This article discusses the implementation of FPCI Goes to School (FGTS) 4.0, an educational outreach initiative conducted by the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) Chapter UPN Veteran Jakarta, with the objective of increasing students’ awareness and understanding of international political dynamics. The initiative addresses the growing need for public literacy on global issues that often have indirect but significant effects on national and local communities, such as trade disruptions and inflation caused by geopolitical conflicts. Using the Russia-Ukraine war as the primary case study, this activity sought to explore how international events influence domestic realities, including the rising cost of grain-based products and the spread of digital propaganda. The program was held at Muhammadiyah 2 Senior High School Jakarta and employed a participatory method involving socialization sessions, group discussions, and pre-test and post-tests evaluations to measure knowledge gain and critical thinking. Findings show that students demonstrated a strong grasp of basic geopolitical knowledge (+90% correct identification) and high level of awareness regarding digital security practices (+95% relevant answers). Slightly lower comprehension was observed in questions requiring simple analytical reasoning about international politics. This activity concludes that early exposure to international political education, delivered through targeted civic engagement programs, is promising to cultivate for a more globally-aware and resilient future citizens.

Law enforcement in civil cases that have obtained permanent legal force (inkracht van gewijsde) often faces various complex challenges. For example, in land ownership cases that may be suspected of being linked to corruption crimes. Therefore, law enforcement officials must ensure that there is strong and sufficient evidence to process criminal elements without undermining the legal certainty of civil cases that have been decided. Good coordination between civil and criminal judicial institutions is also essential to ensure that justice can be comprehensively upheld. This research is qualitative in nature regarding concepts, relevant laws, and legal facts related to the issues being studied. The data obtained is subsequently analyzed using descriptive analysis, which is an analysis conducted by elaborating the obtained data. The research results show that: (1) The procedure executed by law enforcement officials aligns with the legal authority granted to them. However, the process may result in losses for parties legally proven not to have committed unlawful acts, as evidenced by the final and binding legal decision, with the case dependent on further evidentiary proceedings; (2) Obstacles in law enforcement processes stem from three primary factors: the law itself, law enforcement officials, and society, wherein socio-political interventions can provoke public opinion and conflicts between law enforcement and the community.

Dormant status on a bank account is a condition in which an account is declared inactive because there have been no transactions for a certain period of time, so that it is automatically frozen by the bank. In Indonesian banking practices, changes in account status to dormant are often carried out based on the bank's internal policy without any clear notification to customers. This raises legal issues, especially related to the protection of customer rights to their funds, transparency of information, and access to financial services. The purpose of this study is to examine the extent to which the State provides legal protection that will be received by customers against the policy of automatically changing account status to dormant, as well as to evaluate the regulations in the Indonesian banking legal system. This study uses a normative legal approach, namely an approach that is based on literature studies by examining positive law, legal doctrine, and relevant literature. The approaches used include the statute approach and the conceptual approach. The results of the study indicate that legal protection for customers with dormant account status is still weak because there are no specific regulations that explicitly regulate this matter. The applicable legal regulations are still inclusive or general and do not sufficiently guarantee legal certainty and justice for customers. Therefore, special regulations are needed from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Bank Indonesia that establish transparent mechanisms, easy procedures, and balanced protection of customer rights. It is hoped that strengthening these regulations can increase public trust in the banking system and guarantee justice and legal certainty.

The rapid development of information technology has significantly driven the growth of e-commerce as one of the main channels in modern commercial activities. In the beauty product sector, digital platforms offer consumers easier access and simultaneously expand market reach for business actors. However, this advancement also brings various challenges, particularly in relation to consumer protection. Common issues include product authenticity, information transparency, transaction security, and dispute resolution mechanisms. In this context, legal protection for consumers has become an urgent matter that cannot be overlooked. This study aims to analyze the forms of legal protection available to consumers of beauty products in e-commerce transactions and to assess the effectiveness of existing regulations in addressing these challenges. Using a normative juridical approach, the study evaluates relevant legislation, such as Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, along with other regulations related to electronic transactions. The findings reveal that although legal instruments have been established to safeguard consumer rights, their implementation still encounters obstacles, including limited supervision of online business actors and low consumer literacy regarding their rights. Therefore, efforts are needed to strengthen regulations, improve consumer education, and optimize the roles of supervisory and dispute resolution institutions. In this way, the consumer protection system in the e-commerce sector—particularly for beauty products—can operate more effectively and provide a greater sense of security for the public in conducting digital transactions.

