Body composition is the ratio of fat mass to fat-free mass in the body, which is an important factor in maintaining health, especially in adolescents who are experiencing rapid growth and development. Balanced body composition in adolescence can support physical health and prevent various diseases. Imbalanced body composition has the potential to cause obesity, metabolic disorders, heart disease, and musculoskeletal problems. Educational activities and body composition examinations are carried out using the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) approach, involving counseling on healthy lifestyles and body composition examinations. This program has succeeded in increasing adolescents' understanding of the importance of maintaining body composition balance and adopting healthy habits. Health education and routine body composition monitoring provide benefits in preventive efforts to prevent future health risks. Continuous body composition examinations and education are important steps in efforts to control health among adolescents.

Elderly will experience changes in body composition which will affect the Waist to Hip Ratio (WHR) and have an impact on blood pressure. Hypertension is often found in the elderly in Indonesia. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship and differences in WHR and body composition between hypertensive and non-hypertensive elderly. The design used in this research is case control. The population of this study included all elderly people in the Griya Werdha Jambangan Surabaya Regional Technical Implementation Unit (RTIU) with a total sample of 76 elderly people consisting of 38 hypertensive and 38 non-hypertensive. The results of the research were the relationship between getting WHR, fat mass, muscle mass (p = 0,000), bone mass (p = 0,026), and fluid mass (p = 0,049). The results of the study were differences in WHR, fat mass, muscle mass, bone mass (p = 0,000), and fluid mass (p = 0,001). The odds ratio (OR) value shows that elderly people with obesity WHR have a risk of 27,4, more fat mass and muscle mass below normal have a risk of 24,4, bone mass below normal has a risk of 5,8, and less fluid mass has a risk of 5,1 times developing hypertension. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between WHR and body composition and hypertension, and there are differences in WHR ​​and body composition values between hypertensive and non-hypertensive elderly.

Balanced nutrition is a daily food composition that contains nutrients in types and quantities that suit the body's needs, taking into account the principles of food diversity, physical activity, clean living behavior and monitoring body weight regularly in order to maintain a normal body weight to prevent nutritional problems. and maintain the immune system in the body. Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood, where physical, emotional and psychological changes occur. To achieve optimal growth, adequate nutritional intake is needed. A diet with balanced nutrition is one of the main factors in the complex nutritional problems in Indonesia. People need to get clear and adequate information about a diet with balanced nutrition, including eating a variety of foods (eating vegetables and fruit), clean living behavior, physical activity, and regularly weighing yourself as a component of a balanced lifestyle. Basically, nutritional problems in adolescents arise due to incorrect nutritional behavior, namely an imbalance between nutritional consumption and recommended nutritional adequacy. Nutritional condition or nutritional status is a description of what is consumed over a long period of time. The nutritional condition can be in the form of undernutrition, good or normal or overnutrition. Deficiency of one nutrient can cause disease in the form of deficiency disease. If deficiencies within marginal limits cause milder disorders or decreased functional ability.

Body composition refers to the distribution of fat, muscle, bone, and other tissues in the human body, which is often expressed as a percentage of total body weight consisting of fat mass and lean body mass. Obesity, characterized by excess fat in adipose tissue, poses a significant health risk and is increasing in countries with low and medium mortality rates, especially in metropolitan areas. Factors contributing to this include genetics, a lack of physical activity, socioeconomic status, unhealthy eating patterns, psychosocial factors, smoking, and alcohol consumption. Excess body fat significantly contributes to morbidity and mortality. Although optimal body fat levels vary, excess fat increases the risk of health issues such as joint problems and cardiovascular disease. People widely use bioimpedance analysis (BIA), an efficient, non-invasive method, to assess nutritional status and body composition. This activity uses the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) method, which is carried out at PT. Narindo, North Jakarta, in the productive age population. The examination results showed that the average levels of total body fat, visceral fat, total subcutaneous fat, total muscle mass were 28.6%; 11%; 22.2%; 28.3%. Early detection of body composition is critical for assessing nutritional and health status as well as diagnosing disease, potentially reducing obesity-related morbidity and mortality.

