Tempe is an inherent food source for Indonesians, with a large number of tempe consumers in the local community. This community service program aims to improve students' understanding and skills in processing cempedak seeds into tempe, including drying methods that allow long-term storage. This activity was carried out from July to November 2024.  This activity was carried out in several stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the completion stage.  The program on the utilization of cempedak seeds in tempeh production shows promising potential as a food innovation based on local resources. The success rate of this program is not only measured from the production aspect, but also from the transfer of knowledge to students who act as agents of change in alternative food development. Some of the advantages of this activity program are that it provides an alternative utilization of cempedak seed waste into products with nutritional value. In addition, the production cost is relatively affordable compared to the use of soybean. The disadvantage of this program is that the availability of raw materials depends on the cempedak harvest season.

Urban farming is a modern form of adaptation that is responsive to food security challenges, especially in areas with limited space such as Banten Province. This study aims to examine the dynamics of food security in the agrarian region of Banten and offer innovative solutions through urban farming practices. The global food crisis, the shrinking of agricultural land due to development and land conversion, and the decreasing public interest in farming are crucial issues that threaten local food security. In Banten, land conversion has resulted in the loss of more than 9,869.61 hectares of productive rice fields, which has a direct impact on local production capacity and increased dependence on external supplies. As a solution, this study advocates urban farming innovations such as hydroponics, vertical farming, and the utilization of idle land and home gardens. This approach not only utilizes limited land efficiently but also aligns with the principles of wise food planning as exemplified in the story of the Prophet Joseph. Qualitative methods with literature studies and content analysis were used to gather in-depth information. To create sustainable food security, this study identified three main strategies: digitalization of agricultural spatial planning using geographic information systems (GIS) to prevent illegal land conversion; Integrating circular agriculture and urban farming to manage organic waste; and engaging the younger generation as drivers of innovation through technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and digital marketing. These efforts are expected to create high-quality and sustainable food security in Banten Province by combining social intelligence, technology, and environmental sustainability.

Red tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is a freshwater fish known for its high tolerance to environmental conditions, low water quality, and ability to adapt well to various situations. Data from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries shows that tilapia production in Indonesia has increased significantly, from 1,172,633.38 kg in 2020 to 1,300,529.23 kilograms in 2021, with a percentage increase of 10.90%. The community strongly influences the local economy and food security. Tilapia farming is widely chosen because it has a stable selling price and fast growth. Many farmers have chosen Tilapia farming as their primary source of livelihood. This research aimed to study the socio-economic conditions, difficulties, and development opportunities of tilapia farming in the community. The results show that although this business contributes significantly to family income, there are several constraints, such as fluctuating market prices, limited access to technology, and low aquaculture skills. In addition, the success of aquaculture is also affected by environmental conditions and resource availability. Therefore, a development plan that includes training, access to capital, and improved infrastructure is needed to improve yields and the welfare of the tilapia farming community.

Traditional markets are central to community economic activities and play a significant role in the distribution of local food products. Therefore, markets reflect the diversity of food crop commodities available in a region. This diversity holds vital importance in supporting human health balance. The more diverse the plant species available in a region, the greater the variety of nutrients that can be obtained, such as minerals, vitamins, fiber, and other essential nutrients. Furthermore, the diversity of food crops is also valuable from cultural and environmental conservation perspectives. This study aims to identify and document the diversity of food crops traded in Grogol Market and Telukan Market, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observations and semi-structured interviews using an ethnobotanical with 55 respondents who are traders in both markets. The data were then classified based on family, edible plant parts, and commodity categories. The study's findings revealed that 124 species or varieties of plants from 39 families are traded in Grogol Market and Telukan Market. The Zingiberaceae family has the highest number of species found in both markets. Vegetables are the largest commodity group traded, followed by fruits, spices, and staple foods. The parts of plants traded include fruits, leaves, tubers, seeds, rhizomes, stems, and flowers. Based on the results, the diversity of food crops traded in Grogol Market and Telukan Market is relatively high, reflecting local potential that supports community health, cultural heritage, and environmental sustainability.

Local food-based Entrepreneurship Training will be one of the important things for the community in utilizing products. However, there are several major problems in the Production sector such as the continuity of local food products not being available at all times because the community does not utilize raw products to be processed into new products that have added value. In addition, there are problems in the managerial and marketing fields. The problems in the managerial field are lack of planning, organization, lack of organization, lack of directors in the division of work in groups and lack of supervision. In the marketing field, there are still problems in promoting and selling products where in addition the products have not been accepted by the Community. The method of implementing Community Service activities from the UNIMOR Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) provides solutions in answering the problems that exist in the Kasih Setia Women Farmers group. The method of implementing the activities in question is by identifying problems using the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) model. The results achieved are that Farmers gain Knowledge in the Empowerment Program through Entrepreneurship Training activities by changing Purple Sweet Potato and Yellow Pumpkin materials into pumpkin sticks and purple sweet potato sticks so that they have added value to the product. There are several suggestions that need to be considered in empowering the Kasih Setia Farmer group, namely that Farmer Empowerment activities must continue to be encouraged in other villages or in the village with an empowerment model in the form of other processed foods to increase farmers' knowledge in processing local products into new products so that the added value of the product becomes higher to penetrate the market.
