differences, 2. Building mutual trust, 3. Mutual understanding, 4. Being respectful of each other. This method of implementing community service applies the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. Community service activities will be carried out from May to August 2024 with a target group of 33 adult people. The community is taught to understand the 4 indicators above through the guidance of the Community service activities team. The benefits of socializing religious moderation in Doloksanggul Village, Humbang Hasundutan Regency can be seen from the number of respondents who answered the question yes on average, 31.6 with a percentage of 95.85%, while the number of respondents who answered no was 1.4 with a percentage of 4.15%. This means that the material content of religious moderation socialization activities in Doloksanggul Village, Humbang Hasundutan Regency is very useful in preventing potential conflicts and building bridges of brotherhood between religious communities.
