Cancer is a chronic disease that not only affects physical conditions but also imposes a significant psychological burden on both cancer patients and cancer survivors. Various mental health problems, such as anxiety, depression, stress, and psychological distress, are frequently experienced throughout the processes of diagnosis, treatment, and the survivorship phase. One psychological intervention that has developed and been widely studied is expressive writing, which allows individuals to freely express their thoughts and emotions through writing. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of expressive writing interventions on the mental health of cancer patients and cancer survivors using a literature review method. The article search process was conducted in international databases (ScienceDirect, PubMed, and SpringerLink) and a national database (Garuda), covering publications from 2020 to 2025. Article selection was carried out using PRISMA guidelines, and methodological quality assessment was conducted using the Critical Appraisal tools from the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Based on the selection results, nine articles met the eligibility criteria for analysis. The review findings indicate that most studies report positive effects of expressive writing in reducing anxiety, depression, stress, and psychological distress, as well as improving quality of life, positive affect, self-efficacy, and posttraumatic growth. However, the effectiveness of this intervention varies depending on individual characteristics, clinical context, writing structure and focus, intervention duration, and cultural appropriateness. Therefore, expressive writing has the potential to serve as an effective, flexible, and low-cost supportive intervention in cancer care, particularly when it is designed contextually and adaptively in accordance with patients’ psychological needs.

Sustainable tourism aims to maximize the potential of travel destinations while maintaining a careful balance between social, economic, and environmental factors, and coastal tourism such as that found at Mutun Beach in Lampung illustrates both the promise and the urgency of this approach. Coastal tourism is one of the fastest-growing segments of the global travel industry, offering visitors natural beauty, recreational activities, and cultural experiences that generate significant income for local economies. In Indonesia, beaches are major attractions that can boost regional development through job creation, small business opportunities, and improved infrastructure. Mutun Beach, a well-known coastal destination on the southern coast of Sumatra, contributes greatly to the Regional Original Income (PAD) of Lampung Province and provides livelihoods for surrounding communities. Yet despite its popularity, the area continues to face persistent problems such as weak administrative management, limited community participation, inadequate facilities, and signs of environmental degradation, all of which threaten its long-term sustainability. This service project therefore focuses on designing a comprehensive plan for sustainable tourism growth at Mutun Beach for the 2025–2030 period. A participatory strategy is employed through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) involving local government, tourism stakeholders, community members, academics, and potential investors to ensure inclusive decision-making. The resulting five-stage roadmap emphasizes strengthening tourism regulations, constructing eco-friendly infrastructure, empowering residents with training and entrepreneurial opportunities, creating tourism products that highlight environmental and cultural values, and adopting digital marketing to reach broader audiences. Success indicators include increased regional revenue, rising visitor numbers, higher tourist satisfaction, and measurable improvements in coastal environmental health. Implementing this roadmap is urgent because coastal tourism directly supports economic growth, provides steady employment, and safeguards natural resources, ensuring that Mutun Beach remains both competitive and environmentally resilient for generations to come.

The resulting photographs prioritise the idea behind the work and often use imagination. The pre-production stage of the conceptual photography ‘Mother's Hands’ depicts mothers as loving and strong figures who maintain their identity as women with traditional Javanese nuances. This work conveys a message about the balance between domestic roles and self-esteem and reflects cultural values. The balance between the roles of woman and mother is the concept. The mother is the bearer of household responsibilities and an educator, while also being a woman who maintains her dignity and appearance with grace as a form of self-respect. Visually, this photographic work presents a Javanese mother who is a housewife and her accomplished daughter, who is the result of her mother's upbringing. The photoshoot took place indoors, with gebyok accents and other supporting props in line with the concept. The final result of the conceptual photography ‘Tangan Ibu’ is a photo that combines aesthetic and narrative elements through a meaningful visual presentation. This work provides an experience that is not only visually appealing but also invites emotional engagement from the audience. It can also serve as a reference for photography.
