Gorontalo Province is an area with a high level of disaster vulnerability, both from hydrometeorological disasters such as floods and landslides, as well as geological disasters such as earthquakes. This condition requires an integrated, modern, and sustainable disaster training facility. Unfortunately, until now Gorontalo does not have a representative disaster management education and training center to support community preparedness. This research aims to design a Disaster Management Education and Training Center that not only functions as an education and simulation place, but also integrates green architecture principles to create an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient learning environment. The method used is qualitative descriptive with primary data collection through observation, interviews with stakeholders, and field documentation. Secondary data were obtained from literature studies, disaster architectural precedents, and spatial planning regulatory studies. The design site was chosen in Limboto District with considerations of accessibility, development potential, and geographical conditions. Analysis is carried out on spatial, functional, and climatological aspects to produce an optimal zoning concept and the orientation of building masses according to the tropical climate. The design results show that an area of 19,371 m² can accommodate all space needs with the utilization of KDB of 25.4%. The application of green architecture is realized through the use of environmentally friendly local materials, natural lighting, cross ventilation, solar panels, and rainwater management systems. The simulation facilities for floods, landslides, earthquakes, and fires are designed based on experiential learning so that participants can experience disaster scenarios firsthand. This design is expected to be a model of sustainable tropical disaster architecture, replicate in other disaster-prone areas, and encourage the creation of a disaster-aware culture. This research also opens up further research opportunities related to energy performance evaluation and the application of digital technology in disaster education.

The design of Lecturer Housing for Campus 4 Gorontalo State University is a strategic necessity in line with the expansion of educational institutions and the increasing number of educators requiring adequate and proximate housing. The primary objective of this research is to produce a lecturer housing design that is not only adaptive and sustainable, but also harmonized with the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) of Bone Bolango Regency. The research methodology encompasses a comprehensive site analysis, examining aspects such as climate conditions, topography, vegetation patterns, infrastructure and utility networks, ambient noise levels, and site accessibility. Furthermore, a zoning and spatial relationship study was conducted to determine effective space allocation based on the principles of tropical architecture and green building practices. The findings of the study highlight that a north-south building orientation significantly reduces heat absorption, while the integration of cross-ventilation strategies enhances natural airflow and thermal comfort. Spatial zoning into public, semi-public, private, and service areas allows for organized layouts and promotes social interaction among residents. Sustainability is reinforced through the application of green architectural technologies, including the use of green concrete, lightweight steel frameworks, solar energy panels, as well as integrated waste-water management systems that separate black water and grey water. Landscaping elements, both softscape and hardscape, are utilized to enhance aesthetics while supporting ecological balance and rainwater absorption. This design proposal contributes to the broader discourse of sustainable tropical housing and may serve as a replicable model for future lecturer housing projects in similar regional contexts. It emphasizes the importance of environmentally responsive, cost-efficient, and socially supportive residential architecture.

This study investigates the potential role of the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) as a hedging instrument and safe haven asset against the Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) during the period from January 2020 to April 2025, a time characterized by elevated market volatility. The main objective is to determine whether sharia-compliant stocks in Indonesia offer diversification benefits during periods of financial stress. Utilizing daily closing prices converted into log returns, the study employs the Asymmetric Dynamic Conditional Correlation Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (A-DCC GARCH) model to capture time-varying correlations between JII and IHSG. Prior to applying the model, standard diagnostic tests were performed to ensure data quality, including tests for stationarity, autocorrelation, and ARCH effects.Empirical results reveal a persistently high correlation between IHSG and JII, with an average of 0.826 and values exceeding 0.95 during periods of market turbulence. These findings indicate that JII does not fulfill the characteristics of a hedge or safe haven asset. A robustness analysis using extended data from 2010 to mid-2025 further supports the conclusion, showing the continued presence of strong comovement between the two indices across different market regimes. This suggests a structural relationship rather than one driven solely by crisis events. The high correlation may be attributed to overlapping index constituents and similar investor responses to market shocks. These results challenge the prevailing notion that Islamic indices inherently offer protection during downturns. As such, investors seeking to mitigate portfolio risk may need to look beyond domestic sharia equities and consider broader asset classes or international diversification. Future research is encouraged to explore cross-market and multi-asset safe haven properties, especially in the context of emerging economies.