Aging is associated with significant changes in body composition, specifically a decrease in lean body mass and an increase in fat mass. These changes contribute to the prevalence of obesity and sarcopenia in the elderly population, impacting quality of life, morbidity and mortality. A complex interaction between hormonal decline, chronic inflammation, nutritional deficiencies, and reduced physical activity underlies these changes. This activity uses the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology to screen for obesity and sarcopenia in the elderly at St. Mary's Church, Francis of Assisi. We use Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to measure body composition, which includes total body fat, visceral fat, subcutaneous fat, and muscle mass. Among 32 participants, the average total body fat, visceral fat, subcutaneous fat, and muscle mass were 36.5% each; 9.6%; 9.68%; and 21.5%. Body composition assessment using BIA is very important in managing the elderly's health. Preventive strategies, including tailored exercise programmes, nutritional counselling, and lifestyle modifications, are essential to maintain muscle mass and prevent excessive fat deposition, thereby improving quality of life and reducing morbidity and mortality. Body composition refers to the various components that make up a person's body weight, such as lean mass (muscle, water, bones, ligaments, and tendons) and fat mass. As we age, significant changes occur in body composition, including increased fat mass and decreased muscle and bone mass, which often leads to sarcopenic obesity. This condition, which is common in older adults, is associated with frailty, disability, metabolic syndrome, reduced survival rates in certain cancers, and osteopenia/osteoporosis. This activity uses the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) method to measure the body composition of elderly participants at Hana Nursing Home, South Tangerang. A total of 40 participants underwent body composition examinations. The examination results showed that the average total body fat, visceral fat, subcutaneous fat, and skeletal muscle mass were 36.7% each; 8%; 27.6%; and 20.7%. We need to carry out routine body composition checks for early detection to provide timely management, ultimately improving long-term public health. Obesity, characterised by excessive or abnormal fat accumulation, poses significant health risks. The prevalence of obesity in Indonesia's adult population increased from 14.8% in 2013 to 21.8% in 2018, with central obesity rising from 26.6% to 31%. Contributing factors include genetics, lifestyle, psychological stress, and socioeconomic status. Although the Body Mass Index (BMI) is a standard measurement for assessing obesity, BMI does not accurately reflect the composition or distribution of body fat. Therefore, additional anthropometric measurements such as waist and hip circumference are essential. This activity uses the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) methodology to screen for obesity in adults at Kalam Kudus Middle School, West Jakarta. Of the 129 participants, 26 people (20.16%) were overweight and 35 people (27.14%) were obese. Waist circumference indicated central obesity in 61 women (47.29%) and 19 men (14.73%). Hip circumference showed that 9 men and women (6.98%) had a high risk of metabolic disease. Anthropometric measurements provide important insights into obesity and its health implications, emphasising the need for regular screening and lifestyle modification.

Chicken eggs are a food commodity with high interest and demand in society. Chicken eggs contain complete nutrients needed by the human body, but chicken eggs cannot be stored for long periods. Therefore, this research aims to find the best egg preservation method so that eggs can be stored without changing the important composition of the egg. The materials used are fresh chicken eggs, hot water, and limestone. The method used is preserving eggs with various media: (P0) eggs without preservation, (P1) preserving with limestone, and (P2) preserving eggs by dipping in hot water. Each egg was stored for 7 days at room temperature. The results showed that storing eggs for 7 days using various preservation methods did not significantly affect (P>0.05) of the values of shell thickness, specific gravity, egg cleanliness, and egg texture. This research suggests that storing raw eggs does not require preservation if the eggs are only stored for 7 days. It is best to store it for more than 7 days.

Air pollution has a broad impact on the people of South Kalimantan and causes the incidence of ISPA. TOGA utilization is still low due to a lack of public knowledge about plant types and their uses. The aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge of traditional independent health care groups. This activity was held on Monday, October 9 2023 at 13.30 – 15.30 WITA which was attended by 10 cadres. Activities are carried out using the lecture method and using leaflets. The leaflet material contains the definition of ISPA, general instructions regarding the processing of natural ingredients as potions, the composition of potions for coughs and colds, sore throats, shortness of breath and potions to increase body endurance. Evaluation of activities is carried out using pretest and posttest methods. The activity went well and succeeded in increasing the knowledge of the cadres.

Indonesia is currently facing various health and nutrition problems. Indonesia experiences a triple burden of nutritional problems, namely malnutrition, excess nutrition (obesity) and micronutrient deficiencies. To overcome this nutritional problem, it can be done by implementing balanced nutrition. Balanced nutrition is a daily food composition that contains nutrients in types and quantities that suit the body's needs, taking into account the principles of food diversity or variety, physical activity, cleanliness and ideal body weight.Objective: Service activities are carried out to increase knowledge about balanced nutrition, determine nutritional status, and as a training tool for nutrition students in providing nutrition and health education to the community. This activity is expected to increase knowledge of balanced nutrition for children and adolescents at the Qurrotu A'yun Batam Center Orphanage.Conclusion: This counseling activity was carried out at the Qurrotu A'yun Batam Center Orphanage, Batam City, which was attended by children and teenagers. The activity consisted of an opening led by a team of lecturers and continued by reading material presented by a team of lecturers and students. Then the moderator returned to the event for a question and answer session and continued with measuring nutritional status and providing snacks to posyandu participants.

