This study explores Mohammad Hatta's influence on housing policies in Indonesia, highlighting his integration of Islamic principles into public policy to enhance societal welfare. Hatta viewed housing as a fundamental human right that extends beyond physical needs to encompass spiritual and social dimensions. Grounded in Islamic values such as justice (‘adl), trust (amanah), and solidarity (ta'awun), his policies aimed to ensure equitable access to adequate housing, particularly for low-income communities, while promoting holistic well-being. Hatta’s vision aligned with Islamic teachings that emphasize fairness and state responsibility in fulfilling basic human rights, as reflected in QS. An-Nisa: 58. His ideas inspired initiatives like the Sejuta Rumah (One Million Houses) Program and Tapera (People’s Housing Savings), which address housing disparities and support societal harmony. Additionally, Hatta championed cooperative-based housing development, fostering community participation and mutual assistance, which not only ensured affordable housing but also empowered local economies. By integrating Islamic principles into housing policies, Hatta demonstrated how public policy could balance material, social, and spiritual needs to achieve sustainable societal welfare. His approach offers a valuable framework for future housing programs to promote justice, inclusivity, and collective prosperity.

This research examines the Peranakan Arabic dialect in Condet, East Jakarta, as a representation of cultural acculturation between Hadrami Arab society and local Indonesian culture. This dialect is the result of a unique blend of standard Arabic with elements of Indonesian and Javanese, reflecting a long history of migration and cultural interaction. This research aims to analyze linguistic characteristics, social roles, and challenges faced in maintaining this dialect. The act of sacrifice (udhiyah) is a form of worship in Islam that holds profound spiritual and social values. Sacrifice aims to draw closer to Allah SWT while demonstrating solidarity with others through the distribution of meat to the community, especially those in need. However, the implementation of sacrifice is often not fully understood, particularly regarding its rulings and etiquettes, such as the selection of animals, slaughtering procedures, and meat distribution. This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the rulings of udhiyah and the etiquettes of sacrifice based on Islamic law.The research employs a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were collected from primary sources such as the Qur'an and hadith, as well as secondary sources including books of Islamic jurisprudence, scholarly journals, and other relevant literature. Data analysis was conducted descriptively to identify and organize systematic insights related to the topic. The results indicate that sacrifice is obligatory for those who can afford it according to some scholars, while the majority consider it a strongly recommended act (sunnah muakkad). The etiquettes of sacrifice include sincere intentions, selecting animals that meet Islamic requirements, proper and humane slaughtering, and proportional meat distribution. Sacrifice also holds spiritual wisdom, such as strengthening faith and gratitude, as well as social benefits by fostering community bonds through sharing. This study concludes that sacrifice is not merely an annual ritual but also a reflection of values such as devotion, sincerity, and solidarity that must be instilled continuously in the lives of Muslims.

Indonesia is known for its diversity of culture, ethnicity, religion and customs. One of the noble values contained in Indonesian culture is the spirit of mutual cooperation. Mutual cooperation is a form of cooperation between individuals or groups in solving work or problems together, regardless of social status, background or personal interests. In the history of the Indonesian nation, this spirit has proven to be a solid foundation in building social solidarity, strengthening unity, and supporting the sustainability of social life. However, along with the times and rapid advances in technology, the value of mutual cooperation has begun to be replaced by the values of more individualism. emphasizes personal interests and individual achievements. The modern era, with all the dynamics and influence of globalization, has caused many people to focus more on personal success without considering collective interests. This aims to re-explore the spirit of mutual cooperation in the modern era with an approach that is relevant to current developments, as well as finding ways to restore the value of togetherness which is increasingly being eroded by individualism.

