The problem of household organic waste management, especially kitchen waste, is still an environmental challenge that has not been handled optimally. In fact, this waste has great potential to be used as environmentally friendly products. One solution that can be applied is the manufacture of eco-enzymes, which are fermented liquids from organic waste that function as a substitute for synthetic chemicals in various household and agricultural purposes. This community service activity aims to increase the awareness and skills of residents in managing organic waste through the creation of eco-enzymes as a tangible form of applying the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) principle. The activity was carried out in Kedu Village by involving PKK women, PSRT members, the Farmer Women Group (KWT), and housewives. The methods used include counseling on the impact of household waste and the benefits of eco-enzymes, as well as direct practice of making eco-enzymes accompanied by Mrs. Faila and students of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) of Tidar University. The implementation process includes sorting kitchen waste, mixing fermentation ingredients, and monitoring yields during the incubation period. The results of the activity show that the community is able to understand the concept and techniques of making eco-enzymes well. The active participation of residents in hands-on practice reflects increased knowledge and skills in independent organic waste management. In addition, this activity encourages the formation of new sustainable habits in utilizing household waste, while reducing dependence on synthetic chemicals. Thus, this service makes a positive contribution to environmental conservation efforts and local community empowerment through educational and applicative approaches.

Mathematics learning, particularly in geometry, is often perceived as abstract and less engaging by students, leading to reduced interest and creativity. One of the geometry topics that demands a more creative and concrete approach is the tessellation of flat shapes, which emphasizes the understanding of patterns, symmetry, and regularity of shapes. The absence of contextual learning media has contributed to students’ low enthusiasm and limited ability to apply concepts in real-life contexts. This community service activity was designed to address these challenges by enhancing students’ creativity and conceptual understanding through the use of ceramic media as an innovative and enjoyable learning tool. The program was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Rowosari, Tembalang District, Semarang City, involving mathematics teachers, elementary school students, and university students. The implementation method included training and mentoring sessions. Activities encompassed the introduction of tessellation concepts, hands-on demonstrations, and the guided creation of tessellation patterns using ceramic media. Participants consisted of teachers and students who actively engaged in both theoretical and practical sessions. Evaluation was conducted through pre-test and post-test questionnaires administered before and after the training. The results revealed a significant improvement in students’ average scores after the activity. Pre-test data showed that approximately half of the students scored above the average, with two students achieving nearly perfect scores. Post-test results indicated that most students demonstrated increased understanding and creativity in applying tessellation concepts. Nevertheless, a small number of students still required further guidance, particularly in translating abstract tessellation concepts into real-life applications. Overall, the findings suggest that integrating ceramic media into mathematics learning is effective in making abstract geometry concepts more tangible, stimulating students’ creativity, and improving learning outcomes, especially in the topic of tessellation of flat shapes.

This study aims to examine the influence of financial literacy, financial technology, and financial behavior on investment decisions among students at the Universitas Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia Semarang. The data used in this study is primary data, obtained through the distribution of questionnaires via Google Forms to students at the Universitas Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia Semarang. The population of this study consists of students from the university, and the sampling technique used is probability sampling with purposive sampling. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 10%. The analysis tool used in this study is SPSS 26 to process and analyze the data. This study tests three hypotheses: H1, which states that financial literacy does not significantly affect investment decisions, H2, which states that financial technology does not significantly affect investment decisions, and H3, which states that financial behavior significantly affects investment decisions. The results of the study indicate that H1 is accepted, meaning that financial literacy does not significantly influence investment decisions. On H2, the results also show that financial technology does not significantly affect investment decisions. However, for H3, the results show that financial behavior significantly influences investment decisions. Therefore, it can be concluded that while financial literacy and financial technology do not have a significant impact on students' investment decisions, financial behavior plays a more dominant role in influencing their investment decisions. This study provides valuable insights for universities and other educational institutions to focus more on improving students' financial behavior as a strategic step in enhancing the quality of investment decisions

