Islamic law faces significant challenges from the rapid advancements in bioethics and artificial intelligence (AI). The current responsive approach, based on ad-hoc fatwas, is deemed inadequate to address the systemic ethical dilemmas posed by these disruptive technologies. This research aims to propose a proactive and systematic ijtihad framework capable of anticipating and guiding technological innovation to align with the higher objectives of Shari'ah (Maqasid al-Shari'ah). Using a qualitative, library-based method with a juridical-normative and philosophical approach, this study analyzes primary and secondary Islamic legal sources through the Maqasid al-Shari'ah theoretical framework. The research finds the current model to be limited and, as a solution, offers a novelty in the form of the Hierarchical Model of Technological Ijtihad (HI-Tech). This model is a structured, interdisciplinary reasoning process, supported by a proposed institution, the Bio-Artificial Ijtihad Council (MIBA), and a digital platform, "Nur-Fatwa," for dissemination. The implication of these findings is the need for a paradigm shift for Islamic legal institutions towards an anticipatory, interdisciplinary, and institutionalized approach to address contemporary technological issues, thereby ensuring the continued relevance of Islamic law.

This paper aims to explore the legal basis and ethical reasoning for the revocation of parental rights due to domestic violence by placing the child's best interests as a compass and mapping the gap between norms and judicial practices. The method used is normative-doctrinal legal research based on a literature review of the Domestic Violence Law, the Marriage Law, the Child Protection Law, selected jurisprudence, and scientific literature, analyzed qualitatively through systematic interpretation, argument construction, and linking to the facts of the impact of domestic violence on children. The results show that positive law provides a firm basis for sanctions and protections including restrictions on interaction and revocation of custody rights, but implementation is often hampered by vague evidence of psychological violence, the victim's economic dependence, and weak execution of alimony; revocation effectively breaks the cycle when accompanied by a protection order, a post-decision parenting plan, and ongoing psychosocial support. Policy implications include guidelines for proving coercive control, expanding access to timely protection orders, integrating trauma-informed services in religious courts, and a mechanism for executing alimony that does not burden victims, with schools, community health centers, and communities as early detection nodes. Ultimately, legal work and social networks converge in one simple goal: that home again means a safe place for children to return.

Opinion is a person's opinion or thought regarding a problem that is currently occurring in society. An opinion must pay attention to the effectiveness of the sentence so that the reader can capture its contents. Therefore, this study will focus on the effectiveness of a sentence in a collection of opinions. This study was conducted to describe the effectiveness of sentences in a collection of opinions as critical reading teaching materials. This type of study is qualitative with a descriptive method; the technique for collecting data is using the listening and note-taking technique. The results of this study indicate that there are still several sentences that are not effective, so that readers have difficulty capturing their contents properly. Effective sentences meet requirements such as the economy of words, commensurate structure, logical language, and careful reasoning. Meanwhile, ineffective sentences occur because the structure of the sentence does not show unity, is wasteful of words or long-winded explanations, and lacks clarity in conveying information. The benefits of this study, in practice, are that it makes it easier for readers to determine the effectiveness of sentences in a collection of opinions. This study took data in the form of ineffective sentences contained in a collection of opinions for statistical literacy, the November 2024 edition of critical reading teaching materials for high school students.

