Sexual behavior among adolescents is a reproductive health issue that can lead to various consequences, such as unplanned pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and the risk of dropping out of school. Technological developments and easy access to digital media also influence how adolescents obtain information and shape their attitudes and behaviors. Therefore, innovative, engaging educational media that align with the characteristics of younger generations are needed; one example is the use of animated videos. This community service activity aims to increase students' knowledge about sexual behavior through animated videos. The activity was held on May 6, 2024, at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta, with 51 students in attendance. The methods used included interactive lectures, screenings of 3-minute 4-second animated videos, discussion sessions, and evaluations through pre- and post-tests. The evaluation results showed an increase in students' knowledge with an average score of 2.84 points. Thus, animated videos have proven effective in increasing adolescents' knowledge about sexual behavior and have the potential to be an engaging and educational health promotion medium.

Zakat is a key instrument in the Islamic economic system, functioning as a mechanism for income redistribution and poverty alleviation. However, zakat management at the level of mosque-based Zakat Collection Units (Unit Pengumpul Zakat/UPZ) still faces significant challenges, particularly in terms of managerial capacity, administrative systems, and institutional governance. This community service project aims to optimize the collection and distribution of zakat through capacity building of the UPZ management at Al-Hidayah Mosque, Mandailing Natal. The study employed a participatory approach consisting of observation, joint planning, socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation stages. Data were collected using observation, interviews, and structured questionnaires administered through pre-test and post-test to measure participants’ knowledge improvement. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive comparative method to assess changes before and after the intervention. The results indicate a significant improvement in the managerial capacity of UPZ administrators, as reflected by an increase in the average score from 55% in the pre-test to 80% in the post-test. In addition, improvements were observed in zakat management practices, including the establishment of simple financial recording systems, the development of a structured database of donors (muzakki) and beneficiaries (mustahik), and enhanced transparency and accountability. Qualitatively, the program also fostered behavioral change among administrators, the emergence of local leadership, and increased public trust in the UPZ. This study concludes that participatory-based socialization, training, and mentoring are effective in strengthening institutional capacity and optimizing zakat management at the grassroots level. The findings highlight the importance of governance and capacity building in enhancing the effectiveness of community-based zakat institutions.

Anemia during pregnancy remains a major public health concern with significant implications for maternal and fetal health. One contributing factor to its high prevalence is the limited knowledge among pregnant women regarding early detection. Health education serves as a crucial promotive-preventive strategy to enhance awareness of anemia’s signs, symptoms, and risks. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of health education in improving knowledge of early detection of anemia among pregnant women in the Galala Community Health Center working area. A pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design with a quantitative approach was employed. The sample consisted of 30 pregnant women selected using total sampling. Respondents received structured health education on early detection of anemia, and their knowledge levels were assessed before and after the intervention using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods, with the Wilcoxon signed-rank test applied due to non-normal distribution. Results indicated a significant improvement in knowledge after education (p = 0.000), with most respondents shifting from poor or moderate knowledge to good knowledge. The study concludes that health education effectively increases pregnant women’s knowledge of anemia detection and should be systematically integrated into antenatal care to prevent anemia and improve maternal health outcomes.

This study aims to analyze the level of financial literacy and examine its influence on the household welfare of vegetable farmers. Agricultural households, particularly smallholder vegetable farmers, frequently experience economic vulnerability due to several structural challenges such as unstable agricultural income, seasonal production patterns, fluctuating market prices, limited access to formal financial services, and inadequate financial management skills. These conditions often make farm households more susceptible to economic shocks, including crop failure, input price increases, or sudden market price declines. In this context, financial literacy becomes an essential capability that enables farmers to manage their financial resources more effectively. This research employed a quantitative research design using a survey approach. The study involved 120 vegetable farmers selected as respondents from major vegetable-producing areas. Data were collected through structured questionnaires designed to measure farmers’ financial literacy levels and household welfare conditions. Financial literacy was assessed through indicators such as financial knowledge, financial behavior, and financial attitudes, while household welfare was evaluated based on indicators including consumption stability, education and health expenditures, savings capacity, and overall economic resilience. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to describe the characteristics and financial literacy levels of respondents, and multiple linear regression analysis to examine the relationship between financial literacy and household welfare. The results of this study highlight the importance of strengthening financial education programs targeted at agricultural communities. Improving financial literacy among vegetable farmers can contribute not only to better household financial management but also to broader rural economic development. Therefore, financial education initiatives should be integrated into agricultural extension programs, farmer group activities, and local government development strategies. Such initiatives may include training in household financial planning, simple bookkeeping for farm businesses, savings management, and responsible credit use. By enhancing farmers’ financial capabilities, these programs can help improve household welfare, strengthen rural economic resilience, and support the long-term sustainability of the agricultural sector.

