This article aims to review and attempt to inform the concept of the role of monetary policy in the economy. The research method used is qualitative and literature studies or library research. Based on the results of the discussion above, it can be concluded in general that the role of monetary policy in the economy is to keep economic conditions growing and conductive, to create sufficient money supply so that growth can always be in harmony with the course of development which requires strong discipline among monetary authorities and also on the government side and overseeing the development of foreign currency receipts and supervising activities in the foreign sector ( exports and imports). Activities in this sector are very easy to cause inflation in the country, because the price of law materials always fluctuates. Thus, revenues from export activities always experience irregular changes.

Trade liberalization or free trade is a condition in which a country engages in trade with other nations without any barriers. The process towards achieving free trade is referred to as trade liberalization. One of the goals of trade liberalization is to promote economic growth by capturing both static and dynamic benefits of trade through more efficient allocation of resources. This research aims to examine the impact of international trade liberalization on export-import growth in five ASEAN countries. The study employs a qualitative descriptive research approach using literature review methods, drawing information from previous research journals and utilizing data obtained from the World Bank. The research is conducted in five ASEAN countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. The results of this research explain that trade liberalization and economic openness provide access to knowledge for developing countries and create a more competitive environment, forcing domestic producers to improve the quality of their products to remain competitive with foreign producers. Trade liberalization is associated with opening market access for a country's export products to the world. Technological developments are closely related to various types of trade systems in Indonesia, especially in export-import activities. This phenomenon is closely related to the use of technology in technology-based modern SMEs. The development of technology with various existing applications is the right choice because it makes international trade increasingly have a very broad market scope. The paradigm shift in international trade develops through the application of technology so that it is not outdated and looks boring. The export-import activities of an MSMEs require media that makes these MSMEs increasingly known by many people and is increasingly widespread with the development of digital technology

In various efforts to improve the economy of the Indonesian people, the role of MSME actors is considered very important to support and sustain people's lives. Many sectors have succeeded in encouraging the government to build structure and development in improving the Indonesian economy by providing employment and fully supporting MSME actors to further develop. The position of MSMEs itself is very undoubted because they managed to survive and become the driving force of the Indonesian economy during the crisis some time ago. Likewise, the influence of globalization can lead to very tight competition in export-import activities or international trade, so that economic growth and the welfare of some people can be achieved broadly and evenly. With the government's role in supporting the competitiveness strategy and development of MSMEs, new features are needed.

The development of world globalization at this time has resulted in all countries having to be able to adapt to the changes that have occurred. One of the impacts of globalization is the growing development of international markets which has led to more open export and import activities between countries. Export activities are activities of selling goods abroad, while import activities are the opposite, namely activities of buying goods from abroad. The development of import and export can improve the country's economy if it is managed effectively. Commodities that are often exported and imported are the non-oil and gas sector. Non-oil and gas itself stands for non-oil and gas. Export and import activities in the non-oil and gas sector in each province tend to be different and fluctuate, one of which is in West Java Province. This analysis aims to determine the development of the non-oil and gas export-import sector in West Java Province. The research method used in this analysis is to use qualitative methods by collecting data using literature study techniques collected through data from West Java BPS (Central Statistics Agency) regarding non-oil and gas exports and imports according to Goods Class (Millions USD) in 2013-2017. The results of this analysis show that (1) the export-import performance of the group of non-oil and gas goods in West Java Province from 2013 to 2017 shows an instability that can be seen in the value of imports, then an increase in the value of exports; (2) The trade balance shows a positive value, meaning that foreign trade in the non-oil and gas sector is dominated by exports.

The economy of a country can be seen from its internal conditions such as the real sector, namely production, consumption and investment. Then the monetary sector, such as inflation, the money supply and the balance of the exchange rate. In addition, the condition of the Indonesian economy can also be seen from external conditions which are reflected in the development of the balance of payments which illustrates the condition of the Indonesian economy in the real and monetary sectors. The balance of payments also measures the ability of the economy to support international transactions, especially transactions related to debt obligations and export-import transactions, and informs the government about the state of the economy, especially in this regard. On the results of economic relations with other countries. Thus, the balance of payments can assist in decision-making in the currency sector. Indonesia's balance of payments often fluctuates from time to time. A current account deficit does not result in a balance of payments deficit because the financial account increases capital and compensates for the current account deficit.

Nutmeg is one of the most popular export commodities in the world. Starting from seeds, mace, and nutmeg oil, they are targeted in the pharmaceutical, perfume and cosmetic industries as well as the food and beverage industry. However, it is still rare for nutmeg skin to be used and processed into a product of economic value. In society, a lot of nutmeg meat is thrown away and becomes waste. The IKM empowerment program at the Nutmeg IKM center aims to develop the knowledge and skills of nutmeg business actors in the South Aceh IKM Center to process nutmeg waste into value-added food products. This program promotes the manufacture of dodol made from nutmeg or called Dodol Pala. The program implementation method is divided into three stages: (1) Preparation, designing activities and coordinating with the South Aceh Nutmeg IKM Sentra UPTD; (2) Implementation of guidance, namely developing the knowledge of business actors about processed products made from nutmeg and (3) Training and mentoring, training activities with direct practice of making nutmeg dodol. Assistance is focused on making product packaging and marketing. This training involved various parties, including members of the Teuku Umar University Higher Education, South Aceh Nutmeg IKM Sentra UPTD, nutmeg business actors (IKM), and students. The achievement of this activity, the participants succeeded in developing knowledge about the benefits of nutmeg assessed from their participation during the three days following the activity. In addition, the participants also succeeded in making good quality nutmeg dodol. This activity is expected to be a motivation for nutmeg business actors in South Aceh district to implement their knowledge after this activity.