The digital media era is marked by a major shift in how information is accessed, produced, and disseminated. The internet and electronic devices such as smartphones enable anyone to become an information producer through social media, blogs, and other digital platforms. Media is no longer dominated by large institutions but also by ordinary individuals, creating a more democratic communication space. Digital communication enables the two-way exchange of messages in the form of text, images, audio, and video, accelerating the dissemination of information and strengthening collaboration across distances. However, challenges such as the spread of hoaxes and the ethical use of digital media still require attention. One form of active community participation is citizen journalism, where individuals cover and share local issues through digital media. This was evident in the OMK Week activities at Liwulagang Parish, which were documented by the OMK team through photos and videos. This documentation aims to preserve archives, serve as material for reflection, and expand publications to the congregation through social media, especially Facebook. The content shared emphasizes the spirituality, solidarity, and creativity of OMK, while also motivating the younger generation to become active in church life. To support citizens' ability to utilize digital media appropriately, journalism training was conducted to increase public understanding of the wise use of social media. The research methods used in this activity included data collection, outreach, and interviews, with results demonstrating the importance of open communication, feedback between presenters and participants, and active community participation.

Southeast Asia has long held a strategic position in global maritime trade since the pre-Islamic era. Through interactions with Arab, Persian, and Indian merchants, Islam was introduced to the region not through military conquest, but via peaceful and cultural means, particularly through trade and Sufi missionary activities. The Islamization process unfolded gradually, beginning in major port cities such as Samudera Pasai, Malacca, and Gresik, with significant support from local elites. This study employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach using library research methods, drawing from historical records, Malay Islamic manuscripts, and recent academic studies. The findings reveal that Islamic civilization in Southeast Asia manifested in the form of Islamic sultanates, traditional Islamic educational institutions (pesantren and pondok), and rich cultural expressions such as arts, literature, and architecture shaped by local aesthetics. This acculturation process gave rise to a moderate, inclusive, and adaptive form of Islam. In the modern era, Islam in this region continues to evolve in response to global challenges through institutional innovation and the contextualization of Islamic values. Therefore, Islam in Southeast Asia is not merely a religious system, but a civilizational force that shapes a distinctive and sustainable regional identity.

The entry of Islam into the archipelago is a historical process that takes place peacefully and culturally. The role of scholars is the main key in disseminating Islamic teachings through trade, educational, and socio-cultural approaches. Not only preaching, the scholars also mingle with the local community through marriage and the establishment of educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools. A persuasive and accommodating da'wah strategy for local culture is the main factor in the success of Islamization in various regions. In addition to religious aspects, Islam also has influence in the field of politics and government, both in the application of sharia values, morals, and the formation of Islamic political organizations. Through the study of literature and historical sources, this study shows that the process of spreading Islam in the archipelago is not forceful, but through the harmonious integration of values and culture.

Medan City is the 3rd largest metropolitan city in Indonesia with 70% of Medan's people being of productive age. This shows that the city of Medan has the potential to develop in the creative industry, but the lack of a platform to support the growth of creative ideas hinders this potential. A container is needed that meets the aspects of comfort, openness and accessibility. Based on the existing problems, a view emerged to design the "Medan Art Creative Center" with the theme approach that will be used to design this facility, namely Neo- Vernacular Architecture. Neo-Vernacular architecture is an architectural concept that incorporates elements of surrounding culture into buildings by applying patterns or motifs typical of the place itself. Apart from that, the use of a neo- vernacular theme is also in line with the building's function, namely as an arts and cultural facility, where the aim of this project is to introduce the surrounding culture to local people and tourists from outside the area.

Indonesia is an archipelago rich in aquatic resources that include various types of fish resources and coral reef ecosystems. However, the sustainability of these resources is increasingly threatened by the irresponsible actions of some parties, one of which is the act of Illegal Fishing. Illegal fishing is very detrimental to the country, not only damaging vulnerable fish populations, but also causing economic losses and even social impacts on society. The case of Run Zeng 03 is one of the illegal fishing cases in Indonesia, which has been fishing illegally in Indonesia's Exclusive Economic Zone since January 12, 2024. The Russian-flagged foreign vessel was arrested on May 19, 2024 in the Arafura Sea. The principle of Common But Differentiated Responsibilities (CBDR) can be applied in handling cross-border illegal fishing. The Run Zeng 03 ship itself has caused great losses to the countries in its area of operation. Whereas, the CBDR Principle emphasizes cooperation between countries to integrate in achieving common goals, despite having different responsibilities. In addition to establishing international coordination and cooperation, Indonesia itself must improve internal supervision and protection in handling these illegal fishing cases.
