Digital development has significantly influenced business practices, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which are required to adapt to technological changes in order to remain competitive. However, many MSMEs still rely on conventional marketing methods and have limited understanding of digital marketing and digital financial management. This community service program aims to strengthen MSMEs’ competitiveness through the implementation of digital marketing strategies that support market expansion and improve business sustainability. The program was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach through a series of community service activities, including field observations, interviews, seminars, and mentoring sessions for MSME actors. The focus of the activities was to introduce and assist MSMEs in utilizing digital marketing platforms, particularly social media such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, as well as online marketplaces, to promote products more effectively. In addition, MSME participants were introduced to basic digital financial applications to support more structured and transparent financial recording. The results of the community service activities indicate positive changes among MSME participants, including increased awareness of the importance of digital marketing, improved product branding, broader market reach beyond local areas, and better financial management practices compared to previous manual recording methods. The adoption of digital marketing strategies enabled MSMEs to communicate product information more efficiently and build consumer trust through online presence. This community service program demonstrates that digital marketing assistance combined with practical mentoring can enhance MSMEs’ competitiveness and contribute to improving community economic welfare. Continuous support and consistency from MSME actors are essential to ensure the sustainability of digital transformation initiatives.

This study aims to systematically review performance measuring factors in MSMEs in the digital era in Indonesia. The research method uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the design of the PRISMA framework. The data sources used were obtained from various databases of quality scientific publications including emerald, taylor and francis, springerlink, and sciencedirect, with a time span from January 2020 to June 2025. A total of 24 international scientific articles published in the period were analyzed for further identification on the main trends, main topics, and research directions. The results of the study show that the role of digital transformation has become an important factor in shaping the performance of MSMEs in the modern era. The factors that measure the performance of MSMEs are related to entrepreneurial competence, adaptation to technology, innovation ability, and government support. Some of these supporting factors also support resilience and sustainability for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, the success of work achievements for business actors cannot be separated from adequate organizational readiness and resources, as well as good governance. This study contributes academically in the form of a conceptual framework for performance improvement measures for MSMEs, as well as providing recommendations as strategies for micro, small, and medium business actors to increase productivity so that businesses can grow and be sustainable in the digital era.

Digital transformation in the field of information technology requires Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to improve the quality of financial management to be able to compete sustainably. One effort that can be done is through the implementation of the Financial Management Information System (MISK). This study aims to analyze the implementation of MISK in MSMEs, examine the benefits obtained, and identify obstacles faced in the implementation process. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The object of the study is the culinary MSME "Dapur Lestari Jambi" which has implemented a digital financial recording application and Point of Sale (POS) system. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of MISK can increase the accuracy of transaction recording, accelerate the preparation of financial reports, improve cash flow management, and support data-based managerial decision-making. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in driving Indonesia's economic growth, but still face limitations in systematic financial management. The use of digital accounting applications is one solution to improve the quality of MSME financial recording and reporting. This activity aims to highlight the advantages of financial reporting education using the Jurnal Bijak application at the J't Fresh MSME in Palangka Raya City. The methods used included interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the activity showed that the Jurnal Bijak application is effective, efficient, and easy to use by MSMEs in recording financial transactions. This application enables the preparation of accurate and structured financial reports based on simple transaction evidence, such as income and expense records, general journals, and ledgers. The resulting financial statements include Income Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity, Statement of Cash Flow, and Statement of Financial Position. The main advantages of this program focus on increasing financial literacy, reducing recording errors, and time efficiency in the accounting process, thereby supporting transparency and accountability in MSME management.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia often face challenges in protecting their Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), particularly due to limited understanding of trademark, copyright, and product design registration. This lack of legal awareness reduces competitiveness and increases the risk of ownership disputes. This Community Service Program aimed to enhance the legal knowledge and awareness of MSMEs regarding IPR through an interactive counseling activity in Bacang Subdistrict, Pangkal Pinang City. The method included material presentation, interactive discussions, IPR registration simulations, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test. The activity was attended by 25 participants from various business sectors. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding, as evidenced by the average pre-test score of 43.08 increasing to 77.08 in the post-test, representing a 79% improvement. Beyond knowledge enhancement, participants also demonstrated a shift in mindset, with the majority expressing a commitment to initiate IPR registration steps. These findings confirm that practice-based counseling combined with interactive discussions is effective in increasing MSME legal awareness and supporting the protection of intellectual assets through IPR mechanisms

Akuntansi Pajak dan Kebijakan Ekonomi Digital 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economic growth by creating employment opportunities and contributing significantly to the national GDP. However, their contribution to the country’s tax revenue remains relatively low compared to their overall economic impact. This study aims to examine the contribution of the MSME sector to Indonesia’s tax revenue and to identify the factors influencing this contribution level. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), and the Ministry of Finance covering the period 2018–2023. The findings indicate that the tax contribution from MSMEs has gradually increased over the years, although it still accounts for less than one percent of total national tax revenue. This positive trend is supported by the implementation of lower tax rates, the digitalization of tax systems, and the growing tax awareness among business owners. The study suggests that further administrative simplification and stronger government support are essential to enhance the role of MSMEs in strengthening Indonesia’s fiscal capacity