Christian Religious Education (PAK) plays a crucial role in helping students develop faith based on the truth of God's Word. Therefore, a theological foundation plays a crucial role in the implementation of PAK, ensuring that educational activities are not only focused on knowledge transfer but also directed toward holistically shaping character and strengthening students' faith. This article aims to examine the theological foundation of Christian Religious Education in the process of developing students' faith based on Christian teachings. The method used in this study is literature analysis, examining various theological sources, the Bible, and writings related to Christian education. The findings of this study indicate that the theological foundation of PAK stems from God's calling as a true educator, the example of Jesus Christ as the Primary Teacher, and the role of the Holy Spirit in fostering and maintaining faith. Christian Religious Education based on strong theology can help students experience true growth in faith, internalize Christian values, and implement them in their daily lives.

This study evaluates the implementation and contribution of the Sekolah Peternakan Rakyat (SPR) Program to Brahman Cross cattle farming in Bojonegoro Regency. A mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design was applied, involving surveys, in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis of 20 SPR farmers. The results show that the program effectively improved farmers’ knowledge and technical competencies (knowledge scores ranging from 4.35–5.00). However, business expansion aspiration remained very low 1.15, indicating structural constraints beyond individual capacity enhancement. Technical performance of Brahman Cross cattle was fluctuating, particularly in reproductive indicators, and institutional capacity within the farmer group remained limited in managerial coordination and collective decision-making. These findings demonstrate that improvements in individual capacity do not automatically translate into sustainable business performance. Institutional strengthening and alignment between program design and smallholder conditions are essential to ensure long-term program effectiveness.

The consumption of snacks among school-aged children has become a serious concern in public health due to the widespread use of hazardous food additives such as formalin, borax, Rhodamine B, and excessive artificial sweeteners. These substances are commonly found in food sold around schools and have the potential to cause metabolic disorders, organ damage, and an increased risk of non-communicable diseases. The low level of knowledge among students, teachers, and canteen managers regarding food safety and balanced nutrition exacerbates this condition. This community service activity aims to increase students' knowledge about healthy snacks and encourage early detection through simple health checks. This program was conducted at SMP/SMA Al-Husna Kemiling, Bandar Lampung, involving 20 students, 4 teachers, and 1 canteen manager. The results of the activity show an increase in knowledge among 95% of participants after the education, based on the posttest results. This study discusses the importance of family-focused Christian theology in building children's character in the digital era through the Christian Religious Education (PAK) approach. The transformation of information and communication technology has brought major changes, including in the fields of education and character formation. The digital era provides opportunities to increase knowledge and access to learning, but also raises challenges in the form of weakening moral values, integrity, and relationships within the family. The family as a divine institution has a primary role in teaching Christian values through role models, communication, and direct experience. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, which reviews literature and observations of Christian education practices both in families and schools. The results show that families have an important role in developing children's faith and character, while PAK serves as a link between faith education at home and formal education at school. PAK is considered relevant because it can unite students' cognitive, affective, and conative aspects in facing the influence of digital culture. Overall, family-based Christian theology supported by PAK has great relevance in shaping a young generation with integrity, critical thinking, and character. This approach not only instills knowledge of faith but also prepares students to become responsible and wise leaders in utilizing technology in accordance with Christian values.
