Ethics and integrity play a crucial role in creating an academic environment free from corrupt practices. As a center of learning, the campus should serve as a model for its students in upholding high moral and ethical standards. This article aims to highlight the importance of ethics and integrity as fundamental pillars in efforts to prevent corruption within the academic setting, such as on campus. Through a qualitative approach, data were collected from interviews with two campus workers—a canteen staff member and a parking attendant—who frequently interact indirectly with students and staff. The canteen staff emphasized the importance of transparency in setting food prices to maintain students' trust, while the parking attendant stressed the need for discipline and order in managing the parking system to prevent irregularities. This article also examines how simple ethical behaviors, such as honesty in transactions and adherence to rules, can have a substantial impact on creating an integrity-driven campus environment. Therefore, the implementation of ethics and integrity is not solely the responsibility of academics but also of every element of the campus community without exception. In conclusion, strengthening the culture of ethics and integrity across all aspects of campus life is an essential part of a sustainable strategy to prevent corruption.

This study aims to understand the process of social ethics formation among children in Talian Kereng Village in response to the influence of modernization and technological advancements. The research was conducted through a Community Service Program (KKN) that involved in-depth interviews and direct observations of the social lives of children in the village. The findings reveal that the role of family, community leaders, and religious institutions is crucial in instilling social ethical values in children from an early age. In this village, community leaders and religious figures are still highly respected and seen as role models in preserving traditional values. However, significant challenges arise from technological advancements, particularly the use of social media, which influences the perspectives and behavior of children. Many children are becoming influenced by social media content that does not always align with local norms. Additionally, the lack of parental involvement in upbringing, either due to their busy schedules or limited knowledge of parenting in the digital era, exacerbates this situation. Economic disparities also contribute to differences in children's access to technology, ultimately affecting the extent of their exposure to these influences. This study recommends a comprehensive approach that combines formal education, family roles, and community control over the impact of technology. Furthermore, the reinforcement of religious values and local traditions must be strengthened to address the challenges of modernization. In this way, positive social ethics can continue to be preserved and instilled in the younger generation of Talian Kereng Village

Abortion is a controversial issue that involves debates across various sectors, including legal, religious, ethical, and health aspects. Defined as the termination of pregnancy before the fetus can survive outside the womb, abortion in Indonesia is regulated by Health Law No. 36 of 2009, Article 75, which allows the procedure only in cases of medical emergencies and pregnancies resulting from rape. Despite these regulations, illegal abortions still occur frequently, driven by unwanted pregnancies, economic issues, and social stigma. This paper will discuss various aspects, including the causes of abortion, health impacts, types of abortion in special cases, and the Christian ethical perspective. The research method employed is literature review. The findings indicate that abortion can occur due to various factors such as fear, health issues, socio-economic conditions, and misunderstandings about its consequences. Illegal abortions pose serious risks to women's physical and mental health, including infections, bleeding, emotional trauma, and even death. Medically, abortion may be performed to protect the mother’s life in high-risk pregnancies, such as in cases of uterine cancer or rape. However, from the Christian ethical perspective, abortion is viewed as contrary to God's will, as the fetus is considered a living being that must be protected from conception.

The legal profession in Indonesia carries significant responsibility in upholding justice, particularly through adherence to the Indonesian Advocates Code of Ethics (KEAI). However, violations of this code, such as bribery involving lawyers, often undermine the integrity of the judicial system. This study examines how ethical breaches, particularly in bribery cases, occur and their impact on the legal profession and public trust in the judiciary. Using a normative juridical method, the study focuses on analyzing legal norms that regulate lawyers' conduct, including relevant legislation. Cases such as those involving lawyers Lucas and Fredrich Yunadi highlight how these violations influence court decisions and undermine the principles of justice. The findings reveal that factors such as client pressure and weak oversight from professional organizations contribute to bribery violations. This practice not only damages public trust in the legal profession but also threatens the integrity of the judicial system, which is expected to operate fairly and transparently. Therefore, comprehensive efforts are required to prevent ethical violations, including strengthening oversight, enforcing strict sanctions, and enhancing ethics education for future lawyers.
