This study aims to comprehensively examine the concept of gratitude (shukr) from the perspective of the Qur'an by employing a thematic interpretation approach ( tafsīr al-maw ḍ ū'ī ) combined with the grounded theory method. This dual approach allows for an in-depth exploration of Qur'anic verses related to gratitude while also constructing theoretical frameworks derived directly from the primary data—namely, the Qur'anic text itself. The research adopts a qualitative, library-based methodology, where relevant verses are collected, categorized, and regularly analyzed to understand how gratitude is depicted, what forms it takes, and how it influences human life. The findings reveal that gratitude in the Qur'an goes beyond verbal expressions of gratitude to God. It encompasses inner awareness, acknowledgment of divine favor, wise utilization of blessings, and concrete actions that reflect obedience to God. Gratitude is presented as an active response to divine grace, resulting in positive behavior, spiritual closeness, and the strengthening of ethical and social dimensions in a believer's life. Moreover, the Qur'an affirms that those who are grateful are not only spiritually elevated but also promised an increase in blessings and a noble status in the sight of God. In the current socio-religious context, the value of gratitude holds significant relevance as a foundation for character development and emotional resilience. This study affirms that gratitude is a universal Islamic value that integrates theological, psychological, and ethical aspects. Thus, it is expected that this research contributes both theoretically and practically to the development of thematic Qur'anic studies and a deeper understanding of spiritual consciousness.

The younger generation in Indonesia faces significant challenges in the form of an identity crisis and moral degradation due to the increasingly strong influence of other cultures in the era of globalization and the fifth industrial revolution. A pragmatic culture that does not always align with national identity puts pressure on Pancasila principles such as belief in God, humanity, unity, democracy, and social justice. As a result, character education integrated into social studies instruction serves as a tactical tool to reintroduce these fundamental principles to students from an early age. This study, using qualitative methodology and a descriptive design, found that contextualized and project-based social studies instruction not only enhances students' understanding of Pancasila values but also fosters the growth of critical thinking skills, social empathy, reflective attitudes, and a spirit of cooperation. When combined with digital tools like Canva, Taman Siswa's teachings—niteni, niroake, and nambahi—have proven successful in developing students' creativity and enhancing their purpose and enjoyment in learning.

This study aims to analyze the implications of the Imago Dei doctrine in Indonesian local wisdom for enriching Christian Religious Education (PAK) materials from Jürgen Moltmann's perspective. This research uses a qualitative approach with library research design and Miles-Huberman interactive analysis model. The findings reveal that Indonesian local wisdom such as pela gandong, dalihan na tolu, huma betang, and menyama braya have deep resonance with the Imago Dei doctrine, particularly in Moltmann's relational theological perspective. The integration of local wisdom with the Imago Dei doctrine brings profound theological implications including expanding understanding of fellowship (koinonia), holistic salvation, transformative leadership, and contextual spirituality. This study recommends that PAK educators develop curricula that systematically integrate local wisdom with theological foundations, use participatory pedagogical approaches, build sensitivity to cultural contexts, and create collaborative networks with traditional leaders. The integration of local wisdom with the Imago Dei doctrine is not merely a pedagogical strategy but a theological calling to realize God's Kingdom in the Indonesian context.

This study explores the philosophical and theological implications of John Dewey's pedagogical thought, particularly his emphasis on reflective practice and experiential learning, within the context of Contemporary Christian Religious Education (PAK). Despite its potential to foster active, student-centered learning, a significant gap exists in deeply examining how Dewey's principles align with or challenge PAK's theological aim of faith formation. This qualitative library research, employing Miles and Huberman's data analysis model, addresses this gap by synthesizing Dewey's pedagogical concepts with the Christian theology of spiritual growth, particularly informed by 1 Corinthians 3:6, which posits that God gives the increase. The findings reveal that Dewey's experiential learning framework can profoundly enrich PAK by shifting the teacher's role from a primary knowledge dispenser to a facilitator who guides students in applying biblical truths to real-life experiences. This approach encourages holistic development encompassing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. However, the implementation necessitates a robust theological filter, maintaining that biblical truth is final and acknowledging God's sovereignty in true spiritual growth. The study concludes that while Dewey's pedagogy provides practical strategies for student engagement and character development, its successful integration into PAK hinges on a clear understanding of its theological boundaries, ensuring that pedagogical flexibility is balanced with doctrinal integrity. This research offers a theoretical foundation for transformative PAK practices, aiming to cultivate knowledgeable Christian students with deep and active faith.

