Exercise is a planned physical activity that not only contributes to physical fitness but also plays a significant role in maintaining and improving mental health. This study aims to explore the relationship between physical exercise and mental well-being among adolescents and university students with diverse backgrounds of physical activity. The research employs a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with five informants, consisting of university students who engage in recreational exercise, recreational runners, middle- and long-distance runners, and a sprinter. Data collection was conducted in several public sports spaces in the city of Bandung, focusing on participants’ subjective experiences related to their psychological conditions before and after engaging in exercise. The findings indicate that all participants perceive exercise as an effective means of emotional regulation. Physical activity is consistently associated with improved mood, reduced stress, enhanced sleep quality, stable energy levels, and increased academic concentration and focus. In addition, exercise contributes to the development of self-confidence, self-efficacy, and self-control through structured routines. The social aspects of exercise, such as support from peers, communities, and coaches, were shown to strengthen the sustainability of physical activity while also providing essential emotional support for mental health. However, among competitive athletes, performance-related pressure was identified as a factor that may negatively affect psychological well-being, although this effect can be moderated by adequate social support. Overall, the findings of this study emphasize that exercise functions as an adaptive coping mechanism operating through biological, psychological, and social pathways, and highlight the importance of consistency and balance in physical activity to achieve optimal mental health benefits.

Academic stress is a prevalent issue among Indonesian students, affecting both their academic performance and mental well-being. This study investigates the effectiveness of short educational videos on social media in improving students' knowledge about academic stress. A descriptive quantitative approach was used, with a sample of 35 Nursing students from the 2024 cohort at Malahayati University. The data was collected through questionnaires administered before and after students were exposed to 1-3 minute educational videos. The results showed a notable increase in the average knowledge score, from 82.71 to 85. The findings suggest that short videos, which are visually engaging and easy to access, are highly effective for Generation Z learners. Social media platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram, can be valuable tools for early psychological intervention, providing students with accessible resources to manage academic stress on their own. This study highlights the potential of leveraging digital platforms to support student well-being and offers insights into innovative approaches for addressing mental health challenges in educational settings.

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of theft committed by 15-year-old adolescents in market environments, which creates tension between criminal law enforcement and the principle of child protection in the Indonesian legal system. The study aims to analyze the legal regulations of theft under the old Criminal Code (Law No. 1 of 1946), the new Criminal Code (Law No. 1 of 2023), and the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law; to examine the criminal liability of adolescents from the perspective of criminal law theory; and to review the implementation of restorative justice and diversion. The research method used is normative legal research with statutory, conceptual, and case approaches, particularly reviewing the provisions of Article 591 of the new Criminal Code, the theory of fault, and the principle of proportionality. The results indicate that the criminal liability of children must take into account psychological limitations, maturity levels, and criminogenic factors, including the influence of the social environment. Furthermore, the mens rea element in the phrase "known or reasonably suspected" is difficult to apply in practice to transactions involving small losses, as price reasonableness can obscure indications of malicious intent. This finding affirms that imposing criminal penalties on children in cases of petty theft potentially contradicts the principles of ultimum remedium and proportionality. Therefore, law enforcement should prioritize diversion, mediation, and restorative justice approaches by involving families and communities to achieve substantive justice and prevent excessive criminalization of children.

Adulthood is a crucial time for preparing for old age. During this period, a person experiences physical, mental, and social changes that can impact psychological well-being in later life. Prior to writing this article, an outreach program was conducted with adults regarding the aging process and the importance of emotional preparation to better understand and prepare them for old age. Emotional preparation encompasses a person's ability to understand, control, and express feelings wisely. Inadequate emotional preparation can increase the risk of stress, anxiety, and loneliness in old age. This study aims to examine the role of emotional preparation in adulthood on psychological well-being in old age. The method used was a literature review. The results indicate that adults with e better ablegood emotional preparation ar to adapt to life's changes in old age. Therefore, strengthening emotional preparation in adulthood is crucial to supporting psychological well-being and a healthy aging process.

