This study examines the relationship between cultural heritage and syntactic evolution in multilingual societies, focusing on cross-generational language transmission. Employing a mixed-methods approach, it analyzes linguistic practices, cultural narratives, and syntactic patterns across three generational cohorts in five distinct multilingual communities. Findings reveal significant generational shifts, with elders preserving traditional syntax linked to cultural rituals, while younger cohorts exhibit syntactic simplifications and hybrid constructions influenced by dominant languages. Statistical analyses underscore the role of cultural practices in shaping linguistic patterns, highlighting the dynamic interplay between heritage preservation and linguistic innovation in contexts of societal bilingualism and intercultural interaction. The research demonstrates that syntactic changes correlate strongly with the frequency and depth of cultural engagement, with participants who actively participate in traditional practices showing greater retention of heritage language syntactic features. Furthermore, we identify specific linguistic mechanisms through which cultural transmission influences syntactic maintenance and innovation, including ritualized speech patterns, narrative structures, and metaphorical expressions embedded in cultural practices. This study contributes to theoretical understandings of language change by proposing a cultural-syntactic framework that helps explain the variable trajectories of heritage languages in diverse multilingual contexts.

Many students face difficulties and lack confidence when it comes to English pronunciation, often doubting whether their pronunciation is correct. One significant challenge they face is the difference in dialect and pronunciation between their native language and the target language. In Indonesia, a Muslim-majority country, many students are familiar with Arabic, particularly in pesantren-based schools. Arabic and English share certain phonetic features, especially in the fricative consonant sounds, which could help Indonesian students learn English pronunciation more easily. This study explores how learning Arabic might aid in improving English pronunciation, specifically focusing on fricative sounds. Using a mixed-methods approach that combines both quantitative and qualitative data, this research applies a pre-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test design. The study involved fifteen junior high school students in grade VIII from an Islamic character school. The primary goal of the research was to assess how the students’ English pronunciation, particularly on fricative sounds, improved after learning Arabic. The results show a significant improvement in the pronunciation of /f/, /ʃ/, /s/, /z/, and /ʒ/ sounds. However, the students showed less improvement in the pronunciation of /ð/ and /θ/ sounds. This suggests that while Arabic may offer some advantages in mastering specific English sounds, there may be challenges that still hinder the improvement of other English consonants. These findings could provide insights into language learning strategies and the potential role of Arabic in enhancing English pronunciation.

The use of probiotics is very important in cultivation activities. Probiotics are live microorganisms that have a beneficial effect on the host by balancing the microflora in their intestines. In increasing the nutritional content of artificial feed (pellets), the bacteria in probiotics have a mechanism for forming several enzymes for digesting feed. This study aims to determine the effect of giving delacto probiotics at different doses in artificial feed on the absolute weight growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Probiotics are mixed with feed using a biofloc cultivation system. The method used in this research was an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications, namely by adding different doses to the treatments. Treatments A (8ml/kg), B (16 ml/kg), C (24 ml/kg) and D (32 ml/kg). The parameter observed was absolute weight growth. Water quality supporting parameters include temperature, pH and DO. Data were analyzed using the ANOVA test. Based on the research results, it shows that giving different doses of delacto probiotics has a significant effect on the absolute weight growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Treatment A (8 ml/kg) gave the lowest absolute weight growth of 32.83 grams and treatment D (32 ml/kg) gave the highest absolute weight growth of 40.57 grams. Water quality parameters include water temperature ranging from 25.3 – 26.1֯C, acidity ranging from 7.5 – 8.0. And dissolved oxygen ranges from 4.7 – 5.3 ppm. Bandung Regency, which is experiencing overcapacity in landfills, has implemented a waste management solution involving the separation of organic and inorganic waste. Inorganic waste, which is notoriously difficult to decompose, has prompted the Bandung Regency government to adopt a community-focused approach to waste management, establishing waste banks in school-age communities. However, the project has encountered challenges, as evidenced by the fact that some schools have implemented waste banks but have not been actively engaged in their operations. This has led to the project's suboptimal implementation in Bandung Regency schools. The objective of this study is to identify the challenges associated with the inactivity of waste banks in Bandung Regency schools, as perceived by students and administrators. The study utilises the triple drivers of ecopreneurship, focusing on the economic, social, and environmental benefits of school waste banks. This research employs a mixed methods approach, utilising both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. The quantitative approach involves the administration of surveys to students, followed by data processing using descriptive statistics. The qualitative method involves conducting interviews with administrators, and the data is processed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings of the research indicate that the implementation of a waste bank for the management of inorganic waste in a school environment is positively received by the school, despite the presence of obstacles related to waste collection sites, socialisation among students, and differences between administrators and students regarding the most significant focus or choice for implementing waste banks in schools. It is anticipated that the research results will contribute to the understanding of inorganic waste management in waste banks that are less active in the school environment. The study thus recommends further research in schools that are routine or active in waste bank implementation activities, with a view to describing overall information about the implementation of school waste banks, especially in schools in Bandung Regency with school waste bank projects.