The tradition of communicating with ancestral spirits remains a spiritual practice upheld by various indigenous communities in Indonesia. This tradition is considered a form of respect toward ancestors who are believed to maintain a spiritual connection with their descendants. This article aims to trace the historical roots and cultural meanings of communication with ancestral spirits and reflect on its implications for the Christian faith. Using a qualitative approach and literature review of spiritual practices among several ethnic groups, it was found that such communication is often rooted in relational values, reverence, and the search for life’s meaning. However, Christian reflection calls believers to distinguish between cultural honor and beliefs that may contradict faith in the living God. This article offers a dialogical and contextual approach to wisely and theologically understand and respond to this phenomenon.

This journal was written with the aim of discussing Paul's theology of God's salvation, monergism and synergism. Reviewing Paul's theology of God's true salvation will lead people to a fundamental understanding and strengthen one's hold on being a Christian. There is an understanding that salvation is a human effort and God's work (Synerism). Basically, salvation is the work of God in freeing man from sin. For by the grace of God salvation is wrought, that is, by the sacrifice and redemption of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. So through this writing, man must hold fast that salvation is a gift from God, not a human effort. This writing method uses a qualitative method through library search, through text sources, such as academic journals, books, papers, and other related literature available in the library.

Javanese culture is a product of the community’s collective thought, expressed through traditions that have been preserved over generations. However, cultural practices may face decline due to the pressures of modernization and changing times. Therefore, efforts to preserve and sustain cultural heritage are essential. One method of cultural transmission is through traditional practices. The Ngirim Banyu tradition at Sumber Genitri, Claket Village, represents a form of semi-oral folklore that is still regularly performed by the local community in Claket Village, Pacet District, Mojokerto Regency. This tradition is carried out as an expression of gratitude to God Almighty for the blessings received, particularly the natural spring that sustains the village. This study aims to explore the origins, procedures, ritual components (ubarampe), symbolic meanings, functions, transformations, and preservation efforts related to the Ngirim Banyu tradition at Sumber Genitri. The research also seeks to broaden the researcher’s perspective, knowledge, and experience concerning the existence of local traditions. The theoretical framework used in this study includes concepts of folklore, symbolism and meaning, belief systems, cultural functions, cultural change, and cultural preservation strategies.

This study aims to comparatively analyze the concept of tawhid in Sunni and Shi'a Imamiyyah schools from a theological perspective. Using an exploratory qualitative approach and literature study method, this research examines the theological structures of both traditions, identifying points of convergence and key differences in their understanding of God's oneness. The findings reveal that although both traditions uphold tawhid as the core of faith, differing epistemological approaches and authoritative frameworks lead to significant distinctions. The Sunni tradition emphasizes three dimensions of tawhid—rububiyyah, uluhiyyah, and asma’ wa sifat—while the Shi’a Imamiyyah integrates the concept with the doctrines of imamah and walayah. The study further highlights that such theological diversity can enrich Islamic intellectual tradition and foster constructive inter-sectarian dialogue when managed inclusively. The research recommends promoting sectarian tolerance education and inter-traditional dialogue as key strategies to enhance Islamic unity.

This article discusses the implementation of exorcism by Jesus Christ according to Mark 9:14-29 and its relevance to occult ministry at LPPS Palu. Through exegetical study, it is found that the power and authority of Jesus in casting out evil spirits emphasize the importance of faith and prayer as the main keys in similar ministries. The inability of Jesus’ disciples to cast out the evil spirit in this pericope serves as a reflection for contemporary ministry, which often also experiences failure due to a lack of faith and dependence on God. This article highlights the need for a proper understanding of the distinction between medical disorders and manifestations of dark powers, and affirms that exorcism should be carried out with authority in the name of Jesus. The practical implication of this research is the importance of strong spiritual preparation, faith, and a consistent prayer life in occult ministry within the church environment.