Background: Ovarian cancer is one of the most lethal cancers affecting women and requires long-term treatment such as chemotherapy. The chemotherapy process often causes various physical and psychological side effects that may reduce patients’ motivation to undergo treatment consistently. Family support plays an essential role in enhancing motivation, treatment adherence, and patients’ readiness to face therapy. Aims: This study aims to determine the influence of family support on the motivation of ovarian cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: This research was conducted at the Darussalam and Ma’wa Buildings of RSI Sultan Agung Semarang. The study used a descriptive correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total population of 47 ovarian cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy from January to April was obtained. The sampling technique used was Total Sampling. The bivariate analysis was performed using the Spearman Rank Correlation test. Results: The analysis showed that most respondents had low levels of family support (44.7%) and moderate levels of motivation (36.2%). The Spearman test indicated a correlation value of r = 0.678 with a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a strong and significant relationship between family support and patient motivation in undergoing chemotherapy. Conclusion: There is a significant influence between family support and the motivation of ovarian cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Academic stress is a psychological pressure commonly experienced by final-year university students, particularly during the process of completing their undergraduate thesis. High academic demands, limited time, pressure to graduate on schedule, and various obstacles encountered during research may intensify students’ emotional burden. When left unmanaged, academic stress can escalate into more serious psychological problems, including suicidal ideation. This study aims to analyze the relationship between academic stress levels and suicidal ideation among final-year students at Universitas Islam Sultan Agung Semarang. This research employed a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 180 respondents were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research instruments consisted of the Perceived Academic Stress (PAS) scale to measure academic stress levels and the Adult Suicidal Ideation Questionnaire (ASIQ) to assess suicidal ideation. Data analysis was conducted using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results showed that the majority of students experienced high (49.4%) and very high (47.8%) levels of academic stress. Meanwhile, suicidal ideation was most commonly found in the mild category (42.8%), followed by the no-risk category (28.9%). The statistical test indicated a significance value of p = 0.021 with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.172, demonstrating a positive and significant relationship between academic stress and suicidal ideation. These findings indicate that higher levels of academic stress are associated with an increased likelihood of suicidal thoughts among final-year students. The study highlights the importance of mental health support, academic guidance, and accessible counseling services to mitigate psychological distress and reduce the risk of suicidal ideation during the thesis completion period.

Online gambling has emerged as a growing public health and social concern, particularly in developing countries with rapid digitalization such as Indonesia. Increased internet accessibility, mobile device usage, and financial technology services have facilitated the widespread adoption of online gambling across diverse age groups, including adolescents. This study aims to investigate the phenomenon of online gambling and identify key determinants contributing to addictive gambling behavior. The method used is a narrative literature review, synthesizing findings from national and international studies related to online gambling, behavioral addiction, psychological mechanisms, and socio-environmental factors. The findings indicate that online gambling addiction is influenced by multiple interrelated determinants, including economic pressure, cognitive distortions such as illusion of control, low legal awareness, environmental exposure, and technological features embedded in gambling platforms. Neurobiologically, repetitive gambling behavior is reinforced by dysregulation of the brain’s reward system, particularly dopamine pathways, which strengthens compulsive engagement despite adverse consequences. Psychosocial impacts include increased risk of anxiety, depression, financial instability, social isolation, and criminal behavior. The study also highlights that adolescents are particularly vulnerable due to developmental factors and peer influence. The implications of these findings emphasize the need for comprehensive prevention strategies involving stricter legal enforcement, public education, mental health interventions, family support, and technological regulation. A multidisciplinary and public health–oriented approach is essential to reduce the prevalence of online gambling addiction and mitigate its long-term psychological, social, and economic consequences.

