In this research we design and build a portable gas leak detection system for household gas distributors. The performance of the designed system is described and evaluated. The system aims to speed up the time in detecting gas leaks. System portability allows implementation and monitoring in the form of a website. System design and performance are assessed and proven effective in detecting gas leaks, providing a reliable and efficient solution for gas distributors. The method used is the conditional method where the gas leak detection system is made with Nodemcu esp8266, sensor mq6, buzzer, step-down lm2596, and led. The results obtained from testing the leak detection system explain the testing and evaluation of the gas cylinder inspection system. The system is designed to check 3kg gas cylinders, category level 1 with numbers 300-500, category level 2 with numbers 500-750, category level 3 with numbers 750-1000, and category level 4 with numbers higher than 1000. Detection of gas leaks in each valve takes about 13 seconds to detect leaking gas, send data to the website and provide output to the buzzer.

This study aims to analyze the application of Material Flow Cost Accounting (MFCA) as a diagnostic tool and develop methodologies with lean tools that can be validated through their application to case studies in industrial companies. In an effort to become more competitive, the component manufacturing industry needs to find simple and effective solutions that increase productivity while reducing costs. Faced with this reality, companies need to find the right solutions to reduce environmental impact and remain focused on cost control. This study contributes a methodology for integrating MFCA with lean tools in the field of environmental management accounting. This integration enables a comprehensive analysis of the environmental and economic impacts of production, helps companies identify improvement opportunities, and encourages managers to systems of continuous improvement. The study used a review of complementary literature, the development of methods of integrating MFCA and Lean tools. Furthermore, validation is carried out through the application of case studies in industrial companies, which allows the collection of data needed to perform MFCA analysis and calculation models. The integration of MFCA with lean tools provides a comprehensive analysis of the environmental and economic impact of production. The methodology is validated through industry case studies, demonstrating practical applicability and potential benefits. The study also revealed that MFCA analysis has limitations, but when combined with detailed process observations, it can identify inefficiencies that were not detected before. Overall, this methodology enables a shift towards environmentally friendly and low-waste production, and acts as a cycle of continuous improvement to bring production processes closer to ideal optimal levels. The findings suggest that MFCA with lean tools can provide a more comprehensive analysis of the environmental and economic impact of production processes, enabling a shift in production systems towards environmental friendliness and making component waste low. The study provides valuable insights and guidance for companies looking to improve their environmental and economic performance through the integration of MFCA and Lean tools.

Welding is an important thing in shipbuilding. There are several types of joints and types of materials with different material thicknesses, on of which is Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW). FCAW is a welding process that has a high level of productivity so that it is suitable for fabrication activities. Double-sided welding is often performed on joints. This causes time inefficiencies and costs quite a lot. Therefore, the solution so that welding is only done on one side, by using a backing ceramic. The Backing Ceramic is used to hold the welding penetration better and get better welding result. The purpose of this study was to determine the result of the strength of Backing Ceramic Weld on FCAW welding of A36 carbon steel material so that it can get perfect results, not defective and can be accepted according to the desired criteria.

Malahayu Reservoir is located in Malahayu Village, Banjarharjo District, Brebes Regency. Malahayu Reservoir was built in 1935. Malahayu Reservoir is planned to have a water storage capacity of 69 million m³ with a water surface area of 9.25 km². The main purpose of the construction of this reservoir is to supply irrigation water with a total area of 12,674 Ha, consisting of DI Kabuyutan of 4,166 Ha, DI Jengkelok of 6,173 Ha, and DI Babakan of 2,335 Ha. However, the water supply in Malahayu Reservoir continues to decrease, allegedly due to the high amount of sediment. The current problem is the occurrence of sediment in the Malahayu Reservoir. The pattern of operation using this reservoir needs to be studied because it is considered less optimal and because there needs to be a review of the use of reservoir water using newer data. That way, an operating pattern is needed to determine the reliability of reservoirs in their use as irrigation water providers. This study began by analyzing the secondary data obtained. Data is processed to obtain the amount of reservoir discharge and water needs for irrigation water. And the study ended with a simulation of the reservoir operation pattern. From the results of this study, it is expected to help provide solutions for the operation pattern of Malahayu Reservoir as an optimal reservoir. To improve the performance of the Malahayu Reservoir, supporting data such as reservoir operational systems and performance, hydrological data, reservoir operating procedures and patterns, and irrigation data are needed. The results of the analysis showed that the operation of the Malahayu Reservoir was less than optimal. Simulation of reservoir operation shows that the volume of water in Malahayu Reservoir is below the Minimum Operating Level (MOL), which is the minimum volume of water that should be in the reservoir. According to the records of the Cimanuk-Cisanggarung River Basin Center (BBWS), the condition of water supply in the Malahayu Reservoir continues to decline since this reservoir was built during the Dutch colonial rule until now.