Colitis is an inflammatory characterized by thickening of the mucosal wall of the colon. The Colon In Loop examination is one of the diagnostic procedures for colitis, utilizing contrast media to assess the functional condition of the colon. At the Radiology Installation of RSUD (Regional General Hospital) Banyumas, the radiological procedure for Colon In Loop was performed on post-colostomy patients, thus differs from previous studies. This study aims to identify the examination procedure of Colon In Loop at RSUD Banyumas, the rationale for using Anteroposterior (AP) and Lateral projections, and the reason for not performing evacuation before the administration of negative contrast media. This qualitative descriptive study employed a case. The subjects included three radiographers, one radiology nurse, and one radiology specialist. The object of study was the Colon In Loop Post Colostomy examination procedure in colitis cases. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis involved data reduction and data presentation. confirmed with theory, and narrative presentation leading to conclusions. Result shows contrast media consisting of 250 grams of barium sulfate dissolved in 1000 ml of water (25% w/v). The examination is performed in stages followed by AP and Lateral projection imaging to evaluate contrast distribution in the colon. Negative contrast media administration is performed without prior evacuation to enhance patient comfort and reduce examination time. When administering negative contrast media, evacuation is not performed before air is introduced. This is done based on the patient's condition, to shorten the examination time, and due to considerations regarding the quality of barium sulfate; thus, evacuation could impair barium adherence to the colon mucosa. In conclusion, AP and lateral projections are considered adequate for establishing a diagnosis of colitis. The omission of evacuation is based on patient condition, time efficiency, and the suboptimal quality of barium. It is recommended to perform evacuation and increase barium concentration to improve adherence to the colon mucosal wall.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. In 2023, 48 cases of DHF were reported in the Kebun Lada Public Health Center area, reflecting a high incidence rate and limited medical resources in managing the cases. This situation emphasizes the need for an alternative solution that can support a fast and accurate diagnostic process. This study aims to develop an expert system for diagnosing DHF using the Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) method. CBR functions by comparing the symptoms experienced by patients with previous cases stored in the knowledge base, thereby producing relevant diagnostic recommendations. The proposed system is implemented as a web-based application using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database management system. The expected outcomes of this study are to assist medical personnel in reducing diagnostic time, improving the accuracy of decision-making, and increasing the effectiveness of health services in primary healthcare facilities. In addition, the system is designed to provide wider access for the community to recognize early symptoms of DHF, which can contribute to preventive actions and reduce the risk of severe complications. Thus, the developed expert system has the potential to become a practical solution to overcome the shortage of medical personnel and enhance public health awareness.

This research is directed to answer two main problems: the form of liability imposed on parking service providers toward consumers, and how the Supreme Court decision reflects (or diverges from) legal justice and proportionality. The study aims to examine the legal liability approach adopted in the Supreme Court Decision Number 2157/K/Pdt/2010 and to formulate an ideal concept of a fair and proportional limitation of liability for parking service operators. In the aforementioned decision, the Supreme Court held the parking operator liable for the loss of a consumer’s vehicle, even though a disclaimer clause had been clearly printed on the parking ticket. This ruling raised controversy, as it seemed to overlook the fact that the operator had fulfilled their duties to a reasonable and professional standard. The substance of parking as an object of regional tax was disregarded in the judicial consideration, which focused solely on consumer protection law. This has led to an interpretation that imposes an almost unlimited liability on the service provider. This study employs doctrinal legal research, supported by conceptual approaches in parking regulation and legal case analysis. The method used is normative legal research (doctrinal) with statutory, conceptual (regarding lease and deposit agreements), and judicial approaches. The findings indicate that parking service providers should not be subjected to absolute liability. Instead, the assessment of liability must take into account the principles of justice, proportionality, and contributory negligence. Hence, there is a need for a clear formulation of liability limitations that not only safeguard consumer rights but also consider the reasonable obligations of business actors, particularly within the context of regional tax regulations related to parking.