Psychology personnel in primary healthcare centers (Puskesmas) play a strategic role in delivering mental health services at the primary level; however, they are frequently confronted with complex and multifaceted job demands. This study aims to examine the effects of workload and work stress on the job performance of psychology personnel in Puskesmas in Surabaya City. A quantitative approach with a correlational cross-sectional design was employed. The study population comprised all psychology personnel working in Puskesmas in Surabaya City, with total sampling applied, resulting in 63 respondents. Workload and work stress were measured using five-point Likert scales, while job performance was assessed based on monthly psychology service reports. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that the majority of psychology personnel experienced high workload levels and relatively high work stress, whereas overall job performance was predominantly categorized as good. Regression analysis revealed that workload and work stress simultaneously had a significant effect on job performance, and partially both variables exerted a negative effect on performance. These findings suggest that although psychology personnel are generally able to maintain adequate performance, excessive workload and elevated work stress may potentially undermine performance in the long term if not properly managed. Therefore, this study highlights the importance of systematic workload management and work stress intervention strategies to sustain the quality of psychological services in primary healthcare settings.

Ideally, final-year undergraduates are expected to demonstrate psychological maturity and a clear sense of future direction. However, the pressure of academic demands and social expectations often precipitates a "quarter-life crisis," triggering profound anxiety during this transitional phase. This study investigates the relationship between religiosity and the quarter life crisis among final-year students at Universitas Ibrahimy Situbondo. Employing a quantitative correlational design, the study involved 149 students selected via convenience sampling from a population of 237. Data were collected using the Religiosity Scale and the Quarter-Life Crisis Scale, then analyzed using simple linear regression with JASP version 0.19.1.0. Contrary to common assumptions in religious settings, the findings revealed that religiosity was not significantly associated with the quarter life crisis (p = .105 > .05). The effective contribution of religiosity in explaining the variance of the crisis was minimal (R2 = 0.018 or 1.8%), indicating that 98.2% of the phenomenon is driven by factors outside the scope of this study. These results suggest that religiosity is not a sole predictor capable of buffering against quarter life crisis. Consequently, further research should explore other potential mitigating variables, such as social support, self-efficacy, or career adaptability, particularly within Islamic boarding school-based university environments.

Motor development in early childhood is a crucial foundation for executive functions and psychosocial health. However, the current sedentary lifestyle and gadget dependency hinder the optimization of this physical potential. This community service aims to enhance children's self-confidence and physical agility through the "Active Movement Exploration: Fun Agility Game" program. The activity was conducted at TK Negeri PAUD Tamalate, Makassar, involving 93 children in the initial observation. The method employed was Guided Modeling-Practice, which includes agility circuit preparation, demonstration, and guided exploration. The game instruments included Zig-Zag Safari, Stop-Go Traffic, Balance River Stones, Ball-to-Target Trail, and Choose-Your-Path. The results showed a significant improvement in Fundamental Motor Skills (FMS), particularly in agility, balance, and manipulative coordination. Additionally, there was progress in psychological aspects, specifically in self-regulation, autonomy, and self-efficacy. In conclusion, the integration of structured yet enjoyable agility games is effective in building a strong physical and character foundation in early childhood.

Students' learning processes are not only determined by cognitive abilities but are also greatly influenced by accompanying psychological aspects. At the junior high school (SMP) level, students are in the early adolescence phase, which is characterized by significant changes in emotions, motivation, and social needs. This condition makes psychological aspects a crucial factor in determining learning success. This study aims to examine the psychological dynamics that influence the learning process of junior high school students and their implications for the implementation of learning. The research method used is field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results show that learning motivation, emotional state, learning strategies, and social environmental support have interrelated roles in shaping students' learning experiences. Differences in students' psychological states contribute to variations in engagement and learning outcomes. Therefore, understanding students' psychological dynamics is crucial for teachers in designing effective, comfortable, and meaningful learning.

Anxiety is a prevalent mental health issue that affects psychological well-being and daily functioning. In Muslim communities, Islamic spiritual practices are commonly used as coping strategies, yet empirical evidence regarding their effectiveness in reducing anxiety has not been systematically consolidated. This study aimed to synthesize scientific evidence on Islamic spiritual interventions for anxiety reduction. A systematic literature review was conducted in accordance with PRISMA guidelines by searching Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Elsevier. Observational studies published between 2019 and 2026 that examined Islamic spiritual interventions and reported anxiety outcomes were included and analyzed narratively. Ten eligible articles were identified. The review demonstrates that Islamic spiritual interventions, such as dhikr, prayer, Qur’an recitation, and Islamic spiritual counseling, are consistently associated with reductions in anxiety across diverse populations and settings. Although the magnitude of effects varied, the overall findings indicate a beneficial role of Islamic spiritual practices in anxiety management. These results suggest that Islamic spiritual interventions may be integrated as complementary approaches within mental health and public health services for Muslim populations, while further methodologically rigorous studies are required to strengthen the evidence base.

