Increasing population density is now affecting all aspects. Spatial planning that is not conducive affects the level of community welfare. Reduced land makes people unable to grow crops to the fullest. Modern agriculture can be implemented in a simple way, namely starting from the family environment by utilizing narrow land or through the use of land that is not large. Utilization of land that is not large is by using a verticultural cropping system which can overcome the narrowness of the land. The activities carried out were at KWT Dewi Sartika, to be precise, in the Sentul Village, Blitar City. The activities carried out are counseling and mentoring regarding the incorporation and application of verticultural methods in dealing with less extensive land. The implementation of this activity aims to educate the public regarding the use of narrow land for conventional, organic and commercial farming. This activities also aims to update the vertical system that has been carried out by the community.

The concept of the smart city has emerged as a strategic response to rapid urbanization, increasing population density, and escalating environmental degradation. It is designed to create more efficient urban management through the integration of information and communication technologies, with the primary goal of enhancing public services, optimizing resource use, and improving citizens’ quality of life. One of its most significant promises is its potential to mitigate ecological challenges, particularly in monitoring and reducing air pollution levels. This study aims to analyze the impact of smart city implementation on urban ecology and quality of life, focusing on air quality as a key indicator. A quantitative comparative approach was applied, using both primary data from air quality measurements PM2.5, CO₂, NO₂, and AQI and secondary data from government reports, environmental agencies, and academic publications. The research was conducted in five major Asian cities recognized for adopting smart city initiatives. The results reveal varied outcomes: Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur demonstrated substantial improvements in air quality and livability, while Beijing and New Delhi continued to struggle with severe pollution. Jakarta showed partial progress, though improvements remain limited. These findings indicate that while technology is critical, it alone does not ensure ecological sustainability. Effective governance, public participation, and context-based strategies are equally crucial. This study highlights the need for smart city policies to prioritize ecological resilience and human well-being as central elements of sustainable urban development.

Soil in a construction must have a high soil density value, a high soil density value affects the carrying capacity of the soil in carrying the load on it. dynamic cone penetration test / DCP (Dynamic Cone Penetrometer) is often performed. To get the CBR value, the DCP test results are correlated with a DCP-CBR Value Correlation formula. However, to anticipate deficiencies in the CBR-DCP correlation test, it is necessary to correct it with the DCP-CBR Correlation Formula from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing which is generally accepted for all regions of Indonesia. This research was conducted by conducting DCP tests at 8 points in the field and then taking soil samples which would then be taken to the laboratory to test the physical properties of the soil. After all the data has been obtained, then analyze and formulate the DCP – CBR correlation formula and compare it with the correlation formula. After doing the research, it is found that the DCP – CBR correlation formula model studied has the formula Log CBR = 3.2322 – 1.512 Log DCP, where this formula is generally in accordance with the DCP – CBR correlation formula from the Ministry of Public Works because of the position of the curve. slightly above the curve of the DCP-CBR Correlation formula of the Ministry of PUPR

Runway or runway is an area used by aircraft to take off. The length of the runway depends on the size of the aircraft served. Runway has a pavement structure that can withstand the weight of an aircraft when it wants to fly. This study discusses the damage to the surface structure of the Threshold 07 and Threshold 25 runways at the Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman (SAMS) runway in Sepinggan Balikpapan. Damage to the pavement surface often results from significant heat temperatures from the aircraft when taking off. Visual observations show that there are problems with the Threshold 07 and Threshold 25 pavement surfaces, the damage that occurs is the change in the surface shape of some segments, where the surface deformation eleves are up to 40 mm. Test results from Coredrill samples show that there are internal problems in the asphalt mixture, namely high asphalt content and low density value. By looking at the conditions above, there are problems caused by external and internal factors of the existing pavement, especially the surface conditions namely Threshold which is a location where the load is in MTOW conditions and the aircraft is moving slowly as well as high temperatures (environment and pavement)