This study explores the role of Vihara Buddhagaya Watugong as a center for the revival of Buddhism in post-independence Indonesia. The main objective is to understand how this vihara contributed to the revitalization of Buddhism through historical, cultural, and spiritual lenses. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving archival research, in-depth interviews, architectural observation, and oral history. Findings reveal that Vihara Buddhagaya Watugong serves multiple functions as a place of worship, cultural hub, and interfaith dialogue platform. Its architectural features, such as the Avalokitesvara Pagoda and other sacred elements, illustrate a fusion of Buddhist values and local wisdom. The vihara actively engages in education, tradition preservation, and the strengthening of Buddhist religious identity within a multicultural society. These results suggest that the revival of Buddhism in Indonesia is not solely a spiritual phenomenon but also contributes to the national narrative of cultural identity and social harmony. Thus, Vihara Buddhagaya Watugong stands as a significant symbol of religious revitalization, cultural heritage, and social cohesion in modern Indonesia.

The moral crisis and rampant corruption among Christian leaders pose serious challenges that erode the credibility and integrity of religious institutions. This phenomenon not only tarnishes the image of Christianity institutionally but also weakens the foundation of ethics and spiritual values that should guide the lives of the congregation. This issue becomes even more pressing when it occurs in the realm of Christian education, a place where future leaders should be formed. This study aims to analyze Jonathan Lamb's concept of integrity as a strategic framework for addressing this crisis, especially in the context of Christian educational institutions. Using a qualitative approach and literature review, this study highlights Lamb's holistic view of integrity, which encompasses three main dimensions: wholeness of the person (wholeness), consistency between beliefs and actions (consistency), and full accountability to God (accountability to God). Lamb's concept of integrity is highly relevant amidst the increasing need for leaders who are not only competent but also possess proven character. The findings of this study indicate that to effectively implement the concept of integrity, Christian educational institutions need to take a two-pronged approach: first, comprehensively reform the curriculum so that integrity values are not only a separate subject, but are integrated into all disciplines and learning activities; Second, building an institutional culture that emphasizes moral exemplarity from leaders, lecturers, and educational staff. Furthermore, a sustainable character development system, transparent accountability evaluation, and open ethical discussion are needed. Education is not only about knowledge transfer, but also about character transformation. Therefore, integrity must be seen as the core of Christian education, not an add-on. This study concludes that Lamb's concept of integrity can be a transformative model that encourages the formation of future leaders with strong character, prevents moral failure, and restores public trust in Christian institutions

This study analyzes the mediating role of Friendly Leadership in transforming church culture from Performative Spirituality to Oikos Theology. Performative spirituality, which measures self-worth through performance and ritual, creates a hierarchical and oppressive church environment. This crisis demands a theological shift towards Oikos, a vision of the church as God's holistic, relational household that is responsible for the community and the environment. Through qualitative literature study methods, it was found that Friendly Leadership is a key mediator. This model, based on Christ's hospitality and friendship (John 15:15), serves a dual purpose: First, it dismantles performative spirituality by building psychological safety, reducing fear, and encouraging authentic vulnerability. Second, it effectively builds an Oikos culture by encouraging congregational participation (ownership) and expanding the church's focus from internal affairs to socio-ecological concerns. In conclusion, Friendly Leadership is a vital practical bridge for realizing healthy and inclusive cultural transformation for the 21st-century church.

The era of technological disruption, driven by the economic logic of "surveillance capitalism," has created a fragmenting digital architecture. The "filter bubble" or "echo chambers" mechanism algorithmically isolates individuals, exacerbated by a psychological condition of being "alone together" wherein individuals actively engage in a "flight from conversation." This convergence of algorithmic and psychological isolation has fueled an "age of outrage" and extreme social polarization. This crisis is fundamentally theological, as it reduces the dignity of the Imago Dei (image of God) to mere exploitable computational data. This research employs a qualitative library study method with a critical-analytical approach to analyze this phenomenon and propose a reconstruction of Christian leadership theology. This article argues that Christian leaders must develop a new theological competency termed "Digital Wisdom." This wisdom is rooted in a holistic theology that resists dualistic fragmentation. This reconstruction is embodied in the leader's role as spiritual (placing the Word of God as authority over algorithms), educational (building digital ethics and combating disinformation), integrity-based (rejecting partisan outrage), and humanistic (reaffirming the primacy of physical encounter and authentic relationship).