Islam Nusantara is an Islamic concept that integrates Islamic teachings with the local wisdom of the archipelago, offering a moderate, tolerant, and contextual approach. This concept is rooted in the long history of Islamic acculturation with local culture through peaceful channels, arts, and traditions. As a model of thought, Islam Nusantara emphasises the universality of Islam applied according to the local socio-cultural context, prioritising the values of moderation (wasathiyah), interfaith tolerance, and respect for tradition. In religious praxis, Islam Nusantara includes traditions such as tahlilan, slametan, and the Prophet's maulid, which serve as a means of da'wah and strengthening social solidarity. However, challenges such as globalisation and misunderstanding of the concept require a strategic response to keep Islam Nusantara relevant. As a model of thought and practice, Islam Nusantara reflects the flexibility of Islam in dealing with modern dynamics without losing its principles of universality. With an inclusive approach, Islam Nusantara has the potential to inspire Muslim communities around the world to integrate Islamic teachings with local culture in harmony.

The purpose of this study is to examine the elements that contribute to the Indonesian population's poor insurance knowledge. Even though insurance plays a significant role in offering financial security, public involvement is still minimal. This study highlights a number of important elements, such as a strong sense of communal solidarity, limitations in commercial communication, and inadequate financial literacy. People often rely on unofficial social assistance, which makes them believe that insurance is not necessary. Misunderstandings about the advantages of insurance are also a result of insurance firms' poor marketing strategies and lack of socialization. Data was gathered from a variety of pertinent literature sources using a literature review and qualitative analysis process. The results show that more successful teaching approaches that are appropriate for the local cultural context are required to improve public awareness and involvement in insurance. It is anticipated that this research will aid in the creation of programs and policies that will raise insurance literacy in Indonesia.

This study analyzes the differences between the neoliberal and social democratic paradigms in poverty alleviation policies in Indonesia, by adding an Islamic Economic perspective as an alternative. The neoliberal paradigm focuses on free market mechanisms, deregulation, and minimizing the role of the state, but often exacerbates social inequality. In contrast, the social democratic paradigm balances the role of the market and state intervention through resource redistribution and protection of vulnerable groups through sustainable social programs. Islamic economics offers a complementary approach oriented towards the principles of distributive justice, balance, and solidarity, by integrating spiritual values into socio-economic policies. A qualitative approach is used in this study, with policy analysis of programs such as the Family Hope Program (PKH) and the National Health Insurance (JKN). The results show that the social democratic paradigm is more effective in reducing poverty systemically than neoliberalism, especially through increasing access to education, health, and social protection. However, budget constraints, corruption, and infrastructure gaps remain significant challenges. The Islamic Economic perspective emphasizes the importance of zakat, waqf, and infaq as instruments of wealth redistribution that have the potential to strengthen inclusive and sustainable poverty alleviation policies. This study recommends strengthening the synergy between the paradigm of social democracy and the values of Islamic Economics to create policies that are more effective, equitable, and oriented towards the welfare of society holistically.

Diaconal ministry is one form of church service that embodies the love of Christ in serving others. However, in practice, this ministry is often carried out in a charitable manner and has yet to fully address comprehensive and sustainable empowerment of the congregation. This study is driven by the urgent need to develop a diaconal service that not only provides temporary assistance but also effectively enhances the socio-economic independence of the congregation, particularly within the context of Gereja Isa Almasih Pringgading, where some Christian members face economic challenges due to limited access, resources, and institutional church support. The objective of this study is to analyze and describe the role of the Church Council in developing reformative and sustainable empowerment-based diaconal ministry. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews with Church Council members and service recipients, direct observations of diaconal activities, and documentation of church archives and social service reports. Data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns of service, empowerment strategies, and socio-economic impacts on the congregation. The study's findings reveal that the Church Council plays a strategic role in transforming diaconal ministry from mere charitable assistance into a structured empowerment program. Successfully implemented programs include entrepreneurial skills training, micro-business mentoring for congregation members, internal church cooperative development, and the establishment of local economic partnership networks. The impacts of these programs are reflected in increased household incomes, improved economic independence for some members, and strengthened social solidarity within the congregation. This study produces a conceptual model of empowerment-based diaconal ministry that can be replicated by other local churches to sustainably enhance congregational welfare.
