Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia often face challenges in protecting their Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), particularly due to limited understanding of trademark, copyright, and product design registration. This lack of legal awareness reduces competitiveness and increases the risk of ownership disputes. This Community Service Program aimed to enhance the legal knowledge and awareness of MSMEs regarding IPR through an interactive counseling activity in Bacang Subdistrict, Pangkal Pinang City. The method included material presentation, interactive discussions, IPR registration simulations, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test. The activity was attended by 25 participants from various business sectors. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding, as evidenced by the average pre-test score of 43.08 increasing to 77.08 in the post-test, representing a 79% improvement. Beyond knowledge enhancement, participants also demonstrated a shift in mindset, with the majority expressing a commitment to initiate IPR registration steps. These findings confirm that practice-based counseling combined with interactive discussions is effective in increasing MSME legal awareness and supporting the protection of intellectual assets through IPR mechanisms

his community service activity was carried out in Sukajaya Village, Pulau Besar District, Bangka Selatan Regency on August 15, 2025, aiming to enhance the capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to level up through strengthening business legality and marketing strategies. The main problems faced by local MSMEs are the lack of understanding regarding the importance of Business Identification Numbers (NIB), limited awareness of trademark protection, and insufficient knowledge of modern marketing strategies. The activity was implemented using a participatory approach through counseling, group discussions, and hands-on practices, including NIB registration, introduction to trademark protection procedures, and digital marketing training. The results show an increased understanding and awareness among MSME actors regarding the importance of business legality for accessing financing and cooperation, better legal awareness of trademark protection as a product identity, and basic skills in utilizing social media and digital platforms as marketing tools. These outcomes demonstrate that the activity significantly contributes to strengthening MSME capacity in Sukajaya Village to become more competitive and contribute to local economic development.

Akuntansi Pajak dan Kebijakan Ekonomi Digital 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economic growth by creating employment opportunities and contributing significantly to the national GDP. However, their contribution to the country’s tax revenue remains relatively low compared to their overall economic impact. This study aims to examine the contribution of the MSME sector to Indonesia’s tax revenue and to identify the factors influencing this contribution level. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), and the Ministry of Finance covering the period 2018–2023. The findings indicate that the tax contribution from MSMEs has gradually increased over the years, although it still accounts for less than one percent of total national tax revenue. This positive trend is supported by the implementation of lower tax rates, the digitalization of tax systems, and the growing tax awareness among business owners. The study suggests that further administrative simplification and stronger government support are essential to enhance the role of MSMEs in strengthening Indonesia’s fiscal capacity

Presently, several micro, little, and medium firms (MSMEs) encounter more intricate difficulties in financial management, particularly concerning efficient capital planning and allocation.  Numerous business proprietors continue to struggle with the effective management of financial resources due to insufficient financial knowledge regarding principles, a lack of confidence in resource management, an unsupportive financial attitude, or reliance on misconceptions about finance.  This study aims to examine the impact of financial knowledge, financial self-efficacy, and financial attitude on the capital budgeting decisions of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bandar Lampung.  This research employs a quantitative methodology with primary data gathered from 401 respondents chosen via purposive sampling.  Prior to the analysis of the data utilizing multiple linear regression with SPSS software, it underwent testing for validity, reliability, and classical assumptions.  The findings indicated that financial knowledge, financial self-efficacy, and financial attitude exerted a positive and significant impact on capital budgeting decisions, both individually and collectively.  The results affirm that the Theory of Planned Behavior is crucial in elucidating how knowledge, beliefs, and attitudes underpin rational, strategic, and sustainable decision-making for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The blue economy is widely promoted as a pathway to sustainable development, yet women’s enterprises remain marginalized by structural barriers. This study investigates whether support systems directly influence the sustainability of coastal women’s businesses in Bulukumba South Sulawesi, Indonesia, while applying the Quintuple Bottom Line (QBL) and Theory of Change (Toc) frameworks. A quantitative design using survey data from women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) was analyzed through structural equation modeling (SEM). The model assessed the reliability of constructs and tested the hypothesized effect of support systems including access to finance, social support, and public policy on sustainability outcomes. Findings reveal that although the measurement model demonstrated reliability and validity, support systems showed no significant direct effect on sustainability. This result contrasts with much of the existing literature but aligns with recent studies emphasizing mediation through financial literacy, managerial capacity, and institutional scaffolding. The study thus adds nuance by demonstrating that external interventions, in isolation, are insufficient for sustaining women’s enterprises in coastal contexts. The research contributes theoretically by extending QBL and Toc to gendered coastal entrepreneurship and practically by highlighting the need for integrated, gender-sensitive policies. Future research should examine mediating and moderating mechanisms that translate support into long term sustainability.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economy. However, most business actors have not fully implemented proper inventory accounting in accordance with standards. This study aims to analyze the recognition, measurement, presentation, and disclosure of raw material inventories at Pabrik Super Jaya and evaluate their compliance with the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM). This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with primary data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that inventory recognition is still manual, using notebooks without formal evidence. Measurement is based on raw material costs, labor, and daily expenses, without formal methods such as FIFO or average. Financial reporting is limited to a simple income statement without detailed inventory or notes to financial statements. Disclosure is limited to physical quantities and nominal values. Thus, Pabrik Super Jaya’s inventory practices are not fully aligned with SAK EMKM standards