This study is motivated by the importance of prayer and fasting practices in the Christian tradition, which are increasingly marginalized in the midst of modern secularism and individualism. The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of prayer and fasting based on the principles in the Book of Esther and to examine its implications for the formation of contemporary Christian spirituality. This research employs a literature review method by examining biblical texts and contemporary theological literature to identify the characteristics of prayer and fasting that are pleasing to God. The results of the study indicate that the practice of prayer and fasting in the Book of Esther is not merely ritualistic, but an expression of faith, self-denial, and communal solidarity that leads to personal transformation and strengthened social sensitivity. The implication of this study is that the principles of prayer and fasting in the Book of Esther can serve as a model for the spiritual formation of the modern church, fostering intimacy with God and a commitment to addressing surrounding social issues. These findings contribute to the development of practical theology and contemporary Christian spirituality studies.

Moral : Jurnal kajian Pendidikan Islam 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ilmu Pendidikan Agama dan Filsafat Indonesia

Islam is a holistic religion, covering various dimensions of life that are harmoniously integrated. The dimensions of Islam consist of aspects of faith (belief), worship (ritual), morality (morality), and muamalah (social interaction). In the dimension of faith, Islam emphasizes faith in Allah, angels, holy books, apostles, the last days, and destiny, which are the spiritual foundation of every Muslim. The dimension of worship includes the practice of Islamic teachings in the form of formal rituals such as prayer, fasting, zakat, and hajj, which not only bring individuals closer to Allah, but also strengthen social solidarity. On the moral dimension, Islam teaches universal moral values, such as honesty, patience, and justice, which form the noble character of the individual. Meanwhile, the muamalah dimension includes the procedures for social, economic, and political interaction, which is based on the principles of justice, balance, and mutual benefit. These four dimensions complement each other, creating a balanced framework of life between a vertical relationship with God and a horizontal relationship with fellow humans and the environment. This research aims to explore the meaning, function, and relevance of the Islamic dimensions in modern life. With a descriptive qualitative approach, the results of the study show that a comprehensive understanding of the dimensions of Islam can be a solution to various contemporary challenges, such as moral crises, social inequality, and environmental degradation. This study recommends the holistic application of Islamic values in daily life to create a civilized social order.

Legal protection for consumers is an important issue in maintaining public trust in products circulating in the market, especially in subsidized cooking oil products. Decreasing quality or cutting product content can affect consumer perception, which has an impact on decreasing trust in the product brand. This study aims to analyze the impact of legal protection on the consequences of cutting subsidized cooking oil and how this incident affects public trust. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study analysis of the event of cutting the contents of cooking oil products by PT AEGA. The results of the study indicate that non-compliance with product quality standards can cause consumer distrust and worsen the brand image that has been identified with the government subsidy program. Therefore, it is important for the government and business actors to increase transparency, supervision, and law enforcement so that the public does not feel disadvantaged and continues to trust the products they consume. This study also recommends strengthening regulations and legal counseling to the public to increase their awareness and participation in consumer protection.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of funding sourced from Danantara—a digital platform that manages state investment with funding support from state-owned bank customers—in supporting the acceleration of national development. In the context of state investment, collaboration between the Investment Management Institution (LPI) and state-owned financial institutions is important as a form of fiscal innovation and expansion of non-APBN financing sources. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with literature studies from various scientific journals and related laws and regulations. The results of the study show that Danantara has the potential to be a reliable, flexible, and sustainable long-term funding instrument. Through funds collected from state-owned bank customers, state investment can be focused on strategic sectors such as infrastructure, energy, and digitalization. However, its effectiveness is still faced with regulatory challenges, transparency of governance, and public literacy regarding state investment mechanisms. For this reason, it is necessary to strengthen regulations and synergy between financial institutions, as well as increase public trust so that Danantara can function optimally as the main supporter in realizing fiscal independence and national economic growth.