The downstreaming of natural resources has emerged as a strategic policy implemented by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs to strengthen Indonesia’s economic independence and reduce reliance on raw commodity exports. Grounded in the philosophical foundation of Pancasila, this policy emphasizes the principles of economic equality, national sovereignty, and sustainability, in line with the overarching goals of national development. This study aims to analyze the role of industrial downstreaming policies in enhancing national economic self-reliance through the integration of Pancasila values. Substantively, downstreaming increases value-added production, boosts domestic investment, and facilitates job creation, particularly in the mineral processing and agro-industrial sectors. Moreover, the policy contributes to reducing economic vulnerability to global market fluctuations and aligns with the Pancasila principles of social justice and collective welfare. However, several challenges remain, including infrastructure readiness, environmental sustainability, and inclusive participation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The research indicates that the industrial downstream sector, as regulated by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, plays a crucial role in realizing national economic autonomy, requiring its implementation to be aligned with Pancasila principles in order to balance economic progress with equity and sustainability.

The blue economy is widely promoted as a pathway to sustainable development, yet women’s enterprises remain marginalized by structural barriers. This study investigates whether support systems directly influence the sustainability of coastal women’s businesses in Bulukumba South Sulawesi, Indonesia, while applying the Quintuple Bottom Line (QBL) and Theory of Change (Toc) frameworks. A quantitative design using survey data from women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) was analyzed through structural equation modeling (SEM). The model assessed the reliability of constructs and tested the hypothesized effect of support systems including access to finance, social support, and public policy on sustainability outcomes. Findings reveal that although the measurement model demonstrated reliability and validity, support systems showed no significant direct effect on sustainability. This result contrasts with much of the existing literature but aligns with recent studies emphasizing mediation through financial literacy, managerial capacity, and institutional scaffolding. The study thus adds nuance by demonstrating that external interventions, in isolation, are insufficient for sustaining women’s enterprises in coastal contexts. The research contributes theoretically by extending QBL and Toc to gendered coastal entrepreneurship and practically by highlighting the need for integrated, gender-sensitive policies. Future research should examine mediating and moderating mechanisms that translate support into long term sustainability.

This study investigates the effectiveness of digital transformation in enhancing client acquisition, using a case study of a lamp business in Indonesia. Established in 2021, the company initially operated through traditional offline channels but expanded to online platforms in 2022, integrating digital tools including AI-based financial management systems to streamline operations and support decision-making. The research focuses on comparing offline and online strategies, examining key performance indicators such as revenue contribution, customer acquisition costs, conversion rates, and operational challenges encountered in both modes. In addition, the study explores whether the observed revenue growth following digitalization is primarily driven by online sales or whether it benefits from a hybrid approach that combines both online and offline channels. By analyzing these aspects, the study seeks to provide insights into the practical implications of digital transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly in the Indonesian market. The findings are expected to clarify whether adopting digital strategies offers a measurable advantage over traditional methods in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and market reach. Ultimately, this research aims to inform SME owners and managers about best practices for leveraging digital tools to enhance client acquisition and drive sustainable business growth.

This study aims to analyze the influence of employer branding and digital capability on turnover intention, with employee engagement serving as a mediating variable, in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Central Java Province. The research design uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research method. The research sample consists of 205 SMEs employees selected using purposive sampling techniques with criteria of a minimum of six months of service and active use of digital technology in their work. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that employer branding has a positive effect on employee engagement and a negative effect on turnover intention. Digital capability has a positive effect on employee engagement, but its direct effect on turnover intention is not significant. Employee engagement was found to mediate the relationship between employer branding and turnover intention, as well as between digital capability and turnover intention. These findings reinforce the relevance of Social Exchange Theory and the Resource-Based View in the context of human resource management in the SME sector, while also providing practical implications that strengthening employer branding and enhancing employees' digital competencies can reduce turnover intention.

This study explores how resource-constrained small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia’s advertising sector adapt digital transformation strategies to achieve sustainable development. Using the case of Roxy Maharewa, an SME in Makassar–Gowa, the research examines strategic trade-offs between investing in advanced digital platforms and operationally transformative physical assets. Guided by the Resource-Based View, Strategic Trade-off Theory, and Contingency Theory, this qualitative case study employs semi-structured interviews with key decision-makers. Findings reveal that prioritizing high-capacity production equipment eliminated structural cost disadvantages from outsourced printing, enabling twice to fourth times potential profit margin gains and strengthening market competitiveness. Rather than adopting a fully digital-first approach, the firm employed a hybrid strategy leveraging low-cost digital tools for internal efficiency while maintaining offline relationship management to align with client preferences and infrastructural realities. This asset-led hybrid model demonstrates how SMEs in emerging markets can integrate selective digital adoption with tangible investments to achieve both rapid returns and long-term sustainability. The paper contributes to the discourse on digital transformation by providing a context-sensitive perspective for policymakers and practitioners, emphasizing that in heterogeneous digital readiness environments, blended strategies can deliver superior economic and social.
