This research aims to describe and evaluate the accompaniment in the implementation of donations to orphans during the 10th Muharram commemoration in Kelurahan Kumai Hilir, which is an annual tradition with significant social and religious values. The main focus of this study is the effectiveness of the implementation, where there are shortcomings in planning, committee coordination, and the distribution of donations, which are often uneven and not well-targeted. To understand these dynamics, this study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation methods, involving various parties such as the organizing committee, community leaders, and orphans as beneficiaries. The data obtained shows that the accompaniment provided during the donation process successfully improved various important aspects, including active participation of the local community in the event, improvements in the coordination system among the previously unstructured committee, and ensuring that donation distribution became more targeted and fair. In addition to material benefits, the orphans who received donations felt better emotional support, with more attention from the community that was more directly involved in the donation process. This activity also played a role in strengthening social solidarity among residents, making the 10th Muharram commemoration not only a moment for giving donations but also an opportunity to build stronger social ties between the community and the beneficiaries. With this accompaniment, it is hoped that the donation tradition in Kelurahan Kumai Hilir can continue to develop in a more organized manner and have a more significant impact on the well-being of orphans as well as the social life of the community as a whole.

This research examines the manifestation of humanistic values in six selected short stories from Kompas in 2021-2022 as an alternative literary teaching material. The phenomenon of declining understanding of humanitarian values among students and the importance of instilling these values through literary works serve as the background for this study. The goal is to identify and analyze the representation of humanism in contemporary Indonesian literature. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. The analysis results show that the six short stories studied are rich in humanistic values such as openness, responsibility, solidarity, justice, self-sacrifice, care, and mutual assistance. The structure of a short story, including characters and setting, plays an important role in conveying those values. "The Holy Family" depicts openness, "The Three-Colored Bahar Roots" emphasizes sacrifice, "This City is a Well" explores solidarity, "About the Name of Majid Pucuk" showcases the struggle for justice, "The House that Always Smells Bad" illustrates mutual aid, and "The Fading Spark in His Eyes" highlights family care. This finding has implications for the development of more contextual literature teaching materials, encouraging a deeper understanding of humanism among students.

This study examines women's political communication in Maluku, focusing on the opportunities, challenges, and socio-cultural dynamics they face. In a region strongly influenced by patriarchal culture, women's roles in politics are often constrained by traditional social views and resistance to their involvement in a male-dominated political arena. The complexity of this issue is heightened by the perception that politics is a harsh and competitive domain. The aim of this research is to understand the communication strategies used by female politicians in Maluku and to identify the factors that influence their success or failure in the political field. This study employs a qualitative method, gathering data through in-depth interviews with female politicians, activists, and political observers in Maluku. The findings reveal that despite significant challenges, female politicians are able to leverage local values such as community solidarity and the adat-based social system to strengthen their political positions. Additionally, social networks and support from women's groups and political organizations play crucial roles in their political communication strategies. Women's roles in Maluku politics are not limited to verbal and non-verbal communication but also include their ability to integrate local values and utilize their central societal roles to promote political agendas. These findings provide a significant contribution to the study of women's political communication, particularly in contexts that have been underexplored in both national and international literature. The research concludes that women's political communication in Maluku is a complex adaptation to the local socio-cultural context.

Love is the main principle in Christianity taught by Jesus and emphasized by the Apostle Paul as the fulfillment of the Law. In the context of Batak society, the Dalihan Na Tolu social system regulates social relations based on the principles of honor, solidarity, and responsibility. This research aims to analyze how the law of love in Paul's theology can be integrated with the principles of Dalihan Na Tolu to build contextual Christian ethics in Batak land without losing the essence of the gospel. This research uses a qualitative method with a theological and ethnographic study approach. Literature studies were conducted on biblical texts, Pauline theological sources, and references to Batak culture. Hermeneutic analysis was used to understand the concept of the law of love in Paul's theology, while a study of Dalihan Na Tolu was conducted to identify its relevance to Christian ethics. The results show that there are similar values between the law of love in Paul's theology and the principles of Dalihan Na Tolu, especially in terms of love, respect and solidarity. However, some aspects of Dalihan Na Tolu need to be criticized, especially in terms of social hierarchy that can lead to injustice. Therefore, cultural transformation is needed so that the principle of love taught in the Bible can become the basis of Christian ethics that are relevant to Batak society. This research contributes to the development of contextual theology and provides insight for the church and Batak community in applying the law of love in social and traditional life.

Social change in sports reflects the transformation occurring in the structure, values, and dynamics of society through sports activities. Sports, as a social phenomenon, not only serve as a means of recreation and competition but also as an important instrument in influencing social aspects such as integration, gender equality, social mobility, and solidarity. Social changes brought about by sports manifest in various forms, including shifts in norms and values that promote inclusivity, diversity, and broader participation. Issues such as human rights, anti-discrimination, and gender equality are increasingly gaining attention in the modern sports world. Additionally, technological advancements and globalization have accelerated changes in the way sports are practiced and consumed by society. This leads to new opportunities, such as increased access to sports across different social strata, but also presents new challenges, including commercialization and inequality in access to quality sports facilities. Thus, sports become both a reflection and a catalyst for broader social change dynamics within global society.