Chronic renal failure is a progressive and continuous destruction of kidney structures. Chronic renal failure occurs in susceptible individuals, analgesic nephropathy, destruction of renal papillae associated with daily use of analgesic drugs for years. Whatever the cause, there is a progressive deterioration of kidney function which is characterized by a progressive decrease in the Glomelurus Filter Rate (GFR) (Corwin, 2009). Chronic kidney failure is a failure of kidney function to maintain metabolism and fluid and electrolyte balance due to progressive destruction of kidney structures with manifestations of accumulation of residual metabolites (uremic toxicants) in the blood (Muttaqin & Sari, 2011). as well as electrolytes and acid-base composition of body fluids, removing metabolic wastes that are no longer needed by the body, regulating blood pressure and hormonal function. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is the final stage of chronic kidney failure where GFR <15 ml/min/1.73m2 so that the body fails to maintain metabolism and fluid and electrolyte balance, causing uremia, namely retention of urea and other nitrogenous wastes in the blood (Smeltzer et al. al, 2008; National Kidney Foundation in Kallenbach, et al, 2005). With the increasingly real decline in kidney function or worsening of symptoms of uremia, renal replacement therapy is required for survival, namely dialysis and organ transplantation. There are two methods of dialysis, one of which is Hemodialysis (Potter, 2005; Smelzer, 2008).

With the increasingly real decline in kidney function or worsening of symptoms of uremia, renal replacement therapy is required for survival, namely dialysis and organ transplantation. There are two methods of dialysis, one of which is Hemodialysis (Potter, 2005; Smelzer, 2008). Cases of chronic kidney failure in the world have increased by more than 50%, in the United States which is a very developed country every year there are about 20 million adults suffering from chronic kidney failure and undergoing hemodialysis in more than 100,000 patients, while in Indonesia, according to the Indonesian Kidney Diatrans Foundation, YDGI), in 2007 there were about 100,000 chronic kidney failure patients but only a few patients were able to undergo hemodialysis. Kidney replacement therapy in Indonesia was started in 1972 in Jakarta (Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital/FKUI), in Bandung in 1976 (Hasan Sadikin Hospital/FK UNPAD).

Indonesia is an agricultural country that has great potential for the development of tropical fruits, horticultural crops and vegetables. Vegetables are important foods that are needed by the body because they contain nutrients needed by the body. However, some sweet potatoes that contain nutrients have not been adequately studied and utilized, including sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L) from the Convulvulaceae family (Suparman, 2007). Sweet potato plants (Ipomoea batatas L) from 1968 until now have been widely produced, even Indonesia was the fourth largest country that produced sweet potato plants.The objectives of this study were: 1) Knowing the process of making purple sweet potato Gel candy; 2) Knowing consumer acceptance of purple sweet potato Gel candy products; 3) Knowing the nutritional content of purple sweet potato Gel candy. The methods used in this research include literary, documentation, experimental, organoleptic, hedonic and nutritional content methods. The resulting data is then processed and evaluated and then presented in tables and diagrams with in-depth explanations.The results showed that the best formula composition is found in code 472 The characteristics of the purple sweet potato gel candy produced are sweet and sour taste, candy aroma, solid chewy texture, light purple color. The panelists' acceptance of the making of purple sweet potato gel candy through the hedonic test results showed that the most favored by the Panelists were the product code 472 with a composition of 60 grams of sweet potato, 75 grams of gelatin, 75 grams of sugar, 1 gram of himalaya salt.

The increase in Life Expectancy (UHH) has an impact on the increase in the elderly population and the problems due to aging. One of them is the system for regulating blood sugar levels which is disrupted due to changes in the body composition of the elderly in the form of increased fat composition from the body 14% to 30%. Efforts to prevent the incidence of Diabetes Mellitus is to achieve good nutritional status with anthropometric measurements, namely the division of body weight in kg with height in meters squared expressed in body mass index or BMI. This study aims to analyze the relationship between BMI and blood sugar levels in the elderly at the Sabar Narimo Posyandu, Lempuyangan Hamlet, Gebugan Village, Bergas District, Semarang Regency. The research design used was descriptive observational with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples was 40 elderly who were taken by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used to measure BMI is a digital weight scale, and a microtoise that has been calibrated, while blood sugar levels are measured using a glucometer. Data were analyzed by Pearson Corellation test. The results of this study indicate the frequency distribution of blood sugar levels in the elderly at the Posyandu Sabar Narimo on average 139.92 mg/dl and an average BMI of 25.24 kg/m2. The results showed that BMI was related to the variable of blood sugar levels with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.614 and a significance value (?) of 0.0234 then there is a relationship. The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between blood sugar and BMI in the elderly at the Sabar Narimo Posyandu, Lempuyangan Hamlet, Gebugan Village, Bergas District, Semarang Regency.