This article discusses the impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) integration on the general insurance underwriting model. This study used a Narrative Literature Review (NLR) to review relevant literature. The NLR review was conducted on scientific publications, industry reports, regulatory documents related to ESG, and general insurance underwriting from 2019 to 2025. The reviewed literature shows that adopting ESG factors in the underwriting process changes risk assessment and creates more sustainable practices in the insurance industry. The analysis results show that companies with higher ESG scores have better underwriting performance and attract more investment while increasing stakeholder trust, including an increasing trend of ESG factor integration into the underwriting process, especially in risk assessment and premium determination. Regulatory changes encourage insurance companies to adopt underwriting practices that consider more environmental and social aspects. This study also identifies challenges in implementation, including the limited standardized ESG data and the need to increase human resource capacity. The implications of this study provide insights for regulators and industry players in developing underwriting policies and strategies that are more responsive to ESG issues, as well as highlighting opportunities for ESG-based insurance product innovation in the future.

This study aims to identify the optimal model in the integration of philosophical disciplines in the structure of the educational program of “Public Administration” students, as well as explore the features of the management of educational strategies suitable for the training of civil servants. The main focus of this research is: 1) academic management strategies to overcome curriculum overlap due to the dominance of philosophical disciplines in public administration study programs; 2) adaptation of educational programs for public administration students to be in line with the needs of the world of work, both at national and international levels; 3) characteristics of internationalization of public administration education programs, especially in the context of academic mobility and adaptation of the Indonesian public administration system to global standards. This research uses the cultural-historical analysis approach, comparative method, structural-functional method, and expert evaluation to explore and analyze problems and develop solutions. The research findings show that the dominance of traditional philosophy courses in the curriculum is often ineffective in shaping the competencies needed in the world of work. The research identified three main challenges: saturation of the curriculum with theoretical courses, lack of connection between the curriculum and the practical needs of the working world, and low use of English in teaching key courses. To address these issues, this research proposes restructuring the curriculum through the integration of three disciplinary groups: applied logic, cultural studies, and applied political science. In addition, the implementation of a contextualized bilingual learning model is also considered as a solution to improve the relevance of the curriculum. The uniqueness of this article lies in its approach that combines philosophical studies with managerial strategies in curriculum design, complemented by empirical experiences from international and cross-institutional cooperation. This article offers a reinterpretation of the utilization of philosophy as a tool for the development of professional competence in public administration education, not just as an abstract worldview.

The principles of democracy in the Hadith perspective reflect Islamic beliefs that emphasize the values of equality, deliberation, and justice. Although the word “democracy” is not found in the hadith texts, the teachings on the basic principles of democracy contain and underlie people's participation, freedom of speech, and respect for the rights of each individual that can be found in the teachings of the prophet Muhammad SAW. Hadiths related to deliberation (shura), social justice, and leader selection indicate that decision-making in society should be based on inclusiveness, transparency, and responsibility. For example, hadith-reports that suggest deliberation in dealing with important issues indicate respect for individual voices and opinions in a collective decision. In addition, the concept of justice in the hadith emphasizes the importance of equal treatment of all members of society without discrimination. The purpose of this article is to provide knowledge about democracy in the Hadith perspective in the perspective of hadith. Thus, the hadith perspective provides a moral and ethical foundation for the implementation of democratic principles that are oriented towards the welfare of the people and the fair management of public interests.