This research was motivated by public hesitation to invest in digital gold through the Dana app, which refers to Fatwa No. 77/DSN-MUI/V/2010 concerning non-cash gold buying and selling. This fatwa serves as a guideline for Muslims investing in gold. Furthermore, the author has not found any licensing from the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) for the Dana app. Furthermore, several students at Batang Hari Islamic University (UNI) have the Dana app and use it to invest in gold. They were seen buying gold on a certain day and reselling it the next day. The added value from the sale was a profit for the students, but there was also a loss for students who exchanged their gold purchases when the price of gold fell. Furthermore, this research is designed in the form of field research (Empirical Jurisprudence), which is a type of sociological legal research and can be described as field research, which examines applicable legal provisions and what has occurred in community life. Using observation, interview, and documentation techniques, data analysis and triangulation are then carried out. The conclusion that can be drawn from the previous description is that the Digital Gold Investment Practice on the Dana Application at Batang Hari Islamic University in its mechanism on the Gold Fund feature is carried out non-cash where the certainty of the object, namely gold, is only in the form of savings balances in the form of rupiah and digital gold weight with no physical gold ownership if the gold savings have not reached 1 gram. In gold investment transactions on the Dana application, the results show that smaller profits are obtained by buyers due to certain problems related to the buyers themselves. The Digital Gold Investment Practice on the Dana application in the Islamic Law Perspective at Batang Hari Islamic University, by juxtaposing several related fatwas, in practice in Islamic law, the investment practice in the Gold Fund feature is considered to contain gharar related to gold objects that have no physical clarity.

Tidaran 1 Hamlet, Candiretno Village, Magelang Regency, is a rural area with quite heavy traffic in several areas. One location of particular concern is the bends and T-junctions in RT 11, which are frequently used by both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. This area is known to be an accident-prone area due to blind spots that obstruct the view of drivers from both directions. Unfortunately, to date, there are no safety facilities such as traffic signs or convex mirrors to aid visibility. Seeing this problem, students participating in the Community Service Program (KKN) from Tidar University conducted an intervention based on community needs. One effort was the installation of convex mirrors to minimize the risk of accidents. This activity was carried out using an action research method (action research), which included field observation, risk analysis, solution design, implementation, and impact evaluation. Throughout the process, students actively involved the community, the RT head, and village officials to ensure the proposed solution was participatory and sustainable. Convex mirrors with a diameter of 80 cm and a 2.5-meter-high support pole were installed at strategic points on the bends. Following the installation, follow-up observations and interviews with local residents were conducted. The results showed a significant improvement in visibility for drivers, especially at night and in similar weather. Residents reported feeling safer, less hesitant when crossing, and more alert to oncoming traffic. This program not only improved safety but also raised public awareness of the importance of traffic management. Therefore, similar interventions can be replicated in other vulnerable areas, with collaborative support from the community, universities, and village government.

This study aims to analyze the influence of product quality, price, and product innovation on purchasing decisions for Viva lipstick, with brand image as a mediating variable, among female university students in Semarang. The research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method, using purposive sampling of 100 female students who use Viva lipstick. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The results reveal that product quality has a positive and significant effect on both purchasing decisions and brand image. This indicates that consumers’ perceptions of Viva lipstick’s quality—such as color durability, texture smoothness, and comfort in use—play an important role in shaping a positive brand image and encouraging purchasing decisions. In contrast, price and product innovation were found to have no significant effect on either purchasing decisions or brand image, suggesting that the current pricing strategy and product innovation efforts have not yet become the main attraction for consumers. Brand image was found to have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions and to mediate the influence of product quality on purchasing decisions. This mediation is partial, meaning that product quality influences purchasing decisions not only directly but also indirectly through the enhancement of brand image. The practical implications of this study emphasize the importance for Viva Cosmetics to continuously improve product quality, including formulation and packaging, while strengthening brand communication strategies to ensure consistent positive consumer perceptions. Furthermore, the company should reassess its pricing and product innovation strategies to remain competitive in the dynamic cosmetics market. By focusing on product quality and brand image, Viva is expected to increase consumer appeal and loyalty, particularly within the university student market segment.

