The village has traditionally disposed of waste by burning it and throwing it beside the street, which is why there is a garbage stench. which has a strong odor as a result of careless trash dumping. In light of this issue, Ecobricks may offer a way to lessen plastic waste and turn it into products with a positive economic impact. Method: PAR (Participatory Action Research), which is study that identifies issues and then offers potential solutions. Findings: The Ecobrick technique is being used in Medan Krio Village to make use of plastic waste. A recycling technique known as "ecobricks" uses plastic bottles that have been packed full of non-organic materials until they are extremely hard and dense.

This study investigates the impact of a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) intervention on student motivation and academic self-efficacy in junior high schools in Indonesia. The research utilized a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test assessments to measure changes in intrinsic motivation and academic self-efficacy among the participants. A total of 200 students were divided into an experimental group, which participated in the SEL program, and a control group, which did not receive the intervention. The SEL program, delivered over one semester, focused on improving students' emotional regulation, social skills, and self-awareness, with an emphasis on autonomy, competence, and relatedness. The results demonstrated significant improvements in both intrinsic motivation and academic self-efficacy for the experimental group, with average increases of +19.2 and +17.4 points, respectively. Statistical analysis showed that the SEL intervention had a significant positive effect, with t-values of 7.56 (motivation) and 6.32 (self-efficacy) and p-values less than 0.01. In contrast, the control group exhibited minimal changes in both variables. These findings suggest that SEL interventions can foster a more balanced approach to learning by enhancing both emotional and academic development. The study highlights the importance of incorporating SEL programs into the curriculum to support students' holistic growth and academic success.

Catfish farming is a new livelihood being developed by the people of Lubuk Bendahara Timur village, Rokan Hulu district, Riau province. However, this effort faces challenges in terms of the use of expensive factory pellets, which account for about 60-70% of the total production cost. To overcome this problem, an alternative solution is proposed by producing fish pellets independently by utilizing palm oil waste in the village. Through this community service program, appropriate technology transfer was carried out for Lubuk Bendahara Timur villagers by empowering the local community in producing fish pellets independently. The implication of this program is the increased knowledge in optimizing the utilization of palm oil waste for fish pellet production, so as to reduce production costs, increase income, and manage waste effectively.

Background: Increasing droughts caused by climate change have significant impacts on the agricultural sector, particularly on household food security. Purposed: To examine farmers' perceptions of the impact of horticultural crop diversification as an adaptation strategy to improve food security in drought-prone areas. Research Method: A quantitative approach using a survey method based on questionnaires distributed to farmers involved in horticultural crop diversification. Household food security was measured using the Household Food Security Index (IKP), and linear regression analysis was used to assess the impact of crop diversification on food security. Results: Horticultural crop diversification can improve household food security, particularly in drought-prone areas. Social, economic, and agricultural resource access factors have a significant impact on food security, with access to agricultural resources having the greatest effect. The validity and reliability tests show that the instruments used in this study are valid and reliable. In addition, the normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests indicate that the data meet the assumptions required for regression analysis. This study concludes that horticultural diversification is an effective adaptation strategy in dealing with the impacts of climate change and improving household food security, with recommendations to increase access to agricultural resources and support crop diversification programs in drought-prone areas.

Many rivers in Indonesia had very poor water clarity due to a mixture of dirt and mud in the  water.  Polluted  rivers were  often  found  in  areas  near  settlements,  where  household  waste that flowing into rivers made the water look dirty and turbid. Pollutants dissolved in water will bind to small particles and settle at the bottom of the river, due to sedimentation. This research designed a device to detect sediment volume in the rivers. This device used an ultrasonic sensor type DYP-L04 and a rotary encoder for calculating volume, with Arduino Mega 2560 R3 as a processor. There is a PG45 motor that was used to set the motor speed to be constant. This ultrasonic sensor works based on the Arduino programming algorithm that has been designed,  so that the device can measure sediment volume optimally. The results of this research showed that the device could determine the volume of sediment with the average error score less than 10 %.

Kasindir Village is one of the villages in Jorlang Hataran District, Kabupaten Simalungun, Sumatera Utara. Kasindir Village is a village that carries out agricultural, livestock, and trade activities. Kasindir Village has great potential for developing MSMEs in the village. The development of MSMEs is considered capable of realizing a sustainable economy and supporting local governments in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) program, especially in poverty and hunger eradication programs, sustainable economic growth, and employment. Community service implementers in Kasindir Village observed that MSME actors still require understanding and knowledge on utilizing information technology to advance their businesses. This includes packaging attractive products, providing the latest innovations, and promoting on social media to expand their market. MSME strategy development is able to realize the spirit of the SDGs. In this activity, the methods used to carry out community service activities are socialization and observation methods. Some of the problems faced by creative MSMEs in Kasindir Village include limited capital, raw materials, the use of very simple production equipment, and limited marketing media. In the field of education, scientific writing skills are very important for both teachers who want to deliver lectures and students who want to complete their final assignments better. According to the rules that bind a student, conducting research for him is a must. Because of its importance, scientific papers must be made as good as possible, especially in terms of citations and references. In addition, most scientific papers are the result of students' own thoughts in addition to some other people's works that can be consulted further to ensure the quality of the work. Many students still complete their final assignments to date without being able to cite sources properly and correctly; instead, they do it automatically. It is hoped that by participating in this community service program, students in particular will be able to take advantage of training using Mendeley software to further maximize the quality of scientific work when citing all of their own scientific work, including theses. The objectives of this activity are to: (1) increase understanding of how to use Mendeley software, a citation application; (2) increase awareness of the benefits of using Mendeley; and (3) increase insight and talent in using more inventive and informative applications. The results of this activity show how useful this training is for the participants.

The premarital period can be linked to the preconception period, because after marriage a woman will immediately undergo the conception process. The preconception period is the period before pregnancy. The preconception period is the period of time from three months to one year before conception and ideally should include the time when the ovum and sperm are mature, which is around 100 days before conception. The nutritional status of WUS or premarital women for three to six months during the preconception period will determine the condition of the baby born. The prerequisites for perfect nutrition during the preconception period are the key to the birth of a normal and healthy baby. Marriage is one of the steps that must be taken to build a harmonious family. To take this step, all preparations are needed to form a harmonious family. The goal after carrying out the activity is to hope that catin will be exposed to health material regarding pre-wedding preparation and pre-marital screening. KIE community service activities for catin preparation and premarital screening have been carried out in the form of counseling, providing information and education regarding catin preparation and premarital screening. With a commitment to providing KIE catin and program sustainability will be carried out by KUA Medan Johor. It is hoped that this activity will not end in service activities, but with the media leaflet it can be used as a policy for the relevant agencies to develop it in the form of an application as a course method for catin in the health sector so that KUAs in other areas can utilize the application in implementing courses for catin, especially in the field of health.
