Adolescence is a transitional period marked by rapid physical, psychological, and social changes. During this time, hormonal growth occurs as a sign of puberty and the activation of reproductive organs, one of which is breast development. However, these changes can sometimes lead to breast abnormalities such as lumps, pain, or changes in shape that may indicate early signs of health problems. One of the most effective early detection efforts for breast abnormalities is Breast Self-Examination (BSE). This examination is important to be done regularly so that each individual, especially adolescent girls, can recognize the condition of their breasts early on. Unfortunately, many adolescent girls still do not know what BSE is or how to perform it correctly. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and breast self-examination (BSE) behavior among female students at SMA Negeri 1 Krueng Barona Jaya, Aceh Besar District. This research was a quantitative study using an analytic cross-sectional design. Data collection was carried out on May 27, 2025, with a population of 30 female students from grades X and XI, selected using accidental sampling techniques. Data analysis using the Chi-Square test showed that there was no relationship between knowledge level and BSE behavior, with a p-value of 0.384 (p > 0.05). It is expected that parents and schools can improve adolescent girls’ knowledge about BSE as an effort for prevention and early detection of possible breast abnormalities.

The need to strengthen literacy in Indonesian language learning requires teachers to be innovative in designing assessment instruments that are relevant to current developments. One approach that can be used is the application of multimodal texts, namely texts that combine various communication modes such as writing, images, sound, and symbols to convey meaning more comprehensively. This community service program was carried out with the aim of improving the competence of Indonesian language teachers at the junior high school level throughout Sragen Regency in developing literacy questions based on multimodal texts that align with the demands of the Independent Curriculum. The activity was carried out through two months of intensive training and mentoring, which included a theoretical understanding of the concept of multimodal texts, analysis of sample questions, and practice in developing literacy-based assessment instruments. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in teachers' understanding of the principles of multimodal texts and their ability to design questions that challenge students' critical and creative thinking skills. Through this program, teachers not only gained new knowledge but also were motivated to be more adaptive to developments in digital media and innovation in learning. Thus, this activity contributed to improving the quality of Indonesian language learning that is contextual, interactive, and meaningful for students.

Assessment and evaluation of sanitation programs that directly involve community participation are crucial for program sustainability. The Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) program in Indonesia aims to foster independent hygienic behavior. Participatory approaches such as PHAST (WHO, 1998) emphasize continuous community-led monitoring and self-evaluation as a feedback mechanism. Literature studies show that empowering citizens to evaluate healthy sanitation programs enhances both knowledge and program ownership. For instance, community engagement at SD Kalidadap (Yogyakarta) reported increased participation in waste management and sanitation facility development, as well as improved sanitation awareness and behavior after outreach activities. However, challenges such as limited funding and health resources often hinder optimal participation. This article discusses a participatory evaluation framework and community strengthening strategies, including the establishment of local indicators and the role of facilitators, to support self-assessment in sanitation initiatives. Recommendations include community training, provision of simple evaluation tools, and cross-sector collaboration to improve accountability and sustainability of sanitation programs at the community level.

Global challenges such as climate change and land degradation demand the strengthening of the agricultural sector through the adoption of relevant technologies. Agricultural extension plays an important role in conveying information and technological innovations to farmers, with extension workers as facilitators, educators, and motivators in accelerating the implementation of agricultural technology packages. However, the rate of adoption of technology by farmers is still low, especially in Tana Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi. In addition, there is no comprehensive and results-based evaluation system for extension workers. This study aims to determine the level of farmers' understanding of agricultural technology packages introduced by agricultural extension workers in Batu Papan Village, Makale District, Tana Toraja Regency. The research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with the object of the study, namely Field Agricultural Extension Workers (PPL) active in Makale District as many as seven people and 139 assisted farmers from six farmer groups. Farmer samples were taken as much as 20% of the population or 30 respondents using census and purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire with a Likert scale to assess farmers' perception and level of understanding of the implementation of agricultural technology packages. The results showed that the level of farmers' understanding of the technology package introduced by extension workers was in the "very high" category with an index value of 82.6%. These findings show that extension workers have an effective role in increasing farmers' knowledge and involvement. Despite global efforts, maternal mortality remains a critical public health challenge. A major contributing factor is the delay in recognizing and responding to obstetric emergencies. A pregnant woman's awareness of potential danger signs and her subsequent proactive attitude toward early detection are considered pivotal in facilitating timely and life-saving healthcare access. This study was undertaken to investigate the direct correlation between the level of knowledge pregnant women possess regarding pregnancy danger signs and their attitude toward the early identification of maternal emergencies. This research utilized an analytic survey design, a cross-sectional approach. The study sample was drawn using accidental sampling, comprising 110 pregnant women. Data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed statistically using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The descriptive analysis revealed a positive outcome regarding knowledge: the majority of participants (70) demonstrated a sufficient level of knowledge about pregnancy danger signs. However, this did not translate into a desired behavioral disposition, as a majority of participants (40) simultaneously displayed a poor attitude toward the early detection of maternal emergencies. The inferential statistical analysis confirmed this disconnect: the Spearman Rank test yielded a calculated ρ-value (pcount) of 0.068, which was less significant than the critical ρ-table value (ptable) of 0.364. Crucially, the significance level(p=0.72) exceeded the predetermined alpha (α=0.05).The study concludes that there is no significant relationship between a pregnant woman's knowledge of obstetric danger signs and her attitude toward seeking the early detection of maternal emergencies.

Family planning represents a community-based effort to promote awareness and participation through delaying the age of marriage, regulating births, strengthening family resilience, and improving family welfare to achieve small, joyful, and prosperous families (Suriana et al., 2021). The government targets Couples of Reproductive Age (CRA) to reduce population growth in Indonesia, as CRA consists of legally married couples who actively engage in sexual relations that may result in pregnancy. In addition to CRA, postpartum mothers also serve as a key target group in family planning programs. The “Four Too” components contribute to high-risk pregnancies that may lead to complications during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, and maternal and infant mortality. These include being too young (under 20 years), too old (over 35 years), too many children (more than four), and too close birth spacing (less than two years) (Oktarina, 2022). This study employed a quantitative research design, specifically an analytical quantitative approach with a correlational design using the cross-sectional method. The sample consisted of 40 participants. The results show that 45% of respondents had a satisfactory level of knowledge about IUD contraception, 32.5% had a moderate level, and 22.5% had a low level of knowledge. In nursing practice, increasing knowledge about contraception—particularly IUD family planning—can enhance interest in its use. Moreover, the study recommends that husbands provide support for mothers in using IUD contraception.

Clinical practice is a crucial stage in nursing education that requires students to apply theoretical knowledge in real healthcare settings. The transition to a clinical environment often triggers anxiety, as students face competency demands, professional responsibilities, and direct interactions with patients. This study aims to determine the anxiety levels of fifth-semester nursing students prior to clinical practice at Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang. A descriptive quantitative design was employed with a sample of 35 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) and analyzed descriptively with Microsoft Excel to obtain frequency and percentage distributions. The results showed that most students experienced severe anxiety (31%), followed by moderate (29%), mild (23%), no anxiety (14%), and panic-level anxiety (3%). These findings indicate that the majority of nursing students experience anxiety before clinical practice, predominantly at severe and moderate levels. Therefore, psychological support and mental preparation programs are essential to help students transition optimally into the clinical environment.