In today's world, many young individuals still lack effective communication skills, a trend that is evident among university students, particularly those from Generation Z. These students, despite having access to technology and social media, are often not taught how to communicate in a professional and respectful manner. This paper discusses the importance of communication skills and their development through the Interpersonal Skills (KI) course. Within this course, students not only develop communication abilities but also both soft and hard skills essential for their personal and professional growth. The course includes various assessments, one of which is the Community Service (PKM) output. This PKM aims to provide students with practical experience in communication by engaging with external partners and presenting ideas related to their academic programs. The activities conducted under this PKM serve as an assignment for the course, contributing to grades for assignments, Mid-Semester Exams (UTS), and Final Semester Exams (UAS). Students are tasked with creating proposals, reports, posters, and videos as part of the assignment, and for the UTS, they present proposals to their partners. The UAS grade is based on the final report presentation, showcasing the results of their PKM activities. Through the KI course, students gain valuable experience in communicating with external partners, collaborating in teams, and presenting their work confidently in front of their peers. These activities not only enhance students' communication skills but also foster leadership qualities and teamwork, preparing them for professional environments. Thus, the KI course plays a crucial role in developing interpersonal communication skills that are essential in today's interconnected world.

Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is a processed coconut product with high economic and health value. VCO production is known to be relatively easy, inexpensive, and capable of producing high-quality oil rich in benefits, including as a traditional medicine and natural ingredient for beauty and health. This community service activity aims to provide students of the Biology Education Study Program at Buton Muslim University with an understanding and practical skills regarding the VCO production process as a form of utilization of local natural resources, especially coconuts. The methods used in this activity include lectures or delivery of theoretical material, interactive discussions on the content and benefits of VCO, and direct practice in making virgin coconut oil using the settling method. This method was chosen because it does not require complicated equipment, does not use excessive heating, and is able to maintain the natural quality of the resulting oil. During the implementation, students are invited to observe and follow the entire process, from selecting good coconut raw materials, the grating process, squeezing coconut milk, natural fermentation through settling, to the process of separating oil from sediment and filtering. The results of this activity demonstrated that students not only understood the concept and theory of VCO production but also produced 1,500 ml of virgin coconut oil packaged in five 300 ml bottles. The VCO was then sold to the public for approximately Rp 30,000 per bottle. Through this activity, students not only gained contextual learning experiences but also developed insights into sustainable, locally-based entrepreneurship.

This research is motivated by the importance of understanding the niqab (face veil) as a religious symbol and an identity marker for Muslim women, which continues to spark public debate in Indonesia. The niqab is often viewed from various perspectives—religious, cultural, social, and political—making it a controversial topic. These differing viewpoints highlight the need for a deeper exploration of the meaning and practice of wearing the niqab, especially within Islamic higher education institutions. The study aims to examine both the normative and sociological aspects of niqab use among female students at Ma’had Al-Birr, Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar. This institution is known for having a significant number of students who wear the niqab, each with different backgrounds and motivations, ranging from theological beliefs to personal convictions and environmental influences. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a field-based approach. It combines normative Islamic theological perspectives with sociological analysis, using data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that students perceive the niqab not merely as a religious obligation to cover one's aurat (parts of the body that should be concealed), but also as a symbol of piety, honor, obedience, and personal ijtihad (independent reasoning) in practicing Islamic teachings. An inclusive campus environment supports these students in engaging freely in both academic and social activities. However, challenges still arise, particularly in the form of stereotypes and perceptions of exclusivity that some individuals associate with niqab wearers. These misconceptions underscore the importance of cross-perspective understanding in addressing this phenomenon. This study is expected to contribute to the development of campus policies that support freedom of expression, uphold mutual respect, and promote a more inclusive, open, and tolerant atmosphere within Islamic higher education institutions—one that embraces the diversity of religious practices and encourages respectful coexistence.