The evolution of social media and its algorithms has transformed the dissemination of Pancasila as Indonesia’s national ideology. This study aims to analyze the representation of Pancasila in algorithmically curated digital discourse and its impact on public understanding. A qualitative approach, combining digital discourse analysis and netnography, was applied to examine content on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Findings reveal the dual role of social media algorithms: while facilitating educational content on Pancasila (e.g., religious tolerance, human rights campaigns, and nationalism), they also amplify polarizing content, hoaxes, and hate speech that contradict Pancasila values. Analysis of Pancasila’s five principles shows that conflict-driven content (e.g., ethnic-religious issues) gains higher virality due to algorithms’ prioritization of engagement metrics. The filter bubble and echo chamber phenomena exacerbate discourse fragmentation, hindering inclusive dialogue about national ideology. The study concludes that Pancasila-based digital literacy, algorithmic transparency, and multistakeholder collaboration are critical to optimizing social media’s role in strengthening national identity. Policy recommendations include integrating "social cohesion" parameters into algorithm design and regulating content to uphold diversity.

Air pollution is one of the most pressing environmental issues with significant impacts on human health. This study aims to examine the relationship between air pollution levels and human health disorders, as well as to identify effective mitigation solutions. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through literature reviews from various journals, WHO reports, and other official sources. The analysis shows that exposure to air pollutants, particularly fine particulate matter (PM2.5), carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone, can trigger respiratory, cardiovascular, and mental health disorders, and adversely affect children and pregnancies. These impacts are both short-term and long-term, including increased premature mortality and reduced quality of life. To minimize these effects, strategic solutions are needed, such as strengthening emission regulations, promoting eco-friendly transportation, using air purifiers, developing green open spaces, and providing public education. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between the government, society, and the private sector in creating clean air and a sustainably healthy environment.

Public service is an essential element that reflects the quality of governance in Indonesia, particularly in population administration, which includes the issuance of important documents such as ID cards (KTP), family cards (KK), birth certificates, and death certificates. Along with technological advancements, Indonesia launched the Digital Population Identity (IKD) application to improve efficiency and reduce reliance on physical documents. This study aims to evaluate the positive public’s response of the IKD application in Singosari District, Malang Regency, as well as to identify the challenges and factors influencing the implementation of this policy. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with approaches such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that although the IKD application facilitates the administrative process, there are still challenges such as a lack of public’s response, limited mobile device availability, and technical issues with the application. Socialization through social media and the improvement of operator capacity are key supporting factors for the success of the implementation. This study contributes theoretically to the development of E-Governance concepts and practically highlights the importance of digital education for the public. It is suggested that enhanced socialization for groups less familiar with technology, improved supporting infrastructure, and training for service operators are necessary to ensure the success of the IKD application in population administration services in Singosari District.

This study examines consumer protection efforts against the distribution of hazardous illegal traditional herbal medicines in Serang City, Banten. The widespread circulation of such products—particularly those containing Chemical Drugs (Bahan Kimia Obat/BKO) and lacking distribution permits—poses a significant threat to public health. Between 2020 and 2025, the Inspection Division of the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BBPOM) in Serang secured and destroyed approximately 706 items, totaling 6,841 units, with an estimated economic value of IDR 91,158,350. The research focuses on two main issues: the mechanisms for protecting consumers from dangerous illegal traditional herbal medicines in Serang City, and the role of BBPOM in supervising their circulation. Employing an empirical juridical method with a qualitative-descriptive approach, the study collected data through literature reviews, documentation, and interviews with BBPOM Serang officials. The findings indicate that consumer protection is carried out through both preventive and repressive measures. Preventive efforts involve pre-market and post-market supervision to ensure that products meet safety and regulatory standards before and after they enter the market. Repressive actions include law enforcement against violations, confiscation and destruction of illegal products, and the imposition of administrative and criminal sanctions on offenders. BBPOM Serang plays a pivotal role in monitoring illegal herbal medicines by conducting regular inspections, surveillance, and investigations of production and distribution facilities, as well as educating the public about the dangers of unsafe products. Nevertheless, supervision efforts are hindered by challenges such as low public awareness regarding product safety and economic pressures that drive some producers and sellers to ignore legal requirements. Strengthening collaboration between regulatory agencies, law enforcement, and community stakeholders is essential to improving consumer protection and ensuring the circulation of safe traditional herbal products in the region.