The utilization of Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia has an important role in encouraging digitalization of transactions and improving financial recording and reporting. The background of this study is the need for MSMEs to adapt to the development of digital payment technology, especially in the midst of accelerated digitization triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic. Although QRIS provides various benefits, such as ease of transactions and automatic recording, there are still a number of obstacles such as limited digital literacy, uneven infrastructure, and concerns related to cybersecurity, especially in remote areas. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach to SMEs that have adopted QRIS in several regions in Indonesia. Data were collected through field observations, and documentation studies related to the use of QRIS in business activities. Data analysis was conducted thematically to explore in-depth understanding of the experiences, challenges, and benefits felt by MSME actors in the use of QRIS. The results showed that QRIS makes it easier for MSMEs to process payments and automatic digital transaction recording, thereby increasing the accuracy and transparency of financial statements. However, limited access to electricity, digital devices, and digital security literacy are significant barriers to optimal implementation of QRIS. The security aspect of digital transactions is an important concern for MSMEs, who need further education and technical support. Thus, strengthening digital literacy, improving infrastructure, and strict cybersecurity regulations are urgently needed to encourage wider and inclusive adoption of QRIS among MSMEs in Indonesia.

This community service program was carried out in Dolok Kahean Village, Tapian Dolok District, Simalungun Regency, with the main focus on optimizing digital literacy to increase the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The purpose of this program is to strengthen the competitive position of MSMEs, especially Rengginang Ibu Saliem, who still rely on conventional marketing systems and have a minimal understanding of business digitalization. The method used is a participatory and educational approach, carried out in four systematic stages: needs assessment, material design, program implementation, and mentoring and evaluation. The results of the activity showed significant achievements, with an increase in digital literacy understanding by 80% based on a comparison of pre-service and post-service. In practice, partners have succeeded in forming a business digital identity, namely @rengginanghuta_ibusaliem Instagram accounts, and are able to run digital marketing starting from content processes to customer interaction. Theoretically, these findings strengthen the argument that digital literacy is an essential foundation in facing the challenges of the digital economy, where increased competitiveness is not only influenced by technical skills, but also by changes in mindset and business independence. The implication of this program is that local MSMEs now have adequate capabilities and platforms to expand market reach beyond the village boundaries.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economic development, particularly in job creation, income distribution, and tax revenue contribution. To support MSMEs and encourage formal tax participation, the government issued Government Regulation (PP) No. 23 of 2018, which reduced the Final Income Tax (PPh Final) rate from 1% to 0.5% of gross turnover. This policy aims to increase tax compliance, reduce administrative burdens, and expand the national tax base. This study analyzes the impact of the implementation of the Final Income Tax policy on MSME taxpayer compliance, focusing on reporting and payment behavior. The findings indicate that the tax rate reduction positively influences compliance levels among MSME taxpayers. However, several challenges persist, including limited understanding of tax procedures, lack of socialization, and low digital literacy related to tax systems. Therefore, beyond lowering tax rates, continuous education, mentoring, and the enhancement of digital-based tax services are necessary to strengthen voluntary compliance. This policy is considered a strategic initiative in improving Indonesia’s tax system and supporting sustainable economic growth driven by the MSME sector.

This study aims to examine how Islamic financing contributes to the empowerment of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in the trade sector. MSMEs play a crucial role as one of the main pillars of the national economy; however, they continue to face various challenges such as limited access to capital, inadequate managerial skills, and low levels of financial literacy. Islamic financing emerges as a solution by applying fundamental Islamic principles, including the prohibition of usury (riba), fairness, and transparency in all financial transactions. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method based on a literature review from various reliable sources. The findings reveal that Islamic financing, through contracts such as murabahah, musyarakah, mudharabah, and ijarah, not only provides access to capital but also offers mentoring and training programs to help entrepreneurs manage their businesses more professionally. The positive impact of Islamic financing can be seen in the improvement of business performance, increased turnover, and enhanced welfare among MSME actors. Furthermore, this system contributes to the stability of the Islamic banking industry and promotes sustainable national economic growth. Therefore, further development of Islamic financing is necessary to expand its reach and benefit a greater number of small and medium enterprises across Indonesia.

This study aims to examine the role of Coretax as a digital innovation in reporting the Periodic Tax Return (SPT Masa) for Income Tax Article 21 (PPh 21), which has been nationally implemented since 2025. Coretax is an integrated tax administration system developed by the Directorate General of Taxes to combine the processes of electronic withholding tax slip (e-Bupot) creation, tax return reporting, and tax payment into one efficient and accurate online platform. The system simplifies reporting procedures, accelerates administrative processes, and enhances taxpayer compliance through real-time data integration and automatic validation. However, the implementation of Coretax faces challenges such as technical issues, intensive training needs for staff at Tax Service Offices, and limited digital literacy among taxpayers, especially micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This study provides an overview of Coretax’s contribution to supporting the digital transformation of Indonesia’s tax system while identifying obstacles that must be addressed to ensure optimal system performance.