This study explores the alignment between science learning practices and children’s cognitive development stages based on Jean Piaget’s theory. Ten academic publications were systematically reviewed to examine how Piaget’s framework can be applied in science education. The findings highlight that integrating cognitive development theory is highly relevant for improving the quality of teaching and learning in schools. At the concrete operational stage (approximately 7–11 years), children learn best through direct experiences, manipulation of real objects, contextual media, and experiments that connect concepts with daily life. These methods help foster curiosity and reinforce conceptual understanding. As learners progress to the formal operational stage (around 11 years and above), they begin to think abstractly, reason logically, and analyze critically. At this level, student-centered approaches, inquiry-based methods, and constructivist learning become more effective in enhancing problem-solving, creativity, and higher-order thinking skills. The review also indicates that adapting instruction to developmental stages supports more meaningful and sustainable learning outcomes. In the Indonesian educational context, this approach can address challenges such as limited classroom facilities, diverse student learning styles, and a curriculum that is often overloaded. By applying Piaget’s insights, teachers can design learning strategies that bridge abstract concepts with concrete understanding, thus increasing student motivation and engagement. In conclusion, aligning science education with Piaget’s cognitive stages is an effective way to improve student performance and ensure long-term academic growth. The study provides valuable input for teachers, researchers, and policymakers in developing innovative, student-centered science and mathematics education.

This study examines the impact of workload and work stress on employee job satisfaction at PT Inhutani I UMI Gresik, a wood-processing company operating under Perum Perhutani. The research employed a quantitative design with an associative (causal) approach to identify the extent to which workload and stress contribute to variations in job satisfaction. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 48 employees selected using a simple random sampling method. The analytical process involved validity and reliability testing, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, as well as t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that workload and work stress, when considered simultaneously, have a significant influence on job satisfaction. However, partial testing revealed that workload did not exert a significant effect, while work stress had a statistically significant negative impact on satisfaction. Regression analysis further demonstrated that work stress emerged as the dominant predictor, accounting for a larger proportion of variance compared to workload, as reflected by the higher beta coefficient and partial determination value. These findings suggest that while workload may serve as a motivator when maintained within reasonable limits, unmanaged stress arising from role ambiguity, conflicting demands, and organizational pressures significantly undermines job satisfaction. The study underscores the importance of stress management strategies within organizations, particularly in high-demand industries such as forestry and wood processing. Practical implications include the need for supportive leadership, effective communication, realistic target-setting, and the implementation of employee assistance programs. By addressing stress more effectively, organizations can enhance employee well-being, foster greater job satisfaction, and ultimately improve overall organizational performance.

Creative thinking skills are fundamental competencies to be nurtured in 21st-century learning, especially within science education. One promising approach to developing these skills is the use of an Etno-STEM integrated E-Module implemented through the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. The Etno-STEM integration seeks to link local wisdom and culture with the domains of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, thereby creating meaningful, contextualized learning experiences. This study aims to investigate the impact of implementing an Etno-STEM integrated E-Module through PjBL on students’ creative thinking skills. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with two classes: an experimental group using the Etno-STEM integrated E-Module and a control group using cooperative learning strategies. Research instruments comprised both test and non-test tools. The test instrument included objective-reasoned questions aligned with four creative thinking indicators—fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration—while the non-test instrument involved structured observation sheets to monitor learning implementation. Data analysis demonstrated that the Etno-STEM integrated E-Module using the PjBL model significantly improved students’ creative thinking skills compared to conventional approaches. This finding highlights the potential of combining local wisdom with innovative instructional models as an effective and culturally responsive strategy for advancing science learning aligned with 21st-century educational demands.

This study provides an in-depth examination of the emergence of servitude rights (hak servituut) arising from procedural errors in land parcel division, which result in landlocked plots without road access. Servitude rights, as regulated in Article 674 of the Indonesian Civil Code and reinforced by the Conversion Provision of Article I point 6 of the Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA), constitute a legal burden imposed on one parcel of land for the benefit of another, thereby ensuring that landlocked owners gain reasonable access. Although the UUPA serves as the national agrarian framework, the servitude concept remains highly relevant and functions as a crucial legal instrument to safeguard the rights of affected landowners. This research employs a normative juridical approach, integrating statutory and conceptual analyses to explore the consistency between legal theory and practice. The findings demonstrate that parcel division conducted without considering the social function of land, as mandated by Article 6 of the UUPA, can trigger access disputes that adversely affect community interests. Dispute resolution may proceed through litigation or non-litigation channels, with mediation emerging as the more effective and efficient option for maintaining harmonious relations between parties. Article 667 of the Civil Code provides a clear legal basis for landlocked property owners to obtain access while obligating them to pay fair compensation to the burdened land. Based on these findings, the study recommends strict adherence to lawful land division procedures and the development of detailed technical guidelines on servitude compensation to prevent future disputes and to strengthen legal certainty for all stakeholders.