Adolescence is a crucial period in human development, characterized by biological, psychological, and social changes. At this stage, adolescents require proper understanding of reproductive health to prevent risky behaviors and to support the development of healthy and responsible attitudes. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ knowledge of reproductive health through socialization at State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Mempura, Siak Regency. The method used was descriptive qualitative with a focus on education through material delivery, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The activity was conducted on August 14, 2025, at the SMKN 1 Mempura Hall, involving 39 students out of 50 targeted participants. Data were obtained through observation of students’ participation and documentation of the activity, and were then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results showed that students were enthusiastic in attending the socialization and demonstrated improved understanding of reproductive health concepts, reproductive organ functions, personal hygiene, and the risks of unsafe sexual behaviors. The interactive discussion also revealed students’ willingness to ask questions and share perspectives, reflecting stronger attitudes and confidence in maintaining reproductive health. In conclusion, the socialization of reproductive health at SMKN 1 Mempura successfully enhanced students’ knowledge and awareness. Despite limitations in terms of time allocation and long-term evaluation, this activity provided tangible benefits. Future efforts are recommended to develop sustainable programs supported by additional learning media and closer collaboration with the school.

Losing a father, whether through death or divorce, is a significant life event that can impact adolescents' psychological well-being, one of which is feelings of loneliness. Fathers play a crucial role in a child's emotional and social development, and their absence can trigger feelings of isolation or a lack of social connection. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in levels of loneliness between male and female adolescents who have lost their fathers. This study used a quantitative approach with a comparative method. The subjects in this study were 152 adolescents, consisting of 96 female adolescents and 56 male adolescents who had lost their fathers. Data were collected using a loneliness scale structured according to aspects of loneliness. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis was an Independent Sample T-Test. The results of the data analysis showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.105 (p > 0.05). This indicates that the hypothesis stating differences in levels of loneliness is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there are no significant differences in loneliness experienced by male and female adolescents who have lost their fathers. Both gender groups showed relatively similar levels of loneliness in response to the loss of a father.   The results of the data analysis showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.105 (p > 0.05). The phenomenon of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) has become increasingly prominent among Generation Z due to the high intensity of social media use. Social media serves not only as a communication tool but also as a space for identity construction and the pursuit of social validation. Exposure to influencer content portraying ideal lifestyles, social achievements, and trending activities encourages individuals to remain constantly connected in order to avoid feeling left behind in digital communities. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media influencer content on the level of FOMO among Generation Z. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a literature review method by examining relevant national and international academic journals published within the last five years. Data were analyzed by identifying patterns linking influencer content exposure, psychological mechanisms of FOMO, and its impact on Generation Z’s behavior and psychological well-being. The findings indicate that influencer content significantly contributes to social comparison processes and increases the need for digital validation, such as likes and comments, which are perceived as indicators of social acceptance. This condition strengthens FOMO tendencies and leads to excessive digital engagement, consumptive behavior, and psychological pressure. The discussion highlights that social media algorithms further intensify this cycle by repeatedly promoting popular and viral content. In conclusion, influencer content plays a crucial role in intensifying FOMO among Generation Z, emphasizing the importance of digital literacy and critical awareness to mitigate its negative effects.