Unstable financial conditions in insurance companies can serve as an early indicator of potential bankruptcy, which may have wide-ranging impacts on policyholders, shareholders, and the overall stability of the financial sector. Therefore, early detection of bankruptcy risk is critically important. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Springate model in identifying potential bankruptcy among insurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2022–2024 period. The Springate model was chosen due to its simplicity and its ability to provide quantitative insights into a company's financial condition. Data were collected from the annual financial statements of 16 companies selected through purposive sampling based on the completeness and consistency of their financial reporting. The model applies the S-Score calculation as the basis for classifying companies into financial distress or non-financial distress categories. The analysis revealed that six companies consistently exhibited signs of financial difficulty, with three of them identified as being in a state of financial distress for three consecutive years. Meanwhile, the other ten companies demonstrated stable and healthy financial conditions throughout the observation period. These findings indicate that the Springate model is reasonably practical as an early detection tool for bankruptcy risk, particularly in the insurance sector, which is influenced by various internal factors such as risk management, as well as external factors like economic fluctuations and government regulations. Therefore, this model can be utilized as a decision-support tool for both management and investors in making strategic financial decisions.

This study aims to design and develop an expert system to assist in diagnosing diseases in dairy cattle at Cibugary Farm using the Forward Chaining method. The background of this research lies in the limited knowledge of farmers in identifying early symptoms of diseases, which often leads to delays in medical treatment and negatively affects dairy cattle productivity. To address this issue, an expert system was designed to replicate the reasoning process of a human expert through a knowledge base containing diagnostic rules derived from observable symptoms. The Forward Chaining method was chosen because of its capability to trace facts from known symptoms toward a conclusion regarding the type of disease affecting the cattle. The system was developed by incorporating common disease symptoms, inference rules, and a decision-making mechanism that simulates expert analysis. Testing was carried out on several diagnostic scenarios to evaluate the accuracy and efficiency of the system. The results of the study indicate that the expert system can provide an initial diagnosis quickly and accurately, producing outputs consistent with expert assessments. This functionality assists farmers in making timely decisions regarding appropriate medical interventions, thereby reducing treatment delays and minimizing the risk of disease transmission within the herd. Consequently, the Forward Chaining-based expert system is expected to serve as an innovative solution to improve dairy cattle health management and support sustainable livestock productivity at Cibugary Farm.

Anxiety is an emotional condition that causes feelings of discomfort, helplessness, and uncertainty, often without a clear reason. Among breast cancer (carcinoma mammae) patients, anxiety commonly arises due to treatment processes, physical changes, and uncertainty regarding recovery. Spirituality, which involves belief in God Almighty and connection with transcendental aspects, is believed to help individuals cope with uncertain and challenging situations, including serious illness. This study aimed to determine the relationship between spiritual level and anxiety level among breast cancer patients in Semarang. The research used a quantitative correlational design with a sample of 110 respondents selected through purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria. The instruments employed were the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-42) to assess anxiety levels and the Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) to measure spirituality. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test to examine the relationship between variables. The results showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant relationship between spirituality level and anxiety level in breast cancer patients. The findings suggest that higher levels of spirituality are associated with lower anxiety levels. Therefore, interventions that support and strengthen spiritual aspects may be effective in reducing anxiety among breast cancer patients. This study recommends that healthcare professionals incorporate spiritual approaches as part of holistic care to improve psychological well-being in patients undergoing cancer treatment.