This research analyzes the phenomenon of identity concealment bu the main character in the anime 91 Days, Angelo Lagusa, who disguises himself as Avilio Bruno to revenge his family’s murder. The focus of this research is to identify and classify the ego defense mechanisms by Sigmund Freud employed by Angelo thoughout this process of concealment. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative method and a literary psychology approach, this research aims to provide a detailed description of how ego defense mechanism is manifested in the character’s actions and behavior. Data was collected through direct observation of all episodes in the series. The analysis reveals that four primary ego defense mechanisms are predominant. These four primary ego defense mechanisms are repression, sublimation, displacement and rationalization. Repression emerges as the most prominent mechanism, characterized by Angelo’s constant effort to suppress emotional drives (id), particularly in pain, rage and trauma into the subconscious to prevent them from interfering with his primary mission. Meanwhile, sublimation is evident when he channels his emotional energy into strategic and structured planning for his revenge. Displacement is observed in moments where his anger is redirected toward less threatening targets. Furthermore, rationalization is used by Angelo to justify his harsh and cruel actions with the logic of vengeance and justice. This research concludes that Angelo as Avilio in disguise is not merely a narrative strategy but an external representation of a complex internal psychological dynamic, where the ego functions as a mediator between the demands of the emotional id and the constraints of reality. Through this analysis, this research is expected to contribute to development of literary psychology studies, particularly in understanding the psychological construction of fictional characters through a Freudian theoretical lens.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) requires comprehensive management beyond pharmacological therapy, including sustainable lifestyle-based interventions. Yoga asana, as a form of mind–body intervention, integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation practices that may influence metabolic and psychosocial pathways relevant to T2DM. This article aimed to synthesize evidence regarding the physiological mechanisms, clinical effectiveness, and healthcare implementation context of yoga asana in T2DM management, as well as to discuss the role of physicians in integrating this complementary therapy, including within health tourism settings. A narrative literature review was conducted using scientific databases, focusing on publications addressing yoga asana, mind–body interventions, T2DM, and clinical integration. The findings indicate that yoga asana is associated with improved glycemic control, including reductions in fasting blood glucose, postprandial glucose, and HbA1c, alongside modulation of stress-related physiological parameters and psychological well-being. Beyond clinical outcomes, yoga asana shows potential for community-based and health tourism contexts as part of chronic disease lifestyle management. Physicians play a central role in clinical assessment, patient education, coordination with complementary therapy providers, and ongoing monitoring to ensure safe, evidence-based integration. Although current evidence suggests consistent beneficial trends, methodological heterogeneity highlights the need for more standardized and mechanistic research.

Advances in information technology have ushered society into the new media era, where social media is not just an information tool but also a new social space for teenagers. Instagram, as a visual-based platform, plays a significant role in shaping the reality of ideal lifestyles. Teenagers, who are in the process of discovering their identities, are susceptible to the influence of influencers and aesthetically constructed lifestyle trends on social media. This often triggers a shift in consumption patterns from functional to symbolic needs. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects consisted of 10 students from the 2025 class of International Women University in Bandung, aged 18-20. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction and presentation. The findings indicate that all subjects are active social media users, spending 4 to 9 hours per day. They use Instagram as a means of building their personal branding and seeking lifestyle references. There is a tendency for consumer behavior driven by four main factors: peer influence and the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) phenomenon, the use of goods as symbols of social identity (sign value), exposure to persuasive content from opinion leaders or influencers, and consumption as psychological compensation (self-reward) to relieve academic stress. Students tend to make impulsive purchases of viral fashion, beauty, and culinary products to gain social recognition online.

Bullying is a common problem in elementary schools and can negatively impact students' psychological and social development, as well as their academic achievement. This community service activity aims to increase students' understanding and awareness of bullying at Ngemplak Elementary School regarding the definition, forms, impacts, and prevention of bullying through outreach and educational activities. The method used was a qualitative approach with case studies, implemented through interactive lectures, discussions, Q&A sessions, and supporting activities such as icebreakers and anti-bullying songs. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of bullying behavior, a growing sense of empathy, and the courage to reject and reprimand bullying. Student participation was very active and enthusiastic, supported by a fun and communicative learning environment. The school also responded positively, assessing the activity as beneficial in supporting character education and creating a safe and comfortable learning environment. Overall, the outreach and education on bullying prevention at Ngemplak Elementary School has made a significant contribution to building a school culture that is more caring, respectful, and free from bullying.
